EVERYTHING MUST CHANGE: Penhaligon’s Orange Blossom by Bertrand Duchaufour

My first Duchaufour was the original Jo Malone's Grapefruit; yes, that is right… he composed it in the early 1990s. It is much changed from the original, which never smelled like grapefruit, but what the idea of  grapefruit could be. But  it showed that even 12 years ago, Bertrand could have his way with any ingredient and turn it upside its head.

I am a huge fan of orange blossom soliflores and perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour (in that order). I have written at least four articles about the "other white flower".

A sneak peak at the new reformulation of Penhaligon's Orange Blossom fragrance by Bertrand Duchaufour. Mark Behnke will be reviewing the fragrance in depth. My only comment is that each time I say this is the "quintessential" Duchaufour, I am proven wrong, This is it for me (until the next one).

"Originally created in 1976, Orange Blossom has been transformed into a luminous honeyed floral. Lush with Calabrian orange, bergamot, tempered with Virginian cedar, rose and peach flower.

Orange Blossom has been created by master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour and is inspired by the original formulation"
