As a reader of ÇaFleureBon and fragrance lover you may be (should be) familiar with Christian Provenzano, the global director of Perfumery of CPL Aromas  and creator of many niche and designer perfumes including scents for By Kilian, Penhaligon’s, Electimuss, Agent Provocateur, Boadicea The Victorious, Clive Christian and Sospiro (to name just a few) as well as his eponymous brand, Christian Provenzano. Art and Olfaction 2024 Award winning young perfumer Kevin Mathys learnt a lot from Mr. Provenzano, “when sharing his office on a daily basis”. Tempt Me Not was  Provenzano’s first collaboration with Navitus Parfums (the second is Vanilla Eclat)-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Navitus Parfums Tempt Me Not is a gourmand delight featuring caramel, toffee, vanilla, and brown sugar. A milk froth accord in the opening brings a lactonic warmth to the composition while creamy tonka in the base joins the mystery of benzoin and the sweetness of vanilla that create a long lasting and delicious amber accord. -Steven Gavrielatos, Video Contributor

Top Notes: Milk Froth & Brown Sugar; Heart Notes: Toffee, Caramel & Heliotrope; Base Notes: Madagascan Vanilla Bean, Indonesian Benzoin, Musk & Latin American Tonka

Navitus has really been on a sweet kick lately putting out gourmand after gourmand and I’m not mad about it. I really need to make it to ScentXplore next year. I am familiar with Nicoletta and I’m glad of this collaboration for her. Who doesn’t know Christian Provenzano in the perfumery world? Truly an iconic perfumer and he has also created most of the Boadicea The Victorious fragrances as well as Spirit of Kings. Tempt Me Not in sweetness upon sweetness so perfect for the snowstorm we’re about to have here in the northeast. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a milk froth accord before so I’m wanting to experience how that differs from a regular milk accord (maybe a bit foamy/airy). I am following CaFleureBonOfficial on IG and my username is Ramses.d.perez. We also need to point out Navitus has some of the best names fragrances-wise, very clever. I’m located in the USA.

  • Hello! I am new fan of the Navitus perfumes. It was love from the very first sniff. I would love to add Tempt me not to my Navitus collection. Especially after listening to Steven’s description. It sounds absolutely Amazing! I already have Vanilla Elcat, Chocolate Queen, Lost in a Dream and Venom of Love. And I will look forward to the next beautiful release.

As always, Steven’s review is very succinct. I love the way he describes perfumes.
Tempt Me Not absolutely has me tempted! It sounds like a heavenly scent and I would love to own it.
I am @noonlysloth on Instagram as well!

  • This one sounds so scrumptious!! As Steven mentioned they are perfect for this time of year, making you feel cozy and warm as we enter the grey winter months. I’m pleased to hear the heliotrope isn’t a star player and more in the background as well. Cannot wait to try this one. Following on IG as fresh_and_delicious. Cheers to the New Year from Ohio! 🙂

  • I love a warm tonka benzoin base and what’s not to love about frothy lactonic vanilla scents? Cozy and inviting. You can just snuggle right in. My IG is SimoneSamba and I am located in the U.S. thank you for such a generous give away.

  • Thank you for this opportunity. I’m new to Navitus , so far my purchases are Mahni Cassonade, Baklava and Amarous Intense which I love. I’ve referred friends and look forward to future purchases.

  • Steven’s reviews introduced me to Navitus Parfums. I love Venom in Love. I love how he described the velvety nature of this perfume. I’m definitely tempted.

Excellent review, as always. The fragrance sounds so delicious and I’d love to get my nose on it!

  • I loved reading all of the ‘best of’ posts, though I didn’t enter to win any as the ones most interesting to me, I’d already sampled or own a decant/FS bottle and wanted to allow those who hadn’t better odds with my absence. I don’t own any fragrances from Parfums, though Christian Provenzano is definitely in my top list of loved perfumers (Mark Buxton is my favorite).

I’m a die-hard lover of a milk note! I admittedly don’t own many gourmands as so many are too sweet or reminiscent of something I’d put in my wax melt burner. My most loved gourmand has a fur note in it which truly elevated it into something extraordinary.

I think the frothed milk combined with the blend from the gifted hands of Christian Provenzano, Tempt Me Not sounds like a gourmand I could truly appreciate and would love to own.

I really enjoyed Steven’s review. He painted a very detailed picture describing Tempt Me Nots’ fragrance profile. I thank him for his review, and I thank Christian for an opportunity to sample this perfume. I am located in the USA. Happy New Year, and warm regards!

  • Navitus great fragrance house. Steven’s Review for Tempt Me Not sounds wonderful. Great notes, love gourmand especially this time of year. As for Christian Provenzano one of my all time favorite perfumers. Thank you for this chance USA

  • I’m happy to see Steven, of Redolessence, finds the milk froth opening interesting. I was worried that it would make the perfume too foody, bit ot sounds like it plays well with the brown sugar. I Am Noelle is the first fragrance influencer I ran across and I’m excited for her fragrance. Like Redolessence, she doesn’t mince words in her
descriptions. I appreciate his descriptive overview. (BTW- buildable discovery sets for releases like these would be fantastic as I never blind buy.)

  • Diane Gustafson says:

Always the best, most descriptive reviews, this one did not disappoint. Just hearing the notes gets you excited for what you are going to experience with this fragrance. Bravo!

  • I’m looking for something new. I’m going to give this a try. The review sounds like it would be for me!

  • Steven actually piqued my interest in Tempt Me Not after seeing it on his Tiktok account. While I’m not usually a gourmand girlie, Steven’s detailed descriptions have me ready to dive in head first. Tempt Me Not sounds luscious and I want to be luscious.

  • I have not really done a dive into Navitus perfumes, but this one sounds like a great place to start. I am seeing so many gourmand perfumes, and I think it is something about everyone wanting to feel cozy in the cold winter weather. Also, I think cold weather can be the best time to wear gourmands. I like Steven’s description and would love to try Tempt Me Not. I am in the USA. Thank you for the draw.

  • HarryNouNours678 says:

Redolessence has really opened my eyes to so many amazing fragrances and because of Steven’s reviews, I have gone on to try so many new and interesting fragrances that I otherwise would never have known about. His fragrance reviews and commentary remind me of sommelier speak and I appreciate that level of passion, education and thoroughness in each one. The review for Navitus Tempt Me Not was no exception. I now know that I love gourmands and hope to try this one as soon as it becomes available on Scentsplit or DecantX, or et al.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

Love the notes in this fragrance. I’m into gourmand but not all gourmand’s are into me. A lot of times the dry down on me seems a bit waxy/candle like.

I’ve smelled a few from Christian Provenzano so I know the quality is going to be top notch. I like how Steven said that this fragrance is sugary, silky & smooth. He mentions how all these notes work in harmony.

  • I have only recently started wearing gourmands but I do love Prada Candy. The ambery base of benzoin and tonka in this fragrance sounds lovely. I like how Steven described the caramelized scent of the brown sugar as well as the lactonic milk froth. I would be very curious to try it out. Thanks and hello from CO, USA!

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I was really excited for this release from Navitus, Tempt Me Not sounds like a deliciously dense treat. This went on my must-buy list so fast, I’m not sure when I will save up to get it, but it’s definitely a need. Everything about this perfume screams dessert and I’m here for it. I am a Redolessence subscriber and I follow Cafleurebon on insta at eris.can.swatch.kaos. I live in Oregon.

  • Tempt me Not sounds like a scrumptious gourmand with autumnal notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar and tonka. Steven mentions, this kind of scent is made for colder weather making you fee; warm and cozy. MD, USA.

  • This sounds like a gourmand lovers DREAM! Brown sugar and caramel goodness! Plus, Navitas is known for great longevity, so I have no doubt this will last and last on the skin. Steven’s review makes me want to run out and buy this ASAP. This will definitely be purchased in the next couple of weeks!
    I live in the USA.

  • This must be the year of gourmands because there are so many amazing scents coming out. Tempt Me Not sounds like a comforting mug of hot sweetened milk. I would love to try it. Hello from Honolulu, HI. I am also starsnek on Instagram.
