New Niche Fragrance: Maison Francis Kurkdjian Acqua Vitae

mfk aqua vitae1

It was one afternoon on Formentera, in the Balearic Islands, that the idea of Aqua Vitae came to Francis Kurkdjian. Riding an old motorbike, taking it slowly in view of the extreme heat, the air on his face was deliciously cool. The sun intensified the fragrances of the nature around him.

Aqua Vitae was inspired by life, that irresistible attraction shared by billions. A magic breath, a fragrance between oneself and another person, between you and me, a space between us. Like the shiver of pleasure on the back of the neck just before something wonderful occurs. A perfume-based Yin and Yang, at once fever and fulfillment, with masculine in the feminine and feminine in the masculine.

Aqua Vitae is fresh despite the heat of its spicy top note, its waves of tonka bean, its vanilla caresses where the Calabrese lemon dances and the Sicilian mandarin plays. Aqua Vitae, a perfume of contrasts like a shimmering light on a golden skin.

Notes:  Lemon from Calabria, mandarin from Sicily, tonka bean from Brazil, vanilla infusion, hedione and guaiac wood.

Aqua Vitae, Eau de toilette, natural spray, 200 ml – 6,8 fl.oz. – 175 £

  • My friend who runs a perfume blog written in Polish had a chance to try this perfume last week.

A Maison Francis Kurkdjian representative was visiting our niche perfumery in Warsaw. She made an interview with the guy, Marc Chaya, and she tried Acqua Vitae. I wish I was as lucky as she was. Her description of this perfume is very alluring

the way two hands are holding perfume bottle reminds me of a Boucheron ad..not exact copy but hands' position is quite similar
