The newest offering from Jo Malone London, Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold Cologne Intense will be in store (and on my dresser in April) just in time for Spring. How can I resist?  The combination of tagetes (marigold) and Jasmine Sambac entice me. Céline Roux, Head of Fragrance Development worked with Mathilde Bijaoui of Mane (the perfumer for Poppy and Barley  and  the limited edition English Fields Collection ) to capture  the Queen of all flowers in an unusual and exotic  combination of ingredients.

“Jasmine sambac. The most precious jasmine of all. Pure white buds plucked at dawn. Fresh with dew. Coveted gems of the colourful Indian flower market. Glowing against vibrant marigold and exotic ylang ylang. A beautiful contrast of garlands. Entwined with rich benzoin resin. Enveloped by the warmth of vanilla and amber.”

On Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold Cologne Intense: “Jasmine sambac is the queen of all jasmine. I travelled to India to witness the moment the flower is picked – early in the morning when the blossoms have just opened, surrounded by serene countryside and beautiful women in saris treating the buds like precious jewels.” – Céline Roux, Head of Fragrance Development for Jo Malone

Marigold is a fairly unusual ingredient. Its fruity and aromatic facets contrast harmoniously with the fresh and natural tones of jasmine sambac. Together they capture the vibrancy of an Indian flower market.” Mathilde Bijaoui, Master Perfumer from MANE

One of my fave marigold scents was Origins Gloomaway. Will be interesting to experience Jo Malones take.
