Montale Beast Love Review (2024) + A Unisexy Giveaway

Montale Beast Love

Montale Beast Love via Twisted Lily Instagram

The first thing you may think with “Beast” in the name are fragrances like Intense Café or Black Aoud. Beast Love has “beast mode longevity” but a very different scent profile. It opens with a sparkling pear note alongside a juicy plum that doesn’t dominate nor are too sweet. The smooth leather in the heart is complemented by the earthiness of vetiver. Most of the sweetness is from vanilla and amber in the dry down. Beast Love is a great transition perfume from Summer into Fall with fruity, amber, vanilla, and earthy facets with an intriguing musk that bridges the seasons. Montale Beast Love has the sillage the brand is known for and can be worn during the day, for evening and for work and is definitely unisex.  -Michelyn and Steven

Top: Juicy Pear. Sweet Plum, Sicilian bergamot; Heart: Black Leather, White Cedar, Haitian Vetiver, Turkish Rose; Base: Vanilla, Tonka Beans, Musk, Ambers

Disclosure: Montale Beast Mode was gifted for  Steven’s video, and opinions are his own

I love the ombré style of the Montale bottles. We are at that point where we are transitioning from Summer to Fall so this is a perfect transitional fragrance according to Michelyn. We love Twisted Lilly and thanks to them for sponsoring the giveaway! Beast Love is truly how I would describe any Montale fragrances, they’re lovely and beast mode. I happen to love sweet fragrances so this is right up my alley. Pear and plum are also excellent summer notes so I see how it begins fruity (summer) and then develops to an ambery scent (fall). This is a lovely new release. Cheers from the USA.

I’ma Mancera and Montale kinda guy. I only own to montales but wood & spices and dark aoud both made quite an impression on me. This is no exception from simply looking at it. The purple and gold gradient remind me of my alma mater ECU and a purple haze sunset. Beast Love is a unique moniker and I’m sure the title is fitting. I imagine a sweet ambery woody cocktail that finishes smooth and refined. This will be nice in the fall or any time of the year. Steven confirmed it’s kinda dense and a heavier wear. Even though I love oud this is a pleasant break and a welcomed addition to the fragrance world. Would like to enter to win from Jacksonville, NC.

I love a fragrance combination of fruits and leather with beast longevity, I’ll definitely try this asap.

  • I always like watching Steven’s review. When I first saw the notes my mind went straight to the plum note and it is interesting how Steven mentioned Plum in Cognac since that’s exactly what I was comparing this scent to.
I would love to try it and see how it compares to other fragrances that I have and love.

  • I enjoy Steven review of fragrances. He shows a passion discussing the different aspect of the scent. I own intense cafe and honey pie. I’m looking forward to had a few more to my collection, beast love would be great

  • I’m interested in Montale because of my wife owning Roses Musk. Love that scent on her. This has me intrigued to smell this one on her. Me personally, I have no Montale’s in the collection as of yet but soon will change. Will definitely be doing more research to add to my collection that’s ever growing.

  • Following Steve’s you tube review of Montale’s beast love, I am literally giddy to try this scent. His description of the dense notes combined with the remnant of sweetness from the vanilla dry down are what got me hooked. Until now Montale’s Paris Lucky Candy has hit the note for me….but I think Steve may have changed my mind!

  • AromaDulce73 says:

This sounds nice. A plum & pear combination screams summer all day long. My favorite Montale at the moment would be Arabian Tonka.

Steven mentioned that the opening isn’t as sweet as we would think it would be based on the top notes. It seems like the sweetness in this fragrance comes through at the dry down which is interesting. I like how Steven mentions to sample which I will do if I don’t wind up winning this giveaway.

  • I just had to share how excited I am about Montale’s new fragrance! The combination of peach, plum, florar, and leather sounds absolutely stunning and perfect for fall. I’m really looking forward to experiencing this fresh cologne, it seems like a fantastic addition to my collection. As a huge fan of Montale’s creations, especially Intense Café with its rich nutty and coffee notes, I’m eager to see how this new scent complements my love for unique fragrances. I also wanted to mention that I’ve reviewed literally all of Redolessence’s videos about Dossier perfumes, just to see how closely they match the originals. I absolutely enjoyed every single one of them. thanks

I enjoyed Steven’s YouTube review of Montale Beast Love for its insightful analysis of the fragrance’s bold, captivating notes and its detailed breakdown of its longevity and projection. As for Montale perfumes, my favorite is Black Aoud. It’s an exquisite blend of deep oud and rich rose, creating a sophisticated and unforgettable scent experience.

  • Montale is a Great Fragrance house. The bottle tells me it’s a mix kind of fragrance. The notes for Beast Love are definitely perfect for Summer/Fall . It’s a nice transition. My recent Fragrance is Wild Pears. Thank you for this chance USA

  • I absolutely love a good plum note but also amber and vanilla, which Steven mentions is the base that hangs around the longest. I own Intense Cafe and Chocolate Greedy, I’ve wanted to try more but haven’t had the opportunity yet. I would love to try this.

Interesting that Steven says the sweetness happens in the drydown. I think I’m used to that sweetness up top and then fading. He also says the fragrance is more amber and vanilla with 20% earth which sounds like a great ratio to me. I also love that Steven feels that it is unique because my first thought when I hear plum is Plum Japonais. I also love those scents that transition from summer to fall. I’m always looking forward to fall scents but wanting to hang on to summer weather. I think my favorite Montale fragrance is Oudmazing! Thank you for the draw, from the US.

  • Wha I love about his videos (all of them) is his ability to be spot on with his description of the fragrance. He is one of the few I know I can trust in his reviews. Thank you. My favorite by Montale is AOUD CUIR D’ARABIE

At the beginning I thought this release was going to be more a plumb fragrance which I was mildly excited about because I loved Paragon as my first introduction to a plumb not but not enough to buy it. But the more I listed to the review, the sweetness of the dry down with the vanilla, amber and musk sounded even more intriguing. I am not familiar with Montale at all to so I would have been ok skipping it but I liked the label as a “must sample” considering I like darker scents and me not being familiar with this brand. Ive become a bit of a nich snob so I sorta skipped Montale and Mancera but admittedly I have liked some recent Man era’s I’ve smelled so this might serve as my reminder to give them a try.

After watching Steven’s video I have a comprehensive understanding about Beast Love. Very much looking forward to getting my nose on this. My favorite Montale is Arabian’s Tonka

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

Redolessence subscriber here. I love a plum vanilla combo and this one may just steal my heart. Intense Cafe may be my favorite Montale.i love when Steven really enjoys a fragrance and can have fun in his videos, a great review! Thank you for the opportunity to win! I live in Oregon.

  • jessica.rauch says:

I love watching Steven’s reviews! I love the combo of fruit and the vanilla dry down in Beast Love. Great end of summer scent! My favorite Montale perfume so far is Lucky Candy!

  • Never really had a plum fragrance so this is really unique for me personally. Have had some experience with some Montale fragrance’s and glad to see the longevity branches through. Like the notes that I’m seeing and Steven did a captivating job reviewing this fragrance and explaining the notes, and some solid advice against blind buying (especially for niche fragrances). My favorite fragrance from Montale current is either between instant crush or arabians tonka, two very different fragrances for different occasions so hard to choose one in particular.

  • Steven’s take on Beast Love and Michelyn introduction reminded me of making , and later on eating Upside-down Plum Cake, drinking Pear Juice ,while on a picnic in the woods. Sunny day , good mood , the sweetness from the cake all combined is how I imagine Beast Love would smell.
My favorite Montale is Dark Purple.
Appreciate the the introduction, the review , and the giveaway campaign

  • I love Steven’s reviews. He is so honest and straightforward. He described this scent so perfectly and it sounds like something that would fit so well in my perfume collection. It’s not beast mode but still has beautiful longevity. That ambery, vanilla musk base sounds so pretty. And I like that he feels it leans more towards colder weather – those are my favorite type fragrances from Montale And the fact is smells unisex is perfect because I can share it with my boyfriend. It really sounds like a winner!

    I live in the USA.

  • Montale Beast Mode sounds like a great summer to fall fragrance with delicate fruit and an earthy rose leather heart. The vanilla amber base seems to add some sweetness. Love the Montale bottle with the ombré gold and purple design. Favorite Montale perfume is Intense Cafe. MD. USA.

  • joetelegram says:

My favorite it Montale’s Black Oud. Love the rose and oud together in this one.

Montale Beast Love offers a captivating blend of juicy pear, smooth leather, and warm vanilla, making it a perfect fragrance to transition from summer to fall. With its signature sillage and unisex appeal, this perfume can be enjoyed both day and night, bridging the seasons with its balanced, intriguing scent profile. Thanks Steven!

  • Not too sweet is key for me. I love the 80% amber vanilla as the base and the fruit not being the sweet element, which tends to go high on me and overwhelm with cloy. A new plum for the Autumn, as Steven says, would be great! an earthy element would definitely give this a different spin, which is also cool, and not being heavy is also fantastic, as I’m not a huge fan of strong, aggressive ouds! Lucky Candy is my favorite Montale so far, but it does indeed lean sweet on me.

  • Like Steven and Michelyn pointed out in their introduction, Montale Beast Love sounds like a more carefree beast mode fragrance, with a fruity-amber profile that sounds easy to enjoy. Steven clarified that despite the pear and plum notes suggesting otherwise, Beast Love doesn’t read as a sweet gourmand; the earthiness adds some complexity. The vanilla, amber, and musk base sounds like the star of the show. Plus, fun bottle! I haven’t tried any Montale perfumes.

    I’m in the USA.

A longtime sub of Redolessence, I love Steven and his channel. His reviews are very in depth and he’s very genuine. This fragrance sounds really unique which is right up my alley, and montale’s and mancera’s thing, they make a lot of great unique fragrances that work and are beast mode when it comes to performance they are 2 of my favorite niche brands. I’d like to thank Steven at redolessence for the awesome content and for pointing me in the direction of this great site and giveaway. I’d also like to thank Michelyn and everyone at Cafleurebon for their generosity and hard work, and last but most certainly not least montale for their generosity and diversity amd for their fantastic perfumery. Thank you all so much for this opportunity to win such an amazing artistic and beautiful fragrance. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • Montale fragrances are favorites of mine for reasons Redolessence and Michelyn Camen mentioned “beast mode longevity” , projection and vast variety of different fragrances to choose from.
What really grabbed me in Beast Love is the smooth leather complimented by some earthiness, juicy plum and ambery and vanilic character of the fragrance.
I’m keen on enjoying my time with comfortable and intriguing fragrances , Beast Love sounds great
Ristretto Intense Cafe and Honey Aoud are my favorites from Montale
Thanks for the draw, from the USA

  • I am not sure I want to hear about a fragrances to transition from summer to fall since I work in education. Not ready for summer to end! Every fragrance I smelled from this line has been strong. I love that the opening isn’t too sweet. I have to agree with Steven that Twisted Lily is a great retailer to do business with. . I love Montale, but have only purchased decants as they are strong and a little goes a long way. My favorite is Patchouli Leaves. Thanks for the opportunity. USA.

  • Having tried their sister house Mancera, I am very intrigued by what Montale has to offer. The notes of this sound very interesting, especially considering the timing of the release. A fruity opening with an amber-y dry down describes a nice transitional scent from summer to fall.
I don’t have a favorite Montale fragrance since I haven’t gotten around to smelling any, but Arabians Tonka is high up on my list of Montale fragrances I want to sample.
    Greetings from CA, USA

  • Beast Love surprised me, elegant, versatile fragrance I need to know. I like how the is opens up more fresh and juicy-fruity, but ends up with amber, vanilla and leather. Comforting beauty with an edge I’d love to win.
Every time I think about Montale I think about top performance. Vanilla Cake lasts forever on me , Sensual Instinct is even stronger my two favorites. Sensual Instinct I bought because of Sebastian contribution ~ 5 years ago , time passes very quickly on Cafleurebon 😉
    Thanks for the draw

Montale is a house with vast amount of loyal followers , for a good reason I believe. If you’re looking for powerhouse fragrances, Montale can offer a great variety. I own Chocolate Greedy , Honey Aoud and my favorite Intense Cafe.
So Beast Love is different , more calmed down velvety leather , with musk , amber and plum in the opening . Three Piece Mauve Purple Wool Suit and Beast Love would be a match made in Heaven
Thank you Michelyn, Steven, Twisted Lilly

Getting compliments is important to me, and one of the reasons to get, or not certain fragrance. One thing is for certain, Montale fragrances do get me lots of positive attention, at least in my surroundings . All their fragrances i know, are also quite powerful, projecting for hours.
Even if the opening is a playful and fruity , Beast Love is not a childish fragrance by any means. The Summer to Fall versatility together with the plum, leather, and vetiver is what makes the scent so appealing to me.
My favorite Montale is Sensual Instinct, but the one that gets me most compliments is Wild Pears.
    Exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Michelyn and Steven reviews are spot on, to me Beast Love is softer than Intense Cafe and especially Black Aoud. Like Michelyn pointed out smooth delicious fruits, going into amber and buttery leather is what I also get.
Where my opinion ever slightly differ is the plum , thankfully on my skin, since it’s one of my favorite notes the plum in Beast Love is easy to detect even in the drydown.
Montale is one of my favorite houses – atm i do own 19 bottles. Not sure about my favorite one , it depends on the mood I’m in, Dark Purple maybe.
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • Beast Love may not be overly strong like BlackAoud , but it’s quite versatile, I can wear it on business meetings, walks in the park with my daughter, children’s birthday parties or weddings , basically all occasions all year round. I’m interested in the ripe fruits, comfy leather, vanilla and musk.
Chocolate Greedy , Oudmazing and Vanilla Extasy are in my collection , equally as good delicious fragrances.
Cheers with Pinot Grigio Sangria , and thank you for the opportunity

  • Yes, I am in for a giveaway! I am not familiar with this fragrance but admire Montale’s work. Additionally if Steven recommends it, it definitely worth trying. With respect, loyal Cafleurebon reader from USA
