I first got to know the perfume house Kierin NYC as an avid reader of ÇaFleureBon, through a piece written by the brand’s President, Mona Maine de Biran in our ÇaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery Series. I followed with keen interest as my fellow ÇaFleureBon fragrance writers and experts explored the house and returned glowing reviews Kierin NYC fragrances speak to a core dream of mine: to spend time in New York City with our beloved editor Michelyn Camen and truly experience the unique life that The Big Apple has to offer. I have lived in Chicago, Beijing, and Paris, but New York City has an energy and charm all its own. Kierin NYC fragrances capture the vibrancy and variety of the big city.

Champagne wishes come to mind when I think of the art and luxury available in New York City and Kierin NYC and ScentXme delivers. Inspired by Times Square’s iconic New Year’s Eve celebration and its euphoric symphony of bodies, beats and bottles, this scent opens with a burst of celebration. A champagne accord that is light, effervescent, and reminiscent of the greatest blanc de blancs, uplifting with savory mineral complexity and understated cinnamic, baking spice tones. Such a wonderfully elegant and fresh opening speaks to the finesse of New York style: classically refined with lively textures.

With time, ScentXme glides to its fuller bodied heart, warming to a passion fruit accord with clear, lingering citrus. The fragrance shows a deft hand at balancing the roundness and sweetness of the passion fruit with the angular acidity of the grapefruit. Passion fruit has a depth to its flavor that the grapefruit seems to outline and lift for us, almost excavating the complex layers of stoneflower floralcy, pomegranate and strawberry redness, and pineapple tartness. The pithy texture and grip are lovely. This is a complex fragrance for a complex and layered city energy.

The dry down of Kierin NYC ScentXme reaches its full richness, with a rum accord pulling on the ample range of vanillic, apricot, raisin, nutmeg, and caramel aspects of the liqueur. A soft wood in the base steadies the composition. I would not describe the dry down as overly sweet, but rather a rich and full atmosphere to accompany an action-packed night out. ScentXme is a sparkling glass of champagne with a rich accompaniment of fruit and wood-toned floralcy for a night out in the big city.

Notes: champagne, cinnamon, passion fruit, grapefruit, palm wood, rum

Rachel, to me this sounds like a “party in a bottle” that is full of energy. However, I picture it as a Black Tie event that brings a lot of fun yet quite exquisite. The notes in this have truly captured my attention. This is a house that I MUST learn more about.

I’m a fan of this fragrance house. I have sampled everything. Love how each Fragrance represents NYC. The bottles are unique. Rachel’s review has me interested. Sounds perfect for a Special occasion. Thank you for this chance USA

  • I was going to look the other way because I”m not ususally a fruity fragrance wearer, though I can appreciate their charm, but the middle and dry down combination and the complexity described made me sign in to comment; this sounds like quite an experience! I live in the USA.

I’m binge watching Sex and the City reruns (for the 27th time) and I feel like this fragrance was made for Carrie Bradshaw. It sounds fabulous 😉 I would love to be entered into the giveaway! The only thing I’ve smelled from the house is 10am Flirt which is on my “bottles to purchase” list, it is beautiful!! I am in Austin, TX.

I think Kieran NYC is purposely only listing 6 notes so that we can experience other notes ourselves and make our own conclusions. For example, vanilla is not listed as a note but you do get a bit of it based on Rachel’s review. I do know specific combinations of notes, woods and rum here, could lead to the sensation of a vanillin undertone. I was aware of the house but I have never had the chance to try or experience any of the fragrances. The house is inspired by NYC and everything it has to offer so they will never run out of ideas to make new fragrances out of. Cheers from USA.

  • I must say, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to blind by a perfume just by the bottle like this one. Honestly, the bottle is so cool

  • Love fragrances that have an inspiration from a specific setting or location. The thing about ScentXme that caught my eye the most is for sure the complexity of the fragrance, especially from what Rachel mentions about the dry down. The diverse notes list has me curious on the overall balance, but will for sure keep my eye out for Kierin NYC fragrances onwards.

  • I have spent many wonderful New Year’s Eves in NYC, as my mom lives there (though I’ve always avoided Times Square and the crowds). So the inspiration of this fragrance is very evocative for me. The note breakdown also sounds lovely and different. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • What sparks my interest is the interesting note combinations, especially the champagne and grapefruit. US

  • This fragrance sounds so good and right up my alley! From Rachel’s review, I’m interested in the champagne accord since I like light/sparkling yet fruity fragrances. I love a slightly sweet yet warm dry down. I’m in the USA. Thank you!

Rachel’s review of Kierin NYC ScentXme truly captivates my interest with its vivid description of the fragrance’s journey from a celebratory champagne opening to a rich and complex dry down. The way she delves into each stage of the scent’s evolution, from the effervescent champagne accord to the warming heart of passion fruit and citrus, and finally to the rich rum-laced base, paints a picture of an olfactory experience that mirrors the energy and complexity of New York City itself. I’m particularly drawn to the idea of experiencing the vibrancy and variety of the big city through the lens of fragrance, and ScentXme seems like the perfect embodiment of that. Rachel’s review has definitely piqued my curiosity, and I’m eager to experience this sparkling and multifaceted scent for myself.

  • A fragrance that contains both champagne and rum accords is ready for a party. Passion fruit tends to be a cloying note for me in perfumes but the addition of the grapefruit seems to temper that. I love Rachel’s description of ScentXme as classically refined with lively textures. MD, USA.

  • The champagne note has me very interested – what an intoxicating note list and description!

What sparks my interest is, of course the texture and emotions of champagne accord “that is light, effervescent, and reminiscent of the greatest blanc de blancs, uplifting with savory mineral complexity and understated cinnamic, baking spice tones. Such a wonderfully elegant and fresh opening speaks to the finesse of New York style: classically refined with lively textures.”
I cannot imagine how all those notes are working together – champagne with rum, then also passion fruit and grapefruit, but still I am very interested to explore this scent and wear that NYC feeling at New Year Eve.
I live in the EU, thank you for giving this chance!

  • ScentXme has a really strong and unusual graphic identity that I love. The notes list is equally interesting—mineralic and fizzy champagne accord, cinnamon and citrus, high-res passion fruit, a complex and woody rum accord. Rachel’s review suggests a depth to this Kierin NYC fragrance’s textures and compositional balance that aren’t necessarily apparent from the notes list. ScentXme seems like a blast to wear, especially on a summer evening in the city.

I’m in the midwest, USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I just love cinnamon in a fragrance and Kierin has always had amazing perfumers and complex unique reieases that I love. I can’t wait to try their take on champagne too! In California grateful for the chance to win.

  • chamberoflilith says:

This gives me such contradictory vibes, I am very intrigued. The bottle itself, I’ve never seen this aesthetic for a perfume bottle, and the theme of the scent is so thrilling. I find romance in neon lights. Does that make sense? This just sounds like something I’ve never smelled before, with the sparkling champagne and the passionfruit. Exciting… writing from Romania, as usual.

  • Michael Prince says:

This sounds like the perfect combination of notes. I am from Ohio, USA.
