La Fleur By Livvy Resilient by Sandi©
Each summer, I enjoy spending “soul time” in Colorado. It’s a retreat for me away from the hustle of everyday life. This past summer, I was thrilled to spend time with the talented and award-winning all-natural perfumer Olivia Larson, at her Studio in downtown Grand Junction. I sampled her fragrances and chose one on the spot. However, I was intrigued by a custom creation in collaboration with the Molly Brown House Museum and La Fleur by Livvy Resilient. Upon returning home, I immediately visited the Museum’s site and ordered a bottle.

“The sense of smell is a learned thing. Let’s stick to it till the end and experience the dry down.” Olivia Larson.
Olivia shared her creative process for La Fleur By Livvy Resilient which is a collaboration with the Molly Brown House Museum. “It has been an incredible opportunity and challenge to test my skills and create a fragrance for the first time for a private label, not for my small brand. It has been a fun collaboration with the Molly Brown House Museum in Denver, Colorado. This unique experience and process all started to take shape last October. I dove deep into reading about Margaret Brown, who was known by her first name and not Molly Brown until after the movie gained popularity. She was such a strong woman back in the day who traveled back and forth to Europe, mainly Paris. She fought for women’s rights and helped fight for the other passengers on the Titanic. I channeled her and wanted to know what Margaret was like. I had many questions for the folks at the Molly Brown House selected the notes, and I created several mods until they decided on the final one. Resilient was the most fitting name because it matched the “unsinkable” Molly Brown.”

“It isn’t who you are, nor what you have, but what you are that counts.” Molly Brown.
She is remembered for her courage, social activism, and generosity. She refused to settle for anything but survival. Molly Brown was daring, adventurous, and a mighty fighter for many.

I felt like I was on a olfactive adventure wearing this La Fleur By Livvy Resilient. I was transported to the many places she loved to travel to. Her adventures took her to far-off and exciting places around the world. She, however, loved Paris. Resilient opens with a bright citrus note, bringing a smile and a sense of joy. Then, there’s a sensation of being wrapped in a cozy blanket with a cup of tea infused with herbs, the tartness of the citrus note still present as it warms you from deep down. Bringing a sense of calm that refreshes, satisfies, and instills strength and a bit of courage to continue. wood notes come into play, blending flawlessly with the other ingredients, perfectly highlighted by a sweetness that brings the fragrance together cohesively.
Fragrance Notes: Lemon, Raspberry, Basil, Ginger, Peppermint, Sweet Marjoram, Lavender, Juniper Berry, Eucalyptus, Palo Santo, Blue Cypress, Cedarwood, and White Tea.
