Pierre Guillaume of Parfumerie Générale
Since 2012, from time to time, Independent Perfumer Pierre Guillaume of Parfumerie Générale “reworks” one of his classics as an addition to the original (which remains in the collection or in the case of Corps et Ames Apaisante is a limited edition). Like a painter whose artistic variations define periods, Pierre Guillaume makes several expressions of his ideas coexist and reinterprets his favorite themes.
New for 2017 is Neroli ad Astra. Ad astra (Latin) to the stars…Nine years after the creation of Louanges Profanes 19, Pierre Guillaume reworks the theme of orange blossom, in a new fresh and musky interpretation: Neroli ad astra 19.1. For Louanges Profanes 19, Pierre Guillaume had chosen an essence of Neroli from Tunisia, which spicy tones merge into a structure of lily, incense and benzoin. In 2017, it is the Neroli from Morocco, with a more potent floral aspect, which is the heart of this Rework: Neroli ad astra 19.1. In 2017, it is the Neroli from Morocco, with a more pronounced floral aspect that is at the heart of this Rework. Whereas Louanges Profanes, composed in 2008, is a sensuous floriental Pierre has revisited the composition to bring a musky, fresh interpretation.
