M. Micallef Hypnotic Musk (Thierry Romeo) 2025 + A Sensual Giveaway

Hypnotic Musk M Micallef

M. Micallef Hypnotic Musk by Olya Bar

Attention, musk lovers—there’s a new obsession in town, and it’s dangerously sensual. M. Micallef has mastered the art of musk, and if you thought Royal Muska was the pinnacle of feminine allure, think again. While Royal Muska drapes you in powdery elegance, the latest addition to the Jewel Collection—Hypnotic Musk—turns up the sensuality to full volume.

Raspberry perfume

This fragrance is dripping with ripe, juicy decadence—berries, fruits, and florals bursting at their peak, swirling around a hypnotic musk core. From the first spritz, I was hooked. In fact, I could have sworn there was a lush, sun-drenched peach at its heart, only to realize it’s not even in the composition. Yet, the illusion lingers—a phantom note of the overripe fruit teasing the senses.

M. Micallef keeps delivering gem after gem, each one a new chapter, never a repeat. Hypnotic Musk is no exception—it’s a statement of seduction, a fragrance that refuses to go unnoticed. The opening hits with a jammy, mouthwatering burst of sweet raspberry—ripe, syrupy, and utterly addictive. But just as it threatens to go full sugar rush, a refined iris and violet duo steps in, smoothing out the tartness with a velvety, powdery touch. A hint of ginger flickers through, not sharp or brash, but a subtle, fragrant whisper that adds just enough spice to keep things interesting.

If you’ve followed my reviews, you know I have a soft spot for lychee—and it’s been having a well-deserved moment these past couple of years. Here, it’s luminous, juicy, and almost effervescent, adding a playful contrast to the depth of the composition. And then there’s another note we have been seeing in many of the recent gourmand editions—the whole thing is drenched in molten caramel, like liquid gold weaving through the notes, making Hypnotic Musk as indulgent as it is irresistible. The dry down is worthy of the name—a creamy swirl of sandalwood, a whisper of salty ambergris, a swirl of vanilla that clings to the skin like the memory of a touch, and a warm, downy musk that lingers long after the moment has passed.

But let’s talk about that musk for a second—it has presence. It’s the scent of freshly laundered sheets, still warm from the dryer, wrapping around you in a cocoon of comfort. Familiar, yet undeniably addictive. Soft, yet charged with something mesmeric. The kind of scent you keep coming back to, without even realizing you’ve already fallen under its sweet spell. Launched just weeks before Valentine’s Day, Hypnotic Musk is here to steal hearts—and maybe break a few.

Notes: Raspberry, Bergamot, Iris; Caramel, Violet, Ginger, Lychee; Sandalwood, Ambergris, Vanilla and Musk.

Disclaimer: The bottle of M Micallef Hypnotic Poison was kindly gifted to me but opinions are always my own.

  • Sounds absolutely intoxicating! The way Olya describes the raspberry and caramel intertwining with musk makes this fragrance feel like pure seduction in a bottle. M. Micallef has a way of crafting perfumes that linger not just on the skin, but in memory, this one sounds like it will be impossible to forget. I like Ananda

  • Hypnotic Musk by Micallef sounds mouthwatering and comforting with raspberries, musc and caramel. Beautiful review. I live in EU.

  • thatgirl_kim__ says:

Literally everything about this Olay’s review has me needing to get my nose on this fragrance. I was already intrigued by the fragrance notes and the beautiful bottle but the descriptions and feelings that this review evoked has me ready to risk it all for a taste of this mouthwatering offering from M. Miscallef.
I don’t yet have a favorite perfume from the brand but I can see this one quickly filling the slot.

  • The latest entry from the jewel collection, Hypnotic Musk is the sensual counterpart to the demure, Royal Muska. From an opening of a syrupy sweet raspberry, a combo of violet and iris that tempers the sugary sweetness with a powdery element; a sparkling, juicy lychee imbues a playful quality while a delicate ginger note gives it a subtle hint of spiciness. The addition of caramel adds another layer of decadence. As it dries down a creamy sandalwood, a hint of ambergris and vanilla and musk, the standout note, smolders.

This scent delights–from the decadent fruitiness to the scrumptious florals that surrounds a musk note that mesmerizes. For Olya there is an illusion of an overripe fruit that is reminiscence of a peach that is lush and succulent–this is a scent that will ensnare the wearer and leave others wanting more.

Hypnotic Musk by M.Micallef is more than just a fragrance—it’s a statement of sensuality and boldness, designed for the young, modern, and magnetic woman, this perfume unveils an irresistible and captivating aura. It perfectly blends softness with intensity, sensuality with confidence. I am frumos EU

  • I’m loving all musk scents at the moment. And the way this is described with a fruity caramel swirled musk sounds incredible. I can’t wait to get my nose on it

  • Olya’s review highlights Hypnotic Musk’s sensual allure, unique scent composition, Thierry Romeo’s artistry, its timely 2025 launch, and its connection to Esxence, making it appealing for its depth and exclusivity. GnTonic would be my favourite M. Micallef scent. I live in Poland, EU.

  • Jason Acree says:

I like the description of the fruits and there is a hint of peach even though it is not in the notes. I love the smell of peach so hope I am able to pick up on that note as well. Also like the idea of the musk being more of a fresh laundered sheets. Overall hope to get my nose on this.

  • Seems like the main players of this fragrance are all favorites of mine!
Raspberry, caramel and musk, what a delicious trio!
I find myself reaching for fruity frags more and more nowadays, and raspberry, with its sweet tartness, is in my opinion one of the most “complete” fruity aromas. And musk, when done right, is an absolute chameleon, appropriate for any occasion, season, style or state of mind.
I love Black from the house of Micallef.

  • This sounds incredible! I love the bottle! I’m extremely interested in this as I am new to perfume and have learned I really love fruit over florals. However what I have is very dark/for evening and this sounds perfect for every day. I would love to add this to my tiny collection. I imagine it smells feminine, flirty & clean. I live just outside beautiful Seattle, WA. Thank you for this review!!!

  • Jackie Rosenfeld says:

This sounds amazing! I love musk the most. My favorite M. Micallef is a tie between Note Vanille and Red Colorado. Love them both!

  • Love this fragrance house. I agree with Olya they deliver gem after gem. The fragrance and bottles. Love a good musk with a hint of sweet. Perfect for Valentine’s Day. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I do so enjoy a good musk in fragrance. Raspberry, caramel, vanilla, iris, and musk make this perfume a song to be remembered. I must get my nose on this as soon as I can. I do not yet have a favorite Micallef, as I’ve yet to test any out. This may change for me with the introduction of this fragrance. I live in Oregon.

  • Just as love surprises us when we least expect it, Hypnotic Musk sounds like it swathes the senses, inviting us into its embrace with an inviting warmth. Each inhalation is like a sweet serenade, wrapping around us like a lover’s touch, leaving an indelible mark on our souls.
    Beautiful review Olya.

  • Thank you Olya. I’m unfamiliar with lychee having seen them in supermarkets but never thought to try them. I’m however a lover of musk and M. Micallef Hypnotic Musk sounds delectable. I’m in USA

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great review Olya.

Beautiful set of notes. I Love the way that lychee is not in the opening set of notes, but rather tart raspberry and bergamot, giving way to a combination of the lychee and iris.

Having a great musk drydown can really make a fragrance.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • This sounds absolutely divine!! I adore everything Iris and violet and then there’s raspberry, lychee and caramel?!! Sign me up ASAP!! This is such a dreamy concoction and I have to get my nose on this!! I’m in NC and would love the chance to win this amazing perfume!!

  • I’ll admire im not a gourmandienne but every once in a while a gourmand gets me! I am an avid fan of musk, violet and iris. I have a couple from this house that I love. I would love to try this juicy beauty!! Sounds perfect for Valentine’s Day. I am located in the U.S.

  • This is a perfect gem, my wife loves raspberries, her birthday is on valentine’s day and this has all the notes that she loves! We haven’t had the privilege of experiencing any M Micallef fragrances! USA

  • Ramses Perez says:

The bottle itself reads Valentine’s. I love the accents in the middle of this bottle design and the fragrance itself is the star. I can tell this is targeted for women, however, anyone that enjoys fruity musks will fall in love with it. Raspberries are a note you see every now and then and when you do you want to try it because they’re rare. Lychee and caramel come in to sweeten things up a bit but also add a soft and airy touch. The ambergris note I can only predict makes this fragrance last an eternity and I’d love for it to steal my heart like Olya mentioned, I’m located in the USA.

  • Ouuuuu, bless! As a bonafide muskophile; I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve been so excited about a fragrance as I am right now. This sounds so perfect.

The name, house, perfumer, listed notes and lovely mauve colored bottle were plenty enough to reel me in. Olya’s review, however, was like a white silk gloved hand that swept my hair behind my ear, handing me one exciting word at a time like it was my favorite song, then kissed my forehead and booped my nose before leaving.

    Joyfully writing from the US!

  • Svetlanafrance says:

Olya’s review of M. Micallef’s Hypnotic Musk has truly captivated me. The way she describes the fragrance’s opening—a jammy, mouthwatering burst of sweet raspberry—sounds utterly addictive. The interplay of refined iris and violet, smoothing out the tartness with a velvety, powdery touch, adds a layer of sophistication that intrigues me. As someone who appreciates complex and evolving scents, the combination of juicy fruits, delicate florals, and a creamy, musky dry down promises a mesmerizing experience.
Living in France, I have not explore yet M. Micallef’s collection, but Hypnotic Musk seems like the perfect introduction to their artistry. I’m particularly drawn to the idea of a fragrance that balances sweetness with depth, offering both comfort and allure. I look forward to the opportunity to experience this composition firsthand.

  • Ooh I love so many of these notes! What sparked my interest the most was how Olya described the fragrance as getting powdery following its fruity sweetness. I know powder can sometimes have a negative connotation, but I personally love it, just as long as it doesn’t get too dense. In this scent, it sounds like just the perfect accompaniment to the candied fruit. USA.

  • I’ve gotten a 5ml of ylang in gold after watching YouTube videos after getting introduced to niche fragrances just last year. About to be 43 and didn’t even know there was a such thing as niche. I got PDM valaya and Layton and loved it and then purchased M.Micallef and it was nothing short of AMAZING. Very happy I’ve ventured out. This is long lasting soft yet strong. I would love to get my hands on this new release from M.Micallef !

  • Olya really sparked my interest with “This fragrance is dripping with ripe, juicy decadence—berries, fruits, and florals bursting at their peak, swirling around a hypnotic musk core. From the first spritz, I was hooked.”

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I don’t have a fragrance with raspberries in it. This sounds very interesting. Raspberry, Caramel, Sandalwood & Vanilla, wow!

I like when Olya said that this fragrance is a statement of seduction, its a fragrance that refuses to go unnoticed.

  • I live in the USA, in Hawaii, where lychee is a popular snack, and I love the note in perfumery. The raspberry lychee combo sounds amazing. It sounds gourmand, but light enough to enjoy in the Hawaiian heat. So far, my favorite from M Micallef is O Feminin.

  • I’m really drawn to the musk in the scent – it’s the scent of freshly laundered sheets, still warm from the dryer, wrapping around you in a cocoon of comfort. Familiar, yet undeniably addictive. Soft, yet charged with something mesmeric. The kind of scent you keep coming back to, without even realizing you’ve already fallen under its sweet spell.
    I’m from EU.

  • I think that this could be another of those compromises for those who want to approach the gourmand family but they’re afraid of being overwhelmed by too many sweet and fatty notes. To balance the sweetness of caramel, we have the freshness of raspberries, lychees and ginger, with the elegance of violets and iris, all held together by the soothing white musk.
    Really curious to try this,
    I’m from Italy.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Wow this sounds incredible! What an interesting combo! Berries, musk, and caramel are a combo I’ve never smelled before and it sounds fantastic! I also love anything with ginger so I feel like that would put it over the edge for me. I don’t know how I have never sampled this house before but this review makes me feel like I need to start. Great review! Thanks for the draw, from the US.

  • wonderscent.mari says:

I am VERY excited about Hypnotic Musk! Sounds so intoxicating mouthwatering, hypnotic creation. This fragrance must be a delight to wear. The imaginary of jammy berries, caramel & lychee wrapped by the powderiness of Iris, sparkles coming from ginger note, a velvety touch by sandalwood and final touch of a beautiful warm musk is so enchanting.
I can almost smell the fragrance through the words—such a poetic and immersive review!
I would love to experience a feeling like that from a fragrance. Thank you for the opportunity & for this review!
My favorite M.Micallef is Note Vanillèe

  • One of my faves from M. Micallef is Ma Nature. I liked the description of sweet raspberry, molten caramel, iris and violet. Thanks for another wonderful review and draw. MI USA

  • Amazing review. And this perfumes sounds fabulous. I would very like to try it. thank you for the draw. I live in Europe.

  • My favorite one is GNTONIC. That sounds utterly captivating! The way Olya describes the fusion of raspberry and caramel with musk makes this fragrance seem like pure allure in a bottle. M. Micallef has a talent for creating scents that leaves a lasting impression—this one seems truly unforgettable.
    I’m from USA.

  • The notes are delicious! Caramel together with raspberry, lychee and vanilla! My mouth is watering already. Thanks for the giveaway! Europe

  • I haven’t gotten my nose on any fragrances from this brand but I would love to find myself in a sensual cocoon of comfort! I’m in the USA

  • I’ve been on the lookout for a lovely musky skin scent, and with the addition of lychee this review makes it sound just perfect. I have tried Royal Muska and very much enjoyed it! I’m in the USA.

  • Hello, this perfume sounds amazing, and I’ve already pre-ordered my bottle. My big concern is that the Ambroxan will be of the over-powering sort. I have a short list of fragrances containing it that I do love, but a long list of those I despise due to the strong, screechy awful Ambroxan. What are your thoughts about that? Should I cancel my order?
    Thank you!

  • I have recently discovered a love for lychee, and moreso when well blended with vanilla and sandalwood. The addition of caramel is a bonus!

  • Olya makes this sound like a decadent dessert that I will have to settle for wearing, instead of eating! I haven’t tried another M. Micallef before.
    Oregon, USA

  • This Hypnotic Musk perfume bottle really looks and sounds like a real winner. Desire Toxic is one of my favourites from the house and the bottle is just 10/10. I’m from the EU.

  • Hypnotic Musk sounds like a decadent gourmand for Valentine’s day with jammy fruits, powdery florals and luscious caramel. The musk note that Olya describes sounds soothing, comforting and addictive. MD, USA.

  • I adore the accents in its design. The real highlight, though, is the fragrance itself. While it seems primarily aimed at women, anyone who appreciates fruity musks will be captivated by it. Raspberry is a rare note for me, Lychee and caramel add a sweet, light, and airy dimension to the scent. Like Olya said, I’d be thrilled if it manages to capture my heart.

  • This sounds really, really good! I also like the bottle and I am curious about the fragrance as I love raspberry. Thanks!

  • Wow, I want to drink this one. Raspberry is one of my favorite notes as it is sweet and tart while still having an old-school refinement. Add in the caramel and musk and I’m sold. I’m also intrigued by the description of the overripe peach.

    I live in the EU

  • M. Micallef Hypnotic Musk sounds like it could be a fascinating fragrance. From what I’ve read, it seems to be a rich, seductive blend that blends warm, musky notes with a soft, almost creamy quality. The combination of floral and spicy elements, layered with vanilla and amber, promises a luxurious depth that could make it feel like a captivating, mysterious scent—something you’d want to wear to leave a lasting impression. • Monique Verhaegh says:

First of all I love Micallef…Mon parfum is one my favorites and a big compliment getter!
The combination of raspberry and caramel sounds just like a perfect scent for this spring! I live in Europe and with the grey weather I would love to add some sparkles to my day with this perfume!

  • Olya’s description of Hypnotic Musk had me nearly drooling. I also love lychee (the scent and the fruit), and while I’ve experienced it paired with berries, I’ve never thought of it with caramel and the combination has me thoroughly intrigued from this description. I live in the USA.

  • This sounds so wonderful. Sweet to the max for sure. Berries with caramel and vanilla sounds like it would satisfy my sweetooth by just smelling it. Usa.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I haven’t tried anything yet from M. Micallef, but M. Micallef Hypnotic Musk sounds like something I might like, and it might be a good introduction to the company. I like a lot of its notes. I like fruity patchouli fragrances, and Hypnotic Musk seems like it would be a good alternative to the fruity patchouli fragrances I’ve been enjoying. I’d truly like to experience the raspberry and lychee in this one. I like musky fragrances, and I like to hear that the musk in this has a presence. I appreciate Olya’s description of this fragrance. I’d like to win the bottle. I live in MD, USA.

  • Those M. Micallef bottles are so cool, though I haven’t had a chance to try any of the brand’s fragrances. Hypnotic Musk’s combination on overripe fruit and laundry musk will be a crowdpleaser. That sheer lychee note sounds particularly well done.

    I’m in the USA.

  • foreverscents says:

The raspberry, ginger, and lychee notes sound jammy, luscious and seductive. And then there is caramel! And ambergris? This is an amazing blend of notes. The musk makes it sound comforting and warm. Olya’s review of Hypnotic Musk has completely captivated me.
    I live in the USA.

  • ShaMara Boone says:

This bottle is gorgeous and I’m sure the juice inside will match. Love Ylang in gold and Notes Vanille from this house. Would love to win this. The notes seem very interesting to me as Im tending to just now start liking scents with Lychee & Ginger. That raspberry sounds very sensual and alluring in my mind. I can definitely see date night with this!!

Also ordered a 10ml of DesirToxic for husband and he enjoys it.

  • This fragrance has my full attention. Love raspberry notes. My favorite musk fragrance has blackberries, so berries and musk is a winning combination. I adore an iris/violet powdery aspect to a fragrance. I’ve heard a few people talk about this and all rave reviews. I may just have to blind buy this, but hoping I’ll be the lucky winner. Thanks for a chance. USA.

  • OMGwad!!! I’ve seen a lot of reviews on this new release. I’m truly intrigued I love M. Miscalled and what the brand is all about. I would love to win this bottle.

  • M. Micallef is a house ive heard mostly great things about but have never owned or experienced. IDK if its just me but I am suprised at all of the new editions to the high end niche market. Rich, decadent, and well composed is what I take from this fruity and musky elixir. Im feeling the red bottle too. This would make anyone a great V day gift and something bright bringing in the new year. From North Carolina.
