Creative Directors Alessandro Brun and Riccardo Tedeschi
Creative directors Alessandro Brun and Riccardo Tedeshi of Masque Milano are inspired by their native Italy and global culture. Their vision of perfumery has always been to honor the perfumers who create their "Operas". The upcoming release Masque Milano Kintusgi composed by Vanina Muracciole sends a stong message… with “scars you are beautiful”.
Kintsugi pottery via Wiki
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by filling the cracks with with gold or precious metal. It is also the philosophy that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful. Masque Milano Kintsugi is a scented message to “Be Strong. Mend broken bonds with Gold.”
“Spring has finally arrived. The fresh air conveys energy and arouses mankind from winter lethargy. Under the magnolia tree, the potter is repairing a broken vase, using an ancient technique. Kintsukuroi – golden repair. The garden is peaceful, chirruping birds are not disturbing the craftwork, as they are part of the scene. The master did not want to lose the old vase. He said it was useful. Broken, not bent, but not hopelessly lost. On the wall, besides the rose bush, an old carved stone slab says:“Cherish the simple. Cherish the old. Do not hide your scars, show them with pride.”
