NEW ! Parfums de Marly Palatine (Hamid Merati-Kashani and Julien Sprecher) 2024 + Unexpected Violet Giveaway

Parfums de Marly Palatine for women

Parfums de Marly Palatine collage by Michelyn

Parfums de Marly Palatine is the new feminine-forward release from the brand. We asked founder and owner Julien Sprecher to introduce Steven’s video.

Princess Palatine was an atypical, offbeat personality. There’s something radically modern about her that reminds me of how today’s liberated young women dare to stand up for themselves just as they are. To celebrate that audacity, I wanted to revisit the violet petal, a note that tends to be perceived as traditional, and make it the heroine of a composition that is, on the contrary, quite contemporary and unexpected”. -Julien Sprecher

Top: Bergamot, Mandarin, Pear; Heart: Lavender, Violet Petals, Floral Bouquet; Base: Vanilla, Musk, Patchouli, Sandalwood

  • That bottle is so beautiful! I love that Steven described it as sparking and inviting. I assume you can’t stop smelling it on yourself when you spray it on! I love that Julien is so animated about celebrating femininity. It’s a beautiful thing for sure. Thanks for the opportunity. From USA.

  • Joshua Richards says:

I love how descriptive he gets with the fragrance. Makes me feel like Im standing in the room with him smelling the fragrance for the first time

  • I think this fragrance will be loved my a multitude of people including my wife. Iris is a beautiful fragrance note and perfumes de Marly was genius to release this fragrance this time of year.

  • Vatrina Taylor says:

I love Parfum De Marly!!!! I have a told of 5 fragrances from this brand!!! I hope and pray I win a bottle!! I enjoy redolessencevideos. He describes fragrances so well!!! Crossing my fingers for a win!!

  • The pairing of violet with pear and sandalwood sounds intriguing. Modernizing a note that traditionally has been as old fashion and old lady-ish for a modern woman will hopefully give this note more love from younger perfume lovers

  • Julien’s mention of the violet leaf, and Steven calling it the “most versatile Marly perfume” has me hype to add this to my wife’s Marly collection!! I love the smell of both Meliora & Delina on her, and can’t wait to get both our noses on Palatine!!

  • Thea Sklenar says:

I have loved every fragrance from Parfum de Marly that I have smelled. This sounds amazing! Thank you Steven for being a part of this giveaway!

  • I have been anticipating this release for some time now and can’t wait to see what PDM does with the violet leaf. If it’s a reflection in the quality of their other releases I’m certain this will be a beautiful fragrance.

  • I really do love the bottle. Can’t wait to smell it. I am excited to see what they have coming down the pipeline.

  • This new PDM perfume Palatine sounds like it’s going to be amazing! I would love to win a bottle and add this to my collection.

  • I just watched Steven’s review, and I have to say it was so refreshing to hear his take on Palatine. I love how he really dives deep into each note and makes you feel like you’re experiencing the fragrance with him. Julien Sprecher’s insight about Princess Palatine being this bold, offbeat figure and tying that into the violet petal was so spot on. It’s amazing how he turned something as classic as violet into something modern and daring. I can’t wait to try it!

As for my favorite feminine Parfums de Marly fragrance? It has to be Delina —it’s just so perfectly balanced between sweet and floral, with that sharp rhubarb note that keeps it from being too typical.

    USA

  • Steven gives Palatine a rave review, even predicting it could be more popular than Delina or Valaya. My personal favorite is Athalia, so I feel like this would also be a love for me. I would love to try Julien’s contemporary unexpected take on the violet petal. I am in the USA.

  • Brandon Rodriguez says:

Beautiful bottle, pear and violet would be a lovely gift for my wife to celebrate all she does for our family. PDM seems to have another excellent release.

  • Thank you for explaining the videos the way you do, it just amazing to learn from you & your knowledge❤️ the way you explain fragrances it so amazing i can almost smell it i’ve learning a lot from you! Thank you for your hard work!

  • Kailen. Sandoval says:

Really want this for my girlfriend she owns oriana and delina og. I love sandalwood so I’m sure this will smell amazing on her. Thx Steven and CaFleureBon

  • Thank you for the detailed review! It’s hard to describe a fragrance that no one else has sniffed yet, but just talking about the two most popular fragrances (Delina and Valaya) and how many people will like this one more is very helpful

  • I love Steven’s channel. He is very thorough without being long winded. Straight to the point with loads of information at the same time. His too 10s are amazing and he influenced me on so many of my PDM, Xerjoff and Initio fragrances. I will always be a subscriber! And can’t wait to get my nose on the new PDM fragrance ❤️

  • Devry DelHoyo says:

Valaya and Oriana are two of my favorite fragrances. I am so excited to sample Palatine! The pear/violet combination sounds so interesting. Also the bottle is stunning!!

  • Ramses Perez says:

Yes, I agree with Julien that absolutely today’s women are liberal, independent and very daring and I’m very glad Marly decide to encapsulate that trait into Palatine. Looking at the bottle’s color you can take an estimated guess as to what the star note is on this one and of course, it’s the violet. I have tried a few of the feminine offerings from Marly and it’s a tie for me between Delina and Oriana, very feminine forward and iconic creations. I like that Steven mentioned the vanilla here only gives it a touch of sweetness and it’s not an overly sweet fragrance, it’s more to support the floral notes and the amazing 10 hour longevity on his skin. Parfums De Marly has done it again with an amazing release and a beautiful color palette. If I had a wish, I’d say the next feminine release should be a light blue bottle with an aquatic release. I’m located in the USA.

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

The review from Steven describing the notes and the color of the bottle alone are reasons to add this to my collection.
The pear and violet have me wondering about this fragrance. It sounds really nice. I would love to win that beautiful bottle . I live in Orlando Florida, USA

  • Sounds like a sophisticated, field of violets. Royal and lush.Have sampled a few from this Haus. And Steven, goes through the notes so beautifully on YouTube today. Best of luck to everyone .

  • jessica.rauch says:

Palatine is gorgeous and a great addition to the PDM house. I love it that Steven said that beautiful purple bottle comes through with the purple flowers in the fragrance. He said no rough edges and calls it the most versatile fragrance from PDM which I love. I love it that Julien said that the violet is made more contemporary in this fragrance and is modeled after Princess Palatine’s offbeat personality. Palatine sounds like a winner. My favorite PDM fragrance so far is Meliora.

  • Love the notes and beautiful bottle. Steven said it can be a year round Fragrance which I like. Julien describes its feminine side. Love the idea it’s named after a princess. Very excited to try this new edition. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Love the beautiful purple shade of this fragrance bottle. And would love to learn more about Princess Palatine, once I click the link you have provided. Steven’s review describing this scent with the bright pear and sparkling bergamot. But what really grabed my attention is the ” beautiful lush, beguiling floral bouquet”! Steven talks about how beautiful this scent is and the notes. I am definitely picking this one up and the longevity is a winner.

  • I really liked how steven paints a picture with his reviews. Good to know its not as a summery fragrance like valaya is. Im a huge violet note fan and the way Julien talked about the violet leaf note has me super excited to try this. My fav feminine Pdm fragrance is oriana!

  • I definitely want to try this one. MARLY has never disappointed and I expect this to be ridiculous.

  • TrippyLofi21 says:

His top 10s are amazing and he has influenced me on so many of my PDM, Xerjoff and Initio fragrances. I will always be a subscriber! And can’t wait to get my nose on the new PDM fragrance. Julien Sprecher is so much appreciated in my household. I love how his 5 favorite scents are from different places around the world and he brings scents from his childhood into our lives. A master in the vanilla note. And orange blossom as well. My favorite women’s fragrance from his house has to be Safanad with Cassili and Delina Exclusif fighting for that spot as well. Love the house and everything about it.

  • Thanks for the video! I enjoyed all of your details about the product and comparing it to other de Marly fragrances.

  • Omg this bottle is so exquisite and beautiful! I’ve never seen a purple fragrance bottle so stunning!! Steven’s YouTube review of Parfums de Marly “Palatine” was excellent! It was fascinating to hear his thoughts on the fragrance’s distinctive note combination and its representation modern femininity. I really liked how he brought attention to the harmony that exists in the composition between the classic violet petal and the more modern components. I completely agree with Julien Sprecher’s assessment of Princess Palatine as a proud figure. Seeing a fragrance that captures the essence of today’s free-spirited ladies is encouraging. Valaya is without a doubt my fave “feminine” scent from Parfums de Marly. It’s really captivating how the flowery and fresh scents blend together! I also adore Oriana and Delina Exclusive since they are very beautiful scents! Thank you so much for this giveaway opportunity! ☺️✨

  • I love all of Steven’s videos! This review of Palatine was particularly interesting and descriptive. I have one really deep pear fragrance, La Belle and with his description I realize this pear is very different. This pear is brighter and more lively. Also, the accompaniment of the floral party in the mid with violet and a beautiful base notes sound musky and amazing. The review makes me so curious to know if this will be as polarizing as Guidance!!! When Steven says it will preferred over Delina AND valaya… big shoes to fill. I cannot wait to test Palatine
The bottle is beautiful, all of the PDM feminine bottles are gorgeous.
Great review. Excited to hear Steven’s top video that includes Palatine so I can get his opinion on how Palatine will stack up against other fragrances.

  • robillard_rn says:

I loved that Steven stayed the fragrance is not too powdery because that is not my profile. However, I do enjoy violet In fragrances. Also, I do love to hear that the fragrance can be worn year round and the longevity is better than most fragrances on the market today.
As for as Julien’s take on why the fragrance was designed, I love that he states women of today dare to take up for themselves. Women have come a long way and we still have a way to go. It is wonderful to have a fragrance that is as bold and daring as women are today. I just think that is amazing. Thank you for the opportunity.

  • Michele Miller says:

I always enjoy Steven’s reviews. I “found” him through the very missed Brooklyn Fragrance Lover. His descriptions are so vivid. I actually get the feel of the fragrance from him. My favorite “feminine” Parfums de Marly fragrance is Delina. Thanks for the chance to win this one. I love the notes and think this is one I’d really enjoy.

  • I’ve always been a fan of Parfums de Marly and so when they released this fragrance that has violet and pear, you know I had to look into it further. Thank you Steven for providing such a detailed review on the notes, I have a strong feeling this may be my signature scent! My favourite Parfums de Marly feminine fragrance would have to be Cassili easy!

Big bonus to provided an early review on this, I’ve cowered thru the internet seeing if anyone reviewed the scent!

  • I so enjoy Steven’s perfume videos on TikTok and YouTube – always informative, always entertaining and his huge smile and enthusiasm just radiates on the screen! I am thoroughly intrigued by this scent and can’t wait to give it a try. Nice wardrobes choices Steven, always the perfect jacket, this time with the purple touches to go with Palatine! Very nice indeed! Yes I like the feminine scents the best, thank you Julien! I have Delina La Rosee which I am besotted with and have high hopes for Palatine!

  • Well my favorite feminime fragrance of all time is definetly Delina, in general
not considering only this brand, but I also like from this brand Athalia, love it! My boyfriend is a lover of niche perfumes especially of the brand parfums de marly, He introduced me to your channel and since that day I regularly follow your advice on perfumes mainly for women and I love it! Thank you so much for entertaining me at lunch or dinner with your interesting videos on perfume 😉

  • Steven said that it is a new DNA in perfumery and from his description, I can’t agree more. It seems that Palatine is leading with a violet note and I can’t recall if I ever smelled one before. Julien mentioned a violet leaf (will it give a green aspect? Idk). It is very exciting to try for sure. I love Valaya and maybe for some it might not be too feminine but to me it is perfect.

  • Benjamin Malek says:

Thank you for the insightful article! Very interesting. Makes me want to display one just to be able to talk about it!

  • A perfect timing for another release from Parfum de Marley! Was looking for a new perfume for my wife and she loves Oriana! Looking forward to win this one from India.
Did I say lovely color on the bottle.

  • Hamid Merati-Kashani is such a master perfumer. As Julien said, I am very looking forward to smelling what “purple” smells like! Cheers

  • Lauren Yamasaki says:

You had me at atypical. In a world of a thousand options it’s becoming harder to find something different. Love Steven’s passion for this fragrance.

  • I love how Julien decided to take an unexpected approach with the violet and use it in a modernized way that would express the “audacity” of today’s strong and willful women. Steven spoke of it’s sparkling character and how they managed to convey the color purple in its scent. Plus, that bottle is absolutely stunning! I would likely gift it to my sister if I won. However, I’m not scared of florals unless its super, ultra-feminine, so it may end up with me. lol. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • Delina was my favorite PdM and my first niche… i tried most of the parfums de marly fragrances… i love how redolessence review fragrances coz its detailed and his breakdown on categories like uniquesness longevity is very informative!!!

  • beachytravels says:

Thanks Steven for your detailed description of Palatine. It sounds like it’s fit for a Princess. I felt like I could smell it from my computer screen. The founder Julien may have just captured me in a bottle as I am daring with an unexpected audacity that many people don’t understand or don’t want to understand. The color of the bottle, and the gentle florals held up with the boldness of patchouli and rounded edge of sandalwood speaks to who I am. I feel seen, for I am the versatile woman. And through this scent, I hope to soon be experienced through smell as well. Thank you Julien and Steven! This is the balance I’ve been missing.

  • My favorite as of today is Valaya. I think soon Palatine will become my favorite I can’t wait to get my nose on this!

  • Very detailed review. Although the bottle leans feminine the scent profile leans very unisex in my opinion. Would love to get my hands on it based on its versatility and as a man that loves floral fragrances its on the must try list for me. Although hard to do without a boutique anywhere near me. (Kansas)

  • Stunning presentation. Pear is such a perfect note for fall weather. My favorite feminine-leaning fragrance from PdM is Meliora and my favorite unisex is Sedley!

  • I’ve been waiting for this perfume to drop ever since I saw that exquisite and regal looking purple bottle, my favorite color. The notes sounds like it will be as amazing as the bottle and obviously, Parfums de Marly can’t do no wrong. I need this to complete my female collection of PdMs. Pick me!!!

  • Arlo “@DjLoNYC” Bodden says:

Princess Palatine sound like a remarkable woman much like my wife who loves Delina and Maloria as her statement frags. She allows me to enjoy my hobby and has joined me in finding our scents together. As a couple of Marly fans this release excites us very much. The idea of something new and so very purple in our collection is intriguing and that vanilla sandalwood base is what makes life go on! Thank you for the review and the story of Princess Palatine, very well done.

  • Firs of all, I love how Steven is coordinated his dresscode to match the PDM PALATINE. I own some PDM perfumes including my first men’s line Althair which I’m excited to wear this fall. Purple is a kind of mysterious color that are “both calming and stimulating for the mind, creating a harmonious balance that promotes imagination and creativity” I can’t wait to try Palatine as Steven described as “year around” well blended gorgeous scent.

  • I’m looking forward to winning due to me not having a lot of money and me starting to collect fragrance

  • This sounds like a fascinating scent. Steven, I appreciate your enthusiasm and that you are not afraid to lavish with your fragrance. Mr. Sprechter, I love your description of the young woman and her strength. While I am not young anymore, I am very much young at heart and appreciate the new and captivating fragrances that you are creating. Thank you.

  • Gladys Catalina Rivera says:

The combination of the flower notes is amazing and intriguing. This amalgamation is surrounded by musk, fruit notes, SANDALWOOD, and Patchouli. We all must experience this scent.

  • Princess Palatine sounds remarkable, just like my wife. We are a family that loves Marly fragrances and are very excited to try this new release. The review was very insightful and peaked our interest even more. This beautiful bottle would look perfect with our Delina and Meliora. Thank you for your work and for putting us on to our new goal I. Our fragrance journey!

  • i love how the descriptions of the perfumes come to life everytime i watch your videos! great review. My favorite PDM fragrance is definitely meliora because it’s just so elegant 🙂

  • Gissela Acosta says:

I love the bottle. Never had a perfume from that brand. Based on the notes the smell must be wonderful.

  • Gina Darling says:

I love that Steven speaks about fragrances like a knowledgeable friend would. I wasn’t even really into fragrances until I started watching his content and now I really want to try Palatine

  • The bottle in that violet color perfectly complements the Parfums de Marly feminine collection. Steve comments that it is clean, versatile and with a sweetness not as predominant as Oriana, which really catches my attention. I think the vision of creating something new, current based on something timeless is great for me. My favorite Parfums de Marly perfumes are Oriana and Valaya.

  • MarneeDragonfly says:

I enjoyed your enthusiasm when reviewing Parfums de Marly’s Palantine!! The notes sound wonderful and Julien Sprecher’s insights are always spot on….I would love to own a bottle.

    Marnee

  • The bottle is gorgeous! I can’t wait to smell Palatine. Looking forward to a year round versatile scent. I live in Texas so it feels like summer 9 months out of the year. I need something that can hold up in the heat. I watch Steven’s reviews because he is very descriptive, honest and never steers us wrong. I’ve bought many decants and a few full bottles based on his expertise. My favorite Parfums de Marly has to be Oriana because I’m a sucker for sweet marshmallow notes. Then it’s a pretty close race between Cassili and Althair depending on the vibe I’m going for.

  • Crystal Polizzi says:

I enjoyed Steven’s description of the opening as a “come hither” fragrance. Right up my alley! I also want to be the heroine of my own story, so I understand where Julien is coming from. My favorite PDM is Herod, which I wear on repeat in the colder months.

  • This is so fantastic I’m really excited to get my nose on this love the mentioned versatility of this throughout the year. This is definitely going to be a Marley heavy hitter I can feel it!

  • Steven has an impecable nose for great notes. There hasn’t been one single recommendation that I haven’t liked. Looking forward to trying this new masterpiece. I hope I can win this bottle!! Fingers crossed.

  • I just turned 65, and I am starting my fragrance journey.
Retired and every night before I go to bed, watch YouTube videos on fragrance. I don’t have any high-end stores near me to smell PDM fragrances, but listening about them and what fragrant scents they are, I know I would love them I would like to get my hands-on delina. Delina, exclusive valaya and oriana Plus, this new one sounds fantastic. I wish I could at least sample these at a store

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

I am excited by Palatine! Julien’s description prompted me to look up Princess Palatine — it’s pretty cool how blunt she was in her descriptions of court life. I enjoyed Steven’s reviews, especially that he pointed out the pear-violet-sandalwood combination is a unique combination and that the scent is great for all weathers. I would love to try this rising star (plus the purple bottle is gorgeous)! I think Valaya is my favorite Parfums de Marly scent at the moment.

    From NJ, USA

  • I am happy that Julien wants to revisit the violet note, it’s one of my favorites. I’ve been impatiently awaiting this fragrance in the gorgeous purple bottle. Hoping there will be a frosted purple bottle in the future. I love Steven’s outfit, so perfect. Steven really knows how to show off a bottle. I love that it’s not a powder bomb. The lavender in the background was a surprise to see. I was surprised to see the release on Sept. 23, I have already seen it available at one shops website. Not a shop near me, so I haven’t been able to test. My favorite is still the original Delina. In the “men’s” line I like the one in the red bottle and the name escapes me. Thanks for the chance!! USA.

  • Lovelynn Gwinn says:

Thank you for reviewing Palantine! I really appreciate your vivid description of this perfume!

  • First, this bottle is absolutely beautiful! I think this might be my favorite bottle in womens range. I really enjoyed the way Steve described Palatine, it sounds it smells how the bottle looks sophisticated, a little classy and bright and a bit playful. She’s just “different”. I’m super intrigued by this one. Can’t wait to try it! My favorite feminine Parfums De Marly Fragrance is Delina La Rosee and Cassili comes in at a close second.

    I’m in NJ, USA

  • Whitney Davis says:

Julien Sprecher is a genius. I have 4 parfums de Marley fragrances and I’m obsessed. The way Steven describes palatine makes me not only want this parfum but crave it. he said it’s long lasting and may be better than Delina I just can’t believe it and now I need it even more. Steven made it really interesting when he said it can be worn all year round, it’s gentle and feminine, and that Hamad Merati- Keshani did a fantastic job creating something novel, artistic, and original. Who wouldn’t want to try this.

  • Hello.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply to this giveaway.
Parfums de Marly Palatine sounds right up my alley as far as my taste in perfume. I own Delina and Valaya. I have been very attracted to Parfums de Marly for their uniqueness and longevity. I appreciate the review since I do not live near a store that carries Parfums de Marley, I can get a good idea if the fragrance would be a good fit for me. Thank you again Steven. I also appreciated Julien Sprecher’s thoughts. It reminded me that giving women a voice can be so beneficial to society, to young children as well.

  • Deborah Duckett says:

I loved how passionate Steven was about the fragrance. That is could be used in all seasons. I am a huge Parfums de Marley fan I have all of the feminine line and would love to add Palatine to my collection. Right now Valaya is my favorite Parfums de Marley fragrance.

  • Per Steven’s video, I always enjoy how thorough he is in detailing the nuances o the fragrance experience. Additionally, Julien’s contribution highlights how perfumery is an art of storytelling and historiography in its own ways, which is beautiful to capture. Moreover, my favorite female release from Marly is Delina Exclusif partly because it was the first feminine Marly release that I purchased and I cherish the scent profile and wearing experience.

  • Steven’s always so thorough in his reviews. I liked that he not only touched upon the fragrance notes, what’s different about this new offering, who the perfumer is and last but not the least the amazing longevity which I’m excited about!

  • I truly enjoyed Steven’s detailed description of Palatine. The way he explained the “clean floral bouquet” took it over the top for me!
The thoughtfulness of Julien Spercher, choosing the name of a women standing up for herself made it more meaningful for me.

  • Dominique Turner says:

I enjoyed from learning that the perfume is named after a princess, so when I wear it I can feel like one to. Also, the bottle is purple which is one of my favorite colors. Redolessnce also mentioned that it lasts long and notes of pear and violet with touches of Iris and this one is for any season. My favorite pdm is Valaya! Looking forward to loving this to!

  • I’m so happy to have stumbled upon Steven’s Youtube. All his review are honest and informative! I admire the way he speaks about a fragrance, very clear and concise! I love when Steve said it’s versatile and can be worn all year round! 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to review the new Parfum de Marly Palatine fragrance !
    Love Roxxanna ❤️

  • Stacy Burkhart says:

I love how in depth the notes were described, and it looks like Steven is thoroughly enjoying the experience. I wish I could read about Julien Sprecher’s insights, but information about this parfum is elusive at the moment where I live (anxiously awaiting the release here tomorrow)! The shade of purple chosen for the bottle is gorgeous! Lavender is one of my favorites, and irises remind me of my childhood. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Delina within the last year. It’s such a beautiful scent, and a departure from my usual choice of fragrance, I’m excited to experience and enjoy this new and exciting fragrance!

  • I am intrigued by it being a very versatile perfume and that it has the inclusion of pear… which is one of my favorite smells. I really enjoy Delina and would love to find another that is so highly regarded.

  • I loved Steven’s description of the scent and how it develops, and how it compares to some other Parfums de Marly fragrances so I can understand where it would fit in my (burgeoning) collection. Julien’s story for the inspiration makes me so happy, as that is how I want to see myself: audacious and doing it my way, but classy! I hope I can wear this fragrance while reading about Princess Palatine, she sounds amazing. Thank you for the chance to win what would be my first full bottle from PDM!

  • Ooh so it’s not even out yet? Not until 9/13! Wellll aren’t we lucky?? Sooo I have been on a violet obsession all year. Finding my perfect violet. And I have found some stunners. But I still feel like there must be more out there that I can adore! So far my favorites are Viole Nere from Meo Fusciuni, Violet Hay by Marissa Zappas, Violette Kew (thank you Cafluerebon for tipping me off to that one) and of course the icons – Violet Fumée by Mona di Orio and Violet Firefly by Teone Reinthal. Oooh and I have to say my – still foil sealed when I got it – very vintage April Violets by Yardley was a total draw dropper! And Dirty Violet by Heretic is a great one too…. Ok I’ll stop because I could go on for hours. I LOVE Violet! That said – I do not own any PdM fragrances! Sooo I can’t say what’s my favorite but here is to winning big by winning my Violet and my first PdM bottle at the same time!! I am in California and fingers crossed!

  • David Santiago says:

I’m not sure that violet is as “traditional” as Julien mentioned… it’s actually what intrigues me the most of this perfume. Per Steven, I’m interested in discovering if it’s an all-year perfume for me. My favorite PDM is Delina Exclusif, with Pegasus Exclusif being a close second. Thank you for this opportunity.

  • Barbara Pagan says:

As usual I enjoy how Steven is able to convey a short but detailed review with passion and excitement for each fragrance. And, Julien’s take on celebratory femininity that is both modern and traditional. I’d have to say my very favorite Marly thus far is Valaya but look forward to sampling Palatine.

  • I used to have a violet color fragrance when I was 15 years old. I still have not found a fragrance that would smell like it was. I really hope Parfums de Marly Palatine would be it. Of course if I win.
    Warm wishes,
    USA resident

  • I subscribed a few weeks ago, but even before that, I noticed that Steven’s YouTube reviews are short, attention grabbing in a good, decent way, and fells like I learned about the perfume more than from other reviewers’ long videos. Descriptions are to the point and exact and entertaining. Julien’s description is saying make violet the heroine of a composition, that is still rare in perfumes. Can’t wait to experience this vision.

  • Definitely love the color the description and the word “versatile.” I’m so excited to smell it and see if the color matches its personality.
I’ve been a Parfum De Marly ever since I smelled Delina. I hope I win and if I don’t I hope maybe I can buy it by Christmas. Best of luck!

  • I think Haltane is going to get a run for its money as a PDM-fave here. Very excited to try it, as pear used to be a top note when I was younger, but as I have gotten older(mid 30s) i sometimes struggle with it feeling too young.

  • As a purple lover, Palatine’s bottle color caught my eye from the get-go, as well as the name. From Marly founder Julian Sprecher’s intro, I’m even more pleased to find out that Princess Palatine was ahead of her time, audacious and a writer, because I am one as well. Steven’s review makes the fragrance sound incredibly appealing — centered around violet but not too powdery, welcoming, and suited to any season and occasion. I feel as if this fragrance was made for me! (My US address is in CT.). Thank you so much for this opportunity!

  • I can’t wait to smell this. Just by the looks of it with the beautiful purple bottle it’s so appealing that it’s a must have. I’m so excited to add this in my collection.

Stevens descriptions are so thorough and he covered all the aspects here. Julien makes this sounds feminine and delightful. I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I really think Julian’s insights into this fragrance and its inspiration are so appealing to me as a woman. I do love Steven’s enthusiasm reviewing Palatine, the versatility he mentions really appeals to me. I simply adore the purple esthetic and it goes so well with it being a violet perfume. If I have to choose a favorite PDM, it might have to be this one, even without experiencing it for myself yet, I’m in love with the presentation and Steven’s enthusiastic review. I’m a Redolessence subscriber, I live in Oregon.

  • Can’t wait to get my nose on Palatine !!!
    The bottle is gorgeous !
The way Steven describes the notes , it almost like you can smell it !
    I have all 3 Delinas , Valaya , Darcy & Cassili.
❤️❤️❤️ Delina Exclusif & Delina La Rosè

  • Steven is so descriptive with notes and is able to tell a story about each perfume. I love Julien’s vision of Princess Palatime. Currently, Valaya is my most favorite PDM fragrance. Really would love to try this new one!

  • The combination of the pretty bottle and Steven’s awesome description has me intrigued. The composition of notes and the mention of good longevity have me sold. Super excited to get my nose on this fragrance for purchase. Pear and iris, tonka bean sounds masterful!!

  • Christian Toy says:

I am super excited for this fragrance. I love wearing Delina Exclusif and I know this one will be amazing as well.

  • Sparkling, effervescent, smooth floral, long lasting , with a modern feel & a nod to classic femininity. The presentations is elegant & royal in its violet jewel tones! This will give Delina competition in popularity for Parfums de Marly!

  • I would love to add to my MARLY collection Palatine I really love all the MARLY perfumes especially Valaya is my favorite i wish o can be the winner

  • Priscilla Wright says:

I really enjoyed Steven’s review and description of the fragrance….he made me want to pay full price for it.

  • The esthetic of the bottle is beautiful! I don’t have a violet perfume in my collection so I’m excited to experience this scent. The way Steve described this is wonderful. I have 6 PDM perfumes, I’m hoping this one would be another winner.

  • As a perfume lover I am first and foremost happy I found Stevens Channel! I loved his outfit and I appreciated how detailed his descriptions were about the new scent. The way Julien described the new scent and vibes makes me want to purchase asap! Liberated and young? sign me up! My favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance is the iconic Delina exclusive 🙂

  • Jessica Brassfield says:

My favorite feminine PDM fragrance so far is Delina la Rosée! I appreciated Steven’s detailed description of the fragrance and I like the idea of a juicy versatile, violet fragrance with only a polite amount of sweetness.

  • Loved the review and his color coordination. I particularly appreciated the comparison to the existing fragrances from this house in terms of versatility and lasting power.

I really like Oriana thus far.

  • Vincent Vazquez says:

I really enjoyed the way Steven broke down how it opens and how it settles down. I often enjoy how he describes the sent profile as it seems very genuine. Can’t wait to get my nose on this fragrance.

  • Vincent Vazquez says:

Steven did an amazing job describing the fragrance, all the note breakdowns, always a pleasure. My favorite PDM feminine fragrance would have to be Delina Exclusif with the way the rose and sweetness is done. I own several PDM fragrances and would love to have this one in the collection so my wife can wear and I enjoy the smell. Fingers crossed.

  • I’ve been looking forward to learning more about this fragrance. Delina Exclusif is currently my favorite PDM fragrance, but hearing Steven describe Palatine as a more universal, year-round fragrance has piqued my interest even more. Violet is such a classic note in fragrance and cosmetics, I love that Julien Sprecher has given us a fragrance that showcases violet with a more modern edge. A fragrance celebrating modern femininity couldn’t have come at a better time. I cannot wait to get my nose on this beauty. Parfums de Marly never disappoints.

  • I am a perfume lover and this sounds so beautiful. Steve description makes me want to sample it immediately. I love anything that makes me feel beautiful and feminine. I will be so thankful to win this! Thanks Steve and Julien!! USA

  • Whitney Davis says:

    Clarification for my original entry!
Sure I misheard Steven. He didn’t say he likes this better than Delina he said we (woman) may prefer this over Delina and Valaya. Either way I’m excited to try. I love Delina and hopefully will love this as well

  • Theresa Alveira says:

I can’t wait to get my nose on this fragrance. I have every PDM women’s fragrance and this is a MUST!

  • I always love Steven’s breakdown of fragrances, his reviews are phenomenal. My favorite PDM fragrance for ladies is between 2 options, Delina Exclusif and Valaya. Both are amazing and my decision would differ depending on what mood I’m in that day. I’m looking forward to checking out Palatine, it sounds beautiful!

  • This comes out on my birthday. I am so excited for this. I love hearing your descriptions to give us a look into what this will be like!

  • Stephen loves Palatine’s versatility – from meet the teachers to meet the divorce lawyer, this sounds like a delicious easy grab. I am eager to see how Julien Sprecher modernized the violet, such a traditional, time-honored note. The packaging is to die for; translucent violet – beautiful to display. I love Meliora from Parfums de Marly, very much like Delina and her sisters. I live in NY.

  • So refreshing to see a floral fragrance steering away from the rose-patchouli profile. Very interesting that this is a fall release. Can’t wait to smell what makes this a non spring-summer flower and rather a transitional all year around purple floral

  • Janet Pacheco-Morton says:

Can’t wait to try Palatine! The bottle color is so beautiful! Steven always does a fantastic job with his fragrance reviews and descriptions. thank you Steve!

  • Love the Violet note on perfumes, my wife will be so happy if I got home with this new PDM perfume, thanks for the opportunity!
And thanks Steve from Redolessence for bring me here!

  • rchaconblahut says:

First, I want to thank Steven for yet another amazing YouTube review. As a younger fragrance lover, I have leaned back into Steven, believing he is one of the most authentic and genuine reviewers. Parfums de Marly is the fragrance house I fell in love with. As my first niche purchase was Delina, it was an amazing welcome to the fragrance community especially with a scent that did not disappoint. I appreciate this article as it highlights “atypical”, “offbeat personality”, and “audacity”. This is exactly how I feel as a unique growing woman in this world and am extremely excited to see a fragrance that embodies that journey. Thank you Steven and thank you CaFleureBon for this amazing opportunity. Happy to be here in the community.

  • I always enjoy Steven’s outfit and note description. Julien’s description of contemporary and unexpected has me intrigued! Athalia is my favorite from the feminine collection.

  • I love the bottle the notes the entire vibe. I love violets, dama Bianca is my current favorite frag with violet in it but this sounds like it could be coming for the throne!

  • This is such a refined bottle, and I’m excited to experience this perfume along with my wife.

Steven was so descriptive, and I am most looking forward to the floral bouquet of the heart. Julie’s comments on the violet have boosted my excitement!

  • I’m so excited about Palatine , i’d like to thank Michelyn for the fast arrangement of the giveaway, and speaking with Parfums de Marly founder and owner.
Modern take on violet , according to Julien Sprecher and Steven an addictive delicate and cozy floral fragrance anyone could wear , and enjoy all year long. It’s also refined , centered not sorely around violet , there’s pear, lavender and a bit of vanilla, perfect for day time family gatherings , going out with friends , or weddings.
All Parfums de Marly non-transparent, and transparent bottles look super classy , including Palatine i like the violet colorway , and the contrast with the silver cap.Call me perfectionist, but bottle design, looks and the way it feels, are all important to me.
In my opinion everyone should wear what they want and like , and not be bothered by what is written on the label. Delina Exclusif is my favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance, some would say it’s “feminine” , I’d say anyone could wear it.
    Winning Palatine would be awesome
    Thanks for the draw
    USA

  • I love and been subscribed for a while to Steven’s videos! This review of Palatine was particularly interesting and descriptive. The review makes me so curious to know if this will be as polarizing as Guidance!!! When Steven says it will preferred over Delina & valaya that’s impressive!
Would love to have my mom try this

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Such a beautiful presentation. Well done by PDM. Purple is so elegant. The notes sound wonderful…and great performance! Count me in for this one 🙂
    USA

  • I was wondering and hoping that PDM would release a purple bottle and matching scent. I literally cannot wait to smell this for myself. Steven- I thank you for your review and as I am an Exclusif girlie…it already seems like I will have a new favorite!

  • Renata Chmiel says:

I enjoyed how informative the video and article was. Great information about longevity and scent. I feel like I already know how it smells based off the video! My current favorite from PDM is Cassili!

  • Germaine Delgado says:

Love that you made it known that it’s the most versatile PDM fragrance yet. I also loved the video on you listing the 5 most versatile fragrances from the house

  • Germaine Delgado says:

My favorite PDM perfume is Safanad…we’ll see if she gets dethroned by this new baby! PDM is my favorite house & Purple is my absolute favorite color so I need this baby

  • A new parfum with a blend of Bergamot, Mandarin, and Pear at the top, complemented by a heart of Lavender? Love it. The base notes of Vanilla, Musk, Patchouli, and Sandalwood promise a beautifully finish, interesting. I absolutely adore the purple hue of the bottle design, it’s so elegant and captivating. As a fan of the exclusive and refined nature of Parfums de Marly, I’m excited to try this one. My favorite from the house is, of course, Delina; I’m drawn to sweet and floral fragrances, so this new perfume sounds like it could become another favorite. I always check Redolessence’s video reviews about perfumes before buying a new bottle. I live in the USA.

  • I am beyond excited for this fragrance!! I have been continually checking for updates when I caught wind of an upcoming new feminine forward release from PDM, and in this GORGEOUS bottle with these stunning notes, no less. So it absolutely made my day when I saw that Redolessence posted his review! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and always being so descriptive and thoughtful with your reviews. I feel like I can always rely on your opinions and gain so much insight from your channel. Parfums de Marly is my all time favorite house and I would feel so blessed to be gifted a bottle of this and make it my new signature scent. Thank you for all that you do!

  • I loved this review! Excellent and detailed description of this perfume and also the other perfumes in the house. I’m excited that Steven thinks this fragrance is the most versatile and appropriate year round- exactly what I was looking for! Can’t wait to get my nose on it!

  • I loved your review! As always it was thoughtful and informative. I enjoy your knowledge and the time you take. My favorite PDM is Delina for sure!

  • sogrady0609@gmail.com says:

The way Steven described this as an all year rounder and versatile scent has me intrigued! I absolutely adore Valaya and Delina! I wonder if I would like this one better than both of those. This new release is exciting for sure! Thank you for the opportunity to enter this giveaway!

  • Melanie Grijalva says:

First off the bottle is GORGEOUS !
I am a huge PDM fan ! 99% of their fragrances I am in love with ! I love how he described how versatile this fragrance is! And the fact that sandalwood is one of the notes ??!!?!? I NEED THIS IN MY COLLECTION RIGHT NOW !

  • KellyHinrichs says:

You had me at versatile and sparkling. This new perfume sounds beautiful and the bottle is stunning!

  • Julien Sprecher’s description of Palatine being incredibly modern and meant for today’s liberated women! 1000% yes! Celebrate audacity and be who you are! So excited to try this when it’s released!

  • Vanessa Wichmann says:

I like how it’s described as fresh-cooling and not necessarily mandarin- sounds beautiful sparkling pear w violet, and the base notes are my fav usually – I haven’t tried a PDM yet; I was going to set out for some samples soon

  • Marlin Valladares says:

Thank you Mr. Redol for this review. The way you described it, It makes me want the fragrance. Love your knowledge and effort in fragrance descriptions.

  • I always love your descriptions, so thoughtful! My favorite “feminine” Parfums de Marly fragrance is the lovely Delina!!

  • Exciting to see a new Parfums de Marly. It’s interesting that Steven is so effusive in his praise for Palatine especially over Delina. This sounds like a different take on a pear fragrance. Glad to hear it’s not powdery. MD, USA.

  • Shanna Turner says:

I enjoyed the description of the fragrance from the opening, start, dry down and longevity. Julien’s insight on the boldness of the fragrance and violet petal was delightful and intriguing. I am really excited about this one! So far, my favorite fragrance is Oriana. It makes me feel girly, happy, and sexy.. I receive so many compliments when I wear it as well!

  • Parfums de Marly with another banger. Beautiful bottle. Loved Steven’s YouTube review and Julien Sprecher’s insight on this new perfume! Can’t wait to get my nose on it.

  • I love the fact that Julien stated that this is for a “liberated woman”. This made me want it more. I am glad that Steve broke down the notes and compared it to the other PDM perfumes.

  • I am new to niche perfumes, I only have Delina la Rosee and Valaya. I am glad that it’s described as versatile, all year long and I love when artists take a traditional flower and make it more interesting, modern and contemporary, I think I’ll love this one.

  • Delina Exclusif is my current favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance, but based on Stephen’s review, I do not believe it will be for much longer, as another PDM fragrance is set to take her place. I cannot wait to experience the beautiful and unique floral creation Palatine. Developed to celebrate the audacity of today’s liberated woman, Stephen describes it as quite the versatile olfactory gift, perfect for year-round wear with incredible longevity. This exquisite purple bottle deserves to be center stage among my collection.

  • Daria Derevianko says:

I enjoy his videos a lot! Very detailed description, takes you on a journey. I can’t wait to smell this one, it seems like it is going to have a unique personality! Something new and maybe modern

  • melaniemattoon says:

I loved his description of the pear and violet in this fragrance as they are two of my favorite notes.

  • My favourite feminine PDM scent to date is a tie between Cassili which always uplifts my mood and so versatile but also love delina for its sophistication and Safanad in the winter for its warmth. I do enjoy Valaya too but not as compliment getting on my skin. I can’t wait to add Palatine’s stunning bottle to my collection – it’s my favourite colour as amethyst is my birth stone.

I enjoyed the comparison to the existing scents (Delina, Valaya, Oriana) in terms of seasons, performance and overall scent profile. I enjoy any scent that is described as sparking so I’m sure I’ll adore this too.

  • I enjoyed the excitement about this fragrance smelling unique and different from any other fragrances out now. That’s refreshing to hear being a collector. I’m excited now and can’t wait to smell it! My favorite “feminine” Parfums de Marly fragrance is Valaya yet to hear I might enjoy Palatine over Valaya, excites me even more.

  • LuRon Anderson says:

As a Marly fanboy I couldn’t help but be excited for this article. I loved Steven’s review and specifically his mention of Parfums de Marly “perfectly capturing the purple synesthetic olfactory landscape.”
I am excited to get my hands on this perfume and sample it. I love violet and appreciate Julien’s interpretation of Princess Palatine juxtaposed with todays young women daring to stand up and be who they are just as I feel the scent of violet, though delicate, boldly stands unashamed for the beautiful scent that it is. Love this article!

  • From the way that Julien Sprecher and Steven both describe Palatine, it seems like this could be the scent I’ve been looking for .

The contemporary take on violet sounds very interesting.
Violet is one of the notes I am enjoying lately although – as we know – not all violet petals are the same ☺️.

    Then, juicy, sparkling pear
with bergamot on silky sandalwood with some vanilla sounds like someone’s been playing with my mind.

Listening to Steven made me think that this could be an all-year-round olfactory love affair for me.

Adding Palatine to my Parfums De Marly collection of Safanad, Valaya, and Delina Exclusif this fall would be a dream come true.

  • I wonder if it is a bit of like V Valentino Ete, just by the colour of the bottle,I have the associations, but the former is long discontinued. Perhaps it will become as popular as Insolence. I like that the review mentions the lavender lets violets shine. Must be a victorian inspired gem, this one. I live in the EU.

  • I‘m beyond excited to try Palatine! Delina exclusiv was my signature scent for a long time, this feels like her grown up sister

  • I am so excited to try Palatine. I am a violet iris lover and this sounds amazing. Steven always describes fragrances so well.

  • Amazing i love the house of PDM my first niche house and still my favorite house i would love a chance to win a bottle for my wife birthday coming soon the notes sounds amazing
    Thank you

  • I really enjoyed Steven’s description is this new PDM classic. I cannot wait to get my nose on this fragrance. Julien’s historic depiction of Princess Palatine complimented Steven’s description of the scent, and makes me want to experience this fragrance even more.

  • Parfums De Marley is one of my favorite perfume houses. I have had the pleasure of owning 6 of their fragrances and all are very unique to me, all sophisticated in their own way. I even have some back up bottles of my girls. Palatine sounds like she will be no exception to rule of PDM’s sophistication and class and whispers about her have peeked my interest. I was delighted to see Steven do a review about her, he did a great job giving us an idea of her quality and longevity. It would be awesome to win a bottle.

  • For around 14 years Parfums de Marly became one of the most cherished and well respected niche brands not just in US but all over the world. I like how Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief and Redolessence have chosen to present Palatine to us Cafleurebon subscribers, with introduction of Julien Sprecher Parfums de Marly founder and owner.
The reason so many people are entering the giveaway is the same reason I believe Palatine will become really popular , it just works for different scenarios, seasons and weather conditions , true Swiss knife fragrance made by a well respected brand and perfumer like Hamid Merati-Kashani. Absolutely lively and upbeat with the signature contemporary violet, lavender and a bit of vanilla and sandalwood.
I know well Herod, Layton and Layton Exclusif, the only “feminine” Parfums de Marly i know is Delina Exclusif, fragrance i’d gladly wear myself
Thanks for the draw, from the USA

  • I can already smell this one with your review!! Soo excited for this new release of PDM! I love all the notes listed! Can’t wait to try this one!

  • Personally I wear what I like , terms like feminine or masculine I don’t pay attention to. Oriana and Valaya I really like.
I was expecting Palatine review on Cafleurebon ever since I saw the fragrance announced on the brand Instagram account. The bottlle is beautiful , after all purple is more often associated with royalty , mystery , wisdom , spirituality and wealth.
Palatine is all ages, all seasons , all situations versatile fragrance that’s in just a few years most likely would be considered a classic like Delina. Floral and fruity duality , with up to date according to Julien Sprecher and Steven addictive violet , can’t wait.
When I think Parfums de Marly I always think Pegasus first
Thank you Michelyn, Steven, Julien Sprecher , Fine Fragrances Distribution

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Steven started out describing the jasmine, violet, and iris and I was hooked. The way he describes this fragrance as sparkling and cooling sounds delightful. I love his description of the polite amount of sweetness 🙂 I had never heard of Madame Palentine and the initial description of her as modern with an offbeat personality made me want to learn more. I read a bit about her life and what an interesting character she was. I’d love to read a book about her. Thanks so much for introducing me to her. Thank you for the draw, from the US.

  • Cindy Francis says:

I love how Steven describes the scents of fragrances, he is very thorough and accurate. He has lead me to many successful blind buys lol. I enjoy the notes of Palatine and think it will be an incredible scent. My favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance Delina Exclusif.

  • oliviatworkowsky says:

The bottle is GORGEOUS!!! I loved learning about the perfumer behind the fragrance and the fact that he has such a great nose for perfumes that smell so good!!! The presentation… STUNNING!, the notes…STUNNING. The pear sounds so wonderful and the violet I always love how it adds such a feminity. Violet when done well is amazing and I would LOVEEE to get the opportunity to get this.

So amazing that your giving the opportunity to those who need it!

I would love to win it:)

  • Jhobesa Cespedes says:

Thank you for your review and the details shared! I’m so excited to add this one to my collection! Many blessings to you.

  • Nice review from Steven. I’m intrigued by the synesthesia aspect of the review, highlighting the lavender and violet notes. Excited to smell this, especially with the composition being centered around violet and their attempt to make it smell contemporary. I appreciate the versatility of this fragrance, from the bright top note to the warm base.
    Cheers from CA, USA.

  • I am intrigued because Valaya is my all time favorite and you saying some people may love this more than Valaya has me very excited and eager to try Palatine!

  • cari.lawton@yahoo.com says:

I love the excellent description of how the fragrance unfolds. I’m looking forward to trying it!

  • There’s quite a lot of buzz about Palatine on social media , Steven and Michelyn made me want to try it even more.
Julien Sprecher introduction was helpful to me because a lot of violet forward fragrances do smell a bit more traditional to my taste, Palatine is a different take on violet contemporary and captivating.
The cozy and versatile aspects of Palatine and Steven’s review I enjoyed the most, together with the floral heart and well dosed vanilla and sandalwood.
Being a vain man compliments are really important to me , Palatine for sure will get me unsolicited compliments while smelling amazing.
Overall Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly, from the so called feminine offerings I’d say Oriana.
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Tonya Patterson says:

I’m excited about this newly released fragrance. I already own several from Parfums de Marly and can’t wait to get my nose on this one. That bottle is exquisite.

  • Im so excited for Palatine, I can’t wait to try it! It has everything I love – violet, musk, and pear. It sounds sophisticated, but wearable. The bottle is a masterpiece as well.

  • Great description of the perfume. Not at all too wordy and hit every point to want you to try thus beautiful perfume. Thanks so much!

  • Christina Copeland says:

Steven’s video was amazing. I was already excited about this drop but listening to him describe it made me even more excited. The details of notes, presentation and versatility was so helpful. I LOVE valaya and can’t wait to get my nose on this one since it sounds perfect for any occasion. Parfums De Marly did an amazing job with the presentation alone which has me ready to blind buy this fragrance.

  • Thanks for the nice video Steven . Juliet’s writeup was a fun read and I really liked the idea of revisiting the violet petal, in the traditional sense.

The bottle/presentation is quite pretty and unique. IT goes so well with the use of violets and pear in the top and the floral mid.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Nina Ensminger says:

I loved Steven’s description of this fragrance as something versatile and perfect for all seasons and occasions as well as the note pictures. I also love the picture of the bottle with rainbows radiating out, it looks like an amethyst crystal which is one of my favorites. Very feminine, soothing and magical. And not to mention the story of Princess Palatine which is very inspiring. The story speaks to me as a woman who is still on a journey to find my voice and use it. Simply beautiful!

  • Alejandra Gonzalez says:

I love parfums de Marly, Delina la Rosee and Valaya and for the notes I know I am going to like this one. Hope to win

  • Enjoyed your video a lot! Informative on all levels and the bottle is stunning. I like Valaya, and in me it’s definitely a cool weather scent. In summer it doesn’t open up on me as beautifully. Since you mentioned some similarities, and that Palatine smells like year-round lovely scent, I hope to test it out soon. Keep up the good work, Steven.

  • Alicia Robles says:

I have fallen in love with pdm feminine fragrance oriana thanks to Steven due to how he discribes the fragrance notes and when it can be used. Now with this review on palatine he has discribes very well the notes this fragrance has.

  • This beautiful lavender color bottle of perfume has a really unique blend of ingredients and promising to be a phenomenal scent. Cannot wait to spray it for the first time!

  • Lynnette Walker says:

I thoroughly enjoyed the YouTube video because it’s always good to get a gentleman’s perspective on a fragrance. He definitely sold me on the fragrance. Sounds like this will definitely be a very popular crowd pleaser. The bottle alone is gorgeous! This definitely sounds like something both my spousesnd I can wear together. I would love to win a bottle. I never win anything no matter how hard I try. If not I will definitely save up for her!!! My favorite all time favorite from the line and signature scent is Delina La Rosee! I adore that fragrance so much! Great review and best of luck to everyone!

  • Reading Julien Sprecher’s introduction, I dig the idea of making a violet petal fragrance feel contemporary, especially if it’s also a little eccentric. That purple bottle certainly sets it apart on the shelf. Steven pointed out that the violet is in the heart, but Palatine is “no solifore”, while the lavender allows that note to shine. The “juicy and vivacious” pear and sparkling citrus also sound like fun. I haven’t tried any Parfums de Marly fragrances, but Palatine sounds like an excellent “feminine” fantasy floral.

    I’m in the USA.

  • I enjoyed Steven’s straight forward descriptions for each note and on how they work together to create a distinct character. I usually gravitate towards fresh and feminine perfumes, so I’m excited to get my nose on Palatine! My favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance is Delina. Regarding Julien Sprecher’s introduction, I like the thought behind Palatine. It’s interesting to think about traditional trends or fragrance notes becoming more appreciated once given a new perspective.

  • Very interesting back story ! Great video as always .. would love to try this ..so far Delina Exclusif is my favorite PDM scent !

  • I love how Steven compared the house’s bottles as well as the quality of the house perfumes on his channel. He was also very descriptive when describing the scent itself.

I love how descriptive Julien was in explaining the uniqueness of this fragrance.

Purple is my favorite color and the frangance sounds so beautiful and captivating.

Thank you both for this opportunity.

  • Amazing That bottle is so beautiful and Stunning! I love that Steven described as you describe it sounds incredible and the notes are an invitation to try it. Thanks for the opportunity. From USA. We really enjoy the videos and we always hope to be able to participate, it’s exciting ♥️♥️♥️

  • This bottle is to die for and purple is my absolute favorite color. I like how Steven described the integrity of the house as well as the quality of the houses fragrances. I like how Julien gave a history on how this fragrance received his name.

  • Mysti Rothschilde says:

Wow a new Parfums de Marly! Their parfums are my favorite! The Lavender & Violet with Bergamot and sparkling Pear sounds divine.
Delina’s and Oriana are my favorites.

Hamid Kashani has a masterpiece with the wonderfully unique Oriana and it looks like another with Palatine I love it is so long lasting. As well Julien’ inspiration in making the violet petal the heroine of this new creation causing Palatine to be “contemporary and unexpected.”

  • I appreciate you posting the video so soon after the perfume launch! The violet/powder combination sounds perfect for those who are trying to be demure. I wouldn’t expect such a profile to have longevity but I am pleasantly surprised to hear that it is. Can’t wait to get my hands on this! I hope to see you at the NYC boutique event!

  • Latisha Drummond says:

Perfums de Marley is one of my favorite perfume houses I own all of the feminine fragrances. And now I have started exploring the men’s line. can’t wait to add this one to my collection.

  • I can’t wait to try this fragrance. I love the note of violet and Steven’s video really convinced me that this versatile fragrance belongs in my collection! I can’t wait to smell how violet is interpreted in a more modern and contemporary way with PDM. I have all three Delinas as well as Cassili, Meliora, Oriana, and Valaya! Looks like PDM might be my favorite house!

  • Maria Guitron says:

I won’t make this long. Sean has a unique way of expressing and explaining what a fragrance is. He literally can make you feel as if you can smell the perfume through the video. Indeed one of the best in the industry. Hard to say one only but my heart belongs to Delina and Delina La Rose

  • Perfumery weaves forgotten moments in our senses, core memories that are etched in our souls. Floral notes from PDM are like soft secrets that ring nostalgic blooms from my grandmas garden. I can see the patches of violets on the side of her home, smell and imagine my daughter playing in them as the layers of this new fragrance are unraveling on the tongue. Perfume is an art, but it is also transformational as it can evoke emotion, memory, and senses long forgotten. Thank you for so delicately describing the beauty behind this masterpiece, word weaving is so important when describing a fragrance you have yet to experience!

  • From within and outside of this beauty lies something special. Lately I’ve been loving the note of violet and the color of this presentation makes it that much more sought after. PDM doesn’t slouch in quality nor creativity so I have high expectations for this. That sandalwood base must be amazing and I know they knocked it outta the park. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • This fragrance is presented in a lovely purple bottle. The juice in this bottle looks like it’s giving fabulous, succulent, mouth watering flavor. Whomever is smelling this will want to taste you like a snack.

  • Dortea O. Frederiksen-Krogh says:

Would be a Nice gift for My 40’th birthday love the color of the bottle, so stunning!

  • This fragrance is presented in a lovely purple bottle. The juice in this bottle looks like it’s giving fabulous, succulent, mouth watering flavor. Whomever is smelling this will want to taste you like a snack. Palatine maybe one of the most versatile fragrances to wear to date due to the flexibility of when you can wear it during the year. My favorite PDM fragrance….Hard to narrow it down, but it’s still Delina Exclusif. It still makes me feel like I’m the most attractive and secure women in the room!

  • Big PDM fan here and Palatine sounds stunning. My interest was piqued when Steve stated that some who love Delina would prefer Palatine since I’m one of those that love Delina :). Thank you for a detailed review, the kind giveaway and I also appreciated Julien Sprecher’s celebration of strong ladies. I’m in USA

Steven description of this fragance its amazing! that bottle looks so stunning and the notes sound so captivating.

    Good luck everyone !

  • This looks like such a beautiful fragrance to have. Between the notes and the bottle design, I’m definitely going to have to sample this if I don’t win the giveaway.

  • This bottle is so beautiful! I love that Steven described it as welcoming and hithering scent. I wouldn’t be able to stop smelling it if I spray this on! I love that Julien is so forward about celebrating femininity and empowerment. It’s a beautiful thing for sure. My favourite feminine scent is YSL’s Libre. Thanks for the opportunity.

Hello. I am trying to build my Parfum de Marly Collection and this would be a nice addition to the 3 that I already have. Well, to whomever wins this, enjoy it, wncen though I would love to win it myself. Thank you for thus giveaway!

  • Anita De Lucio says:

I enjoyed that Steven matched his outfit to the bottle. I always appreciate his honest reviews. I appreciate that Julien provided the context and inspiration (Princess Palatine).

  • Parfums de Marly became a top notch brand in a rather such period of time , one of the best out there, to my taste of course. I very much agree with Julien Sprecher most violet fragrances do smell way too traditional, if not dated and I’m pleased to know Hamid Merati-Kashani cooked quite an unexpected and contemporary violet fragrance like Palatine.
Steven’s take on the fragrance made me think of making and later on eating Lilac and Violet Panna Cotta Tarts while on a Parisian romantic trip with my girlfriend. Palatine is such a comfortable fragrance.
It’s a toss up for me between Herod and Oajan for my favorite Parfums de Marly, Delina Exclusif and Oriana I like the most from the “feminine” offerings.
Appreciate Julien Sprecher introduction, Steven’s review and the giveaway campaign

  • I am interested in this perfume as I wear a lot of fruit scents. My other favorite scents are vanillas and you mentions it gas a dry down scent of vanilla.

I am so excited to try this gorgeous PdM perfume. Thank you for your wonderful and informative review. What I love is how perfumes evolve on my skin over time. Today I am wearing Guidance 46 and enjoying the stunning creamy blend. I wear Delina, Cassili and Valaya very often. I suspect this new violet “clean musk” as you say, would become a daily go-to for me, and even a bedtime sweet cloud fragrance. Pear-violet-lavender really sounds beautiful, year round. Thanks so much for your review.

  • The bottle is gorgeous and reminds me of gemstones I used to collect as a kid. I love the note of pear and think it works well in the fall when I am picking apples and pears here in the midwest. I’m interested to get my nose on this as PDM does creamy, lactonic notes really well!

  • I absolutely love the thorough description of the fragrance by Steven of billowy florals as well as silky Sandalwoods that create within the fragrance a unique DNA yet maintains the classic Marly esthetic. Juliens introduction of the fragrance was a synopsis of Stevens review of what we are in for with Palatine. A traditional floral note as the star reimagined to reflect contemporary women in a traditional but unique and liberated way. I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on this stunner and although Delina Exlusif is my all time favorite of the brand Althair has easily rose to 2nd place.

  • This looks like a wonderful bottle, i have more than a few PDM bottles and I look forward to trying this.

  • Love the bottle on this perfume and I cannot wait to smell it! I know it will be an amazing addition to my growing Parfums de Marly collection. <3

  • I grew up in a big family of fragrance lovers, and collectors , we all love Parfums de Marly, my favorites are Oriana, Delina and Delina Exclusif, my mom is into Valaya and my dad is a massive fan of Byerley.
I like there’s nothing overbearing in Palatine , but the blend is really smooth , versatile and relaxing, future classic I would like to explore. Other than the fruity floral structure I like the sandalwood, the beautiful bottle and the contemporary violet Julien Sprecher told us about in the intro.
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • I wear fragrances for my own pleasure, what’s masculine and feminine I don’t pay attention to one bit.
Fragrance community was expecting Palatine to be special, and I believe Hamid Merati-Kashani and Julien Sprecher delivered. No 80s violet, every aspect of the fragrance is up to date, tranquil and versatile confirmed by Steven and Julien Sprecher himself.
The lavender, pinch of vanilla and creamy sandalwood i look for , as usual for all Parfums de Marly the bottle is awesome.
As a whole my favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance is Habdan, Oriana Is my favorite “feminine” offering.
    All profiles I already follow , @waltherp99bg
    Thank a lot

I loved Steven’s YouTube review and Julien Sprecher’s insights on Parfums De Marly Palatine that was named after Princess Palatine. Founder and Owner of Parfums De Marly Julien Sprecher introduction to this Violet centered fragrance sounds like another beautiful release from PDM. Steven describes this modern take on Violet with a sweet touch of fruity Pear and resinous Vanilla as well as beautiful floral undertones. My favorite feminine fragrance from Parfums De Marly is the original Delina. I am from the USA.

  • What a beautiful bottle! The note that struck me was violet – that always adds such a beautiful powdery note to any perfume. The drydown must be gorgeous with sandalwood smoothing out the finish. I am a big fan of PdM. But everything I own of theirs is more cold weather type fragrances. This one sounds delicate and more of a year round scent. I would love to have it be part of my collection!
    I live in the USA.

Perfumery weaves forgotten moments in our senses, core memories that are etched in our souls. Thank you for so delicately describing the beauty behind this masterpiece, word weaving is so important when describing a fragrance you have yet to experience

  • Steven has several PDMs and so if he says it is versatile it should be. The best part of the written review is the images. Best female PDM is Delina.

  • Shelley Newstead says:

    PDM Never fails Never disappoints,
Unique regardless of what some say, always compliments when wearing any of the PDM Parfumes. This one sounds intriguing, hmm sandlewood.
There is one for every mood and occasion, I cannot say enough about the gorgeous unique bottles, luxury on the dressing table enveloping the magic juices.
I would love to win a bottle of this
New Parfume it would help to cut the red tape and finances as when ordering, as I am in Canada.

  • Love the enthusiasm of the commentator. We can see that he speaks of his heart. He has a true passion!
About the new parfume, it will suit me perfectly, it is beautiful, sweet, charming.. whithout being all over the place. For, it is really demure and it makes an impression whithout being too much. What a beautiful bottle!

  • This perfume is like a beautifully mismatched puzzle that somehow fits perfectly. It kicks off with a zesty burst of bergamot and mandarin, teasing your senses before a sweet, unexpected hit of pear swoops in. It’s quirky, but in the best way—like a smile you didn’t see coming.

The heart of the scent? It’s where things get interesting. Lavender and violet petals dance in a floral bouquet, but don’t be fooled by their softness. There’s a playfulness here, something that says “I’m a bit wild, but in a quiet, charming way.” The floral notes never overpower—they just glide with subtle confidence.

As it dries down, the real magic happens. Vanilla and musk wrap you in warmth, but just when you think you’ve got it figured out, patchouli and sandalwood come in, adding depth and mystery. It’s comforting yet daring, delicate yet grounded—a fragrance for those who don’t like to color inside the lines.

If you’re someone who embraces the unexpected, who finds beauty in the strange and delightful, this perfume will feel like an extension of your soul. It’s not for everyone, and that’s exactly why it’s perfect for you.
