I’m so excited to hear about this one…
The way Steven described this Fragrance I absolutely need this fragrance in my collection…Did you see the notes…. Omg..I need this one. Great article as well… Thank you for sharing this

This concoction of notes just sounds divine! A true gourmand fragrance. I do like a bit of spice as well as it balances out the sweetness and it doesn’t get overpowering. Also, the boozy touch is always welcomed in my house. Also, this is never said about Navitus Parfums, but whoever comes up with the names deserves a raise because they are very exotic and enticing. I knew exactly what Michelyn meant when she translated the name as it does sounds very much like we’re in a for a treat. I agree with Steven that the color does give a vibe as to what’s in the bottle. Cheers from NJ, USA

  • Aidan Bryant says:

I have been a fan of Steven’s for a while now and have not yet read a CaFleureBon until now. I really enjoyed the read to know.more about these beautiful parfums. I have not yet tried Navitus but I look forward to trying the house in the near future. Great content!

I need a Gourmand fragrance in my life! Currently don’t own one and this scents sounds right up my ally !

  • I am a huge fan of the house of Navitus and have several bottles from the brand. Haven’t been able to order anything in the last year but This one sounds lovely. Win the giveaway or wait for a while to buy but I would love to own this fragrance. Keep up the great work

  • William Henry says:

The only gourmand I’ve owned is Tea for Two by L’Artisan. Huge performer and I loved it.

  • Another well-written introduction by Michelyn, and top quality production, Steven. The scent sounds fantastic. Checks all my boxes. Thanks for the giveaway! New Jersey, USA

  • @wmikish I’ve been subscribed to Steven’s channel for around 3 yrs. I respect the information he gives us and I respect him personally. I’ve owned only one gourmand and that was Tea for Two by L’ Artisan. Beautiful fragrance and excellent performance. One has to be gentle applying this one.

  • I agree with Michelyn’s that Timbuktu is a masterpiece. I need to try out more fragrances composed by Bertrand Duchaufour. I have not tried any fragrances from perfumer Pierre Flores yet, but looking forward to it,
Rum, honey, spices, dried fruits, vanilla, tonka, etc sounds like an inteesting mix of gourmand notes and looking forward to the cold weather to be able to enjoy these kind of fragrances, including this new offering from Navitus. Steven’s description of Formal and sophisticated makes me curious to try it.

  • I always love the way that Steven is able to paint a picture of a fragrance. Judging by Michelyn’s description, this would be a fantastic fragrance for the fall months, that I would love to add to my collection!

  • hold on…caramel? chocolate? toffee? vanilla? A gourmand lover’s dream and I am that lover. I have a few fragrances from the house and I love every one of them. Winter time is coming up and with Steven saying how it has a linear smell count me in. Michelyn mentions the translation to honey ecstasy got me instantly interested and then to see Bertrand Duchaufour was one of the perfumers i was sold. This will be a great addition to my collection and hopefully bring me some luck with the cuddle weather. May the Fragrance Gods bring me luck

I love Bertrand’s work. Michelyn describes honey ecstasy and that sounds wonderful. Steven is always so thorough is in reviews and makes this sound awesome. I’d love to win and live in Indiana

  • Sounds like a gorgeous gourmand with the apricot, honey, and fruit. I like that Steven mentioned it’s more into the honey side than it is boozy. I find that sometimes boozy can get a little too cloying.

  • Steven, that gem, makes me want everything. This latest creation from Bertrand Duchaufour and Navitus sounds like a gourmond bombshell, a dabber to be sure, but what excites me use that this could be a sublime honey rather than s scrubber honey. I have yet to find that. Thank you Michelyn, for the opportunity. I live in NY and I just had my 4th grandson!

  • Wow I love Karina channel ! And this it’s a dream for her! We are so proud for her. I wish I can have this fragrance in my hand . The notes are so perfect

  • Yulando McMullen says:

I enjoy Steven’s reviews of fragrances! He has always given his honest opinion, and I’ve always felt confident in his analysis. As far as Michelyn’s interview with Bertrand Duchaufour, I felt it was very informative and provided an in-depth look into the factors considered in his fragrance creation process. Very well done

  • This really sounds like a gorgeous fragrance. Steven kept talking about the honey note that seems to be throughout the scent. Plus, that hint of apricot with those gourmand notes makes it seem like it would be a great scent for the Fall.

Redolessence always does a great job explaining fragrances and Navitus new release sounds like a gem.

  • Yum! This definitely sounds like a boozy gourmand perfect for cooler months. Caramel, chocolate, toffee and vanilla have me drooling. The addition of the ginger, dried fruits and rum sound a little like a fruitcake accord. There’s a reason Steven reviews so many Navitus Parfums fragrances. Very informative as always.

  • I have been toying with a Navitus perfume purchase, and Steven does not make the choice simple. Every scent he talks about interests me and this is no exception. Which one to choose? In maryland.

  • I only started reading ÇaFleureBon last year, so Michelyn’s introduction was very informative. I didn’t realize Duchaufour was such a notable name, though I’ve read about a number of Navitus Parfums releases here. Speaking of, I like how Steven included a hierarchy of notes to give a sense of how Miel Extase progresses and weights different elements of the blend. Interesting that it’s mostly linear, with the exception of the citrus. Curious about the honey aspect too.

  • Farewellsmell says:

Very informative review and introduction by Steven and Michelyn, had no clue about Bertrand Duchaufour’s involvement in Jo Malone till now. This sounds like an incredible gourmand fragrance based off Steven’s review, and am very surprised by the longevity of Miel Extase. Following from @dairylll.

  • Great review by Steven and introduction by Michelyn.
I am a huge fan of Navitus Parfums and Bertrand. Navitus Parfums never dissapointed me so far.
Miel Extase seems like something I would love! A boozy gourmand that has wild honey as the main note, just amazing. The vanilla, the tonka, the toffee also makes this fragrance more interesting.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I can like boozy gourmands. Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour is possibly my favorite perfumer because “Jubilation XXV Man” is possibly my favorite fragrance. I hope to try as many of Duchaufour’s works as I can. I’d like to try Navitus Parfums Miel Extase. I like to hear that it has wild honey in combination with dried fruits. I’m interested in seeing what the powdery gourmand aspect is like. I live in the U.S.A. I follow @cafleurebonoffical in I.G. from: @regismonkton

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven’s video review and Michelyn’s introduction of Navitus Parfums. Legendary perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour of TechnicoFlor who has composed over 150 fragrances and co-created 12 for Navitus Parfums as well as co-perfumer Pierre Flores have created a gourmand cold weather gem with a honeyed apricot boozy chocolate, vanilla, tonka, toffee, and caramel masterpiece that Steven makes sound truly divine. This is on my wishlist for the fall and winter. I am following @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram. My instaname is @michaelprincefragrance I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Therese Jamora-Garceau says:

Despite working for Navitus, I appreciate that Steven’s review was quite objective and not a hard sell. For me he’s one of the most thoughtful, cerebral fragrance reviewers on YouTube, and I enjoy his style of reviewing. For one, it’s very complete, from the presentation of the bottle to the perfumers to what the fragrance smells like, what sort of customer it would appeal to and where it’s best worn. His description of Miel Extase being more sophisticated and for those more experienced with niche fragrances definitely had me intrigued.
Michelyn’s introduction was equally fascinating to me because she talks more about the perfumers. I’ve long been a fan of Bertrand Duchaufour’s compositions, but didn’t know about TechnicoFlor or Pierre Flores. I love behind-the-scenes information like this, and the backstory just deepens my interest in the fragrance.

Hello , Pastry Chef in the house 🙂
Bertrand Duchaufour career is remarkable , he cooked so many successful, beautiful and popular fragrances , from Jubilation XXV from Amouage to Timbuktu and Noir Exquis from L’Artisan Parfumeur.
Miel Extase is a fragrance I’ll be happy to win. Michelyn introduction and Steven take on on the fragrance made me think of the traditional Armenian Honey Cake called MARLENKA, with Apricot , Rum , Cocoa and Honey Cake .
I imagined making the MARLENKA Cake , and enjoying it with a cup of tea , the same level of enjoyment I’d feel for Miel Extase.
A lot of famous perfumers worked with Navitus, not just Bertrand Duchaufour.
Jorge Lee is the one , who cooked my two favorites Navitus Parfums fragrances, Vivamor and Serenade.
Appreciate the gourmand intro , the review, and the giveaway campaign
    USA

  • Let’s face it , Miel Extase is spectacular social nights out fragrance . Bertrand Duchaufour is a famous perfumer for a good reason, I even had Timbuktu , the other perfumer Pierre Flores I don’t know.
From my perspective every man needs a perfectly fitting suit , and a fragrance like Miel Extase. I like the honey and rum notes , the chocolate drydown is tickling my fancy even more.
Dark brown double breasted suit, cashmere maroon turtleneck and brown Chelsea boots is the outfit suited for Miel Extase , perfect balance altogether.
Vivamor is my favorite Navitus Parfums
Thank you Steven, Michelyn, Bertrand Duchaufour , Pierre Flores

  • I’d love to win Miel Extase because of the sweet gourmand and spicy aspects , and especially the chocolate base . The rum i think will make it quite seductive , LBD is waiting for me 😉 . I know I’d enjoy the scent especially during the upcoming transitional Fall weather
I’m also happy to know Miel Extase is collaboration between one already accomplished perfumer like Bertrand Duchaufour, and one up and coming prospect like Pierre Flores.
Aubade (Lyrik) , another Navitus collaboration between Julien Rasquinet and Dominique Ropion , is the best Navitus fragrance I’ve smelled . Aubade (Lyrik) , The Embrace and Navus are the Navitus Parfums fragrances I own.
    Thanks for the draw

  • Bertrand Duchaufour is , in my opinion one of the greatest perfumers ever, top 3 in my personal list , not just of the past 3 decades, , with with iconic fragrances for MDCI Parfums, Amouage, Naomi Goodsir, Neela Vermeire, The Vagabond Prince, Penhaligon’s , L’Artisan Parfumeur . I really like his work with Navitus and their sub brands

“and he has created or co-created 12 with Navitus Parfums”

Plus fragrances he composed for Vivamor and Galleria Parfums, sister brands to Navitus.
Navitus Parfums fragrances are all made with quality ingredients, and composed by renowned perfumers . Both the premium line , and Vivamor sub-brand are steps in the right direction. No matter what kind of fragrances you like , they can offer you something special.
I like Steven’s the inside information about how Miel Extase was made , collab with Kari aka DearMakeupDiary , the perfumer, the scent profile and its mouthwatering qualities. Bertrand Duchaufour uses honey, rum , dried fruits and vanilla so well. I wonder if I’ll be able to pick some similarities with Or du Serail by Naomi Goodsir.
If I have to rate my favorite Navitus Parfums fragrances :
    1. Soir Exclusif , composed by Bertrand Duchaufour
    2. Serenade/Empyreal
    3. Exralt Nuit/The Embrace
    All profiles I already follow, including @dearmakeupdiary , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • Thanks for the great review Steven!

I’m not a fan of gourmands per se, but I love the use of apricot, coffee and tonka bean in this fragrance.I love the fact that this fragrance is balanced by spices. Also interesting is the fact that this fragrance is quite linear.

The presentation of this fragrance is quite beautiful.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • To Michelyn and Steven, can you Please in a future article explain how exactly such 2 perfumers collaborations work? I don’t exactly get it, is one working on the opening, and the other one on the base and drydown, or it’s something else?!?
Steven review was like a trip to a Caribbean Island, with Chocolate Old Fashioned cocktail in my hand.
I like Miel Extase versatility for such party like occasions, I can’t go wrong with honey, chocolate and rum fragrance made by a genius like Bertrand Duchaufour. Like Michelyn I like Timbuktu too
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Navus , I’m also into XO Brandy, Absolutio , and Vivamor .
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • I’m always ready for sensual, deep and rich cold weather fragrances done right ✅
Coziness, positive emotions , romantic occasions all are part of the festive sensation coming from Miel Extase . The fragrance is not too sweet, not too boozy or spicy, it checks all the boxes, I’ll gladly wear it on dates, or concerts. Other than the modern masterpiece Timbuktu Bertrand Duchaufour is the perfumer behind Amouage Jubilation XXV, Penhaligon’s Sartorial, L’Artisan Noir Exquis and Traversee du Bosphore , and Navitus Absolutio, I know he did great again with Miel Extase . Pierre Flores i presume is a good perfumer too , if he’s working with Bertrand Duchaufour on different projects .
From Navitus I’m happy to have Absolutio , and Vivamor. Compliments galore from both , each and every time.
    Exciting giveaway , USA

I’ve been watching Steven for a long time and esp love his collars with Brooklyn Fragrance Loved .
    Great job Steven 🙂
This frag sounds amazing! I love honey notes in fragrances.

  • Thanks for the wonderful introduction, Michelyn. Steven’s review makes Miel Extase sound like the ultimate gourmand for fall and winter. The combination of notes sounds so delicious: apricot, dried fruits, rum, tonka, Madagascar vanilla, chocolate, caramel, toffee and honey!!

  • Redolessence is at his apex when he is describing gourmands. In fact, this is how I found him, searching or great gourmands. His descriptions of how the notes merge but also how they make their appearance over the life of the fragrance is superb. The honey, apricot, and other dried fruits would grab me instantly but it’s descriptions of how the chocolate or cocoa, Tonka and vanilla create a “base” for the other ingredients let’s me know this is something I’d love from start to finish.
The honey, spun into a unique, easy to love but not “made for the masses fragrance is a stroke off genius and separates it from others like Kilian’s Back to Black. The number of superb creations from the Navitas and Vivamor brands is what I consider remarkable. Usually when houses churn out released they are uninspired to be kind.
