Steven ALWAYS offers a well-research perspective. He’s careful with his words and does not promote fragrances for “likes”. I will always value and be receptive to his opinion.

  • The takeaway from Steve’s review: This is one for those that like a gourmand level sweetness to their scents. An overtly sweet, saccharin-level pineapple, with a non-milky-coconut-vanilla that has a very subtle oud presence, a hint of musk and leather with an emphasis on agarwood; it gives tropical but has a longevity, making it versatile enough that it could be a year-round wear. Oud Sapparot is fun and lighthearted.

  • I’ve been interested in more pineapple fragrances, so Steven’s YouTube video on Montale Oud Sapparot really piqued my interest. I’m glad to know this can be worn in the winter. This wasn’t on my radar until he mentioned it. I’ve heard there is a lot of smoky notes leaning masculine so as a female I would need to sample first to see if I like it.

  • Steven said this is a versatile tropical fruit fragrance and that sounds good to me. Pineapple is a lovely scent and I love the yellow bottle! I’m in the USA

I can not wait to try this! My favorite so far of this brand is Oudmaxing! Such an amazing perfume with great performance!!

ÇaFleureBon does a great job updating its reader when a new product comes on the market. Montale Oud Sapparot scent profile sound so delicious, Thai Pineapple, Cambodian Oud, Indian Saffron, Dark Leather, Smoky Silver Birch, Ceylon Cinnamon, Coconut, Sweet Vanilla, White Musks. The image that comes to mind is a upside down pineapple cake!

  • fragsandfeels says:

I like that he noted the scent has more saffron than birch, and that despite having oud in the name, it is not very oud-forward. My faborire Montale is Dark Aoud. It’s so sweet and ambery and woody.

  • Erin Wilson says:

I am intrigued about a light oud! Usually oud is always heavy and dark. Super different sounding!

  • Ramses Perez says:

My favorite Móntale is still Arabians Tonka with Intense Cafe being a close second. I think this bottle speaks for itself on what the fragrance you will encounter inside is, yellow like pineapple. I am noticing Móntale is also coming up with more adventurous and creative new ideas for their fragrances and I really appreciate that. Love how Steven described it as sugary pineapple to differentiate it from all the other big pineapple scents. This is a straight up coconut and pineapple sweet scent and that’s exactly what summer asks for. A great observation as well that you can wear it all year long as we buy fragrances for all year and not just one season. Many thanks to Twisted Lilly for the amazing giveaway! I follow cafleurebonofficial on IG and my handle is Ramses.d.perez. I’m located in the USA.

  • I like the idea it might be an overripe sweet pineapple and tropical scent. I have no Montale favorite. US

  • I love that Steven stressed the versatility of Oud Sapporot. I also loved that this is a playful fragrance. I’m very excited to smell this scent. It has intrigued me since I heard about it.

  • Catherine Apicella says:

From Steven’s YouTube review of Montale’s Oud Sapparot, I enjoyed his clarification regarding the notes in this scent. I liked the overall reference to the fragrance being tropical as well as its very long-lasting endurance. Oud Sapparot has a fun vibe, wearable throughout all seasons!

  • Steven’s review of the new Montale fragrance was very comprehensive and allowed the viewer get an overall sense of what they’ll experience from the Parfum. Moreover, his well thought out description paints the picture of the essence of the fragrance and doesn’t leave you with any lingering questions. Overall, the review was a great summary and hit all of the important fragrance details for the viewer.

Love Steve’s videos. He can explain a fragrance like no other. How he describes the scent makes me want to try everything he reviews.

  • Always appreciate Steven’s honest reviews. One of the few fragrance YouTubers I feel like I can trust to not be a salesperson to me. I wasn’t aware that Thai pineapple was a distinct scent from the typical pineapple. My favorite has always been tropical leaning, so I’m this will be something on my radar to try out. USA

  • I really enjoyed how Steven broke down the balance of the pineapple note with the oud in his review. He made it clear that the fragrance is bold yet surprisingly wearable. His explanation of the longevity and projection was also really helpful in understanding what to expect. My favorite Montale fragrance so far is Intense Café. I love its rich coffee and rose blend.

Have loved all of Steven’s recommendations and I am sure I will love this one as well. Can’t wait to try it on.

  • As a new fragrance devotee, I would love to smell this combination! Pineapple, coconut then oud…and sweet, he said! One of my first purchases was the pineapple fragrance Rave Now. On my second bottle;-).

My favorite Montale fragrances are Instant Crush and Cosmic Pepper. I enjoy fragrances that speak up! lol

Thank you for this opportunity! Gives us something to hope for and think about.

  • Finally a pineapple dominant fragrance from Montale. Vanilla musc and birch combination is up my valley. I am happy that Steven mentioned this not heavy and not too oudy. Slso Steven answered the question that came to my mind, is this close to aventus and hacivat? Thankfully it is not. Thank you for the opportunity to win a bottle.

  • I love that Michelyn mentions there is just a touch of oud. The bottle is my favorite color!! The yellow is showing off the playfulness. . I love a pineapple for the winter time. Thanks for the chance. My favorite Montale is Patchouli Leaves. USA.

  • LeSchnozzle says:

Great review as always from Steven. Quite interesting that Steven believes it would be a tropically, sweet fragrance that could be worn in the fall. I’m a sucker for pineapple so I may need to heed the advice given and try this.

  • Steven provides a true review all the time. I trust him to give me his real thoughts and not just sell the product. I love his reviews.

  • reyessence89 says:

I like that Steven describes accurately the perfume in an unbiased way, and he lets the viewer make the final decision on the perfume. In other words, just the facts.

  • Most pineapple based scents I’ve tried are uninteresting and marketed towards juveniles. Oud Sapparot seems more daring, complex and elegant with the dark, smoky spices, oud and leather supporting the fruity pineapple. Steven notes the emphasis on oud and the sweetness the pineapple brings to the composition. Favorite Montale is Roses Musk. MD, USA

  • I love how comprehensive Steven’s descriptions are. I loved the arabian tonka montale as it projects just as much as I hope this new release does!

  • The oud is a compelling way to tone down the summery vibes and tropical “saccharine sweetness” of the opening pineapple and coconut, though it sounds like Oud Sapparo is still very sweet. Michelyn describes it as “a hint of oud”, and Steven mentioned most of the contrasting notes are subtle, with the pineapple out in front belting a loud solo. “Very fun, playful, and lighthearted, with a slight emphasis on the agarwood—receded to the background.” The overripe quality of the pineapple note would be a lot of fun on a summer evening out.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Montale fragrances.

  • I love Steven’s reviews. He described this as tropical and versatile. It’s important for me to get an idea of how a fragrance smells the vibe of the scent and the season. It gives me a good idea of if a fragrance might work for me. He’s always very honest as well even describing the pineapple in Oud Sapparot as very sweet and a little artificial. I love pineapple, coconut and vanilla fragrances so this sounds like one I would enjoy. I appreciate his honesty and how thorough his reviews are. I’m in the USA

  • HighClassSis19 says:

I am so very curious about this fragrance… I am an avid pineapple lover, but unfortunately I have not had the best experiences with actual pineapple-note-featured fragrances. This one sounds like it could be the one though! The “sugared pineapple, with coconut and cinnamon “ should be scrumptious! Steven’s descriptions and visuals lend themselves to being spot-on. I would absolutely love to receive this fragrance!

  • Sweet, smoky, and lasting. Stephen’s review shows that Montalle has done something different with this scent profile that can come off aventus like. But has a more gourmand yet tropical feel to it. Thank you for the showcase.

  • I always appreciate how through Steven is with his descriptions of the scents. It’s almost like I can smell the coconut lingering with juicy Pineapple, just enough oud to add a little depth. I would love to try this new release as I have not yet had the opportunity to smell others from the house. Thanks from US.

  • Mark Keating says:

Steven does a wonderful job of bringing the scent to life. I can almost taste the pineapple and coconut as he’s describing the profile. The uniqueness of this pineapple note is intriguing. I also appreciate the versatility aspect and am eager to learn more.
As a fan of Montale, my favorite to date is Fougeres Marine.

I love that the opening of Oud Sapparot is sweet with overripe pineapple and coconut. It’s a tropical-leaning fragrance, with just a hint of spice and a bit of oud in the background. Steven said because of its longevity, it can be worn all year round, but maybe not to a formal event. I think I would wear this in any season, on a day that needs a little fun.

    Thanks for the review Steven!

My first Montale was Wild Aoud, I think that’s the name.

Oud Sapparat sounds like a tropical dessert by a campfire.
