In today's Women's Wear Daily the ledeleline of Fresh new fragrance trilogy Eat, Pray, Love was "Fresh goes to the Movies".
When I was contemplating my divorce, Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of the book Eat, Pray, Love, was my friend and companion. I too was huddled on the floor in tears; the book was a beacon of hope that my life would turn around.
The license for Fresh's trio Eat, Pray, Love is with Sony Pictures and will be launched July 15, 2010, to coincide with the movie starring Julia Roberts on August 13, 2010.
Back to the fragrance, this is not Fresh's first foray with books and movies. Their first was the limited editon Memoirs of a Geisha.
Lev Glazman, the founder of Fresh and Creative Director of Fresh Inc. returned to the book, which gives me hope that the trilogy will evoke the intense emotions of Elizabeth' Gilbert's spritual journey. According to Glazman, "each scent a different chapter of experience."
Eat has top notes of Italian lemon, basil and bergamot; a heart of plum, red currant and rose, and a drydown of vanilla,
Pray has top notes of elemi, pink pepper, and juniper berry; middle notes of incense, peony and rose, and a drydown of patchouli, amber and musk.
Love has top notesof bergamot, red currant, and mango blossom; a heart of tiare, and dewy jasmine, and a drydown of sandalwood, vetiver, and vetiver amber. each reatails for $32.00.
As a fan of many of the INDEX fragrances including Fresh Cannabis Rose (by nose Jerome Epinette), the discontinued Mukki, Patchouli Pure and Cannabis Santal, I am '"praying" that his "love' for fragrance and for wife Alina Rothberg, does justice to Elizabeth Gilbert's inspiring book, and that Eat Pray Love doesn't turn out to be another 'Avatar', 'Sex in the City' or "Matrix" of perfumery.
