MUGLER LES EXCEPTIONS Cuir Impertinent is “Disruptive, Addictive, Unexpected. Bringing a new olfactory experience to fragrance. The smokiness of tanned leather meets the unexpected explosion of star anise to create a unique scent. Perfume yourself with bold, brazen sensuality”. – via Thierry Mugler USA Website

MUGLER LES EXCEPTIONS Cuir Impertinent signed by Jean Christophe Herault is composed of star anise, tobacco, amber and leather.  These notes have come together to create a big fragrance for men and for women where star anise, with its green and slightly boozy character at the top and dry leather at the base really standout. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

I enjoy Sebastian’s review of fragrances which are not over the top, hyped to death with the same keywords. His review is to the point and unbiased with what he like and don’t like. Mugler Cuir Impertinent is a fragrance that is up my alley with star anise, tobacco and leather. These are scents that compliment me as a person and draw more compliments than floral and fruity fragrances. I am very curious about Mugler Cuir Impertinent and would love to try it.

I absolutely love leather fragrances and currently own several. Very curious about this one and would love to try it. Thank you for a fabulous review!

  • Bravo dear Sebastian- great review!!! I enjoyed.
I think I will enjoy fresh anis start of Mugler Impertinent and his heart- as Sebastian said little animalic leathery heart. I like leather fragrances.
I like and respect great perfume house Mugler.

You have to love when Sebastian does a review on a fragrance that deserves more attention. I love the way he describes the notes and composition. The star anise and it’s ability to remind you of “licorice” I’d very enticing to me. I have yet to try anything from the Mugler exclusive line and I guess that’s partially due to their addressability, as Sebastian touches on, but I really look forward to hopefully trying the whole line. I love in the united States

  • Star anise has always been a favorite since the days of Jo Malone’s Vanilla & Anise. Combining it with tobacco and leather will make this a perfect scent for snowy, cashmere days.

Sebastian introduced me to Mugler. His nuances descriptions are so spot on that they have lead to several blind purchases.

What I loved about Sebastian’s video on this Mugler fragrance was the fact he said it’s got a lot of animalic notes towards the end and it’s very heavy in the Star Anise initially. I have nothing like this in my collection and would love to experiment with it. Please let me know if I win, I’m in Katy, Tx

  • I enjoyed his description of how star anise has a greenish vibe to it. I’m in the USA & would love to try this Mugler fragrance. Good luck to all!

  • Sebastian is my favorite YouTube reviewer and I know my husband is a huge fan of Sabastians description of this boozy leather fragrance. I have not seen nor do we have access to the Mugler Exceptions line. Thanks from the USA

  • Thanks for the chance to win a fragrance from this line. Sebastian’s always has reviewed good to great fragrances and it sounds like this is not different. The bottle looks awesome and his impression of the star anise and tobacco sound like a great date night scent. Thanks again from Hawaii

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

Thanks Sebastian for the spotlight review.
Cuir impertinent, sounds like a good scent to me.
Interesting accord and Mugler is at best surprising to me
The only downside is the fact that they are not selling at my local stores.
    But who knows. Hope soon
    Thanks.

Sebastian’s reviews are always informative and he seems to have fun doing them. I’ve smelled Angel in the past, but nothing else by Mugler. this sounds interesting. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the USA

I learned from Sebastian’s review that Cuir Impertinent is sparkling in the beginning due to notes like Star Anise but does show animalic elements in the dry down. Sebastian seems quite impressed with it and is confident it will impress leather lovers. I have many from Mugler and some of my favorites are Angel Extrait, AMen, Pure Havana, Pure Malt, and Mugler Cologne. I am in the US.

  • What I liked in sebastian’s review that he was sailing in the les exceptions line where he try to close the image for what drew his attention in this line , I liked that tobacco in the heart and the leather tends to be in the base this sounds realky good for me as tobacco is not dominant on staranise where It fight for peace, I like It .
    In US.

  • These notes are some of my favorites. Would love to smell this and the rest of the line, so I agree with Sebastian about hoping for more widespread distribution. Thank you for an informative review. I am in the US

  • Just Add Light says:

Tobacco and leather are a winning combination in my book, but it’s the addition of anise that has me intrigued. I’ve never had the opportunity to smell anything from the exclusive line, so I really appreciate Sebastian’s comparison to B-Men – one of my favourites along with Pure Havane, Malt and Wood. I also applaud Sebastian’s plea for wider availability, so that enthusiasts everywhere can have the chance to sample the best from such an excellent perfume house.

  • I liked how Sebastian touched on the aspects of the individual notes in this fragrance. From his description this should be something I would love. I have never sampled this one; however, I have tried two others from this line and was very disappointed. I’d love to give this one a go as I enjoy other Muglers with similar notes.

  • GrandmaGaga says:

As always, I appreciate Sebastian’s laid-back, approachable reviewing style. I absolutely love the name of this fragrance. I own and wear many Mugler fragrances but this would be my first masculine-leaning scent…I’d love to win it for my husband. It sounds like one I’d really like with the star anise/liquorish addition. I am in the US.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I always end up wanting to buy whatever he reviews!
I’m a big fan of Mugler fragrances but I’ve never tried anything from the Les Exceptions line. However, I love licorice notes. And mixed with the leather note, it sounds really sexy and unisex. So I’d love to try it for both myself and my boyfriend.
I live in the U.S. (Pennsylvania)

  • I was not familiar with the Les Exceptions. I like the idea of star anise in the Cuir Impertinent. US

  • Great job, Sebastian!!!
I love the way he describes the notes and whole composition.
I can not say I love anis in oerfumery, but I’m leather fragrances lover, if thay are not so rubbery!
I am not familiar with Mugler Les Exceptions line, but have read so many nice reviews.

  • as always, Sebastian does a great job in breaking down a parfums notes and describing the best way to understand the aromas. kind of explaining colors to a blind man. lol.
he had me at leather fragrance. love that sexy, yet comforting smell! i can’t remember if i’ve ever smelled the combination of leather and anise. that mix sounds like a rich mans leather. hope to win and enjoy this bottle. U.S.A.

Always love Sebastian’s enthusiasm about fragrances. Orient Express is my favorite Mugler. I reside in the United States.

  • I have read good reviews of Cuir Impertinent and enjoyed Sebastian’s video and learning about the green star anise. I bought WONDERBOUQUET which I read about on Cafleurebon

  • Great collaboration with between Cafleurebon and Sebastian. I was not aware of the Les Exceptions line. I really appreciate Sebastians descriptions. It sounds well made and blended. I would love to try this. Thank you for another great opportunity. Thanks again.

  • Sebastian’s review intrigued me when he said it was dry and woody – I prefer that type of tobacco over the sticky hookah types. I love licorice/anise notes, so that sold it. I haven’t tried the Les Exceptions line – it’s been hard to find in stores. I’m in the US, please enter me for the bottle

  • Armin Figo Dante says:

i really enjoy always his reviews, and verry different than others, the cuir leather note is really interesting and even though i didnt tried this line i hope to win this and thanks for awesome oppurtunity, US here.

  • Great review. I always enjoy Sebastian’s fragrance reviews and the reports on this site. Thanks for the giveaway. Would love to try and own a bottle of this fragrance. Haven’t tried anything from the Les Exception
    Line. From California

  • Frank Gambina says:

I enjoyed the way Sebastian pointed out how the simplistic notes gave of a boozy and licorice vibe. I’m a big fan of both. My favorite Mugler fragrance is “A” men. New York, USA.

  • love the notes and accords listed and how he gives detailed reviews on it ..sebastian always makes great videos , it’s a joy watching him and it’s even better he gives back . salute

  • I appreciate Sebastian’s clarity and that he took so much effort to explain the notes, how they came across, and his overall impression of this fragrance and the line in general. I would also love to see these in wider distribution.
I’m in the US, thanks for the draw!

I do follow Sebasian for a very long time-since his old channel Man Loves Cologne.
I’ve smelled most of the Les Exceptions line , and imo there are 2 far better than the others – bought Woodissime and i also like a lot Wonder Bouquet.Never smelled this one-it was not available and the one i don’t like is Over The Musk-musk and tons of black pepper-nothing more.I am a big fan of Mugler house-own 13 fragrances , but Over The Musk was a BIG NO-NO for me.Cuir Impertinent sounds delish.

  • I’ve tried a few of Mugler Les Exceptions, my favorite was Supra Floral. I’ve got a few well-loved Mugler frangrances, Alien, Angel Muse, and Womanity. I liked Sebastian’s review because he always provides easy to understand descriptions of the main notes. I would love to try Cuir Impertinent and am in the U.S. Thank you!

I have always enjoyed Sabastians reviews and readily watch his youtube reviews. This one is full of memories for me because I started sampling Mugler back in college A*Men was one of my favorites back in the day. This one boasting a combo of greenness and leather creates a nice fantasy that takes me back to riding my motorcycle with leathers on. Thanks sebastian for that trip down amnesia road. Go Mugler.

What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s YouTube review is the note breakdown it looks magnificent. I have never tried anything Mugler’s Les Exceptions line, but I enjoy the Amen line. USA resident

  • I’ve always liked Sebastian reviews – laid back and honest at the same time. Tobacco, amber and leather is always a great combination of notes.
I own Wonder Bouquet from this more expensive line , but it’s was a Christmas gift from my brother. From the regular Mugler i own Angel , Angel Muse and Pure Coffee-love it and to me it’s 100% unisex and gets me A LOT of compliments.Winston VA

I remember sneaking Anisette from my parents liquor cabinet when i was a teenager. First time I ever got drunk. I still like anything like liquorice and I adore leather fragrances, so I really want to try this. I have heard so many good things about Hot Cologne. I can’t wait to try that as well. I live in the USA.

  • lordkelwynne says:

A sumptuous sounding scent that seems to merge the best of what I like about many Italian scents, the anise, with deeper notes of leather and amber. I adore all of this. I wear a very Italian amber from Armani that sends me. I am certain to adore this scent from Mugler. I am in Philadelphia in the US and would greatly appreciate being considered for the give away.
