Escentric 01 M + Patchouli, Escentric 01 M + Mandarin and Escentric 01 M+ Iris Reviews (Geza Schoen) 2021 + Iso e Super plus draw

Iso E Super Escentric Molecule 01 M+ collection

Geza Schoen, Escentric Molecule 01 M+ and Iso E Super collage by Michelyn

Yesterday, I posted an in-depth interview with perfumer Geza Schoen about the new Escentric 01  M + collection, which are three new fragrances based on the cult favorite Escentric 01, which debuted in 2005. Before we get to Sebastian’s reviews, I am going to explain to those who are new to the brand the difference between Molecule 01and Escentric 01. Molecule 01 is the aromachemical Iso e Super in a bottle. That’s it. This was a radical idea 16 years ago, although Iso E Super had been used in fragrances before, notably tiny amounts in Halston for Women(1975) then in 1988 an overdose of 25  percent in Dior Farenheit. Iso E super has a woody velvety sandalwood profile but when worn on its own, it can be muted to your own nose but others pick up its scent trail. Escentric 01 is based on Iso e super but also contains according to Geza,” topnotes are lime and pink pepper, the heart has a big chunk of hedione, and this orris note, next to mastic, incense and musks including some other woody booster with a base of 65% iso e super“. Now with the new Escentric Molecules M+ collection, Herr Schoen features Escentric 01 with patchouli, iris and mandarin-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Amazing videos as always I’ve falling in love with escentric molecules these but I’m massively into iso e super I watch all the fragrance communities online the m+ mandarian sounds right up my street !!! Stay safe keep the videos coming thanks jack coates u.k

  • Great review! I’ve been interested to see Sebastian’s review for this line since yesterday’s article. I’ve tried a few of Escentric Molecules perfumes in Paris. To me they defined modern minimalist perfumery. You can really see that they inspired a lot of other houses and perfumes such as Le Labo Another 3 and Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume.
I would love to try the new M+ patchouli since patchouli is my favorite note. I’m intrigued about their take on patchouli.
Thank you for the generosity of the giveaway. I live in France.

  • Deja….view? But wow! I certainly didn’t know Fahrenheit had so much Iso E! Also didn’t know that the heart of the molecule had a big chunk of hedione. No wonder people go gaga for the stuff. Never was the biggest fan of Molecule 01 myself, but having sampled the range up to Escentric 04, the latter was easily my favourite. Would love to win Escentric M1+mandarin! Spring and summer are the times for citrus! No surprise Sebastian’s fav was the patchouli. Patch hoes unite. lol Canada.

  • IcarusMidAir says:

I was surprised to realise that Molecule 01 is, in fact, just the one aromachemical and nothing else added to it! And that it lunched almost 2 decades ago. For some reason, I was under the impression it was a more recent release. That just speaks to how popular of a fragrance it is!

If I were to win one of the bottles, I would go for the Escentric M+ Iris.
I am based in the EU. Thanks so much!

  • zhiang0113 says:

From Michelyn’s post, I really enjoyed the story of the conception of the Molecule + series – about how it was created by as a gift for his partner! That was a sweet and very romantic gesture! I personally think the dry, starchy notes of orris would also go very well with the woody-ambery notes of Iso E Super, and it sounds like a fantastic combination!

From Sebastian’s review, I gained a deeper appreciation for the careful selection of the materials to ensure that they have synergy with Iso E Super. In particular, the iris + Iso E Super sounds like they would complement each other particularly well.

I deeply appreciate Escentric Molecules’ concept of bringing aroma molecules to the forefront of fragrance, for they are the workhorses of perfumery and also deserve to have time in the spotlight! I own Escentric 02 and enjoy the aromatic burst of freshness at the top, and the drydown has a je ne sais quoi quality to it.

I live in the UK, and would love to be able to win Escentric M+ Iris. Thank you to CaFleureBon and Escentric Molecules for hosting the giveaway!

  • Juan Granados says:

Hi I’ve been hearing good things about molecule , I’ve never owned one myself and now these new fragrances are coming out it’s pretty exciting.

  • Heather C English says:

I have been intrigued with Escentric Molecules for what seems like forever. I have long conversations with my dearest friend about fragrances and we discussed in great detail when she got to smell it at a shop in Seattle before it was available in Portland. I was actually just about to blind buy a bottle of 01 because I need to know! I need to experience this. I think the combination of the Molecule 01 with Mandarin sounds fantastic. Bright fruit with woody muskiness, what could be better?
    I am in Portland OR.

  • Minimalism is something that’s very close to my heart, so I find Escentric Molecules very intriguing. The story of coming up with the brand is very similar to many scientific discoveries, which seems very on brand.
I had no idea that you can train your nose to smell ISO E Super, I could always smell it. It’s very comforting for me and I love it in Dior Homme 2020. I would love to win the Iris one. It seems like a very subtle and elegant combination.
    I’m from Poland.

  • BlackWolf6420 says:

I’ve learned that my nose can fail me with ISO1 but not others. Based on Sebastian’s review I’d like to see on my shelf either M+Iris or M+Mandarin, whichever works better. I don’t mind. I live in UK and defo a fan of ESO 1

  • IOANNIS PAPADIMITRIOU says:

Amazing video and thanks for the opportunity to try one of those! Iso e super is a great molecule and molecule 01 is my favorite from the line! All sound great but the M+Mandarin sounds lovely and i would love to try M+Iris too! I am from Greece.

  • Good review. I never tried these fragrance before but Molecule 01 +Mandarin sounds good to me.

  • Tracy Teel says:

I fell in love with following niche and indie perfumery by accidentally stumbling across Sebastian’s Youtube channel and immediately subscribing a while back. Some of the first videos I watched were the ones on the different Escentric Molecules, so I splurged and ended up buying the 1-4 sampler box. (I’m still looking forward to getting #5). I really love ISO-E Super, but I also fell in love with Ambroxan (#2), Vetiver (#3), and Sandalwood/Javanol (#4) because of what I learned from Sebastian’s videos, articles I read about Geza Schoen’s artistry, and the sampler box.

Two days ago, I got really excited when I saw the Geza Schoen interview pop up on my queue, and I watched that. Then I got even happier to watch Sebastian’s coverage of the 3 new M+ releases and decided to throw my hat into the ring for the giveaway, which is something I’ve never done before. I live in California, USA and would LOVE to receive a bottle of the M+ Mandarin (or ANY for that matter!)

  • I would love to win the Molecule 01 + Mandarin. So excited to smell these new variations of much-loved Molecule 01!

  • Fahrenheit is one of my favorite perfumes, but I had no idea Iso E Super was in 25% concentration in Fahrenheit. So thanks Michelyn for that interesting bit of information. I haven’t tried any Escentric Molecule perfumes, yet. From Sebastian’s review, I am inclined to go with Escentric 01 + Patchouli, though it seems all are beautiful. I thought I had never experienced Iso E Super, but because of Fahrenheit, I indeed have. Thanks for the generous draw and reviews. I am in USA.

  • Loved the review! I’m not very familiar with the brand or the note but now I’m so curious to give it a sniff. Would love to win m+ mandarin! I’m from California USA.

  • macaroni023 says:

I love Sebastian’s review, he is so good at describing smell.
For me it was so interesting to learn about ISO E Super and the story behind the first perfume of Escentric Molecules. I would love to win Esentric M+ Mandarin, I think it would be my great companion for spring summer season. I am based in EU

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I was interesting to see that iso e super has been used from as early as 1975 in Halston for Women. I did enjoy my sample of Molecule 01 and got some amaazing feedback from it at work. I would love to win Escentric M + Mandarine. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Escentric Molecules are famous for safe pleasing fragrances, and that’s exactly what I’m expecting from Escentric M+ Line . It was interesting to me how the whole idea for the line, came from a custom made for Geza Schoen girlfriend fragrance.
Molecule 01 I had up until recently.
Brighter fresher experience Sebastian said Escentric M+ Mandarin has just sealed the deal, most appealing one for sure.
Thanks for the interview, and the draw
    USA

  • AleksCipri says:

Very very excited to try out these! I love all Escentric Molecules, and regular molecules too although a bit less. It was very interesting learning how Geza Schoen decided which 3 notes to add to Molecule 01 and why. It was very cool reading the interview here and listening to interview on Sebastians channel. I was really looking forward to Sebastian’s review of the three new offerings. After hearing more I’ll keep my initial opinion and choose M+Patchouli as my choice number one! I’m from Illinois, US.

  • orlanditto says:

Great review as always. Recently started a youtube channel on fragrance reviews and would love to win on of these and review it. Based on Sebastian’s review I would like to try M+ Patchouli.
    I live in the UK

  • Hahahahah! Nightclubs are certainly places that we intend to be seen as something sexy, promiscuous, that exudes sensuality, edible; we want to be the center of attention and that’s it! I’m from Brazil, I confess that I don’t know the fragrances but I would love to know them. I read reports / comments on (fragrantica.com) and found the proposals for these valuable liquids very interesting. In case I am the lucky one, I would like to have the previous one to these Molecule 02 (Ambroxan note) and the new fragrance that contains the iris note in the composition; Geza Schoen, Sebastian .. cheers, success for you and your friends. Hug!

  • Ohhhh Wow Fantastic combinations!!!!!! ESCENTRIC MOLECULE 01 M+ IRIS…. wow it´s can be better!!!!! Hope I win I never won anything hahaha! I will check it immediately! I love the concept of ESCENTRIC MOLECULES.

  • I will not straight from my favorite note Iris. Even though the M+ Mandarine sound delicious. I only had the opportunity once to test them. I remember the Molecule line as perfect to give some added deft to other fragrances, with good longevety. But at that time I was into beast performer☺
    From France

  • I have smelled Molecule 01 partially because of Sebastian’s video from some time ago, very nice sillage. I would love to try Molecule 01 + Mandarin that sounds very nice.

  • I learned about the iso e super craze with past fragrances and appreciate them highlighting the wonderful note! I am a fan of the brand and I love what they are doing. Based on the reviews I think I would like the patchouli version, I live in Oregon in the USA

  • Paul Robinson says:

I learnt from Michelyn’s interview that 1988 Dior Fahrenheit contained 25% overdose of Iso E super. Escentric M+ Patchouli would great to win, i live in the UK and yes I’m a fan of Escentric Molecules.
Thanks to Gezens partner Sophie for her inspired thought of wanting another perfume note added. Be Lucky ☘

  • Well, since I met some of the molecules, my taste for perfume has changed. In fact, I couldn’t go back to designer perfumes. They raised my standards and I love that I don’t smell them everywhere. I thought I would like to try first M01+iris, but after watching Sebastian I think I’m gonna start with M01+mandarin. But of course at some point I will try them all.

  • Amanda32828 says:

Thank you for the opportunity to enter this wonderful giveaway. After watching Sebastian review, I have to say that I’d love Molecule 01 + Mandarin. I think the Mandarin will be perfect for the summer and the simplicity of the ingredients it is just perfect to me. I love mandarin and the combination of iso e super with a citric like mandarin have to be super fresh, super vibrant and super summery, so I’m very excited about this fusion. Thank you for the giveaway, commenting from Orlando, Fl

  • For Michelyn’s post, i find it intersting how Molecule 01, basically started due to dabbing ISO E super on before a night out.

I enjoyed the stories about Molecule + series, how iris version was a gift, i feel like iris and mandarin versions will be my favorite, iris is one of my favorite notes in fragrances, but one i’m most interested to try is mandarin version i can just imagine it working really well in the heat.

For Sebastian’s video, i gained more insite on the molecule+ series, i trust what he says due to having many successful blind buys based on his recommendations.

I live in the UK and would like to win Escentric M +Mandarin. Thanks to CaFleureBon, Escentric Molecules and Sebastian for hosting this giveaway.

  • Muhammad Juma Muhammadi says:

It sound great special the PATCHOULI one. Cannot wait to win and smell it. me me me send it to me Please. thank Muhammad from Sweden.

  • Another chance to win! Thanks for the introduction Michelyn. 25% Iso-E super in Fahrenheit! I never knew! Maybe this is why I love Fahrenheit so much.

I just saw Sebastian’s reviews and quickly dashed to Cafleurebon!
As always, Sebastian gave me a clear understanding of what I can expect from these 3 new creations. He hasn’t changed my mind though. M+ Iris is the one I look forward to the most. he had me at Powdery and Buttery ^_^

I have Molecule 01 and find that it is a perfect fragrance whenever I struggle to find a fragrance to wear. It’s an ‘any day, any time’ fragrance for me.

I would love to enter the draw to win Escentric M+ Iris!
    Greetings from the UK.

  • I already posted a comment on Michelyn’s Interview with Geza Schoen: it was informative and learned a few unexpected things! (like when the brand was founded and use of Orris note). I also enjoy watching Sebastian’s videos as usual, his descriptions are always terrific, engaging and realistic. Based on his review I would now consider the Patchouly, though I still think I would lean towards the Iris combination haha. Regardless I will still remain an Escentric Molecules lover!
Hello & thank you from Canada!

  • mariotgomez says:

Sebastian, thank you for the interview video with Geza. I loved hearing how picking the three notes to include and what did not work.

Michelyn’s interview reminded me of the release date of Molecule 1 and how fast time has passed since then. I continue to use M1 alone or as a layering scent.

I look forward to getting my nose into either the M01+ Iris or Mandarin.

I live in the USA, CA.

  • Peter Castaneda says:

My beloved Molecule 01 is still my most used fragrance and now seeing more variations has definitely got my attention. Would love to smell them all but i would pick Molecule 01 + Mandarin. Loved Sebastian’s review. I’m based on US

  • Irumkhalid1 says:

I’m in Love with Escentric Molecule 01. Discovered it 4 years ago and have gone through 6 bottles already. I layer it with everything I own. So excited that the creators of my fave perfume have made elevated versions of it. Can’t wait to get my hand on Melecule 01+Iris. Keeping my fingers crossed for a win 🙂

  • I love iso e super and iris! Would love to try!

Also love the Youtube channel. Been following for about half a year now

  • Great review as always! I’m always looking forward to Sebastian’s thoughts on a fragrance. I’ve tried up to Molecule 05 and enjoy 02 and 05 the most. I love wearing them on their own to evoke cozy feelings or layer them to soften harsher notes and increase longevity of different fragrances.

Molecule 01 + Mandarin sounds heavenly for summertime and Molecule 01 + Iris sounds like the perfect clean, powdery scent. Either would be lovely! I live in the US and think this giveaway is super generous!

  • Another fantastic video Sebastian! Its great to hear about these new releases they all seem great, seeing your review has also made me realise that this may be one of those releases which has a little something for everyone. If you are looking for a fresher take on Molecule 01 there is now Molecule 01 + Mandarin, if you are looking for something even woodier that complements the original there is Molecule 01 + Patchouli and finally if you are looking for something a little more sensual and powdery you have Molecule 01 + Iris.

Therefore since I have been looking for a summer fragrance lately, if I am lucky enough, I would love to get my hands on Molecule 01 + Mandarin. Much love from Great Britain.

  • Khalil Nasir says:

Great explanation! I saw Sebastian explain molecule 1 several years ago and I purchased it. I too couldn’t smell it at first then one day notice the woody scent train. I would be interested in Escentric M+ Iris, I am from Durham, NC USA

  • Great review as always Sebastian. I’ve always gotten compliments whenever I’ve worn Molecule 01 and never knew that Fahrenheit (which I also love) had so much of the IsoE super. All sound great and I’m torn between iris and patchouli but would love to try the Escentric M+ Patchouli. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • in a world of sauvage and other blue scents, what i could only assume is that second layer of skin scent with an added supporting note sounds refreshing and a very likeable classy wear. looking forward to the release, thanks!

  • Faith Ray Yu says:

Im exciting for this fragrance. I love molecule 02 for work, since i work in healthcare i cant put on strong fragrances and 02 is perfect.

  • Marius Johnson says:

    I Have 01 & 04 I’m my collection…after watching Sebastian video…Mandarin looks very inviting…that’s my choice.

  • Andy Solecki says:

Funny fact is that in mandarin version you focused on this note as tope note.
I love Escentric 03 cause it’s so zesty and fresh, like touching leafes of geranium with your fingers. I would love to try +mandarin one.
    Im from Poland.

  • From Sebatian’s review, I am most intrigued by Escentric 01 + Mandarin as it is great for spring and summer and it is fresh composition. My choice is Escentric 01 + Mandarin. USA

  • I would love to win the M+ Patchouli. I never win stuff haha. But I did learn about how some folks are ansomic to Molecule 01 and also it triggers some hormonal response. Very interesting 🙂

  • Marangely Pastrana says:

I cannot get out of mu mind that cells dance around Iso e super! I would love to try Molecule 01+ patchouli! Love Sebastian’s review! My fav molecule is M01! I am from Puerto Rico! Regards.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Really love the house and style of this minimalistic perfumes . Would really love to win m+patchouli , new york , usa .

  • Paula Jefferson says:

I didn’t know there was that much Iso E Super in the original Dior Fahrenheit. I would like to win Escentric M+ Patchouli. I live in Michigan, USA. I have Molecule 1 and Molecule 2 and Escentric 5 are only my list to purchase.

  • I have never experienced Escentric Molecule fragrances before but have heard a lot of good things about them from Sebastian, it would be interesting to experience the iso e super as explained in the above intro since these are flankers of a cult classic it makes me very curious to check them out. Live in Virginia and since summer is around the corner I would love to win M+ Mandarin as Sebastian mentioned it’s got a summer orangy vibe.

  • Molecule 02 with mandarin sounfs great. Love Molecule 01. Please enter me this giveaway. It would be so nice to win a full bottle and sample. Keep up the great work excellent channel!

  • I learned the difference between 01 and M+ . I haven’t smelled this house as of yet so this would be my 1st introduction. I’m interested in Mandarin. I live in Indiana USA

  • It was interesting to learn the back stories behind both the original line and the new one. I’d love to have M+ Mandarin, for summer. I am in Canada.

  • I have to say I’m glad that I came across Sebastian and his thorough reviews of fragrances. He is also bringing to light houses that aren’t widely known in the US(much like this one). Molecule 01 +Patchouli peaks my interest as there is always a draw to patchouli fragrances. Thank you CaFleureBon for this chance for the chance to get my hands on some amazing scents. Much love from the US!

  • I found it interesting that the entire M+ line was inspired by Geza’s girlfriend’s request for an iris fragrance. I’m the most interested in the M+ Iris fragrance because I’ve historically really enjoyed the combination of iris, musk and woody notes. USA.

  • Petar Molnar says:

Been huge fan of M02 since its release. Something about its minimalism that appeals to me. Crispy clean and non offensive, ideal for summer days. Surely M01+Mandarin falls into the same category, summertime freshie. Would love to get my nose on it. Big Hi from Croatia!

  • I really enjoy your videos. Your descriptions are easy to understand and spot on for the fragrances. You’ve inspired me to branch out and try more then my comfort zone! Thank you

  • Michelyn’s review provided some interesting history about the beginning of Molecule 01, and it’s interesting how each of the additional scents is a different part of the fragrance (too, heart, base). I think Iris is best bet based on Geza’s report, but I would love to try them all. I love Molecule 01. I live in CA.

  • Bryant Worley says:

Michelyn’s intro was very informative, letting me know the difference between Molecule 01 and Escentric 01, and the fact that Geza Schoen DID NOT create Iso E Super. The is the way it seemed, since I had only heard of Iso E Super in connection with Geza.

I love orange in fragrances, and the way Sebastian made Molecule 01 + Mandarin sound so delectable, I HAVE TO go with Molecule 01 + Mandarin for my win.

I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA, and to my dismay, have never tried any of Geza’s creations.

  • Molecule 01 is my top complimented perfume, so I am thrilled to find out how Geza’s new creations smell. I am familiar with the brand since also have four other their offerings. I always trust Sebastian’s reviews and I have purchased many fragrances based on his recommendations. I’d love to try M+Patchouli. I live in Greece.

  • I love Geza Schoen’s work, I love Sebastian’s videos, I love Molecule 01, I love Patchouli! No difficulty in choosing my bottle for the giveaway then, M+ Patchouli! I am curious though about the Mandarin version due to Sebastian’s review. This will probably be the the next one I’ll pick up after I got my nose on it. The sample kit will help in that aspect. From Belgium, EU

  • I wish Sebastian’s review went a little deeper this time, but I understand that because these are comparatively simple compositions maybe it didn’t seem necessary. I’d like to try any of these as a layer with other scents, also. My experience with Escentric Molecules has been limited so far, but I like what I’ve tried. If I have to pick one that I’m most interested in, it’s the Mandarin. (USA)

Now with the new Escentric Molecules M+ collection, Herr Schoen features Escentric 01 with patchouli, iris and mandarin. I didn’t know the difference between escentric 01 and molecule 01 a great review by Michelyn and Sebastian. I am intrigued by M+ Patchouli the most because Patchouli is my favourite note and love to see this houses minimalist approach. A house that I have got experience with l am afraid. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • They all sound intriguing, as I don’t recall ever using something with this particular ingredient iso e super. If I were to choose, I would go for the iris one because I like iris.
    Europe. Thank you!

  • I was curious to learn the difference between Escentric 01 and Molecule 01. A house that I am not familiar with but I am intrigued by nonetheless. If I am lucky to win I would love to win M+ Patchouli intrigued by the minimalist concept and the bottle design as well. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Great review and article! I was surprised to learn that Iso E Super was used more than 40 years ago and in Farenheit. I like Molecule 01 and I’m very excited to smell the new + additions. As a fan of iris I would be delighted to get the chance and win one sample or bottle of it. In the end I will try them all :-).
    Thanks!

  • My favorite from the three is of course M+ Iris. Iris/Orris butter is my favorite note in perfumery. I think this will be a really great everyday iris fragrance. From the interview, it definitely sounds like a compliment puller. I found a lot of the orris fragrance I have to be too elegant and dressed-up; I actually have been seeking one for casual wear, and M+ Iris sounds like the perfect choice. My favorite from the house is Molecule 04, but I think M+ Iris might replace it, let’s see:)

    From the UK

  • I love the smell of iris / orris and I would like to enter this giveaway for M + Iris.

Thanks guys for the chance, I hope that this creation manages to keep the iris in the foreground, because other favorites of mine do not succeed…

Thank you, I live in Europe, Romania.

  • ElenaChiss says:

I have heard a great deal about this super ingredient that is more and more used in perfumery, but I do not think I have ever tried something that is purely based on iso e super.
All three of them sound really nice, but if I were to win, I would choose the iris. Many thanks from Europe!

  • Wow, this is the most informative post I’ve read. I just ordered 9 samples of then original Eccentric molecules to try for the first time and now amazed that there are even more new scents like these ones to look forward to testing. I would love to win the Mandarin version as I enjoy fresh and citrus profiles. I am located in California which makes Mandarin a perfect addition in this weather during the spring season and hoping to be a long term fan of Escentric Molecules.

  • Love fhis series and love sebastian rewiew always on point. I love love to experienced the iris or the mandarin version! So intriguing! Love from Milan, Italy

  • Duygu Yurdakoek says:

Great news. I didnt have the chance to try these fragrance yet. I’m hearing a lot of good comments. It would be exciting to get a bottle. I guess the one with iris would be for me.

  • Jason Lucas says:

I pretty much wear molecule 01 everyday usually in a layer but I also wear it by itself and am always amazed at what comments I get about it. I’d love to try the patchouli version

  • Derek Bedinghaus says:

I learned what Sebastian gets out of molecule 01 kind of note wise. From what I remember I agree it is a bit musky, woody etc. smelling. I learned that the idea for molecule was apparently a long time coming and had been used many years before in small increments. As for the fragrance I’d like to try I would say Escentric M+ Patchouli. I live in Mason, OH USA. I am a fan of Escentric molecules but do not own a bottle as of yet.

  • I always layer Molecule 01 or Eccentric 01 with my perfume on a daily basis. Eccentric 01 gives a fresh and sparkling vibe to dry scents. Molecule 01 gives some misterios accent to anything you use.. Mix the two together and you’ll never get bored.

  • I love molecule 01…but my girl loves it more. She steals my bottle from the beggining. She works in a hospital and she loves it because it’s not very agressive to other people’s noses.

I’m a Smelling Great Subscribers, living in Spain!

Hi, it was interesting what Geza said about iso E stimulating the vomeronasal receptors. I have the original sample pack and love the smell of M1, probably followed by M2. M4 seems a bit sickly to me which was a shame since tam dao’s probably my favourite scent and I thought i’d like the sandalwoody one. I like oriental dark fragrances so out of these I’d definitely go for the patchouli one, I think the only patchouli frag I have is black orchid which I like, so I’m keen to try more patchouli ones out. From the UK

  • Sandro Mateush says:

Another very good transcription of a scents from Sebastian. Thank you! I’m in love with Molecule 01 – so sensual, smooth, delicate & unique fragrance. Perfect match for a white shirt. Universal scent which brings you calmness and meditative sophistication.
I would love to try all M+ Collection and number one for me is M+ Iris. I love iris as a note and this combination with Iso E Super sounds close to my soul.
    I’m from EU, Kyiv, Ukraine

  • Cher Fischer says:

Always love reviews of new scents. I’m slowly getting my husband into more niche scents and he prefers a more simplistic scent. I would love to get the Escentric M+ Iris as well as the samples for both of us. I tend to lean toward a more Oud or Lactonic fragrance. I don’t currently have any Escentric iterations but am looking to purchase some samples and then add a full bottle to my collection. Very interesting interview, I very much appreciate the chemistry that goes into the formulations.
    I live in Indiana, USA.

  • Mohamed E Yahia says:

wonderful review as usual! I’ve tried Escentric Molecule before. To me, molecule one represents a base for a great perfume, so I was expecting M+.
I would love to try the new M+ patchouli since patchouli is my favorite note as you. I’m intrigued about their take on patchouli.
Thank you for the generosity of the giveaway. By the way, I can pay postage if my country is not included. Regards from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  • I’m so glad to finally learn the difference between the Molecule 01 and Eccentric 01. I haven’t tried any of the Molecules yet, but I am definitely interested in M+ Iris. NY state USA. Thank you for the drawing.

  • Mary ter Heege says:

I have the molecule 1 and would love to try the M+patchouli. I live in the Netherlands. Thank you very much for the giveaway

  • Stephen Moreira-Jones says:

    I am in Canada.
The interview was fascinating, especially reading how Geza discovered the amazing affect Iso-E-Super can have on people when he went to the night club.
I discovered Molecule M01and E01 in London in 2005; they quickly became favourites for me. Multiple friends, including my mother, have been converted in to fans. Iso-e-Super is a mysterious smell, people say they can’t detect it, but once they do then it is very distinct. I worked in a huge open plan office in a tower block. I would easily know if the senior PA was in the office because her scent trail filled the elevator, corridors and our whole office space, beautifully!

My mother was undecided about my gift of E01 until she was on a cruise ship vacation. When she returned she was like an excited young girl retelling how passengers kept asking what she was wearing! She’d never had complements for any pefume before let alone dozens!

If I win, I’d love to have the M+ Iris please as I intend to gift it to my brother and make him a convert too.

  • Those sound fantastic. I think this fragrances are out of this world. I love Escentric Molecules because they are just like abstract art, where every eye sees another thing, imagines another message or feels a different emotion. This is Escentric Molecule to me, a close and personal experience. I’m looking forward for the new scents. I would love Escentric M+ Iris. I currently live in Romania.

  • ANDREEA ELENA TIMOFTE says:

Hello, I haven’y try any of the Escentric Molecule perfumes, but would love to experience M+ Patchouli.
Sebastian is great, I always watch his videos.

  • Yes I’m a fan of these. Since I love the iris note and this line, I’m sure this is ideal for me. For this draw I choose, Molecule 01 +Iris. US

  • Tom Netherland says:

Greetings! I enjoyed Michelyn’s excellent interview with Geza Schoen. Though brief, I learned a great deal about Gaza’s famed Eccentric Molecule creations, primarily that his addition of ISO E Super was applied before he went to a night club, which turned out to be an outstanding experiment as to its effectiveness. As to which fragrance I would most like to win, I would love to win Molecule 01+Mandarine. That one seems divine! As for my location, I am I Bristol, Tennessee.

  • Hayley Morgan says:

Molecule 01 has been a longtime favourite so I’m very excited for this release! I’m particularly interested in M1+ Patchouli so that would be my top pick, but I’m curious about Iris and Mandarin as well – particularly as Iris is the original combo. It was lovely to hear about Geza’s inspiration, his wife. I’ve purchased the entire Escentric sample set before so have tried all 10 so far – so need to test out these three, too! I’m based in the UK 🙂

  • Jonathan Monsalud says:

I learned that Fahrenheit has synthetic note ISO E. That note can have a diffferent smell to each individual. I want the Patchouli one.

  • I know sebastian prefers patchiuli but my favorite note is iris. I am looking forward to trying that combination of Molecule 01 + Iris. Greetings from Spain.

  • Michelyn’s interview with Geza was very interesting, it was cool to learn that he got the idea for Molecule 01 after putting on ISO E Super before going to a nightclub. Based on Sebastian’s review, I’d like to win M+ Mandarin, because I am a fan of citrus and I love Molecule 01 and the whole Escentric Molecules line. I live in NY.

  • marcopietro says:

Really interesting videos and articles for those like me love fragrances build on synthetic notes and experimental ways in contemporary perfumery. I like the whole EM line especially One and Four Molecules. I am a lover of woody and herbaceous notes so my attention for theese three news is above all with regard to patchouli and it is my choice.
    I live in EU
    Thanks!

  • adrian tan says:

Thanks for a great review. I have never smelled this perfume. However, If given a chance, I’d like to try either the M+Patchouli or the M+Mandarin. From Canada

  • Ronan Culhane says:

I had no idea Fahrenheit had so much Iso-E Super! If I won I’d go for the patchouli. From Ireland

  • What I learned from the interview is that there is a scientific explanation as to why people(like me) are crazy for iso E super. Had never really thought about it before. Love the content!

  • Hi there, I`m here thanks to Sebastian and its channel. I am new to the fragrance world and learning a lot from Sebastian. At the moment I am experimenting and to be honest I do not have a clue about iris notes.
I have heard about Escentric fragrances but not yet tried one… sorry. I do find intriguing Mr Schoen revolutionary attitude and outcomes so hopefully I will become a huge fan of Him. I live in Italy, close to Portofino and the city of Genoa. I wish to win the Molecule 01+iris (I also find very romantic from Mr Schoen to dedicate this fragrance to his partner 😉 I bet it is a masterpiece!

  • WaltherP99 says:

Escentric 02 I received for Christmas in 2019. Honestly I was not expecting much, but to my surprise it actually projects pretty good for ~2 hours.
I like Geza Schoen approach “I do what I do, and don’t care about the others”. Just adding 3 notes to already successful fragrance, and making 3 new potentially really good flankers is his way of doing things.
Escentric M+ Mandarin I think it will work well for the upcoming season, it’s also Michelyn favorite , Sebastian said it’s wonderful , i’d like to win it.
Cafleurebon , Sebastian , Escentric Molecules I already follow on Instagram , LuckyScent too.
USA only , not for long thankfully

  • Dean Farillas says:

I have escentric 01,02 and 03 in my collection. Im a nurse by profession so i need something subtle scent to use at work..my Fave is escentric 01 as i find it more comforting to use while working esp now with the pandemic.. Im really curious to try the escentric 01 M+ Iris..Kind regards from London Uk

  • I’m glad that Geza listened to Sophie (his partner) and created the M+ Iris, because iris is my favourite perfume note!
I love all of the Escentric Molecules line (regular and Escentric) and i own 4 of them.Of course i would like to try the new ones.
If i win i would like the Molecule 01 + Iris.
    EU,GREECE

  • Since 2010, my favorite fragrance is M01, and my hand is always drawn to this bottle. I note that the minimalistic design in the best way emphasizes the fragrance itself, a minimum of notes, a beautiful scent, a maximum of compliments. It is about escentric molecules M01 that I most often get a lot of compliments.
Now I am very interested to get acquainted with the new products of the M+collection.

  • Christopher Niendorff says:

I was very surprised to learn, that Fahrenheit has such a high ISO E Super contebt of 25 percent. After Sebastians review i would love to try out all three of the Molecule 01+ scents, but i would be particulary exited to win Molecule 01+ Patchouli. I live in Germany and i am a big fan of Escentric Molecules whole lineup.

  • Sophie, his partner, inspired then Iris note in one of the M+ new fragrances.
I’d like winning exactly the Iris one, my favorite note 🙂 I live in Madrid. I don’t have any Molecule fragrance so could be an occasion to win my first one!

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

I had Molecule 01 and it smells fantastic. I also imagine the three new versions to be very tasty. My favorite would be the one with patchouli. Greetings from Germany.

  • Amir Iljazi says:

Hi, i never tried molequle parfumes I would love to try it out especcialy the orange one because I love orange fraguences.
    I am from Europe- Germany

  • I had commented I would have liked the Iris combo in the previous article, but Sebastian convinced me 100% of the mandarin. I had initially thought the style of Escentric molecules wouldn’t really fit a citrus component but his excitement really got me!
I really like everything i have tried from EM so far, and I enjoyed Michelyn and Geza’s interview due to the information he provided about iso E super and the notes in his fragrances, so famous for being unique.
I am in Europe and my choice is Mandarin.

  • I had no idea Fahrenheit had such a large dose of Iso E! Based on Sebastian’s review I think I would like m+ mandarin, however patch would be a close second! I haven’t tried any Escentric yet. I’m from Canada.
    Thank you!

  • The Mandarin version sounds heavenly. Sebastian doesn’t ever go wrong with his reviews.I blind bought many perfumes based purely on his recommendations and I have never been disappointed. Will probably treat myself to a bottle of this as well.

  • Marty_McDawg says:

I didn’t realize Fahrenheit was such an ISO E heavy fragrance. I was also surprised to hear that Molecule 01 was spawned from a night out at a club. Crazy how that works out.

I would love to win 01 + Iris, but they all sound wonderful. I live in Statesboro, Georgia USA. I love G.S. and E. Molecule.

  • Toni Uyliapco says:

I think I would enjoy the molecule 01 + Mandarin the most especially for the coming season.

  • Geza Schoen I know because of Ormonde Jayne fragrances he created , Escentric Molecules fragrances I have never smelled .
I like his point of view, like in the famous quote:
    “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
    Leonardo da Vinci”
Escentric M+ Mandarin please , not just Michelyn, but also Sebastian is a fan too , thank you both
Back and forth between USA and Scotland, two weeks in US -> two weeks in Scotland, and so on. Basically both USA and UK. Not sure where I fit in this giveaway

  • Very interesting interview. I was definitely interested to hear about the inception of the brand from almost happenstance. Just dabbing some iso e super on his wrist and realizing the effect it was having on people is a great story. I also was surprised to learn how long the brand has been around. For some reason this type of “fragrance category” seems like it would be a more recent development. I don’t know why I feel that way. I would like to win Escentric M+ Iris. I’m based in the USA, and I’m already a big fan of the Molecule 01 which I enjoy wearing often.

  • I had no idea Iso E Super was used in Fahrenheit .Definitely like lime incense and musk for scents.Well based on Sebastian’s review I would definitely get patchouli M+. It was a toss up but definitely going patchouli first ,Mandarin second, and Iris a third place. I have not tried Escentric Molecules unfortunately. Definitely looking forward to trying soon!
    USA

  • Such a great interview, I learned several things. It was fascinating learning the origins of the original fragrance and the attention that Sophie garnered while wearing Geza’s new concoction. Of course Sebastian’s review was informative and to the point as well. I live in KY, USA and would love to win a bottle of Escentric M+ Mandarin although all three sound delicious. I am already a fan of Molecule 01 but have not yet experienced the original Escentric. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Kareem Zade says:

From the interview with Geza Schoen, I was really interested to learn the science behind why we find molecule 01 to be so revolutionary in its ability to stimulate pleasure receptors in our olfactive bulb. As a subscriber to Sebastian’s channel, Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews, I was super excited to see the announcement that a molecule 01 + mandarin was being made, as I absolutely love the note of mandarin orange. I think this, on top of the iso-e super, is a romance waiting to happen. I also have Molecule 01 & 02, and find them to be incredible for either wearing alone when I want to be quiet and “under-the-radar” or for layering when I need that added “oomf” to my fragrance. I would love to be given the opportunity to win a bottle of the molecule 01 + mandarin, and am a resident of the US. Thank you, and I hope you have an amazing day.

  • raymondchau says:

I’ve never been trying any Escentric Molecules fragrances since I prefer fragrances with depth and layers. But would like to try one, one day.

    I live in Canada

  • bizzare13495 says:

Molecule 01 is one of my favorite fragrances ever, so the addition of mandarin and iris sounds amazing. I’m not the biggest patchouli fan but I have no dought that the fragrance smells amazing.

  • I haven’t smelled any of the Escentric Molecule fragrances, but I have a lot of ISO-E Super heavy fragrances (e.g. Terre d’Hermes, Encre Noir) and I love patchouli, so M+ Patchouli is the bottle I’d choose were I to win. I live in Oklahoma, USA. As always, thanks for the draw!

  • I havent tried any Escentric Molecule fragrances but these three sound like a good idea. Especially because based on Sebastian’s review the notes chosen seem to really work well with the ISO E Super. The Molecule fragrances seem to get talked about more than the Escentric ones but in reading I have seen some people who really like the Escentric versions as well. The most interesting thing I’ve learned is what Geza Schoen mentioned about ISO E Super causing one of our pheromone receptors to react. Also from this intro by Michelyn she mentioned Dior Fahrenheit having a 25% overdose of ISO E Super which I didn’t know and is super interesting that it was used that heavily in a fragrance quite a while ago. Id love to win the M+ Iris and am in CT USA. Thanks for the generous draw.

  • Iuno Feronia says:

Thanks for this great review and the generous giveaway! ! I’ve been interested to see Sebastian’s review for this line since yesterday’s article. To me the perfumes of Escentric Molecules define modern minimalist perfumery.
I would love to try the new M+ Mandarin since Mandarin is the perfect scent to uplift my mood. I live in the EU.

  • Great Sebastian’s review as always… After Michelyn’s Interview with Geza Schoen in the previous post with the amazing history of being a happenstance after testing ingredients in Mr. Schoen lab and rubbing Iso E Super before going to a Night Club… and then the history began… today we know that Farenheit had a big chunk of this molecule… Sebastian says an interesting thing about the molecule : “you have to train your nose ” to smell and notice Iso E Super, even for a trained nose like his…. I find very interesting the Escentric Molecules’ concept of putting molecules to the forefront of a fragrance : Labs can be sexy too!. I would love to win Molecule 01 + Mandarin, and i Live in Spain, EU.

  • kramerongo says:

I learn about Iso e Super, interesting to learn and it so woody. lovely with mandarin with make it a summer hit. I choose Mandarin version, I am in Sweden EU

  • IvanVelikov says:

It was nice to learn about the new Escentric M+ fragrances, M+ Mandarin, M+Patchouli and M+ Iris. Safe not overly complex scents do have their role in my life , especially at work.
Such a fun reading about IsoE Super being used in Dior Farenheit , I was under the wrong impression it’s a rather new aroma chemical
    🙂
Trying fragrances through friends and family was a nice way to get unbiased feedback , I like Iris too , just like his girlfriend Sophie.
Molecule 01 I use for layering purposes, works really well with fresh citrus fragrances. That’s why my pick is Escentric M+ Mandarin , spring is coming too.
    Thank you for the draw.

  • Reading Michelyn ‘s interview of Geza, I learned the difference between Escentric and M+ concepts, found out about the initial trigger to formulate Escentric M+ Iris, and a back story of this groundbreaking fragrance house.
From the introduction above, I found it fascinating reading about using iso e super not be super popular before 2005 and a revolution that Geza’s Escentric Molecule flamed on the market. As Sebastian mentioned in the video iso e super has become so widely used as a base note in perfumery. Based on Sebastian’s description of the fragrances, I found all three highly intriguing. It seems that Geza has picked three highly liked notes in perfumery to complement his original Molecule 01.
I am an avid wearer of Molecule 01, so I am thrilled to try all three complemented iso e super scents.
If I am lucky, I would pick Escentric M+ Mandarin, since I have been into citrusy scents lately.
    Greetings from Slovenia (EU).

  • Beni Humes Devitt says:

I follow Sebastian’s for reviews and really trust his take on fragrances. He’s incredibly knowledgeable so I was eager to hear his thoughts on the new line. My husband isn’t a big into fragrances as I am so Molecule 01 has been great for him. It’s minimal and comfortable for him to wear. With the addition of Mandarin it’s right on time for spring and I think he and I both would love to have a bottle of that one. I live in Milwaukee WI, USA

  • Commenting from Boston, here! I’d love to enter into the US giveaway. I like this house a lot (Escentric 05 is amazing)—and I’m really excited to try +Mandarin

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great review Sebastian.

I would love to win either the Patchouli or the Iris.

    I love Molecules 01.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I didn’t know that Fahrenheit has so much ISO E Super in it. I never smelled this fragrance, to be completely honest, but not it awoke my curiosity.
Based on Sebastian’s review, I would like to win Molecule 01 + Iris, although they all sound fascinating!
I live in the EU, Lithuania.
And yes, I am a fan of Escentric Molecules, 01 and 05 are my favorites.

  • My taste is similar to Sebastians, so M+Patchouli is up to my tastes, but would like to sample all three of them.since i do love Escentric Molecules! I live in Croatia, EU

  • Georges Chlouk says:

I have yet to try Molecule01! I’m very curious as to how Iso E Super smells in large doses, and if I were to choose one, I’d go for the Mandarin for a nice summer scent. Wait no. Patchouli. Earthy and sweet. Actually, maybe the Iris one since it’s quite out of my comfort zone; bring on the powder! My chances of winning this giveaway are 0 since I live in Beirut, Lebanon, however I can have it delivered to a friend in Paris (wink wink, choose me!) The interesting thing I learned is that this fragrance is from 2005! The hype about it in the online frag community is so big that every review makes it sound like it JUST came out.

  • From Michelyn’s introduction, I learned the difference between the fragrances, “Molecule 01” and “Escentric 01”. I also learned some of the history of Iso E super in perfumery (I do enjoy Dior’s “Fahrenheit”). Based on Sebastian’s review of the three fragrances, I’d choose “M+ Patchouli”; patchouli is one of my favorite ingredients in perfumery. I live in MD., U.S.A. I haven’t tried anything yet from this fragrance house.
P.S. In the previous draw, I meant “M+ Patchouli” as the fragrance that I’d choose if I won, I just mistakenly called it something else.

  • I adore Escentric Molecules and have several fragrances. Since Molecule 01 and Escentric 01 never fail to get compliments, I’m particularly partial to Iso e super and am very excited to try the new M+ fragrances. Somehow I think I’ll be getting all three, but am leaning toward starting with M+ Iris. Very interesting to have a top, heart, and base note individually represented. Greetings from Chicago IL

  • I did not know that iso e super stimulates one of our 5 remaining pheromone receptors which explains so much about the popularity of Molecules. Also, I had no idea that Fahrenheit had so much Iso E.
Based on Sebastian’s review, I’d love to have M01 + PATCHOULI.
I live in the UK. Thank you to CaFleureBon and Escentric Molecules for the giveaway!

  • I did not know that iso e super stimulates one of our 5 remaining pheromone receptors which explains so much about the popularity of Molecules. • Hey I fought Iso E Super is one of the rather new kids on the block, obviously I was wrong haha
I’ve heard the name dozens, if not hundreds of times, but still i don’t have experience with Escentric Molecules fragrances.
Practical people like Geza Schoen I like a lot , not overly complex scents, rather powerful, people like them , compliments are there …
Escentric M+ Mandarin is the one for me ,It’s still cold on the outside, it will cheer me up I’m sure.
    Thank you for the generosity.

  • Claumarchini says:

I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews, he has such a great way to explain fragrances and notes: I am not an expert, have started to develop an interest in niche and indie perfumery only a few months ago and so it is really nice to hear Sebastian talk about notes and fragrances, how they smell like…in such a clear and understandable way!
I have never tried anything from Escentric, Molecule 01 sounds really great since Iso e Super is a molecule I particularly like. I would love to try M+ with Iris, as I am particularly fond of Iris/Orris note!!
I also enjoyed very much Michelyn’s review, I hope I am one of the lucky winners!
    Greetings from Italy

  • Viviana Nita-Lamasz says:

Hello! I am a huge fan of molecule 01 and also of escentric 05. I think i would like the summery molecule 01+mandarin. I m so curious about it i can t wait for it to be launched. I live in the EU (Romania).Thank you!

  • George Xagorarakis says:

I learned that there is an “overdose of 25 percent in Dior Farenheit”.
I’d like to win Escentric M1+mandarin.
    I live in Greece.
    Big fan of Molecule 01.

  • Robert M Gilmore says:

Greetings, I pray all is well with you and yours. First of all I will not to pretend to be some Parfum connoisseur. Am a old retired Army Soldier of 26 years. I have been wearing colognes off and on during my career. I just recently became really interested in the fragrance world. So one day I said, where can I go to get information on all the different fragrances out there. So YouTube is where I went. As I navigated through all of the different channels a common theme kept reappearing and it Iso e Super. Now I’m a 50 year old man and had never hear of Iso e Super. So after watching the interview I was shock that it had been around for so long. Anything that can stimulate one of our five remaining Pheromone Receptors has to be truly amazing!! Base on Sebastian’s reviews I would like to win Molecule 01 + Patchouli. I live in Mansfield, Texas, USA. I am definitely a Fan of Escentric Molecule.
Thank you guys for the opportunity!! Blessings and Prosperity.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews! And I’ve read reviews on so many of the Escentric Molecules scents but never tried any. I am most interested in Escentric M+ Mandarin. It sounds so fresh and would layer so well with my Spring/Summer scents.
    I live in the USA.

  • Great job, Sebastian!
It was interesting to see Sebastian’s review for this line after yesterday’s article. I own Escentric 02 and enjoy the citrusy-aromatic and woody freshness of it.
it is very interesting to test all versions, but M+ Mandarin saounds perfect for coming warm days.

  • Loved how something so much loved was created from chance (Molecule 01) , and how the same thing happened again when Sophie asked Geza for him to create a fragrance for her.

Unfortunately I had never had the lucky chance of smelling any of Escentric Molecules fragrances, but with such a following and popularity, its obvious that Escentric Molecules fragrances are a success!

I would love the opportunity to win the original creation, Escentric M+ Iris.

    I am from Portugal.

Thank you Michelyn and Geza for giving the comunity this chance.
    Good luck everyone 🙂 !

  • Escentric Molecules fragrances I use if I want to prolong the longevity of other perfumes, giving them some woody or fresh twist.
I wonder what kind of twist Escentric M+ Mandarin will give to my gourmands? Juicy and drippy qualities Sebastian said it has makes it so versatile and inviting. Of course it’s also Michelyn favorite one of the three.
Appreciate Sebastian review, Michelyn interview from the previous article , and the giveaway campaign. USA

  • I didn’t realize that iso E super has been used as an ingredient for such a long time.

I love molecule 01 and fresh citrus fragrances so Molecule+ mandarin sounds amazing. Great review as always Sebastian. Very excited to try these out.

    From the United States.

  • I learned that ISO E Super is something that I should try. I would like to win Molecule 01 + Mandarin. I live in the USA and will soon be a fan of Escentric Molecules.

  • Michael Prince says:

Michelyn great intro and interview with Geza Schoen. He is brilliant in creating all the eccentric molecule fragrances. His newest line M+ focusing on one additional note on top of his original Molecule 01 Iso-E Super formula. I like how he first created M+ Iris for his partner and after the success of that he created Mandarin and Patchouli. I am a huge fan of all the eccentric molecule fragrances especially 01 Iso-E Super and 02 Ambroxan. I think from the new line I would like M+ Mandarin the most, but they all sound good to me. I am from the USA.

  • Its very personal to know that in the beginning one of these was composed for his partner. I’ve never tried Escentric Molecules. Many thanks for a great interview by Michelyn and review by Sebastian. Many thanks to Escentric Molecules for making this drw possible. I’d love to try Escentric M+Iris. I’m in the USA

  • Own and love Molecule 01. Was very excited when I heard about the new M+ collection. As an iris fan I’m really interested in trying the M01+Iris. Cheers from Austin, Texas!

  • I love Sebastian very informative and cheerful videos. I didn’t know that Fahrenheit had so much Iso E.
All new Escentric Molecules sound amazing, but M+ Patchouli sounds amazing and I would like to win M+ Patchouli.

  • immortano26 says:

Geza is amazing guy with a magic touch, i was so confused when i read that didn’t really see Molecule 01 going legendary… Based on Sebastian reviews I’d love to try patchouli. Blending 01 with patchouli is guaranteed success! I turns out that my taste is extremely similar to mine, so I already know it is a good one. Poland, EU

  • Eyvindur Ernir Bjarnason says:

I have always loved the look of all the escentric molecules fragrances and would love to see what these are like
If I were to win I would want the M+ Patchouli as it’s my favourite note from the three by far. I am based in the UK. Thank you!

  • Christopher Niendorff says:

I already posted a comment below Michelyn’s Interview with Geza Schoen. I was very impressed to learn that Iso E Super was used in Fahrenheit with a content of 25%. I love the entire Escentric Molecule collection and i am very excited to try out all three Molecule O1+ scents. I would love to win Molecule 01+ Patchouli. I live in Germany.

  • petergigov says:

If you’re like me, you like good fragrances, but also like getting compliments, knowing Escentric Molecules is a must. Unsolicited compliments will come your way.
Fahrenheit by Dior i like too , but most women in my surroundings do not like it , especially my girlfriend.
Went through 5 bottles of Molecule 01 , the addition of
Mandarin, Patchouli and Iris makes me curious, I’ll try all 3.
Sebastian is a big patchouli fan , I knew he’ll say the M+ Patchouli is his favorite, but Escentric M+ Mandarin is the i would like to win. Juicy mandarin and Molecule 01 is a winning combination.
Thanks to Michelyn , Sebastian and Geza Schoen
    Nice giveaway, USA

  • Brenda Arellano says:

I’m SOLD! Actually, I’ve ignored this line, although having tested and loving these scents, opting for the more traditional (or not) niche houses. I quickly splurged in Molecule 01, 02, and 04 but I’m certain will most likely nose dive right into the eccentric offerings. Like you, and of the options, I love a good patchouli. It calls to me with Iris not far behind. I watched and enjoyed the video tremendously. It’s a world I’d love to delve in; this inner workings of conceptualizing a thought of a scent or a feeling you may want a scent to evoke, and realizing it into a fragrance. It is art and genius. The ease in explaining which pairings would work best, how to add on to a fragrance without overshadowing, or worse, eliminating the molecule, is a exercise in restraint and excellence. It proves that simplicity should never be underestimated. I recall an interview with Kilian Hennessy (a much loved and favored house) and he explains how Straight to Heaven was composed of roughly JUST 15 notes/ingredients, a rarity and quite difficult. Here we have 2.

Reading Michelyn’s review was very informative in a sense that I had no clue that Dior Fahrenheit came out in 1988! I was born in 97’ so it was before my time. But I definitely agree with Geza about some of the top notes in Escentric 01 being wood, musk and even lime which I definitely can sense. I always appreciate Sebastian’s reviews on any fragrance because I can tell that that he has a vast knowledge of each ingredient that goes into a perfume and it’s what got me interested in fragrances and wanting to learn more about the world of niche, and i since I have a love for Patchouli I would most likely pick Escentric M+ Patchouli if I would win the giveaway, I live in the US. and also this is random but I was wondering if there are any fragrances made with lotus flower? I’ve never heard of a perfume having lotus flower and I’m not sure if they produce any smell I was just interested because it is one of my favorite flowers and also translates to my name

I am interested in the patchouli one. I like the idea of being able to increase the longevity of other fragrances with a patchouli note. I appreciate sebastian’s tip on learning how to smell the “invisible “ note. From Michelyn’s article I learned that it can take 7 years to create a perfume. Namaste from Texas, USA
