Neo- “new, recent, or a new or modern form or development”. (Meriam Webster Dictionary)

Initio Parfums Privés Oud For Greatness has a cult-like following and we understand why, it has an allure and enigmatic aura few fragrances can match.

Oud for Greatness Neo by Intitio Parfums Prives

So how does Initio Parfums Privés Oud For Greatness NEO compare? It still has the “compliment factor” of the original, but emphasizes three ingredients- bergamot, sustainably sourced lavender and fir balsam. Saffron in the base creates the mysterious darkness that we love from the original while oud grounds the composition. NEO retains the DNA, but is much fresher and brighter -Michelyn

Used to be OUD for Greatness….are you going to make a 3rd scent and call it Trinity?

  • Natalie Hanson says:

I love Initio perfumes! I have 7 now and love all of them! I have not had the pleasure to try Oud for Greatness yet but would love to have the opportunity to try it!

As always, Steven’s video is compelling and educational. I think he’s one of the best and most inspiring YouTube fragrance personalities. His enthusiasm is palpable. My favorite Initio Parfums Prives fragrance is Side Effect. Sincere best wishes on the new scent.

  • Guillermo Rincon says:

This new release has me intrigued. I have been sampling various oud based fragrances lately, and the idea of a fresh version of OFG sounds pretty appealing to me. The fir note listed must be lovely too.

  • Ramses Perez says:

Initio’s Oud For Greatness is one of the most recognized (and also most cloned) fragrances out there, for a reason. It’s a fall/winter spicy staple of a fragrance! You will get compliments galore with this one! Neo seems to take the appeal of the original and then add the bergamot, lavender and fir balsam to give it a bit of a summery edge. I also love that Initio didn’t get rid of the saffron as that’s a monumental ingredient in the original. Great idea here, the original for fall/winter and Neo for spring/summer. My favorite Initio is Oud For Greatness with Rehab being a close second. Steven mentioned turning Oud For Greatness into a huge compliment getter with Neo (as if that wasn’t already happening), so I can only imagine the reactions one would get with this one. I follow cafleurebonofficial on Instagram and my username is Ramses.d.perez. Cheers from USA.

  • jlsteckley says:

Initio has a ton of banger fragrances and I’ve got almost all of them. Side Effect, Rehab, Paragon, etc. My favorite is Oud for Greatness. This new version is a must try. Can not wait. Please fragrance gods, help a brother out with this giveaway!!!

    From the USA

  • I don’t own any Initio fragrances, and that’s exactly why I’m here. I hear great things about them, and as a fraghead it is on my bucket list to own a full bottle.

  • I’ve smelled OFG but don’t own it, I also love it. This one definitely sounds great as Steven always describes fragrances well. Would love to have this for summer. My favorite Initio so far is Paragon.

i woul really actually like to get my hands on this baby, it seems tempting, beautiful, and something i would love to smell as a winter banger.

  • phuongmtran says:

After Steven’s rave review, I really want to try Oud for Greatness NEO. My favorite Initio fragrance is Absolute Aphrodisiac. My IG is phuongmttran. I am in CA, USA.

  • rhuynh2005@gmail.com says:

I had a chance to sample the original Oud for Greatness. From the Youtube review by Steven Gavrielatos, I bet this even better than the original. I can’t wait to try this out.

  • tonchachan says:

i would love to get my hands on this. it sound sexy, strong, masculine, just the type of fragrance i need for my collection

  • Amisha Robillard says:

From Steven’s review, he made it seem like a brighter version of the OG. I love the OG, but can only wear it in the winter time. With this one, I can enjoy the fragrance all year round.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I enjoyed hearing Steven’s take on this fragrance. I haven’t tried anything from this house, but a more versatile and mass appealing take on their already popular Oud for Greatness sounds like a wonderful introduction to this house. Thanks for sponsoring this amazing giveaway.

  • John Newfield says:

I loved his video. It was very informative on the new scene and I love the idea of a more approachable oud scent. My favorite Initio fragrance is Paragon. The plum is just phenomenal.

  • Andre Esquivel says:

This new release by Initio sounds so interesting, definitely intrigued by the bright aspect of it.

  • I was intrigued by the brightness that couldn’t be described. I haven’t tried an Initio to have a favorite. US

  • Mario Sherrill says:

This sounds amazing! Would love to get my nose on this. Thanks family for the article.

  • John J Kamauoha says:

I didn’t even know that a new one is out. I need this like yesterday

  • Oliver Jimenez says:

I’m looking forward to checking this out. It sounds perfect for the summer.

  • I would love to add this to my collection. I have the original Oud For Greatness, and the smell is fantastic. I can only imagine what Neo would smell like! I would be extremely grateful if I were selected for this draw. If not, to the winner, I hope you get to enjoy it to the fullest!

  • Very excited to hear about this! Oud for Greatness was my second niche purchase ever- made 1 month after my first, Aventus. I now consider PDM’S Haltane to be my signature scent- I prefer the praline and aromatic qualities to OFG’s leatheriness. I enjoyed Steven’s video and am sold- the bergamot and lavender should even it out more.

  • Martin Baltodano says:

Hi, I can’t wait to try this one, I own musk therapy and side effects which are amazing.
It would be thrilling to own this one too.
Shoutout to redolesscent for showing us new contents.

  • Loved the review; his descriptions are super helpful. But my favorite part is honestly his backdrop / location. Nicest collection and filming location of all time!

  • Sherin Thomas says:

I have been an ardent fan of OFG the OG version since the longest time. This one certainly adds a twist which intrigues me to get my nose on to it to see what the hype is all about. I hope this is a good lineage to the OG version and not a dud. Steven’s description about the scent is on spot to what the scent actually is

  • I am super excited about this fragrance, I have been a huge fan of Initio Parfums for awhile. My IG is @_JOMOMA_

  • Gladys Catalina Rivera says:

It is about time for me to try and Oud from Initio, this will be a great opportunity.

  • It’s exciting to read Michelyn’s thoughts of this one being a fresher take on the original DNA. I really enjoy lavender so to see it as a focal point makes me very happy. Steven seemed to really appreciate they way they managed to take what is arguably the darkest scent from Initio and make it a perfect spring/summer fragrance. This one sounds quite enigmatic to me. Best of luck to everyone. I live in NC, USA.

  • Danial Hashmi says:

I liked Steven’s video, I enjoyed the OG but wanted something more wearable. I love absolute aphrodisiac and use my bottle very sparingly in the fall and winter time

    Hashmidanial

  • Rob Rindone says:

This definitely sounds like a must try. The way Steven described and raved about this makes it even more appealing. Love oud for greatness and adding that freshness sounds amazing. Can’t wait to smell this!

  • I think Steven’s video, like all of his videos, was informative and well presented without talking down to the viewer. His passion is apparent. My favorite Initio offering is the one and only Paragon!

Oh and my instagram name is @jackmerius__tacktheratrix!

  • I heard of your generous giveaway on my go to fragrance review YouTube channel, Redolessence!
My favorite Initio fragrances are Oud for Greatness and Narcotic Delight ✨
    Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Steven is very good. It’s very informative of when the scent can be worn. At this moment REHAB is my favorite.

  • Avichai Benisty says:

Your content is the most honest and good there is… I just love listening to you every time.. This version of Oוd for Greatness is super interesting,, Thank you for the giveaway chance <3

  • HueloBien says:

Oud for Greatness is a fragrance I tried and liked but I haven’t acquired yet.

I tried Side Effect as well, but I think OFG has more strength, which I appreciate and prefer.
The way Stephen described it is very appealing. The fact that is a twist of the original, it makes me to want it.

I would love to add it to my collection.

    Cheers,

  • PhrozenFource says:

Super excited about getting my hands on this. Oud for Greatness was a banger by itself so I know NEO is going to hit hard!

  • Gordon Henderson says:

I would be curious to see how this smells compared to Haltane from PDM. This is an absolute must for Father’s Day!

  • Shannon Peterson says:

I am intrigued and looking forward to smelling it. My favorite initio is side effect.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

The brightness described by Steven in this fragrance is super appealing. Perfect for summer. I can’t wait to get my nose on Neo! I don’t have a favorite Initio fragrance, maybe Musk Therapy. My insta name is Eris.can.swatch.kaos. I live in Oregon.

  • Wendell A. Thomas says:

As a true lover of fragrances, I would love to try this new scent. I can only imagine just how great it really is!

  • Armando Esparza says:

Love the OG Oud for Greatness! As more of a summer fragrance appreciator, I’m dying to try this and Steven’s review for Oud for Greatness Neo certainly assured my need to try this! Thank you Steven and Cafleurebon for the opportunity to win this.

  • MatthewKeilwitz says:

Oud for Greatness was my intro to niche fragrance culture, and a very expensive but worthwhile passion. This approachable yet unique mystery in a bottle became the first entry in my collection, and it’s still one of my cornerstones. Definitely my favorite of the house’s products.
And that is in no small part due to a video that Steven made (and that I just happened to stumble upon purely by chance) quite a few years back. And yet here we are again. A new video has given birth to another powerful curiosity. How on earth are they going to take a brooding, liquid question mark and turn it into something fresh? Something less suited for a jazz club and more suited for a warm weather work space?

I don’t know, but the rare excitement in Steven’s eyes has me more than intrigued. I’d certainly love to find out.

  • Fantastic video Steven. I cannot wait to get my nose on this new gem. Your description has only made me more excited about this new release. My favorite Initio fragrance is currently Paragon, but I sure would love to add Oud For Greatness Neo to my collection. @scott.sirchio

  • Jose Hernandez says:

Omg… I decanted OFG and I absolutely love it. This sounds like exactly down my alley. I can’t wait to get my hands on this!

  • Tulga Erarslan says:

I like most of Initio fragrances. This house has a great DNA. I didn’t know they released Neo. I am vey excited. Can’t wait to try it.

  • From Steven’s video I really like how he compares it to the original Oud For Greatness and talks about the main differences between the two. He describes the feeling of wearing this scent really well.

So far I would say my favorite Initio Parfums Privés fragrance would be “Side Effect.”

I also appreciate the Michelyn highlighted the 3 main notes that differ in this fragrance from the original.

  • Would love to compare to the original and most importantly oud for happiness! Since oud for happiness is the fresh offering. Take me into consideration! Instagram is akidnaneddavew

  • The original Oud for Greatness was a all time favorite of mines, now Bam we have an even better more exciting and amazing version that has been released to grace us with a more warm and captivating scent profile. I look forward to smelling and enjoying this beautiful fragrance from Initio

  • I was just in Bloomingdale’s and sniffed this. Fell in love! I’d love to get a full bottle.

  • Raymond Broom says:

Hope i win,son is handicap and i need something to reinvigorate my confidence since i dont get out much

  • Vernessa De Jesus says:

I first heard about Neo via email and was a tiny bit interested. BUT your video made me WANT it!!!!!! I didn’t realize that it was bright, a lil citrusy, and best of all, spring and summertime friendly!!!!!

  • jermaine augustus says:

I’m really looking forward to trying this out first hand! Thanks.

  • Oud of Greatness is that one tester that you try and you still cant finish it cause it smells so good, plus the price of the big bottle. Really interested in what Neo offers since Neo usually follows something in anime. Neo Tokyo as a example from Akira. Hopefully I’ll enjoy Neo too

  • Initio is hands down my favorite fragrance house. I am actually currently wearing my favorite summer scent Musk Therapy. I can’t wait to get my nose on this and add another freshy to my collection! My Instagram name is dam_ien_

  • Feel like a must try perfume , the versatile oud scent smooth and suitability for even warmer months says it all !.

My favourite from prive is oud for greatness but not at all affordable.

  • Haltane from Parfums de Marly & Oud For Greatness get a lot of comparisons to one another-for good reason. I couldn’t help but notice that OFG Neo AND Haltane have a bergamot opening. How does OFG Neo and Haltane compare to one another?

  • Ricky Young says:

Enjoyed the video. I can almost smell Neo with Steven’s description! The notes he listed sound amazing. A bright, energetic opening with bergamot and lavender; a rich base of saffron and oud. Side Effect is probably my favorite from Initio but after seeing the video there might be a new favorite.

  • realtyisme says:

Another great review by Steven. I found the OG, Oud For Greatness to be a Compliment Magnet. This one seems to take it up a notch. I’m looking forward to the olfactive experience NEO has to offer.
My favorite from Initio, so far, is Side Effect.

  • Luis Eduardo Céspedes Mora says:

I would like you add this fragrance to my collection and enjoy it.

  • TheHonkyTonkMan says:

Loved the video. I would like to compare this with my favorite Initio Oud for Greatness. @deevuhhliscious

  • Loved the video Steven! My favorite Initio is Rehab, but I’d love to try the new OFG Neo!

  • Wow Steve another fantastic review!
I like how you addressed that this one has way more mass appeal then the original, also the projection is better and how you said this is also more of a warmer weather fragrance compared to the original Oud For Greatness.
I like how Initio took something that’s already a masterpiece and created a more versatile warmer weather version.
The original oud for greatness is so far my best one from the house of Initio.

  • Brightening up Oud For Greatness is a wild concept to me. The thought of this has never crossed my mind. I really would like to get my nose on this because Oud For Greatness is one of my favorite fragrances in my collection so to be able to experience this scent profile in a brighter, fresher direction has me excited. I need this in my life lol. Steven speaks so highly abut this opening and how bright it is. Sounds like a must have.

My favorite favorite scent from Initio Parfums is Oud for Greatness. It is one of only two bottles in my collection that I have went through an entire bottle before.

  • Mr Smell Good (Joel) says:

I have been a lover of Oud For Greatness since 2018 when I smelled it on a friend, i got it for my Christmas within the same year and is still 1 I will forever have in my collection.

  • emancebo13 says:

I think Steven’s review is right on the money. Oud for Greatness Neo was the first Initio fragrance I tried less than a week ago, along with the original and Side Effect.

I agree with Steven, this is a more aproachable version of the original, providing a fresh opening, with the same DNA. Perfect for a wider audience and warmer seasons.

Oud for Greatness is my favorite from Initio. My IG is emancebo13. Thanks!

  • Ross York says:

I really didn’t like oud as a scent until I sampled oud for greatness, I’m looking forward to winning this competition ✌️

  • Excited about this release and cannot wait to smell it. Oud for Greatness is my favorite scent from Initio, followed by Atomic Rose, but I’m hoping this one will take one of their throne. My instagram handle is the_scent_profile

  • calin1987 says:

Great review. I really love the Initio brand, but my favorite is by far Oud for Greatness. Really curious about the Neo twist, to be honest.

  • Nikhil Mediratta says:

The usage of bergamot as a note in a successful fragrance like oud for greatness is very interesting! Very excited to try this flanker. Steven’s video, like always, is very structured and informative.

  • I absolutely love the art of the bottle and box! Thank you Steven for putting something else on my “to try” list!

  • FragheadS says:

My favorite from the house is absolute aphrodisiac and after seeing steven’s video I am just so intrigued to try this new offering. Steven as always covered all the nuances of the fragrance perfectly.

  • Initio’s parfum bottles are always art pieces! This one is looks so mystic and gloomy, just love it. From Steven’s video I think it is a very wearable, croud-pleasing oud. My favorite Initio Parfums Privés fragrance paragon.

  • elenitsaa says:

Not having too much experience with Oud, Steven made the Oud sound magical in this fragrance. I do find oud sexy if it not too animalic. The combination of Lavender interests me and seems like a great balance note. Glad I watched the video.
Side effect is what I love the most so far.

  • deronjuan says:

I was one of the few who felt that “Greatness” was a better fragrance that “Glory”. I cannot wait to smell this new take on the DNA!

  • afternoir says:

Great review as usual Steven. Haven’t tried any Initio before. This does sound great. I’m a fan of oud and the very idea of fresher version of the original Oud for greatness is very intriguing.. Fantastic looking bottle.

  • I love when Steven explained top notes of Bergamot, smooth Lavender. I love oud but I don’t know about lavender and saffron. Sounds appealing and sexy. I will love to try it. My favorite Initio is Oud For Greatness.

  • Fragrance collector says:

Steven is super descriptive with his reviews. I’ve made some amazing purchases off based on his reviews. Love ouds and would really like to try Intio.
Neo to me seems to be a fresh take on the OFG which makes it even more easy to carry and versatile at the same time.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Steven makes this sound so rich. I love his reviews as he is so thorough. I’d love to try this. My fav is Oud for greatness. I live in Indiana.

  • I really like Oud for Greatness but always thought it needed something. The Bergamot and Balsam forgiving fresh and green notes should be great. It will be interesting to smell the combo with lavender. Based on the video which was very informative it should smell great. I look forward to smelling this one. Winning a bottle would be wonderful too.

  • Terry Hollifield says:

This sounds super interesting! I’m hoping that it doesn’t lose the magic of the original. *If* it can keep that and add this new freshness, there’s no way it won’t be a stunner.

  • Steven seems really pumped up about this one. I like that they kept the core DNA of the original and decided to freshen it up. Sometimes flankers are only related in name only and smell nothing like the originals. My favorites from the house are side effect and oud for greatness. @papa09295 USA NYC

  • Michael Joslin says:

Steven’s review has me very interested. I’ve never tried anything from Initio but this sounds right up my alley. The season is just now warming up and this would be perfect. My insta name is mj_goblue.

  • Your review made me excited to get my nose on this. I am a big Side Effects fan though.

  • Love Steven’s comparison to the original in his video. Great article and my favorite from Initio is oud for greatness.

  • Artur Lutter says:

This perfume is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you open the bottle, you’re greeted with a delightful blend of captivating scents that are both elegant and long-lasting. It’s perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a casual day out or a formal event. The fragrance is well-balanced, not too overpowering, yet strong enough to leave a lasting impression. Plus, the bottle design is sleek and sophisticated, adding a touch of luxury to your collection. You’ll receive compliments everywhere you go. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make a statement with their scent!

  • Froaderick says:

Oh no…so they took Oud for Greatness and created a flanker geared toward Spring/Summer?! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Steven’s description of a bright, energizing opening with the dark, mysterious backbone of the original sounds like a must-have. Love the original and Side Effect from this house for Fall/Winter. Can’t wait to get my nose on this!! Cheers from Ohio, USA. Following on IG under fresh_n_delcious (it’s a long story lol).

  • Wow, never though Initio could release a new Oud for Greatness but make it even better.

  • So curious to how this new one smells love Stevens description of the scent side effects one of my favorites

I posted this last night about the new OFG Neo and just reread the post. I want an extra entry. Hope this still counts! IG- rickyy1123

  • I loved Oud for greatness, but sometimes for some reason in hot weather is a bit too much, not in a good wild way, besides the smell is simply perfection. I don´t especially like the smell of Oud for Happiness, but the aura that creates after hours of using it, is like a very few perfumes I have had, soft, appealing and confortably happy indeed. I have high hopes on this new realease to be the perfect combination of a heavenly aura and a gorgeus mouthwatering smell strong enough for cold weather and fresh for the hottest.

  • I love the original Oud for Greatness. This new one sounds like a great signature scent version of it. I need this! I enjoyed Steven’s analysis. My favorite initio is Oud for Greatness and side effect is a close second. Insta name: mo_fo_sho3

  • The original version is one of my absolute favourite everyday wear. It works perfectly with my skin chemistry. Being from the middle east this just suites me like custom tailored suit!

  • Holy crap. I had to create an account just to post my thoughts on this scent (OFG Neo). I tested it at Saks this past weekend and was blown away. It’s like the OG OFG but sweeter and slightly nuttier. I took a testing strip home and placed it on my dresser on the other side of my bedroom and didn’t think anything else of it.

Two days later I kept smelling this amazing smell in my room, I thought it might be something from my wife but then she went out of town. The next day, now day three, I’M STILL SMELLING IT. Like, it woke me up in the middle of the night. I started sniffing around the room and was led to the testing strip.

This is an unbelievably intoxicating scent and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. It’s now been 6 days and I’m still. Smelling. It. It’s pricey, for sure. Is it worth it? I dunno. Is GREATNESS worth it? You betcha. Buying this as soon as I take out a mortgage on my house.

  • gabriel94 says:

ufff this has to be good really manly and deep for what i hear in the review

  • WillRhodes says:

Love your video reviews Steven! What a great giveaway. I love Oud for Greatness and Neo definitely seems to be elevated. I love the addition of lavender. The super bright and crisp opening sound heavenly. Taking the dark and rich Oud for Greatness and making it more aromatic is the direction I’m so happy it went. The warm touch of fir balsam to add some earthiness is a great touch as well. This is the pep in my step I need! Would love to own this one so much 🙂

I have to agree with Steve, got so tired of “intense”, “Elixir”, etc for the flankers. This is a different. Sounds very close to the original. my favorite of the line is Musk Therapy and Blessed Baraka. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • I need to sample this, love the normal oud for greatness so i expect a lot from this one!

  • I already enjoy the original but NEO sounds incredible with the focus on bergamot, lavender and balsam fir. Steven’s review of it makes me want to run out and buy this immediately! I love everything my Initio Parfums.

  • Fantastic review, and video, as always. I’ve never experienced any of Initio’s Black Gold Project line, but this release sounds like an absolute home run. Side Effect, Rehab, and Atomic Rose are my current favorites from the house; but I hope to get my nose on the Oud line ASAP. Thanks for the content and insight.

  • So excited about this new fragrance. I adore our for greatness and musc therapy but this new addition sounds brilliant

  • Cesar Abreu says:

Now this is the Ying and the Yang! The perfect nature and balance. Love to have this part (Neo) to complete the other!

  • Oud for Greatness is my favorite of the Initios I’ve sniffed, so the idea of a flanker that’s reminiscent of the original, but brighter, sounds great to me. Steven’s video made this sound just perfect. A version of Oud for Greatness that could be worn in warmer weather? Sign me up! I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • As a customer of the fragrance house of Initio Parfum Prives, I was receiving their newsletter and saw the hype about this new fragrance drop Oud For Greatness NEO. This heightened my curiosity about this scent so I search on YouTube and ran into the perfect review by Steven Gavrielatos. Though I won’t be getting it now because it’s a little out of my budget, Steven has me even more excited and gave me something to look forward to in the near future. I am now subscribed to his YouTube channel and subscribed to CaFleureBon for any Perfume must haves and in hopes to maybe getting my hands on this fragrance sooner than I anticipate. Thank you for reading. – Charlie

I enjoyed Steven’s video. I love oud for greatness and I am goad they made a fresher one. Steven explained they added bergamot and Lavender to brighten it up and “it works”. I would love to try it because Fresh oud is my thing..Favorite initio is oud for greatness.

  • Wow, Oud for Greatness is as iconic as it gets…now they’ve made it fresher. What a unique twist for an already amazing fragrance. I have to get my nose on this!

  • I haven’t tried the original Oud For Greatness (or any Initio Parfums fragrance), so Michelyn’s comparison gives me a succinct introduction to both versions. The saffron in the base sounds terrific. And Steven raved about the crisp, fresh, “vivacious and effervescent” lavender and bergamot opening to this NEO flanker, which is a really interesting combination with the DNA of Initio Parfums super-dark fragrance. The earthy-green fir balsam is a smart bridge between that opening and the leathery base. Love the enthusiastic review. Cool bottle too!

I’m in the midwest, USA. I follow @cafleurebonofficial as @mmerline. Thanks for the giveaway.

My favorite Initio fragrance is Oud for Greatness and its intoxicating scent has dethroned my previous winter and fall favorites. Steven seemed very excited about Oud for Greatness Neo and his video has got me intrigued about the new flanker. OfG can be a bit heavy of a scent to wear in the hotter months, so I’m looking forward to smelling the Neo version in hopes that it is more universally wearable in various climates whilst still retaining the DNA we know and love.

This sounds like a great summer fragrance. I’ve smelled Oud for Greatness, if this has the same DNA and is fresher, I’m all in.

I like how Steven said that the compliment factor on this fragrance has been amped up. This has better projection & longevity in comparison to Oud for Greatness. Flankers can be a hit or miss, looks like they his this one out the park according to Steven.

  • Fresher and brighter sounds great, thanks Michelyn. Love the note breakdown and description, Stephen. Would be fun to try this one. US

There aren’t many times where you have niche fragrance offering that is truly all-season, all-occasion versatile. Most creations are highly specific. I’m really excited about this fragrance because I think the OG DNA is a modern classic. Fragrances like this suit my personal style well. Given Steven’s explanation, this lives up to the name flanker. Would really like to win this giveaway. Appreciate the opportunity; thanks and many blessings from Virginia, USA.

I love initio and I would be very thankful to get oud for greatness as I have heard great things. Steven’s video also gave great insight on the scent.

  • Uncle1979 says:

Definitely not very big on compliments, the most important thing to me is how the fragrance smells and if it makes me feel good. Original Oud for Greatness i don’t know too , there are two Initio Parfums I know , own and love , Oud for Happiness, and Side Effect.
☆Oud for Happiness to me smells like Space Cake , with lots of ginger, you can get in most coffee shops in Netherlands , and now in some states in US.
☆ Side Effect, smells similar to Vanilla Bean Bundt Cake , drizzled with Rum. Early December I ordered my second bottle from Twisted Lily.
Steven’s and Michelyn takes on Oud for Greatness NEO instantly made me think of the open air , Golden wedding anniversary i cooked for, and attended later on last week 🙂 Moist Earl Grey Lavender Cake is the cake I made for the anniversary, and thanks to Steven and Michelyn i imagined already dressed up eating the cake, drinking bergamot juice and enjoying Barry White medley voice coming from the speakers.
I’d gladly embrace Oud for Greatness NEO right away , is perfect for such happy people chill time moments .
Appreciate Michelyn extra information about the fragrance and the sustainably sourced ingredients, Steven’s review, and the giveaway campaign

This new release has me really excited. I have been trying out a few oud based fragrances lately, and the very idea of fresh version of OFG sounds pretty appealing to me.My favorite Initio Parfums Prives fragrance is Side Effect.

  • This sounds so good for almost every weather! I don’t have a oud based perfume in my collection, and I love this accord , so I’d love to try Initio Parfums OFG neo. Looking at the notes, the bergamot, lavender seem to give it a bit of a summery edge in my opinion. My last purchase was Paragon from the house.

  • ScentNScent says:

As always, Steven’s video was very compelling and interesting at the same time the fragrance sounds incredible. I love the note breakdown. Unfortunately, I havent had the opportunity to smell anything from Initio Parfums, but I would love to try them all. I live in Houston Texas and would like to enter the giveaway. Thanks

  • Lophoflora336 says:

Wow that bottle is a work of art. I’m not extremely familiar with oud but this description sounds divine. This one definitely sounds great as Steven always describes fragrances well. Would love to have this for summer.Thank you for the generous raffle.

  • fragrancegorlie says:

To be honest, I haven’t smelled an oud fragrance that I have really loved yet. Maybe this one will be different. If Steven says it is great then I have to imagine it is. Steven has a great nose for fragrance. Either way, the bottle is beautiful and would make a fantastic addition to any collection, if for nothing more than the aesthetics alone. Cheers

Oud for Greatness NEO is right up my alley fragrance, not overly aggressive fresh sexy , woody, spicy and aromatic with really round up characteristics.
I like how how Steven and Michelyn spoke of the zesty bergamot, wearability and the whispers of leather too . All aspects of the fragrance I find attractive, energetic aspects do add even more to the picture.
Double Breasted Black Two piece custom tailored suit , crafted from an Zegna fabrics , black Chelsea boots, with Fold Silk Paisley Necktie, matching cufflinks and pocket square is the outfit suited for Oud for Greatness NEO.
I know 4 Initio Parfums fragrances Side Effect , Oud for Greatness , Atomic Rose and Psychedelic Love , and also in my possession is Side Effect , my favorite.
Thank you Michelyn, Steven and Fine Fragrances Distribution

  • I love the idea of added bergamot and lavender! Almost a fougere aspect to a sultry woodsy leathery oud. I think it sounds amazing. Thank you for the giveaway. I’m in California.

Intio sounds like they did it again! Would love to get my nose under this one ‼️

It could be the hedione, or the quality sustainably sourced ingredients, or maybe the perfumers ,but as a vain man i can say one thing for absolute certainly , all Initio Parfums Prives fragrances are highly seductive and appreciated by the ladies, clubs , concerts, dates , they just work. It comes to no surprise me that Michelyn and Steven spoke of the “compliment factor” of both original Oud for Greatness, and the new Oud for Greatness NEO , it’s something I do expect from every Initio Parfums Prives fragrance.
With NEO we have one modern, with slight hints to the classics multifaceted brand new fragrance , wearing it i know i’ll get a lot of positive attention, smelling amazing. The bergamot and lavender, spicy and woody aspects are all so appealing to me,and the overall freshness will give the fragrance the modern feel i’m looking for.
Side Effect is my favorite Initio Parfums Prives fragrance, one of my best and most complimented fragrances ever.
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA

I’m a huge fan of Oud for Greatness. Before I started collecting, this was my grail piece. I was a bit bummed at first thinking this was going to be a Harrods only exclusive. This sounds so beautiful and your review makes me want this more. A true flanker sounds so exciting.

“Initio Parfums Privés Oud for Greatness has a cult-following..”

No doubt about it , enigmatic and easily recognizable fragrance not only by fragrance connoisseurs , but by a lot of “I do have 1-5 fragrances” people . I wear fragrances for my own pleasure only , but indeed most people seem to like it.
Since I know the original very well , and had the pleasure of smelling NEO i can see the parallel Michelyn and Steven made between the two , NEO opening and base is indeed fresher and more zingy, the darker and earthy undertones are toned down but surprisingly in the drydown to me NEO is getting sweeter , and at least on my skin is closer to Haltane by the sister company Parfums de Marly. Oud for Greatness and Haltane are close cousins anyway, but the praline from Haltane i can also easily detect in Oud for Greatness NEO.
I’m well familiar with all Initio Parfums fragrances , and if I have to rate my favorite ones , depending on the mood I’m in:
    1. Side Effect / Narcotic Delight
    2. Oud for Happiness / Oud for Greatness
    3. Oud for Greatness NEO/ Blessed Baraka
    All profiles I already follow , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

Love the sound of this new Initio fragrance and from Steven’s video how it compared to Oud for Greatness. I personally love most of the offerings from Initio like Atomic Rose and Musk Therapy but Oud for Greatness is my favorite so watching Steven allude to this being a better version will definitely put it on my wish list!

  • Amanda32828 says:

Another awesome review by Steven, very detailed and with a lovely description of this wonderful fragrance. My favorite Initio parfum right now is Oud for Greatness, but I really love them all. I have my eyes set in Musk Therapy but OFG Neo it’s very tempting. Commenting from Orlando, FL. USA.

  • When I saw the name of the new fragrance , and the image via the brand at first I thought Oud for Greatness NEO is inspired by Thomas Anderson aka Nio , the character from The Matrix played by Keanu Reeves , is it really??
I’m one of those people who cult-like follow Oud for Greatness , considered not just by me , my Initio Parfums Neiman Marcus sales associate , but by so many others Initio best offering , and I’m sure I’d enjoy Oud for Greatness NEO too.
I feel like Oud for Greatness is formal occasions cold weather only fragrance , the way i wear it at least , but NEO relative is very much easier to wear, fresher with emphasis on ethically sourced lavender, fir balsam and bergamot too. To me is a good thing Oud for Greatness NEO retains the DNA of the original fragrance, I really like fact that the darker elements are still there.
Honestly speaking i’d absolutely love to win NEO
    Thanks for the draw

Of course I’m aware of how big of a fragrance Oud for Greatness is, and the cult-like following is a nice way to put it , but in reality I’ve never smelled it, not yet at least.

Michelyn and Steven moved me, and I’ll order a sample right away. I’m also feel uber enthusiastic about Oud for Greatness NEO , feels addictive, gently spicy , woody ,leathery and earthy fragrance i need to know.
Rehab is my SOTD smells similar to Lavender French Hard Candy from L’Ami Provencal i purchase regularly for many, many years from Amazon. The other two Initio Parfums fragrances I love are Side Effect and Blessed Baraka
    Thank you for the opportunity

I’m excited for this, I always thought oud for happiness was the lighter version of oud for greatness but this has my full attention.

  • Max Corvinus says:

I expected something much darker. Alas, this one disappointed me from the description.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the lovely writeup Steven.

This sounds like a really interesting take on the original Oud for Greatness. Really nice to see that it’s been upped in the brightness and freshness. I’m really enjoying the description of how the bergamot and the fir balsam are adding to this fragrance.

    Cheers from WI, USA
