What does love smell like to you? Just as every individual is unique, so is love’s essence. An empowering scent has the ability to inspire us and fill us with optimism and hope. La Fleur by Livvy Fleur De L’Amour transports me to a world of enchantment and romance. Delicate sweetness and powdery refinement weave an olfactory tapestry that captivates my senses and stirs my soul.

The perfume Olivia Larson describes it as a “Fruity Floral, a playful strawberry that leads the way for a pure romance rose, pink, and crimson as a valentine. Although valentines are sweet and chocolatey, the sensual champaca grounds the other notes in a way that is anything but frilly. The sandalwood is dry, and the rose is plush, making it almost Victorian in its feel. It is reminiscent of an Edith Wharton Victorian novel where love and passion simmer beneath the surface of restrictive social norms”.

“It must be less wicked to love the wrong person than not to love anybody at all“.- Edith Wharton

Olivia adds something special to her interpretation of love in her Fleurs De L’ Amour perfume with the red berries, two roses (Bulgarian and Rose de Mai). Cocoa absolute embraces Champaka creating sultry floral bouquet wrapped with velvety sweet vanilla and tea-like hints.  Sandalwood with its deep creamy warm woody undertones deepens the love.

Notes: Strawberries, Rose, Champaca, Sandalwood, and organic Cocoa absolute.

Thank you so very much for the opportunity! It sounds like a beautiful scent I would love.

  • As a lover of all things rose and optimistic, this fragrance of course appeals to me! Champaca can be a strange note at times, but I am curious how it has been blended here with cocoa, and would absolutely love to try it. Thank you for this generous draw. I live in NH, USA.

  • I love the idea of a Victorian Rose. It sounds perfect for this time of year when spring is right around the corner but still too far away. The soaps on their website look beautiful Thanks for the drawing

  • Rose in sandalwood, on a base of cocoa and topped with strawberries – absolutely sounds like classic romance in a bottle! I would love to try this enchanting sounding scent!
    Best wishes from NJ, USA!

  • La Fleur sounds like a very romantic fragrance perfect for Valentine’s Day. Strawberries and chocolate with a bouquet of roses speak of love. Champaca adds a sensual element. I’m in the US.

  • This sounds like an absolute fruity floral delight in the most elegant way! Would love to smell this! From Portland, OR.

    Thank you for the review!

While it was too short for me to get an idea of the fragrance, I do think that the notes are simple and beautiful.

I also very much appreciated the quote by Edith Wharton.

The strawberry, rose, champaca, and cocoa notes are calling to me. What a beautiful combination. Fleur De L’Amour sounds like the perfect perfume for Valentine’s Day. Or maybe just for some solitary time with an Edith Wharton novel.
    I live in the USA.

  • This does sound like a perfect valentines perfume. I love that it include both rose de mai and bulgarian roses. Fantastic that it is an American Perfumer. Ilive in the US
