In Part 3 of my perfume powered world tour courtesy of Gerald Ghislain, I take on four more of the 20 fragrance The Scent of Departure collection. The itinerary for Monday starts in Budapest then off to London, Paris next, and finishing in Munich.
I was fortunate to receive samples of both new By Kilian fragrances, Bamboo Harmony and Water Calligraphy, as was my fellow CaFleureBon editor John Reasinger. We have such different methods of expression in our perfume writing; we thought it would be fun to review these in tandem.

We want to serve the hard-core perfumista who follows all the hundreds of new releases every year and tries a large number of them, as well as make a great space for someone trying to find something new after wearing the same perfume for the last ten years.
Arquiste was born out of the experiment to restore a moment long gone or an experience tied to the past to give it a new life. It’s a bit like Frankenstein: reanimating matter through the spark of a scent.
