The children’s story, Moss Gown, written by William H. Hooks is the inspiration behind Providence Perfume Co.’s newest botanical scent. Perfumer Charna Ethier read it to her daughter and was intrigued by the witchy woman living in the bayou who turned a young girl’s rags into an enchanted gown.
The original So Elixir came out in the autumn of 2009 and was their first perfume (in a long time) that really enchanted me. When I received the press release about So Elixir Purple, I had truly mixed feelings. I loved the original, yet was afraid that the flanker would fall short of the original.
Mme Massenet focused on a particularly unique note you are likely to run into in the Quartier Latin where the students hang out; that of clove in the presence of Kreteks being smoked.
