Ms. Hurwitz really shows off her historical knowledge of the classic perfumes which span the career of YSL and all of the fragrances in the YSL Collection carry a real vintage vibe to them which is so refreshing.
The latest fragrances from Comme des Garcons are a playful trio of scents composed of notes that relate to the colors each scent is named for. The series is called Play, and the scents are Red, Green, and Black. Antoine Maisondieu is the perfumer for all three, and the cheerful heart logo, which also appears on the Play clothing brand, is designed by Filip Pagowski.

Heeley has only previously worked with Eau de Parfum strength compositions and those have a clear strong sense of architecture in their form. With the extraits I was curious if there would be a softening of that spine and a bit more malleability within these new releases. If anything Agarwoud, L’Amandiere, and Bubblegum Chic do show Mr. Heeley can work in a different style.
