Great artists and writers have always known this. You must understand the genius in past achievements before you can move forward.
The most recent perfumer to take on muguet is Jerome Epinette in the new fragrance for Byredo called Inflorescence. In a note he said, Inflorescence is “the interpretation of a muguet, greener, fresher and more stylized than the real one.”
On to the perfume. Mr. Leonesio enclosed a letter with my package letting me know that Sweet Tyranny is the first “double-deluxe, ultra-premium” scent from Smell Bent. It is made with orris root and natural Indian sandalwood
Azzaro Paris had, until last year, never released any seasonal flankers for one of their most popular releases ever: 1996’s Chrome. Somehow Chrome Summer Edition 2013 manages to shine and sparkle like summertime but pays all due homage to the original.
If I were Gollum from the Lord of the Rings, I would call this Precioussssss Woods and guard it better than he did the One Ring!! This perfume, from the very first sniff, has already vaulted into my personal top five woody perfumes.
