My favorite Jovoy fragrance is Psychedelique. I love a fragrance that brings about a specific memory and I’m glad this was based around a winter evening spent by the fireside. I love the fact Steven mentioned this doesn’t have calone as I don’t really like the note and the aquatic touches it may have are more aromatic to the nose. A childhood memory I’d want to bottle is the hot summers in Cuba where I’m from, and the melange of all the fruits we ate to keep us hydrated. It would probably be a solar fruity fragrance. Jovoy truly has iconic fragrances and if Steven mentioned that this is a tad similar to Basso (a super popular fragrance), this will certainly be another hit for the house. Cheers from the USA.

  • Aziel Tingzon says:

Living in South Florida where it’s summer all year round – pretty much. This is what I need. Psychedelic is one of my favorites.

  • SonneSweet says:

Francois Henin’s introduction to Jovoy Paris Aqua Memorabilis is evocative and deeply personal, bringing to life a cherished childhood memory through fragrance. The description of winter evenings, the scent of clementines, and the nostalgic imagery of smoky flares creates a vivid backdrop for the perfume’s creation. It’s compelling to see how Henin’s sensory experiences from his youth have been meticulously translated into a fragrance by perfumer Vanina Muracciole.

Steven’s review of Aqua Memorabilis reflects a thoughtful engagement with the perfume’s character, highlighting its citrusy, woody, and modern aspects. His personal take on the fragrance adds authenticity and depth to the review, making it easier for readers to connect with the perfume’s essence and its unique qualities.

Among Jovoy Paris perfumes, my favorite would have to be “Les Jeux sont Faits”, known for its intriguing blend of spices and warmth. If I could bottle a childhood memory, it would be the scent of freshly cut grass on a summer day, a simple yet evocative fragrance that captures the essence of carefree summer afternoons.

  • What I love most about fragrance is how intense and therapeutic it can be when it comes to scent memory or evoking nostalgia. It’s beautiful that Francois’s memories are now bottled up and can be experienced by the masses–it sounds like a truly gorgeous blend of complex citrus and woods. Steven’s review helped paint a picture of how it might compare to some other fragrances, but ultimately it still sounds rather unique!

If I had to pick a favorite from Jovoy, it would probably be either Psychedelique or Gardez-Moi. Bother are so special and I plan to get full bottles when my bank account permits me to.

A memory I would love to bottle would be my grandmother skinning grapefruits when I was a child and drying them to turn into candy. As a child I vividly remember the tart, juicy and oily grapefruit aroma wafting across the house, and as time passed, it turned into a more subdued and calming dried, sweeter scent when they were finally dry. She always sipped jasmine tea during the process too, so safe to say this memory probably has a lot to do with why I love perfume as much as I do now.

Thank you for the opportunity, and hello from NYC!

  • I love the idea of this fragrance. I grew up on the New Jersey shore in a small town and I was a huge fan of anything citrus based to drink for a quick cool down. This reminds me of those moments.

Love that Steven said which perfumes is this simmilar to, gives a great idea, and I love this. This house is amazing and i would love to win. From eu, they deliver

  • Steven’s enthusiasm here is infectious. I love the Jovoy fragrances (I have several, including Private Label and Liturgie des Heures). The fact that he mentions a photorealistic aspect is very appealing.

Anything which resonates with François means something special to me: he is a gentilhomme par excellence. I would be honored to place my hat in the aromatic ring.

  • neal_buatti says:

A peppery, photorealistic citrus sounds like my kind of fragrance. I don’t have any bottles from Jovoy. Just a 10ml of Incident Diplomatique. If I could bottle a childhood memory it would be the smell of the first dessert that I ever made.

  • David Furman says:

Je ne sais quoi!?!? Deja Vu…I literally was researching this very gem last night. There’s something in the name that drew me to it and that’s where my curiosity began. Recently have starting diving into niche houses and aside from the occasional hit or miss they all are special and the quality of ingredients improves the more you move up. This is well crafted and nothing strikes me as out of place. From the citric brightness to the cedar and sandalwood base this thing has a secret admirer. Hopefully this brings me luck and my intuitions don’t lead me astray. From Jacksonville, NC.

Long time sub of Steven at redolessence. I just love him he’s such an amazing person and reviewer, he’s great at describing fragrances and one of my favorite fragrance enthusiasts so thank you to him for pointing me in Cafleurebon’s direction. Michelyn did an amazing job of reviewing and giving us the details of this amazing house and I learned something new which I love so thank you to Michelyn. Francois’s review is so heartwarming, there’s nothing better than a great childhood memory and there’s always something so amazing about being by the fireplace surrounded by the people we cherish most on a cold winter day making sweet memories and enjoying food and drink.the way he described it with so much depth is like a flashback that I can relate to from my own childhood that brings nostalgic happy memories back that I could sit and feel like I’m there again all day long. Also the fact that it took Vanina 2 years to recreate Francois’s special memories and put them in a bottle is really awe inspiring. It means she took her time to perfect this fragrance, which takes patience, love for her craft, creativity, and quality, which is beyond inspiring. So thank you to her as well for her hard work on this masterpiece. They way Steven reviewed this fragrance was so in depth it’s like I can smell the wondrous notes of it in the air as I’m listening to him describe them, which is why he’s one of my personal favorite fragrance reviewers. The notes in this gem I personally would love to smell on my skin and in the air, I love citrus based bright clean fragrances with a nice clean vetiver note to balance out the citrus. It’s a must have for anyone’s collection. I would so cherish this fragrance so thank you to Cafleurebon, Michelyn, Francois, Vanina, Steven, and everyone else involved in this amazing giveaway, and thank you for this wonderful opportunity to win such a precious olfactory masterpiece of a prize. I have not had the honor of smelling any Jovoy paris perfumes yet and the memory I would want in a bottle is one of my childhood memories of Christmas. There’s so many but I know it would be based on the Christmas foods drinks my grandmother prepared for the family and the smell of the tree. Those were a lot simpler times back then and memories I will cherish for eternity. Thank you and greetings from the U.S.

  • Both François Hénin and Michelyn’s introduction provides a fascinating glimpse into the inspiration behind Aqua Memorabilis. The connection to travel and capturing a specific memory is relatable and adds a personal touch to the fragrance. Steven’s review offers a well-rounded perspective on the scent itself. His breakdown of the notes and their evolution is insightful, especially for those curious about the fragrance’s composition. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to explore the entire Jovoy Paris line yet. However, based on this article, Aqua Memorabilis sounds intriguing, especially with the focus on capturing a special memory. I would love to bottle myself learning to read cause thanks to this I can enjoy such beautiful articles like this one! I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

  • Love the focus on a specific memory. Clementines are one of the most aromatic citrus varieties and I wish they were as popular as bergamot and orange. I imagine it works well with the woody tones, evoking Francois’ memory of eating them by the fireside. Steven spoke highly of the scent’s tenacity, which can sometimes be hard to attain in a citrus forward fragrance. I also like the sound of the pepper Steven spoke of. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • Francis Bayotas says:

The name itself tells me that this fragrance is something that i can wear and get many compliments from others. The bottle and the color of the fragrance looks classy. Many thanks for the review.

  • Like Francois described, I too love the clean citrusy smell that clementines leave on your hands after eating them. Steven’s description of the citrus followed by the spices and the woody notes makes this sound like a fragrance I would love wearing. I haven’t yet begun exploring Jovoy’s fragrances. That said, I am a fan of Jovoy’s sister brand–Jeroboam; I am familiar with Vanina Muracciole’s work having both Vespero and Ambra. Both are wonderful fragrances.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I adore a great citrus woody unisex fragrance, and this one may be it! A bottled memory of clementines and fire, I’d love to smell the interpretation here. For me, a favorite memory of mine I’d like bottled is the smell of the cabin at the beach where we visited every summer growing up here on the Oregon coast. It’s a woody, sandy smell with hints of watermelon and salt air. I’d love to recreate it. I’m a Redolessence subscriber. I live in Oregon.

  • I’m a fan of Jovoy Paris and Jeroboam and didn’t know that they shared Francois Henin as creative director. Steven mentioned that Aqua Memorabilis is zingy and zesty…love that for summer. I also enjoy Private Label. My “bottled” childhood memory would represent picking dandelion and clover flowers in the park. Thanks for another wonderful review and draw. Michigan USA

  • Francois Henin and Michelyn’s introduction to Jovoy Paris Aqua Memorabilis was truly captivating.
Their passion for the art of perfumery shines through, making me even more eager to experience this fragrance. Steven’s review was insightful and detailed, highlighting the unique blend of notes that make Aqua Memorabilis stand out.

My favorite Jovoy Paris perfume has to be Ambre Premier. Its rich, warm amber notes evoke a sense of elegance and timelessness that I adore.

If I could bottle a childhood memory, it would be the scent of my grandmother’s garden in spring.
The delicate aroma of blooming flowers and fresh greenery always brings back fond memories of carefree days spent playing and exploring.

  • This fragrance has been on my to-try-list for a while. The fact that Steven described it as mainly citrusy-woody with a professional vibe sounds promising, because I don’t like it when citrus/fresh fragrances are too sweet.

I totally get how you sometimes want to put memories in a perfume bottle as Fracois Henin says. My childhood memory for that would simply be all the different smells of the garden of my family and the forest next to it.

I happen to own Private Label by Jovoy, which features quite the heavy notes and feels so masculine, yet elegant – created by the great Cécile Zarokian.

    Best wishes from Germany

  • Amazing write! It’s great to read it took two years to get the formula right to Francois nose. All it took to get was for Steven to compare it to Isola blu because I’m a sucker for the sophisticated citrus scent!

  • The only Jovoy I have tried is La Liturgie des Heures which I liked very much. I thought this was going to smell like Christmas from the description so am interested to see from the video that it’s more summery. I am in the UK

Francois saying it’s woody and modern makes me think id like this. Steven compares it to other perfumes I like. I’d love to win this and live in Indiana.

    Greetings everyone
Walking into Jovoy in Paris is like waking into Victoria and Albert Museum in London, you’ll be fascinated by the sheer amount of elaborate fragrance brands, just like in Victoria and Albert Museum by the amount of elaborate jewelry from all over the world.
I like how Ms Camen spoke of Jovoy, François Henin childhood memories with clementines and fireplace and the way Mr Gavrielatos described Aqua Memorabilis , inviting and relaxing bright and zingy fragrance , and to my liking the vetiver in not from the more earthy varieties, but from more clean ones.
I used to live in Paris up until recently, and I still visit once a month , of course I’m aware of Jovoy boutique, and Jovoy and Jeroboam . I bought multiple fragrances from them, almost all in person, as well as 4 x Jovoy, and 1 x Jeroboam . N1 is Incident Diplomatique
As a Certified Master Bench Jeweler something related to jewelry and gold i’d love to bottle , it has been a dream of mine since i was a kid
Thank you, American living in EU

  • Thanks to Steven Gavrielatos and Michelyn Camen reviews i started thinking about all kinds of warm and tropical moments I’d like to experience in the Summer .
I’m now curious about Aqua Memorabilis and the way it evolves. The contrast between the citruses , pepper and vetiver, day and night, innocence and class is to die for.

…embarking for a thousand adveand dreams

Such a nice thing to read, about how Francois Henin and Vanina Murracione decided to focus on cozy memories of Jovoy owner.I own 2 Jovoy Paris fragrances already, Fire at Will and Ambre Premier and I can say the happy burst of positivity is so common for the brand , i can’t wait to try Aqua Memorabilis.

What childhood memory would you want to bottle?

Hot chocolate with cinnamon i used to drink with my grandparents
    Thank you, and fingers crossed

Love and peace to all! I’m a small perfume collector and I’m madly in love with citrus notes, I don’t own any jovoy perfume but I hope that one day I’ll have a jovoy perfume. Jovoy seems like a very attractive perfume house. Greetings from Italy.

A beautiful and Nostalgic description by Michelin and François Henin capture the beauty of scent and memories. My favourite from Jovoy is Psychadelique. If I could bottle a moment it would be childhood trips to Murree a mountain resort in Galyat The notes and the description has definitely piqued my interest. Thanks a million from the UK

A very emotional description by François and Michelin highlights the prestigious heritage of Jovoy. If I could bottle a memory it would be eating candy with my mum. I was glad to know this composition does not contain Calone. This sounds like magical fragrance with a hypnotic trail. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Jovoy is my favourite house. I have many of their offerings, so it’s very difficult to name a favourite. But if I was pushed it would have to be Private Label. Ticks all the right boxes for me!

Steven has always been held in very high regard for his on-point reviews and natural charisma, and I respect his judgement. This sounds like another must-have from the brand.

  • Cotton_touch says:

    Hey there
I’m proud of having an Olympic triathlon gold medalist in my family and Francois Henin journey instantly reminded me of all the “blood sweat and tears” stories I’ve heard. All the resolutions, faithfulness to achieve the final goal to step on top of the Olympic games podium i can relate to what the energetic Jovoy creative director and owner went through so he can put Jovoy on Olympic Fragrance World podium himself.
What greatly helped him in his journey is his extroverted character, diverse interests not just perfumery but art , no wonder only best of the best brands can be found in the Paris, London, Qatar and South Korea boutiques.
The elegant merging of alluring clementines , pepper and woody spin are the most appealing sides of Aqua Memorabilis. I’m expecting soft woody aromatic haze that came as a result Vanina Murraciole work and Francois Henin going back to times when he was a little kid.
Private Label is the fragrance from Jovoy i like the most , the smell of authentic Cuban cigar is the childhood memory i want to bottle , if Jovoy made such a fragrance it would be great
    Thanks

  • I picked up from the written opening that this offering is resolutely modern. The video said some people suggest this one leans masculine, the reviewer did not quite agree. I don’t have a house favorite. US

  • I believe it’s easy to say Francois Henin is working his dream job , which is so rare , both owner and creative director of Jovoy. I firmly believe if you want to be successful in this world and at the same time be happy , you have to follow your passion first, not a paycheck. The idea of creating a fragrance that keeps your inner child alive through precious clementines, fascinating smoke spirals and inviting fragrance only comes to show the creative part of Francois Henin character.
Aqua Memorabilis is powerful and novelty citrusy and woody fragrance, with zesty citruses and vetiver, Redolessence review implied it sets the bar high for a fresh scent.

The zesty delicious clementines , black pepper and vetiver properties of Aqua Memorabilis I find suitable for all occasions and all seasons. What I find appealing in Steven review , and Michelyn intro was the Francois Henin boyhood memories captured by Vanina Mirraciole , the soft clean type of vetiver with mouthwatering citruses , and the comforting feeling in Aqua Memorabilis.
Les Jeux sont Faits is not just best smelling Jovoy, but it also gets me nice amount of compliments too. Thick raspberry jam my grandma used to make is the aroma I’d like to bottle myself
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • Haha I certainly have similar memories of clementines in the colder months too since that’s when they ripen down south. A staple around the Christmas time. Interesting about the combination with fireside smoke though. Not the biggest fan of woody ambers, but when dosed with a strong cedar, it can certainly give the wood a sparkle. Also interesting that Steven mentions the online comparisons with Bigarade Concentree – a fantastic citrus freshie, and TdH, one of the greatest grapefruit vetivers ever created. If it really is anything like either, it’s going to be a hit.

Incidentally, I’ve long noticed a trend since Ferragamo’s release of F Black in 2009 – only 3 years after Ellena’s TdH edt – of specifically adding pepper to freshies to give them a more ‘professional’ appeal. That trend was waylaid somewhat by the massive success of Dior’s Sauvage edt (another peppery citrus), paving the way for woody amber overdosed fragrances that continue to this day. Questions arise whether it’s a tactic to improve projection and longevity, or pad the pockets of budget-conscious conglomerates. Methinks both. Nevertheless, I still can’t say no to a well-blended and versatile citrus aromatic, potentially worthy of every day wear. In my experience, it’s still the most well recieved perfume genre for a modern burgeoning gentleman or someone just looking for a pleasant and functional fragrance to spray on whenever. And if Aqua Memorabilis really is just as tenacious as Steven says it is, it’d be a welcome summer addition to the Jovoy lineup that include favourites of mine like Pavillon Rouge and Remember Me. Appreciate the reviews! From Canada.

  • WillRhodes says:

I love a holiday scent that has a zesty citrus body. I don’t gravitate to a sunscreen type summer scent, so I really love that it has the photorealistic citrus with the vetiver. Pepper, vetiver, citrus…that’s all I need.

Love, love and love again. It’s remarkable that Francois Henin found the work-life balance relying on positivity and specific memories in addition to always thinking outside of the box.
Like everything in real life some components of Aqua Memorabilis are gentle like the clementines , some are spicy like the pepper , others don’t know what to expect from like the vetiver. The balanced between the zesty citruses and spices I’m looking for the most.

Keeping in mind the zealous examination of Aqua Memorabilis by Redolessence i know Vanina Murraciole did a splendid work once again , it’s elaborate zesty fragrance with pepper and vetiver , a gem I really like to win

From Steve’s review Acqua Memorabilis sounds like a beautiful and magical citrusy creation. I’ve experienced and loved Psychedelique from Jovoy Paris. I’m in USA and been subscribed to Redolessence for several years.

  • Jovoy Paris the best niche perfumery I did visit once in Paris. Francois Henin is very nice , he was at the shoppe and asked my opinion on a new perfume he brought in. As Michelyn said cares about his customers.
My favorite Jovoy is fire at Will and I bought my girlfriend Sans un mot
I would love Aqua Memorabilis. The Clementine citrus and two years to make. EU

  • And the aroma of zest that, crushed over a flame, created little flares and fascinating smoke spirals
    Francois Henin

He is so speaking like a true adept, and definitely not like a salesman only type of brand owner .It has been a pleasure learning about the idea of making Aqua Memorabilis based on positive energy and good memories of being a kid .
I’m impressed how Francois Henin is non-stop trying new things, it seems like with him the desire comes from within.
I’m a fan of beautiful things, opulent aura, creativity , clementines and long lasting zesty fragrances , and I’ll be happy to win Aqua Memorabilis
Grandpa used to smoke Cohiba Cuban cigars , that’s the childhood memory i would bottle if i could.
    Psychedelique is outstanding

Francois Henin is such a aesthete , surely with his own inimitable style. His affection for art , craftsmanship and business is noticeable without being corny , he seems quite humble.
Michelyn Camen and Redolessence grabbed me the most with childhood analogies of Francois Henin and Aqua Memorabilis , the new 15ml travel bottles info and how the citruses in the fragrance do not fade away quickly and do smell natural.
Eating ripe and sweet cantaloupe melon by the sea is the childhood memory I’d personally want to bottle . I have not smelled any Jovoy fragrances before
Thank you for the draw EU

    Salutations
It could be my impressions only but I believe most people associate Jovoy with Psychedelique , one of the best patchouli fragrances I’ve ever smelled . It was a pleasure reading Michelyn Camen introduction and watch Redolessence YouTube video ,i’ve learned a lot of today. What intrigued me the most, in no particular order a) Jovoy team ambition to grow b) with Francois Henin guidance how popular the house of Jovoy has become c) his inventiveness and trust in Vanina Murraciole encouraging her to take her time to perfect Aqua Memorabilis d) How versatile and classy the new fragrance is e) Michelyn Camen question what childhood memory I would want to bottle – salted caramel
    It’s been a pleasure

It’s amazing how long a perfumer works toward turning a memory into a fragrance – I suppose the satisfaction is tremendous.
Aqua Memorabilis seems to be a bottled memory, exactly that.
From Steven’s review – very professional, as always, he takes the time to talk about the presentation, too – I liked the way he underlines that it’s ‘professional’, and that, albeit not being groundbreaking in its genre, it definitely has character.
    I’m from EU.

  • Love the idea of fragrances inspired by different memories and made by accomplished perfumers like Vanina Muracciole. She and Francois Henin bonded so well on personal, professional and creative level, that they worked in the past and i believe will continue to work together for a long period of time.
Aqua Memorabilis is another fragrance based on collaboration between the two just like Fire at Will my favourite Jovoy.
I can emphasize to Redolessence words , from the bright zesty orangey opening , to the beautiful sunny feel of the fragrance, to clean vetiver. I’m so curious about the whole Aqua Memorabilis experience…
My childhood memory I would bottle is blueberry jam I’m eating from the jar
Thank you Michelyn, Redolessence , Jovoy and also thank you for the generosity

  • Aqua Memorabilis I think is kind of different compared to most Jovoy Paris fragrances, at least those I’ve smelled, easier to wear and fresh.
Steven’s take on the fragrance , with Michelyn and Francois Henin help made me think of being in Greece with my girlfriend , making and later on eating Iced Clementines Cake and drinking freshly squeezed orange juice while sitting on the beach.
I do have a few favorite Jovoy fragrances:
☆ Fire At Will smells like classical Almond Flour Vanilla Cake , with toasted Brown sugar , and Raw almonds on top .
☆ Incident Diplomatique is special occasions only perfume.
☆ Ambre Premier smells like Caramel Rose Wedding Cake with Peaches , with real rose water in it.
Earl Grey tea and Lemon Tarts is a bottle, my childhood memory I’ll happily wear
Appreciate Michelyn introduction, Steven’s review, and the giveaway campaign

The right way to start with Francois Henin life story of the past , and then go to the present time.
Apparently he was a bright mind at young age with interest of unique smells , spending long Winter evenings by the fireside with the aroma of the zest and smoke stamped in his mind.
From his young age , to him the owner of most precious fragrance boutiques in the world Francois Henin goals are still the same , triggering past and forging future artistic memories. No wonder it took two whole years for perfumer Vanina Muracciole to make Aqua Memorabilis as close as possible to what Francois Henin remembers of the clementines his youth , elegant fresh fragrance with classy personality
Mulled red wine with dried fruits and cinnamon smell i remember crystal clear from my younger days, if Jovoy bottles it ever better

Ahh this sounds like a beautiful memory has been bottled! What a joy & it sounds like a gem of a perfume. Jovoy are always stunning.
I have Conduit st. but I also enjoy La Liturgie des Heures and Pavilion Rouge. A memory bottled, is tough. but theres one off a kiss id like to remember as a scent, memories of whiskey, coconut shampoo & desire, with soft bodily musks might do the trick. Bublin in Dublin as usual.

I’ve been interested in Jovoy Paris for a while, and the release of Acqua Memorabilis only deepens that curiosity. The blend of clementine, woods, and amber sounds like a captivating homage to cherished memories, making it a must-try for fans of evocative and artistic fragrances.

  • Currently, in New York, we’re experiencing a particularly hot season, and I’m on the hunt for a cologne that’s both refreshing and citrusy. With my daily commute on the subway, I want a fragrance that will keep me feeling fresh, clean, and smelling amazing throughout the day. I always appreciate Steve’s videos. His descriptions are so precise, accurate, and well-chosen. I currently have John Varvatos Pure Artisan, which is quite citrusy but doesn’t last long on me. I’m eager to try a cologne that promises better projection and longevity I live in New York City.

The brand of Jovoy i do know , but not Vanina Muracciole, Pavillion Rouge and Les Jeux Sont are made by different perfumers Marie Schnirer and Amelie Bourgeois .
For a guy who achieved so much Francois Henin is not pounding his chest like a lot of other brand owners do, he just dreams big while being modest and respectful .
Clementines , vetiver and smoke are all favorites of mine, let alone how Redolessence said Aqua Memorabilis is full and it stands out with citruses even in the drydown – wonderful fragrance.
Jovoy i strongly associate with the two fragrances i mentioned early on Pavillion Rouge and Les Jeux Sont Faits
Being kid was so much fun , baked apples with butter and cinnamon I’d like to bottle
Thank you very much Francois Henin and Jovoy, Redolessence and special thanks to Michelyn Camen for each section on the intro

  • My takeaway of Michelyn Camen and Redolessence work with a quote from the intro

“It’s a citrusy, very woody and resolutely modern, powerful perfume, composed to wrap its wearer in an unforgettable fragrance trail. –Francois Henin”

Yes please on everything Francois Henin said . Unquestionably dedication is a must for the 21st century dire competition, and expectations are beyond high for everyone , in particular for niche fragrance boutiques , brands and perfumers.
I have a feeling every single person in Jovoy team, both in Paris, London Qatar and South Korea work ethics are noteworthy , from Francois Henin to the sales associates no one is looking for a way to push fragrances fast , the atmosphere is calm and the huge variety of exquisite fragrance can satisfy everyone’s tastes.
It’s worth nothing Vanina Muracciole also accepts nothing nearly right or good enough , the reason Francois Henin trust her on 100% to bottle some of his specific memories.
Home-baked chocolate croissants is my childhood memory I’d bottle immediately
Fire at Will is my favorite Jovoy fragrance. Thank you
    UK

  • Childhood memory I’ll gladly bottle up is frozen mint lemonade
Now to today’s read and video , both vivid and full of positive energy. Francois Henin is not only built differently, happy but he also likes to surround himself with people who have the same or similar values just like Vanina Murraciole. 2 years is a long time for making a fragrance , Aqua Memorabilis should be really good.
I am familiar with one Jovoy fragrance Fire at Will, and Redolessence reassurance calmed me down because in terms of fresh fragrances i don’t like when the citruses disappear quickly.
Aqua Memorabilis is very different from Fire at Will , maybe equally as good but more spicy , woody and fresh . Summer i a bottle, I’m hooked
Thank you for the whole experience.

  • All fragrances can tell a story, some are passionate, some are more wild and others serene . I think in Jovoy Aqua Memorabilis there’s no passionate or wild parts , and everything is leading to relaxation, good memories and smiles.
Like Redolessence i find the blend of variety of juicy zesty fruits and clean vetiver calming. The tenacity of the citruses is very much is welcomed too .
I do have a favorite Jovoy fragrance – Pavillon Rouge
Drinking hot cocoa in front of a crackling fireplace is one of the memories from my youth I’d bottle
    Thank you kindly EU

  • Jovoy I discovered 6 years ago , Remember Me and Private Label are in my possession now. Between the two I’d say I slightly prefer Private Label , the booziness is so strong on my skin, it’s so dry i absolutely love it.
The wearability and versatility of Aqua Memorabilis are intriguing , once again a winner by Francois Henin. Natural smelling clementines with spices and top performance would allow me to wear the fragrance all year long, no matter what the weather is.
My father is into Cuban cigars and rum , the mixture of both lingering in the air would be a bottled memory i’d gladly wear
    Thanks to all involved

  • Henin’s memory of clementines by the hearth is wonderfully evocative and immediately conjures that smell in my mind. Steven pointed out that the citrus in Aqua Memorabilis is tenacious and long lasting, which is hard to come by, while also being photo realistic. His video also showed off that unique, beautiful bottle. Glad to hear the aquatic aspects of this fragrance are light compared to the peppery citrus.

I haven’t tried any Jovoy Paris fragrances. If I were to bottle a childhood memory, it would be the smell of a crisp winter day in the woods, right after a heavy snowfall.

    I’m in the USA.

Since Psychedelique is my fave , and Francois Henin
nature is very much similar to mine I’d like to say I’m thankful for the chance of winning Aqua Memorabilis.
Taking into consideration my impressions of how not just him but everyone in Jovoy are only looking for brands and fragrances with authenticity, quality and uniqueness i’m convinced Aqua Memorabilis is a very special woody and citrucy fragrance.
It’s vital to me that Vanina Muracciole made Aqua Memorabilis not only in line with Francois Henin “by the fireside with clementines in his hands” childhood memory, but somehow made the citruses long lasting, and not just an aspect in the opening.
I’m thrilled by the article and the video, and to your question I’ll be happy to bottle one of my memories eating sugary ripe watermelon
    Many thanks , UK

  • The clementine memory give by Francois was very evocative and makes me a bit nostalgic for winter evenings myself! Steven’s clarity is as always helpful! The summery realistic citrus with the aromatic notes sounds really wonderful. My favorite Jovoy is Rouge Assassin, though I do like Sans un Mot a great deal too. I live in the US.

  • Once again all the Cafleurebon information delivered by Michelyn Camen and Redolessence made me wonder, and think for a while
Where I should even start with this time ?!? Should I start with Francois Henin the “ambassador of niche” , how there are 5 Jovoy boutiques in total , how it took two long years so Vanina Muracciole can make Aqua Memorabilis up to Francois Henin high standards or maybe the emotional connection between him and his memories as a kid ?
The zingy clementines, the smoke and vetiver all are equally as important for the forming of Aqua Memorabilis identity , and Iike the whole picture.
Unfortunately I have no experience with Jovoy fragrances . Eating sesame bars a few times per day is one of many memories I’d bottle

  • Considering the stressful times we’re living in at the moment , Aqua Memorabilis is like a mental getaway trip to the Italian coastline.
If you’re a fragrance enthusiast you know Jovoy , it’s that simple. Visiting the boutique if you’re in Paris is an absolute must.
Steven and Michelyn drew a cozy picture in my mind, Aqua Memorabilis is high end tranquil potion I’d love to win , woody fresh vacation.
Les Jeux Sont Faits is my favorite Jovoy , underrated tobacco and rum gem I own , I also own 10ml decant of Fire At Will
Mint chocolate chip ice cream I’d like to bottle, brings back memories

I enjoy greatly Jovoy Paris friendly approach towards everyone who enter the boutique . I had the pleasure of visiting last Summer, no one was pushing me to buy and I received recommendations by the sales associates only when I asked for a sophisticated boozy fragrance with tobacco. After smelling maybe a dozen i end up buying Jovoy own Pavillion Rouge.
Everything in the new Aqua Memorabilis is on its own place, the clean vetiver , delicious clementines, performance , the inspiration behind the fragrance and Redolessence genuine impressions. I’m I’m ready for exquisite Summer vacation , I’m ready for Aqua Memorabilis.
I’ve spent 3 years living in Istanbul Turkey between the age of 5 and 8 , and right across the street there was a Turkish Delight store . I’ll never forget how the store smells and if i could I’d bottle my memories there asap

There’s nothing basic on Cafleurebon , both the the fragrances and the fragrance information here are multidimensional every single time. Thanks to Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief for asking Francois Henin to share his insights on Aqua Memorabilis , talking to brand owners and perfumers is high valued , and one of my favorite things on Cafleurebon.
When I was a kid I wish we had a fireplace like Francois Henin had . Through Aqua Memorabilis I can book a flight and hotel in Martinique whiteout actually being there, you can’t beat that. Slightly sweet and zesty-woody review .
With the fearsome competitiveness on the market it’s not only about how a fragrance smells, i need longevity, nice presentation, originality and in general something to really grab my attention long term . Aqua Memorabilis definitely did the trick for me.
I saw we are asked to share our childhood memory we’d like to bottle , another thing I’ve never seen before, another wow .Grandma apple pie is the childhood memory I would bottle
To my taste Fire at Will is the best Jovoy fragrance

A zingy and zesty citrus fragrance sounds amazing on a hot summer day. Especially one that lasts. I love that there is vetiver and pepper in Acqua Memorabilis. I enjoyed reading that François Henin wanted to create a fragrance based on eating and treasuring clementines during the winter. For me, a childhood memory I would like to bottle is grape flavored popsicles eaten during the summer when the asphalt glitters and almost melts.
    I live in the USA.

  • First I decided to share my favorite childhood memory I’d like to bottle , our family trip to Naples and eating pear gelato a couple of times per day ☺
We share a lot of common objectives and principles, Francois Henin and I , as Artisan myself, I’m a leather arts craft woman I’m overjoyed of his creativity and how everything sums up nicely for Jovoy . Aqua Memorabilis is not just the great smelling aroma with the succulent clementines and woods, it’s also sophisticated and long lasting.
Creative ideas turned into reality always brings joy to the artist, not just Vanina Muracciole is an artists for being a renowned perfumer , Francois Henin is definitely an artist himself.
Aqua Memorabilis is comforting fragrance directly influenced by the cold weather evenings Francois Henin spent by the fireside as a child, and enjoying the clementines scent.
Quince jam with cardamom and pistachios on toast is a delicious memory I’d immediately bottle

    Hello Cafleurebon
It’s rare to see Redolessence so exited, that’s a statement on its own. If he believes the juiciness of the clementines and vetiver are making Aqua Memorabilis so addictive i can’t even imagine how good it is.
Like experienced Grandmaster (GM) Francois Henin moving all the pieces with ease on her own chessboard. I’ve always been a fan of how he was not really bothered by what other niche brands and boutiques were doing, and for years keeps igniting the interest of fragrance enthusiasts worldwide by his own style and methods .
In the Aqua Memorabilis chess game he would be the King, and Vanina Murraciole the Queen. She had two years to develop a fragrance that would remind Francois Henin of his favorite clementines and the smoke spirals of the fireplace. Absolutely I’d like to win a bottle
I’ll always remember how in 2nd grade I spilled wild blueberry juice on my grandfather’s handmade oak chess set , that’s the childhood memory I’d like to bottle

  • Captivating introduction and enthusiastic video about Aqua Memorabilis , job well done to Michelyn and Redolessence duo.
I can’t help but to be impressed how Francois Henin was able to achieve so much , there is a reason he’s considered the “ambassador of niche” .
I find Aqua Memorabilis delightful for the fresh start, vetiver and pepper on one part , and throwback to being a child on the other.
Other than wanting to win the fragrance I’d also love to visit Jovoy Paris in person , it will be so much fun especially if Francois Henin is there.
I do have a favorite Jovoy fragrance yes Fire at Will . Let’s see … I’d like to bottle the smell and taste of warm panettone

  • Jovoy Paris is by far the best fragrance boutique i’ve ever been to-no US boutique comes even remotely close , or it will ever be , and I believe Jovoy Mayfair , Qatar and South Korea are all following the footsteps of the older and more experienced sibling. Like Oli Marlow said in the Jovoy Mayfair article “a very Jovoy experience”, if you’ve been there you know.
When delightful clementines and woods meets sophistication and Francois Henin memories, then Aqua Memorabilis comes to play .
I’m more than happy to have my favorite Jovoy – Remember Me , and my second favorite Incident Diplomatique.
I’m a liquor lover , shout out to Olya Bar , and I’m thinking mulled wine with cloves , cinnamon, nutmeg, honey and slices oranges, Jovoy please bottle my Christmas childhood memory … and take my money 🙂

  • I’m a big Jeroboam fan with 3 in my possession Insulo , Gozo and Ambra, Jovoy fragrances i still haven’t smelled. I’m actually quite curious about what differentiates the two brands other than the fact all Jeroboam fragrances are created by Vanina Muracciole , but when it comes to Jovoy Francois Henin also works with other perfumers.
I like how you included extra information about the young Francois Henin hands smelling like clementines when he was sitting next to the fireplace , Vanina Muracciole was able to bottle the memory quite well. Just by reading Francois Henin thoughts and watching Redolessence video i visualized the exact same moment when after two whole years he told Vanina Muracciole “Now it’s perfect” .
When I was a kid my hands were often smelling like dates , candy floss and lemonade all together, I wish I was able to bottle the memory

  • “Jovoy Paris, led by the “ambassador of niche” Francois Henin, is the most well-known and respected retailer of luxury, hard to-find and artistic perfumes in the world with outposts in Paris, London, Qatar and South Korea”

Just like Michael Jordan in basketball In our beloved fragrance world Jovoy Paris boutique is THE GOAT boutique , the epitome of niche knowledge and service like no other.François Henin i had the absolute blast of meeting at Paris Jovoy boutique. There’s also a boutique in Le Mans France.

  • François Henin’s introduction is truly evocative, capturing the essence of memories that many of us can relate to—those simple yet profound moments that linger in our senses long after they’ve passed. Michelyn’s framing of Aqua Memorabilis as a scent rooted in specific, cherished memories beautifully aligns with the brand’s ethos of creating unique, artistic perfumes. Steven’s review adds depth, highlighting the balance of citrus and woods, which seems to perfectly embody the warmth and nostalgia that François described.

As a fan of Jovoy, especially the captivating Psychedelic, I’m always eager to see how new fragrances translate personal experiences into olfactory art. The idea of bottling a childhood memory is fascinating—I’d love to capture the crisp, dewy air of early morning playtime, where the world feels fresh and full of promise. Aqua Memorabilis sounds like a scent that will resonate on a deeply personal level for many, and I can’t wait to experience it!
