Hiram Green

In 2013, Natural perfumer Hiram Green, the artisan perfumer who left Scent Systems in London to start his own brand in Gouda The Netherlands introduced his first fragrance the dreamy Moon Bloom and white floral lovers were moonstruck. Shangri-La, a green chypre followed in 2014 (A CaFleureBon  Best of Scent for Best Natural Perfumer)  and last year the linited edition Voyage debuted…an ode to Lake Pichola and Octopussy’s floating palace.

Dilettante hiram green

Dilettante is Hiram Green's fourth fragrance,an all-natural fruity floral (no easy task).  With notes of orange flower, petitgrain and essential oil of orange, according to Twisted Lily Fragrance Boutique and Apothecary “Dilettante is a study in textures, glowing, sparkling and plush.  As the luscious, slightly indolic blossom contours drape effortlessly over skin, a tide of effervescence rises into the air, like mist evaporating from the top of a lake beneath the rising sun. This shimmering, airborne effect is luminous, weightless petitgrain. Slightly green and delightfully refreshing, petitgrain fizzles prettily, like an eager champagne rushing to dome just above the lip of its flute. Eventually, energetic petitgrain resolves into a fruity delight, and tart, honeyed orange oil is revealed”

Indigo Perfumery in Cleveland was the first to carry the brand in the USA and has shared that Hiram Green has a new Logo and bottle design. Twisted Lily sent us the photos of the repackaged line.

Hiram Green is a remarkable talent, and his creations deserve to be loved. His skill with naturals is an enduring inspiration. I adore Moon Bloom, and Voyage and Shangri-La are beautifully executed. I look forward to sampling this new one!

I have been wondering what Hiram Green’s new fragrance was going to be. He creates such beauty. I adore Voyage and it is in my top 5 favorite perfumes EVER. I used my Twisted Lily win of a gift certificate towards a bottle. Thanks. I love Moon Bloom and though Shangri-La is not my style, it’s very well done.

The new bottles are nice and I do like pretty bottles, especially perfume, but what really matters is what’s in them.

I liked Shangri-La and Voyage so much that I’m eager to try Moon Bloom, even though tuberose and I are not always friends. Dilettante, however, sounds like something I would adore! Sigh, time to start saving my pennies.

A generous fragrance friend shared a decant of Voyage with me. It is utterly beautiful, the kind of fragrance that does not fade from memory. Dilettante sounds remarkable as well. The new bottle is stunning. Hurray for Hiram Green and natural perfumery!
