Most Unique Spring Perfumes 2023 + Five Standout This Season Giveaways

Most Unique Spring Perfumes 2023

Most Unique Spring Perfumes 2023 Steven©

It’s been a looong winter and let’s face it, many of us have been stressed out and anxious about the uncertainty around us. Spring is the season of hope, of renewal. “Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.” –Virgil E Kraft. Video editor Steven Gavrielatos and I curated five unique Spring Perfumes 2023 that fly under the radar (because why fit in when you can stand out). –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama (Maxence Moutte): All Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances are inspired by a garden. In this case Givaudan perfumer Maxence Moutte sought to capture the bamboo forest of Japan’s Arashiyama Park. If you have ever gone forest bathing (which I highly recommend if you need to tune out), that Zen-like experience is bottled here. The Scent of Tranquility- Michelyn

Notes: oakmossbergamot, lentiscus, aquatic notes, fig accord, incensevetivercedar

Perfumology Grange (Justin Federico with evaluator Ida Meister): Grange was inspired by Perfumology owner Nir Guy’s childhood.  He was a preadolescent playing with his friends in a 300 + year old park-The Grange Estate and Cobb’s Creek. Nir said of Grange that Justin Federico managed to interpret that time in his life perfectly. Perfumology Grange opens with a rush of wet citrus that merges with ripe figs. After 12 hours the citrus and fig notes fade and the scent of green trees, woods and tobacco linger. If you have seen the movie Inception, which is about memories implanted into people’s minds and integrated into their subconscious so it seems like their own, Perfumology Grange is the olfactive equivalent. -Michelyn

Notes: Mexican lime, Sicilian orange, fig, tobacco, American cedar

Parfums de Marly Sedley (Olivier Cresp) is a fresh and unique composition that combines mint with incense and citrus. The lemon and bergamot combination establishes the effervescent opening while the lavender and rosemary create the aromatic heart. Sandalwood and vetiver establish the long lasting, earthy dry down.-Steven

InEke Balmy Days and Sundays (Ineke Ruhland) is a green grassy floral with rose, honeysuckle and an especially spectacular mimosa note. Wear this and you’ll feel like you are wiggling your toes through a freshly mown lawn watching clouds float by in a bright blue sky. It’s perfect to wear anytime you want to bring the outdoors indoors. B is for brilliant. New to the brand? Ineke has a sampling programMichelyn

Notes: rhubarb tea, grapefruitlavender, Big Sur sagebrush, cypress, fir needle, cardamomwoodsoud, musk

Beech Geeza Jet Set (Ryan Hunts): Artisan perfumer Ryan Hunts was inspired by meeting actor John Hamm (Don Draper from Mad Men) to compose this bold, commanding fragrance that will have you imagining that you have closed a major deal and are flying off to the South Pacific to celebrate. Opening with a blast of Neroli and Sweet Orange then transitioning to French style shave soap with green Fougère elements, wearing Jet Set you’re going to smell like a power player. Patchouli and Ambergris give off a leather seat kind of vibe with some green tobacco leaf nuances. No doubt, with one spritz you are flying first-class. I think Peggy Olsen would LOVE IT! –Michelyn

Hello Steven and Cafleurebon and Michelyn. I love Sedley. Thank you for your generosity. I’m ready for the spring and the Mimosa note in Jet set has me intrigued. Stay safe

  • Spring is one of my favorite seasons as it lifts me from the winter-time blues but, alas, it and summer are the seasons for which I have the least scents in my collection. This is an issue I have been slowly starting to remedy (I just purchased a new Fzotic and my first Acqua Di Parma). The selection you have shared with us here all soudn perfect for the warmer days and will certainly put some pep in your step. I appreciated Michelyn’s descriptions of Mousse Arashiyama, Grange, and Balmy Days and Sundays. As I’m sure I have commented before, I love fragrances that are transportive and these three seem to be the type to whisk you away to freshly mown lawns, ornate gardens, or exotic forests. Steven’s thoughts affirmed this notion but also painted a cleaer picture as to the profiles and performance of them. I was not as interested in Jet set before watching his video but now I am as intrigued by it as I am the others. What can I say? Him calling it a unique powehouse with insane longevity certainly caught my attention because supreme performance is something you don’t always get with spring time scents. Sedley is one that I had on my radar a long time ago but kind of forgot about. Now Steven’s comments about it being a unique and fresh take on incense has rekindled my interest in it. So….what would I pick If I won? Wow, these all sound so good. I would be happy with Jet Set, Sedley, or Mousse Arashiyama. I live in NC, USA.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I enjoyed reading Michelyn’s review and watching Steven’s video about these unique fragrances for spring. I love fig and tobacco, so I would love to win a bottle of Grange by Perfumology. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Dwayne Alexander says:

I really enjoyed both reviews. Jet Set seems like a very nice scent. I have Coco Moon which is a very nice tropical style scent. I particularly enjoy the longevity of this brand. I live in the U.S. and would like to participate in giveaway.

  • Kenneth Torres says:

Excellent list and great review. When I get the opportunity I will love to put my nose on these exquisite fragrances. Great job as usual

  • I enjoyed both the reviews of both Steven and Michelyn – they have me anticipating spring more than I thought. I love the idea of Grange – it sounds perfect for the season! I’m in Maryland, USA.

  • I liked how Michelyn talked about Mad Men in her review of Jet Set. It tells you exactly what kind of perfume Jet Set is going to be. And Steven confirmed it by saying how classy and long lasting it is. I am intrigued by Parfums de Marly Sedley though, as I love incense perfumes and love the bottle it comes in. Arashiyama sounds great and I have been to Arashiyama in Japan – it is a great, tranquil place, if you can avoid the massive crowds. All of these perfumes are lovely, but were I to win this draw, I will choose Sedley by Parfums de Marly. Thanks for curating this lovely spring perfume collection, and for a very generous draw. I am a Redolessence subscriber and from the continental United States.

  • I would like to win a 50 ml of Jet Set. I thought that Steven’s review was very professional and well made, I also thought that Michelyn’s review was very informative, helpful and beautiful. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. I follow on Instagram. My account name: insztagramekphoto

  • ramsesperez52 says:

What I took away from this is that there’s many niche houses out there I don’t know about and must change that. Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama sounds the best to me and the note breakdown and I need the zen like experience in a bottle. Steven is a huge Darley fan and he always says it’s very overlooked so I’d love to win this one. Cheers from NJ, USA.

  • Steven is always killing it with his reviews, stand up guy that one. US! Following on instagram my handle: @blissful_encounter

  • olgAPOISON says:

I want that Rich, im the star vibe! I really love that im the boss feeling desribed Beach Geeza wins, would love to win from eu

  • Refreshing to have reviews of fragrances that are from different brands as so many ‘best of’ lists consist entirely of fragrances that feature in every other review.
I would love Jet Set please.
I love Stevens presentation style as his knowledge and passion shine through and he is so relaxing to watch.
First time reading Michelyn’s review and I’m impressed! Look forward to reading more now that I have registered. and followed on Instagram @wrexington6.
    Best Wishes from the UK!

  • “Balmy Days and Sundays”!! What a great name for a spring perfume! Flowers and earthy grass are my quintessential spring experiences. Michelyn’s introduction convinced me to want to try this scent.
Neroli is not my favorite note. But when Steven expresses strongly about something, it must be worthy. I am also interested in trying how neroli mixes with other notes to make earthy gentlemanly accord in Beech Geeza Jet Set.
    From New York

  • Another great review Steven, also, loved the inception reference from Michelyn about Grange, definitely makes me want to grab a sample and experience it! Having smelt Sedley before though, wining that fragrance would be awesome for the upcoming spring, Im in Denver Colorado

  • blaineconti says:

I’d love to win this was a wonderful video and review I really enjoyed thanks for posting.

  • Michelyn’s and Steven’s Picks are definitely unique spring perfumes. I have all but 1 and that’s BALMY DAYS & SUNDAYS. This sounds so beautiful love the notes. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • Spring is just around the corner and it’s time to put the sweet heavy fragrances away and get those freshies out!!!! All five fragrances sounds amazing, unique, fresh and clean! I would love to get my hands in any of them but If I could choose I would love to try Balmy Days and Sundays or Sedley. I’m from Massachusetts, US. Following Çafleurebon and Steven on Instagram as Hshinkoda. Fingers crossed!!!!!

  • meenjokeem says:

I love the way how Steven mentions that while fig isn’t his favorite ingredient, Grange has made its way on this list due to how well it works with the tobacco and its general smoothness. Michelyn’s description of how Grange is the olfactive equivalent of Inception has me sold on it! I love the story of Nir’s childhood, running around the woods. I actually have been to Perfumology before, but haven’t been able to smell Grange! So I’d love to be considered for the drawing for Grange.

    I’m in Pennsylvania, USA!

  • From the written intro I appreciated the inclusion of the V. E. Kraft quote. From the video I decided the one I would choose if I won was the Sedley. US

  • It would be lovely to add a new fig fragrance to my collection. I remember sampling and enjoying Figuier Ardent by Atelier Cologne a few years back and am definitely eager to try something new. Inception is a rather clever film and if this fragrance is reminiscent of it, even better. I’d love to win Grange! I do follow Cafleurebon on insta and can confirm my username via email.
    Thanks for the generous draw.
    Indiana, USA

  • Steven’s review made Grange and Mousse Arashiyama sound especially intriguing as both feature fig, a note I love. Michelyn’s write-up provided the tie-breaker: I could really use a Zen-like experience at the moment. So if I won, I’d love to have the Mousse Arashiyama…though I’d also be happy with Grange. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • Michelyn did a really good job describing the inspirations behind these fragrances. I enjoyed the comparisons as well that were included for the fragrances, as someone who doesn’t have that much experience with more niche fragrances, it really helps in imagining their scents. Steven did an incredible job describing each note in these fragrances. Each of these fragrances sound incredible for the winter as described by Steven and Michelyn. I would be happy to receive any of these fragrances as I’m trying to explore new fragrances to me, but if I had to pick one I would prefer Sedley. From TX, USA.

  • emorandeira says:

As always the reviews of Michelyn and Steven are AMAZING. Unfortunately I don’t know any of these 5 perfumes but, accordi g to their descriptions, I think the one that I would like most would be Mousse Arakiyama as I LOVE the fig note and the Moss based perfumes. Beach Geeza should be also very good for me as I LOVE also Orange!
I am Writing from Spain and I would like to win Beach Geeza!

  • Robert Larson says:

Thank you to Michelyn and Steven for artfully describing these fragrances in such a way that makes them all seem like an experience. My preference would be PDM Sedley with Grange and Jet Set as alternates. I live in Fishers, IN

  • minhnhatntk2 says:

Spring is approaching so nothing is better than Parfums De Marly Sedley. The citrus shines so brightly in the warm weather in March and April. I’m from Florida so Sedley will be just perfect. Thank you.

  • ilikecolognes says:

just got done watching stevens top 5 list. i have to say, all the fragrances sound amazing but the one that stood out to me the most was balmy days and sundays. even just that name spikes my interest. the way steven described it makes me REALLY want to try it and that bottle is beautiful and would loog so good in my little collection lol. im in new orleans. good luck to everyone in the giveaway!!!

  • Justin Benyola says:

Hello! Justin here writing from Florida, USA. First of all, this whole list is great. Spring is a time of transition, from colder weather to flowers blooming. I myself like to mirror that correlation between the semi cooler mornings/evenings with the warmer days. Perfumology Grange is a fragrance that sounds so unique and right up my ally. Lime and tobacco is such an interesting combination along with the fig, orange, and cedar. I would love to get my nose on this fragrance. Thank you so much for the giveaway and happy spring!

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

The way michelyn describes this makes sedley sound dreamy. Steven does a great job talking about performance I’d love to win sedley. I live in Indiana.

  • Gnossiennes says:

Thank you for introducing these interesting works!
Michelyn’s comments are concise yet inspiring. Steve’s video is nice as always. Just, through the video, I had the consistent fear that the fragrances could fall off from that small table. *lol*

Would love to try Perfumology Grange (evaluated by dear Ida, wow!)
Happy spring! Love from San Mateo, California.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

From this list I like 75 ml Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays because
I love Freesia, Honeysuckle, Rose, Mimosa. It is perfect for spring and summer.
    I am from EU

  • Amanda Hodge says:

I would love to win INeKE Balmy Days and Sundays! I loved how Stephen went into so much detail about each fragrance, listing a variety of adjectives to describe them! I love how Michelyn talked about the stories behind each fragrance. These are so unique! I’m in the USA

  • Love Pdm. Steven is always the best presenting frag. He’s simile gives always good vibes for spring scents, and that’s what frag world needs.
    US

  • Thank you all for exposing us to new fragrances and new ways of looking at & smelling them. I enjoyed the mention of incense and the idea that fruits and flowers go well with Spring fragrances
I would love to get my hands on parfum de marly sedley I live in Hawthorne CA

  • LovelyMouse says:

Based on Michelyn’s and Steven’s review, I was fascinated by the Beach Geeza’s Jet Set fragrance. The feeling of flying first class on a Pan Am plane, the feeling of endless freshness, cleanliness, luxury, the high cost of leather seats of this private jet — all this evokes emotions of delight in me. Some barbershop accord and marine notes reinforce the impression of this fragrance as something expensive and luxurious. I hasten to suggest that everyone would like to feel themselves in the chair of this aircraft. Steve conveyed his impressions of this fragrance very vividly, citrus notes are very bright and juicy, refreshing. I would like to win this perfume Jet Set by Ryan Hunts
    BR from EU (Germany)

  • Steve Fernandez says:

I would choose Perfumology Grange. When Steve said in his video that it’s a combination of Fig and Tobacco together I was in. I like what Michelyn said about Perfumology Grange

“After 12 hours the citrus and fig notes fade and the scent of green trees, woods and tobacco linger.”

    That sounds good to me.

  • Brea Robinson says:

We didn’t much of a winter her in the south but spring has definitely made its arrival. Steven and Michelyn both gave vivid imagery of the 5 stand out spring fragrances. I’m at the point in acquiring fragrances that are different, not just a similar scent profile to everything else on the market in different packaging. All five fragrances appear to be great contenders for that. As a lover of mint and citrus, Sedley would be my top choice of the 5. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Hello! I would love a back up bottle of Sedley and o try out that Jet Set fragrance. Sedley does amazing in the Florida heat and jet set seems it would be perfect too!

  • I am not familiar with three of the mentioned scents but found the reviews interesting. I do love PDM and have heard great things about Beech Geeza. Thanks to Steven for the video and to Michelyn for the written review. My first choice would be PDM Sedley, then the Beach Geeza. NJ, USA

  • Jeremy Upshaw says:

Yassou! Steven & Michelyn – great to see a bright, and budding list of sparkling green and fresh notes. Here in Oklahoma we are waking up from winter, and navigating the pungent funk of Bradford pear, Dogwood blossoms, and dead nettle – I’ve attempted to cut the sour, weedy, wind-blown pollen with Debaser by DS & Durga (which Is an exceptional scent by any stretch) however, it ages into a milky sweet on my skin that loves the cool spring air, but fusses with the hard edged grassland notes that envelope you as you hold your hat in the prevailing gusts.
What’s a man to do? Smoke a cigar on the front porch and contemplate the dilemma of course – and right off the bat – When Steven mentions the marriage of fig and tobacco in ‘Grange’, I think of the moist burly leaf, the sweet green fig, and the giant food dehydrator I live in (with all our funky blooms) and I say – “this is it guys… they’ve found the one.”

Thanks for the great lineup! With your direction I have a feeling that this Is going to be the best scent season to date!

  • Cameron Miller says:

I tried to comment once, but the site seemed to have had a weird glitch.

Steven’s description of Sedley has grabbed my interest. I didn’t know much about the scent beforehand, but knowing that it’s got an incense note (one of my absolute favorites) and a unique blend of lavender, mint, and citrus makes the scent all the more enticing.

Then for Michelyn’s review, when describing the Balmy Days scent, that description of wiggling your toes in a freshly mowed lawn on a beautiful day evokes such a unique spring/summery scent in my mind. Excellent and vivid as always.

I’d totally be interested in trying out Parfums de Marly Sedley! Greetings, and happy Spring from Ontario, Canada!

  • Thanks Michelyn and Steven for your reviews.

    Finally Spring is here.
    All those fragrances sound amazing.
As a person who likes longevity, I would like to have the opportunity if I win the giveaway, Beech Geeza Jet Set, for the performance and longevity. Neroli is an amazing ingredient that I enjoy.
If that one is not available, I think any fragrance on the list is a winner in my books.

    Thank you, from the USA

  • I enjoyed reading Michelyn’s review and watching Steven’s video about these unique fragrances for spring. I love fig and tobacco, so I would love to win a bottle of Grange by Perfumology. I live in PA, USA.

  • I really appreciate Steven video and introduction by Michelyn
    My favorites should I win
    Ineke balmy days
    Perfumology grange
I own sedley and ordered a sample of Mousse Arashiyama btw
    USA

  • I would love to win Mousse Arashiyama! I enjoyed seeing Michelyn and Steven’s different takes on these scents and their opinions on how to capture the essence of spring in a scent. Some are more floral, some more green or earthy, and some more aquatic, capturing the different facets of the growth and renewal of spring. I live in New York, USA, and am an Instagram subscriber!

  • Loved both reviews! Very interested in Parfums de Marly and Beech Geeza. Marly’s mint note and with incense and bergamot/lemon notes sounds lovely. Beech Geeza’s patchouli and amber with tobacco sounds like a fun experiment (not a big Mad Men fan myself, though).

I live in NYC, NYC, and follow on Instagram!

  • I’m a big fan of what Ryan Hunts is doing at Beach Geeza. I have 2 fragrances from the house, and they are amazing. Michelyn’s comment about the feeling of flying first class and Steven’s passionate review makes Jet Set a definite must try. I would love to get my hands on a bottle. Thanks so much for the reviews, from Derek in Canada.

  • When Michelyn said Perfumology Grange has a wet citrus note that merges with ripe figs, I knew this would be my pick. Steven’s comment that it was creamy and had a lactonic feel sealed the deal. I would love this for Spring. It would be lovely for a Sunday outdoor brunch. Thanks for the giveaway.

I follow Cafleurebon on IG. I’m in the USA.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

A great list by Michelyn and Steven. I currently own 2 of the 5 fragrances presented, Grange and Sedley. Both of these are at the top of my Spring rotation…love them both.
Each of the remaining 3 fragrances each seem to offer something special…
    Mousse Arashiyama = tranquility
Balmy Days and Sundays = relaxation
    Jet Set = Power
I’d enjoy adding any of these to my collection 🙂

I follow @cafleurebonoffical on IG. Thank you for another wonderful opportunity.
    PA, USA

  • Oh boy, Spring is a season I look forward a lot because I am a huge fan of Spring fragrances.
I loved both Michelyn commentary and Steven’s video.
I think that overall, these fragrances offer a departure from traditional spring scents and provide a unique olfactory experience. The commentary provides details about the inspiration and notes of each fragrance, as well as descriptions of the experiences they evoke.
I loved all the fragrances descriptions but I would love to win Parfums de Marley Sedley.
    I live in the U.S.

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

I enjoyed reading Michelyn’s review — I particularly liked the line about “wiggling your toes through a freshly mown lawn watching clouds float by in a bright blue sky”. I also liked watching Steven’s video review — it was very clear and helped me get a better image in my mind of what the fragrances smell like.

Since I adore a fig note, I am interested in Perfumology Grange and Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama; InEke Balmy Days and Sundays also peaks my interest since it sounds happy! From the reviews, I would say Mousse Arashiyama is my favorite — I am drawn to the idea of tranquility in a fragrance.

    From NJ, USA

  • Spring is the time of year to bring out the delicate green fragrances. As Michelyn notes, it’s the time for hope and renewal, which to me means fresh, verdant floral fragrances. Steve and Michelyn’s list is spot on. I love fig which is featured in both Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama and Perfumology Grange. Of the two, I’m leaning towards Mousse Arashiyama. MD, USA.

  • Would love to enter for Jet Set. I have kind of pictured Tom Cruise wearing it, sounds so badass with the winner’s attitude, the awesome note composition and being powerful and uplifting at the same time!
Michelyn and Steven provided us with such interesting material and descriptions to read again. Loved it!
    From the EU.
Have also followed you on Instagram.

  • It’s always nice to hear about “under the radar scents”, that may have been out for awhile but not gotten a lot of attention. I enjoyed Michelyn’s succinct descriptions of each scent, then hearing Steven elaborate a little more. I have wanted to try Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama forever, and spring seems the perfect time to do so. I also am intrigued by Beech Geeza Jet Set, maybe for my husband. Thanks for the draw.

  • Spring us such a great season, also the most unpredictable one if you ask me
Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama , green and calming bamboo forest in Japan
    Perfumology Grange
I like drinking tea , and I trust Ida Meister reviews , the reason I tried Perfumology fragrances after her 3 Best Perfumology essay. Grange is really nice, yet it’s sweet woody tobacco fragrance to me. I think I think Sudu Te is better suited for the Spring. The tropical fruits, mild woody base and the tea… it smells so good , I had to order a bottle.
Parfums de Marly Sedley , compliments are really important to me , and Sedley with its citruses, incense and lavender, for sure will both smell awesome, and also get me unsolicited compliments.
InEke Balmy Days and Sundays , green rose for the Spring
Beech Geeza Jet Set , just Wow at Michelyn power player like description of the fragrance .
I’ll be happy to win Parfums de Marly Sedley
    Exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • sillage4ever says:

So ready for spring and glad to get an unusual take on what properly counts as a spring fragrance, thank you. Already know I love the Ineke however I’m usually all about fig and the luscious descriptions of citrus and fig Grange is no exception. I’m in the USA and appreciate the opportunity to try some new fumes.

  • These all sound magnificent, but the standout description from both Steven and Michelyn is the one for Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama – fig based fragrances are my jam, and this one sounds so refreshing and soothing. Perfect for a quiet meditative moment where I can imagine myself “forest bathing”. It is also a gorg green, as Steven pointed out! Hello from the USA!

  • I have not tried Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama, but I do love forest bathing. Being in the forest is one of my favorite things, so the scent sounds beautiful. I love that Steven described it as being green in the opening but having an earthy base. Inception is one of my favorite movies, so it was interesting to hear Michelyn compare it to Perfumology Grange. I am definitely intrigued. Sedley sounds like a great fragrance for lovers of fresh fragrances. Ineke has some beautiful scents and Balmy Days and Sundays is perfect for spring with its stunning mimosa note. I have not tried Beech Geeza Jet Set, but it was interesting to read the inspiration. I am sure it’s a dapper fragrance, just like Don Draper.

Thank you Michelyn and Steven for the reviews, and thank you to the sponsors for the generous giveaways. I would love the opportunity to win either Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama or Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays. I am located in the USA. I follow Cafleurebon on IG and FB. 🙂

  • My pick is Grange. Love Steven and Michelyn’s review and the citrus opening that cools down to a tobacco fig. NY, USA

  • As a fan of incense and cedar notes, I’m interested in your choices for spring. The forest floor is reborn, with greenery in springtime, and I enjoy walking through it, especially after a rainfall. Steven mentioned fig & tobacco in Grange, that sounds unique for spring. If lucky, I’d choose Balmy Days and Sundays, Mousse Arashiyama, Grange or Jet Set. Thanks for your list and generous draw. Mich USA

  • Thanks for the reviews Michelyn and Steven!

I can completely relate to Michelyn’s intro about the stressfull and anxious times that we left behind us. There is still a lot of uncertainty, but as the days grow longer and the sun is appearing more and more often, my mood and mentality improving quickly.

Michelyn’s taste and mine often match with our love for Green and Natural perfumes. Mousse Arashiyama sounds stunning and I will have to try this out very soon!

Steven’s recommendation of Sedley is exactly what I would have chosen for a unique Spring fragrance. Powerfull, Fresh and with a unique twist of incense. Incredible fragrance!

I would love to try Ryan’s Jet Set! I love fresh Neroli and Orange fragrances and as I’m always in my suit, meeting people I am always looking for new professional scents.

I follow CaFleureBon on my ronaldjapenga IG account.

Michelyn’s and Steven’s Picks are definitely unique spring perfumes. I have all but 1 and that’s BALMY DAYS & SUNDAYS. This sounds so beautiful love the notes. Thank you for this.

  • O, hi thanks for the great giveaway. I think based on notes and Steves review I would be interested in either Ineke Ruhleng
Or Mousse Arashiyama Le Jardin Retrouve
    I am a subscriber and a follower of @cafleurebonofficial @redolessence

  • Spring is one of my favorite seasons as it is beginning a new life, new circle!
Liked Michelyn’s description, especially “freshly mown lawn watching clouds float by in a bright blue sky” for Ineke !
Liked Steven’s video and his detailed description of perfumes
Would like to win PdM Sedley, Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays.
    USA

  • Such great reviews by Steven of these ((5))) standout Spring season fragrances. I always enjoy his knowledge and ability to detail precisely fragrance’s notes and scent profiles. I would love to win a bottle of either Parfums de Marly Sedley or Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays. Also I am following @cafleurebonoffical from my Instagram @calicalnurse. Thanks for such an amazing and generous giveaway for your cafleurebon supporters! Greetings from the USA.

  • Lovely list of Spring fragrances I need to try.
Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama is like Michelyn said, The Scent of Tranquility coming from Japan
    Perfumology Grange
I’ve heard of Perfumology both on YouTube and on Cafleurebon . Never been there, or ordered from Nir , but all reviews and opinions about the store are positive.Clutch is my collection , received it as gift ~3 years ago.Clutch…is clutch – delivers every time , Grange should deliver too, leaning on the ripe fig , woods and tobacco.
Parfums de Marly Sedley sounds super good , and cozy , especially the fresh and fruity start , minty , lavender and the other aromatic notes .The transparent bottle looks super classy too
InEke Balmy Days and Sundays is green grassy floral in a bright blue sky day
Beech Geeza Jet Set , upscale fougere with leather, expensive French soap and tobacco
If lucky, I’d like to win Parfums de Marly Sedley
    Thanks for draw

  • An interesting fact that I read was that Ryan was inspired by John Hamm for Jet Set, this is a very unique and interesting fact. I dont watch mad man so I do not know him personally. Steven mentioned that Olivier Cresp did Angel for Women by Mugler, and while I’m not looking for a womens scent it does stand to show how talented the perfumer is. Steven apparentl loves all of these but I would like to choose PDM Sedley. Thank you. USA

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

Spring is a transition season that I enjoy greatly. As a Christian, this is an especially uplifting time of year…resurrection! I enjoyed Steven’s video as I always do. He paints the most vivid pictures with his words. Michelyn’s writeup is excellent here. Her encapsulation of Grange and Balmy Days and Sundays are poetic. If I were to win this giveaway, I’d choose PdM Sedley. I appreciate the generosity of PdM. Many blessings from Virginia, USA!

  • I’m so ready for spring! Of the fragrances reviewed, I’m instantly drawn to Le Jardin Retrouvé’s Mousse Arashiyama. Stephen really sells it with his description of how this fig-based perfume bridges the high and low notes, moving from citrus to fig to earthy vetiver. Michelyn makes InEke Balmy Days and Sundays speak to me of sunny early summer days to come, green grass and blue skies. I’m also curious about how the oud and musk play out in a green scent.
Of all the scents profiled, I’d most like to win Mousse Arashiyama if selected! Best wishes from the US.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I appreciate Steven’s description of each of the fragrances. I own and enjoy “Grange”, and even though I’d like to win a backup bottle of it, I’m interested in adding something new to me to my collection. I’d like to win “Sedley” even though I’m interested in some of the other ones too. I appreciate these five recommendations from Michelyn and Steven. I’ve been interested in trying “Mousse Arashiyama” for a while now, and I’m glad to know that it’s more of a fig-prominent fragrance than I had thought before. I live in the U.S.A.

  • This is a really nice selection of Spring fragrances. I really like the way Steven reviews/describes Parfums de Marly Sedley. I’ve only ever owned heavier/richer scents by PdM. It sounds so refreshing with the mint and citrus notes in the opening. I’d love to win Sedley.

    I live in the USA.

  • Steven snd Michelyn made a compelling case for all and I do love a Fig note… but in the end I’d really love to try Ineke, Balmy Days and Sunday is my wish if I’m so lucky as to win the generous give away.
Thank you Ineke, Cafluerebon, Steven snd Michelyn. In USA

  • I would love to try PdM Sedley! Michelyn gives us a good preview of what to expect while Steven does an excellent detailed breakdown. KY/USA

  • ☆ Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama freshly mown lawn scent
☆ Perfumology is one of the best places to buy fragrances in the States.Cardboard type of material instead of boxes for their own fragrances, so they can keep the price low, is a nice idea. I own Grange already
☆ Parfums de Marly Sedley I’ve smelled , fresh aromatic with combination of mint and fruitiness, and patchouli , we all love. I very much surprised Michelyn did not mention mint…
☆ InEke Balmy Days and Sundays is grassy floral with mimosa
☆ Beech Geeza Jet Set is for the rare occasion when I had to wear a suit
I’ll be happy to win Parfums de Marly Sedley
Appreciate Michelyn and Steven reviews, and the giveaway campaign

  • Great reviews; I think I got a better sense of what I might realistically smell like wearing these scents, with Michelyn’s. My choice is Grange by Perfumology because Nir is so terrific. Thank you, everyone!

  • Great reviews; I think I got a better sense of what I might realistically smell like wearing these scents, with Michelyn’s. My choice is Grange by Perfumology because Nir is so terrific. Big thanks to everyone. (U.S.)

  • hippononamus says:

Michelyn’s review of Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama evoking forest bathing sounded really appealing if it weren’t for the fig note. Definitely do not associate figs with Japan. That said, Steven’s emphasis on how unique the Sedley note combo is made that my choice if I were to win. I’m in the US and follow you all on IG.

  • Beach Geeza Jet Set would be my choice. Love how Steven raves about this fragrance and inspired by Jon Hamm… who doesn’t like anything he does. Whatever he touches these days are gold!

I also have Grange. Super underrated in my book. One of the best releases in the last few years.

Thanks I live in the USA.

  • Thank you for doing the giveaway, from Canada!
Spring is by far my favorite season, for too many reasons to even list. It is also when I usually bring out and switch up my fragrances and take inventory of what I still love after retesting. So it is a time to refresh my collection and take stock of my tastes again.
I appreciated Steven’s videos and this one clarifies a lot of the nuances and performance of the spring scents. Michelyn wrote an excellent description of the Balmy Days and Sundays and the imagery really has me sold on it. If I won my choice would be for INeKE Balmy Days and Sundays – sounds delightful.

  • Roger Currie says:

    Good Morning Steven:
I am new to fragrances but I am old to life. I am 58 and I have just started my interest in men’s fragrances.
For me the fragrance that would interest me would be Beach Geeza. It sounds like it is a little more unique than the others and that is me.
    Thanks for the videos.

I love the spread of fragrances laid out in this review! Steven’s energy and description while reviewing the fragrances was a treat. All of these fragrances sound great and I’d be happy with any of them. I’m in the US.

  • WaltherP99 says:

I’m always on the fence during this time of year, if I’d like the Spring to come, or I’d prefer the chilly Winter to be around for a bit longer. Do I like it, or not life will get warmer
As usual I’ll share my thoughts on the fragrances I know, or want to try, starting with the way Steven showed them in his video

Perfumology Grange , composed Justin Federico , with evaluator our great Ida Meister
Grange is VERY different on me , and on my girlfriend . On her it smells almost like the way Michelyn described it , cozy and sweet fig , with indeed lovely tobacco, but on me it’s ultra dry humidor tobacco, and cedar, with bare minimum of non-sweet fig leaves lurking in the background. The way Grange smells on me ,has nothing to do with Spring approachability , but it’s almost butch .Nir is just great ,I’ve been to Perfumology a couple of times , and I won all Grange , Blyss and Clutch.

Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama , composed by Maxence Moutte is green take on fig, with woody base.

Parfums de Marly Sedley , composed by Olivier Cresp is fresh aromatic – mint , bergamot, incense with hefty dose of ambroxan , and a boozy touch too.

InEke Balmy Days and Sundays , composed by Ineke Ruhland
Like most Cafleurebon reviewers, I really like most of InEke fragrances, predominately Evening Edged in Gold , Field Notes in Paris I even own , but unfortunately they don’t work well with my dry skin.

Beech Geeza Jet Set , composed by Ryan Hunts
I know all of Ryan fragrances, excluding Jet Set. Taking into consideration how awesome Cocoa Moon EDP , Coco Moon EDP and Bay Rum EDP are , plus Michelyn and Steven excitement, i think Jet Set is a fragrance for high rollers

I’d like to win Sedley by Parfums de Marly
    Just followed @lejardinretrouve @michel_gutsatz @clarafeder and @maxencemoutte, all other profiles I follow for a long time , plus @thatguyryanhunts , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot
    USA

  • Both reviews are succinct and loving, make each scent interesting and made it hard to choose a If I Win pick. I am only confused by Steven saying “Balmy Days and Mondays” and Michelyn writing “Balmy Days and Sundays.” Whichever it is, that would be my pick for the rhubarb note alone! I live in the USA

  • Great list for Spring! Jet Set stood out, because I have a sample that I’m rapidly depleting—I’ve been reaching for it weekly and it’s probably my favorite of the current Beach Geeza lineup. I’d like to try Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama, which sounds like a grounding, serene perfume. Also, I really enjoyed Michelyn’s a description of Perfumology Grange; I love the idea of olfactory memory inception captured in a fragrance. (Personal, nostalgic fragrance concepts are often the most interesting.) I liked how Steven compared Grange and Mousse Arashiyama to other fig perfumes, highlighting what makes these two different, and I agreed with his enthusiastic review of Jet Set.

I’m in the USA. I follow cafleurebonoffical on Instagram. I’d love to win any of these perfumes, but if I had to choose, I’d select the 50 ml of Jet Set. Thanks!

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice video Steven!

I am drawn to Mousse Arashiyama and Perfumology Grange because of their use of fig.in such interesting ways.

Jet Set is also one that appeals to me because of the use of Neroli with a shave soap kind of smell.

I would love to win Mousse Arashiyama, mainly because of its ability to capture the idea of forest bathing.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I welcome spring and like the lists with the standouts.
Would like to check Jet Set to set myself to fly first class 🙂
Thanks, I am in the EU.

  • All of these perfumes sound great but Perfumology Grange is really speaking to me. I like the way Michelyn described it as figs fading into woods and tobacco, since those are all notes I love. I also like how Steven described it as being unique and great for spring, since I’m definitely looking forward to the warmer weather! Grange is the perfume I’d like to win. I’m in MN, USA. I also follow @cafleurebonoffical @ra7chel.

  • MrSmellGood says:

I’m from Pennsylvania and we are finally starting to see some warmer days. I love how you both give such a background for a memory or how you could feel while wearing each fragrance. I know I am very excited to start wearing my spring fragrances! They all sound amazing but my choice would be PDM Sedley or Jet set

  • Dproductive1 says:

As always, both Steven and Michelyn described the fragrances in a way that made me want to experience them. Specifically though, Michelyn has made me research forest bathing, and Steven introduced me to the fragrance that has fig and tobacco ( very interesting combo) and its sold in my city!

  • IvanVelikov says:

Some impressive fragrances in the 2023 Unique Spring fragrances
Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama i guess is how Japan countryside smells in the Spring
Juicy fig fragrance, also woody , with sweet tobacco, Grange sounds very nice.
Parfums de Marly Sedley , fragrance with a character. Vetiver ,citruses , lavender with woody notes and some patchouli in the base = suitable for most high-end occasions fragrance. Since I have a sample, incense is not something I smell in Sedley , but lots of lavender I do.
InEke Balmy Days and Sundays makes you feel like a kid again
    Beech Geeza Jet Set
I like Ryan Hunts , like him i like to work with clients, who also for originality, Ryan is making bespoke fragrances, and i make bespoke suits
If i have to choose one , it would be Jet Set
Thank you Michelyn, Steven and all the sponsors
    USA

  • It’s so cold, and windy last 2 weeks, I’m even sitting in front of a fireplace at the moment. I guess it’s warmer in New York , because Spring in not here yet.
    Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama
Arashiyama inspired fragrance? Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is a trip I will never forget. In the Arashiyama district, you will find the mesmerising and seemingly endless Arashiyama bamboo grove, showcased in the famous movie “Memoirs of a Geisha”. The walkway starts from the Tenryu-ji Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and ends at the sublime Okochi-Sanso Villa, wrapped by tranquil emerald green gardens. The grove itself is a world unto its own, and strolling amidst the towering bamboo stalks is a must-experience in Kyoto.
Happy owner of Grange , and i also know Clutch well – i bought a sample , with my bottle of Grange . Shipping was super fast , i’m happy with Perfumology service .To me Clutch is a colder weather fragrance , Grange i wear all year round , juiciness of the fig and the tobacco do work great together.
Parfums de Marly Sedley is fresh, juicy incense and at least I perceive mastic smell, like Ouzo Lemonade Cocktail, with fresh mint.
    Beech Geeza Jet Set
Coco Moon equals Piña Colada in a bottle , Jet Set is a Lady Boss in a bottle
I’d love to win Parfums de Marly Sedley
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • Phillip_Barkley says:

    Greetings everyone
From the underated gems recommendations from Ms Camen, and Mr Gavrielatos , the only fragrance I know is Sedley from Parfums de Marly.
I’ll make sure to try the other 3/4 fragrances. Unfortunately it will be next to impossible to try Grange , even through it sounds great , because Perfumology fragrances are not available in France , and
international shipping is not available .
Sedley is so underrated, mouthwatering juicy – tart , some incense and sandalwood drydown.
Jet Set picked up my interest right away, sophisticated French fougere . If one spray allows me to flight 1st class, I’m in , Jet Set would be great
Thank you, American living in Paris France

  • sephrenia300 says:

Great article! I thought Steven’s review was so insightful and thorough particularly how he described Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama as having a recurring green motif that bridges the bright and sparling green fruity opening with the earthy vetiver in the base. I really enjoy green fragrances but most are generally concentratedly green only in the opening. Well balanced green fragrances with green from top to bottom in different facets are to be coveted for sure so i very much appreciate the recommendation.

I really loved Michelyn’s reviews particularly learning that Beech Geeza Jet Set was inspired by the perfumer’s meeting with actor John Hamm. I’m a huge fan of Mad Men and learning that the fragrance’s sophisticated yet vibrant ruggedness with elegant green French Fougère elements and rich Patchouli and Ambergris was meant to embody his enigmatic character makes me very interested in trying it.
I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical so my comment can count twice. My Insta name is momo.liu.121 and I live in the US. If I were to win I would choose Parfums de Marly Sedley.

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven and Michelyn’s reviews on the 5 best fragrances for Spring Fragrances for 2023. The only fragrance I’ve tried on the list is Parfums De Marly Sedley which is a beautiful fresh citrus and aromatic fragrance. I’ve heard great things about Grange, but the other 3 fragrances I’m not very familiar with. Balmy Days and Sundays and Mousse Arashiyama sound really unique and captivating for the spring. I’m following @cafleurebonoffical at @michaelprincefragrance I am from the USA and if I win I would choose Perfumology Grange, Le Jardin Retrovue Mousse Arashiyama, Beach Geeza Jet Set, Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays, and Parfums De Marly Sedley.

  • Love these choices for spring and I would like to win ineke balmy days and Sunday’s,Perfumology grange and Jardin Retrouve mousse Arashiyama based on the written and video reviews
    USA

  • I loved this unique lineup of fragrances you all chose, impossible to pick one since spring style scents with neroli, citrus and greenery spark warm memories ..Wonderful! My personal favorite fragrance sounds like jet set by beach geeza. I love the way Michelyn speaks about the way it transitions from neroli and sweet orange, with fougere green elements and clean french soapiness that will then dry down to something with more density like (patchouli+ambergris) leather and greenish tobacco notes. That to me sounds captivating and bold. having lots of memories smelling “agua de colonia” (orange blossom cologne) is the smell of my childhood. It reminds me of my grandfather who passed away at 98 years old this year on the first of this month. I miss him dearly, he was like a second father to me. He has always smelled like orange blossoms in the morning since that’s what you traditionally sprtiz on after a nice shower to freshen up, and in the afternoon he would spray on fragrances like polo green or black. That’s his favorite. “Anything with the horse on it” as a true rancher like him would say to me but in Spanish. I attribute my love of fougeres, soapy clean smells and the smell of citruses to him. Steven was saying how it had a big blast of citrus and the and his passion for it makes me eager to see how it blossoms off the skin. 12+ hours sign me up! I love big and bold. Thank you to both of you for your reviews on fragrances I haven’t caught wind of properly yet. Love to always learn more! May many more blessings come to you and to your readers.
