New Fragrance: Providence Perfume Co. Tangerine Thyme (Charna Ethier) + Summer Cologne Draw

tangerine thyme providence perfume co 1

Each year natural perfumer Charna Ethier creates an eau de cologne to celebrate summer.  Inspired by the Northeast Coast’s continued hot and humid weather, Charna’s new 2016 limited edition Tangerine Thyme  combines the fresh sweet citrus of Tangerine with the aromatic herbs in a classic cologne. Using an artisan tincture of Cara Cara zest  adds longevity  but we recommend that at $80 for 50 ml you spray with abandon before its gone, gone , gone. A sample is $ 10.

Notes: Tangerine, car acara, green mandarin, neroli, bergamot, marigold, petitgrain,  thyme, frankincense

Not sure what a tincture is , read our in depth article Perfumers Workshop on the Art of Tincturing

Editor's Note: Charna ships worldwide and I know our readers appreciate our sponsors who are so generous with draws. SUPPORT ARTISAN AND NATURAL PERFUMERY. Buy a sample (and knowing the artistic compositions that Charna is famous for buy a bottle).

Saw an ad for this yesterday an thought it sounded lovely, though After MCG’s Elephant& Roses I must admit to being wary of thyme. The product photo is marvelous. It screams bright and refreshing. Anxious to try this!

  • It has been really hot and I would love to get my nose on this
It’s a good price so maybe if I don’t win I will do a blind buy
    I like moss gown
    Thanks

  • Sounds wonderful, i tend to lean towards citrusy fragrances. No favorite – but I’m thinking I need to order the sample set, and possibly the perfume oil sampler, to find one. I have signed up for the newsletter, I’m in theUS, thanks for the draw!

  • I haven’t tried that many Providence perfumes but really like Hindu honeysuckle! This one sounds lovely. I have signed up for the newsletter but it was the not easy – the link provided did not seem to be the best way. I am in the US and thank you for the draw.

I’ve not had the pleasure of ever smelling any Providence Perfume Co. fragrances. This limited edition scent sounds wonderful. I love neroli and bergamot. The zestiness of tangerine makes this fragrance sound incredibly uplifting and refreshing. I was reading the perfume notes of several of their perfumes and Provanilla seems to be something I would enjoy wearing in the winter. I love that all their perfumes are made from natural ingredients.
    I live in the U.S.

  • Tangerine and thyme are a wonderful combination in food, and should make a delightful cologne. The only Providence Perfume I’ve tried is Moss Gown, which was indeed very mossy! I’ve been wanting to try Hindu Honeysuckle, though, and Divine, and Love-in-a-Mist. (So many perfumes, so little time.) I’m in the US, and I’ll go sign up for the newsletter right now.

  • I own about 4 Providence Perfumes and I love Charna’s style. In winter I love Moss Gown and Divine, and I’ve been wearing a lot of Hindu Honeysuckle this summer. I love thyme so this cologne sounds right up my alley! I am already a newsletter subscriber. Thank you Charna for another great gift! I am in USA.

  • My favorite Providence Perfume Co fragrance is Osmanthus Oolong eau de parfum – an aromatic fruity fragrance.
