What is the perfect provenance? Provenance, literally means a place of origin; a term most often used to origins of masterworks of art. Referencing the MOMA store as inspiration, her mission is a museum experience in a retail environment. The idea is to discover, curate and exhibit artisan products from around the world which will be featured in four or five exhibitions a year. The first exhibition debuting this spring is, "We'll Alwayes Hav Paris," homage to American and French design

At the presentation Lisa gave us an enlightening overview of several collaborations and partnerships, noting the level of craftsmanship and uniqueness.  One example that resonated with me is DPM Fragrance, part of the Candle & Diffusers Collection. Mallory Ramsey, Customer Experience Manager for DPM stated that ambient scenting has the ability to change ones environment. She explained how DPM manufacturers a multiple of high quality candle line products which are all hand crafted/ hand-poured in Starkville, Mississippi. The company is eco-friendly (ex: recycled glass) and use the highest quality materials. The fragrances are designed in-house with the assistance of some of Symrise’s finest perfumers.

Operation Smile/ Three Little Bears:

Since 2010, Lisa and her family have raised more than $2 million to support Operation Smile through numerous events and initiatives such as The Three Little Bears which was created with her friend, Kathy Van Zeeland. Each Bear is named after one of her boys, Zachary, Luke and Griffin, which were born with a rare medical condition called facial paralysis. Through life changing transplant surgeries, they were able to smile. It was their children's surgeon, Dr. Ronald Zuker who introduced them to Operation Smile.  Every product within the Smile Collection benefits Operation Smile (Sunshine Limone is included in the collection). Lisa was thrilled that Lady Gaga recently was pictured with one of the Bears arriving at the airport.

This is a great example of entrepreneurship with a cause. There is nothing like the smile of a person and, esp., the smile of a child! Ambient scenting is a growing industry and more and more retail companies are paying attention to it. It is apparent from the article the market for home is also ripe. My choice for the draw will be Sunshine Limone. Thanks a lot for the generous draw. I am in the US.
