The best perfume houses are the result of a creative team which works together and more importantly challenges each other. I came to realize how much of a team effort the creation of Arquiste Parfumeur Boutonniere No. 7 was between Creative Director Carlos Huber, perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux, and evaluator Sophie Bensamou.
The collection is composed of a selection of natural fragrances that are mostly variations on rose, with differing effect. Each is a lovely perfume in its own right, and I would recommend giving each one the space to really bloom and make its personality known.

For the last few years there has been another bellwether of the Holiday season, for me, as Dawn Spencer Hurwitz releases her new Holiday fragrance. Ms. Hurwitz has been doing this since 2000 and with the release of Cordial for 2012 she has now composed a dozen seasonal scent variations.
