Electimuss Aquila Absolute

Electimuss London Aquila Absolute by Karl.

Electimuss London recently unveiled Aquila Absolute winner of (Best Luxury / Niche Fragrance, Beauty Awards, London 2023), a fragrance that seems to transcend time and space and capture the essence of the majestic Aquila constellation. Launched in 2023 and composed by perfumer Julien Rasquinet, this olfactory creation is a testament to the harmonious blend of fine ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship.

Inspired by the Aquila constellation, the fragrance seeks to encapsulate the regal spirit of the eagle soaring through the celestial realms. Aquila, as the king of the skies, symbolizes power, beauty, and elegance. Rasquinet’s creation deftly translates this symbolism into a sensory experience, allowing the wearer to feel the majesty of an eagle’s flight.

The fragrance unfurls with an enchanting dance of aromas, commencing with the invigorating notes of fresh Cardamom Oil Guatemala LMR, lending a bright and lively aura to the opening. Accompanying this vivacity is a subtle yet distinctive raspberry accord, adding a touch of sweetness that teases the senses. As Electimuss London Aquila Absolute evolves, the heart notes emerge with the grace of Turkish Rose Absolute and the richness of Pure Geranium Oil from Egypt. These floral elements intertwine, creating a symphony of aromas that is both alluring and sophisticated. It is in this heart that the true artistry of Aquila Absolute comes to life, capturing the delicate beauty of nature’s blooms. The base notes, a composition of leather accord, Patchouli Coer n3 LMR, Labdanum resinoid LMR, White Oud accord, and Violet leaf Absolute Egypt LMR, form a foundation of depth and complexity. This combination of elements provides a lingering resonance, leaving an indelible impression on the olfactory senses. The White Oud accord adds a touch of exotic allure to the composition.

Electimuss London Aquila Absolute is an olfactory journey that captures the essence of power, beauty, and elegance. Julien Rasquinet’s artistry, coupled with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, elevates this fragrance to a realm of timeless sophistication. As you embark on the sensory exploration of Aquila Absolute, prepare to be enveloped in the wings of the majestic eagle, soaring through the cosmos.

  • The only Electimuss London fragrance I’ve smelled is Amber Aquilaria, it smells fantastic. To my knowledge the house most popular fragrance, at least on Instagram and YouTube, Steven is also praising it quite often in his Fall and Winter top10 videos.
Julien Rasquinet and leather, fruits , spices and natural oud combination is a match made in Heaven, FM The Moon is marvelous and I’m thrilled that Aquila Absolute is on the market.
What appeals to me in Karl Topham review is how genuinely amazed he is by Electimuss London fragrances as a brand , and in particular
Aquila Absolute, it’s not just a review he had to do. I like the fruity leather and complex facet, the sustainability moto , and of course the rose
Super cozy , super classy, maybe even a bit seductive, I’d love to win Aquila Absolute

“But for me, the only thing that matters when I am writing my formula, is that the raw material is relevant to the story of the fragrance. I have chosen each raw material like choosing the right word to tell a story.”

  • I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. Everything appeled to me in the review but I loved the part where the “dance of aromas” was mentioned. The notes of this fragrance are really something one of a kind, they are magical in every way. Cardamom Oil sounds exceptional in this fragrance.

  • Karl’s review transports me into the realm of Aquila Absolute. The meticulous detail in describing each note’s contribution and the fragrance’s narrative truly captivated my imagination. And I am curious about white oud accord the most. The commitment to sustainability and the blend of luxurious ingredients make this scent an exquisite olfactory journey that I can’t wait to embark on!

I am from the EU (Germany)

  • I don’t own any Electimuss London fragrance yet.
The cardamom from Guatemala, is what caught my attention.
To me, cardamom has a luxurious vibe, when is worked well.

I have 2 fragrances created by Julien Rasquinet, which are amazing.

Aquila Absolute sounds sophisticated, elegant, with enough body to project and good longevity.

I would be delighted to win this giveaway.

    Cheers, from Massachusetts.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I’d like to try something from Electimuss: I’ve had about a few on my list to sample. I like to learn more about the use of LMR oils, and that they are the pinnacle of sustainable natural raw materials. I like to hear that Aquila Absolute stands as a potent elixir which is aromatic, bright, and lively. I live in the U.S.A.

  • What appealed to me about Karl’s review is how it was inspired by the Aquila constellation as well as the use of LMR oils representing the pinnacle of sustainable natural raw materials. Thank you for the opportunity. New York, USA.

  • Electimuss London Aquila Absolute is inspired by Aquila constellation and even the bottle color alludes to that, too. It has sustainable ingredients and seems like a clean oud/rose/raspberry composition with oriental elements. I am in US.

  • I love that I always learn something new here. I didn’t know that there was an Aquila Constellation. I do enjoy unique fragrances, and Aquila Absolute fits the style I like. The quote that I liked is “I owe my career and much more to one man, the great Pierre Bourdon.” Mich USA

  • I love the concept behind this fragrance. The story of the constellation and the great eagle flying through the night sky provide powerful imagery and I am curious how that translates into an olfactory experience. I love the selection of notes at play here. Raspberry is certainly one of my favorite fruit notes, so I get excited whenever I see it pop up. I’m also intrigued by the white oud accord because that particular variation of oud is not something I have experienced very often. I think the last time I smelled it was in an Alghabra release and it was fantastic in that one. I’d love to see how it plays alongside the leather, geranium, and rose in this composition. Best of luck to everyone. I live in NC, USA.

  • Love what Julien Rasquinet said in his essay

But for me, the only thing that matters when I am writing my formula, is that the raw material is relevant to the story of the fragrance. I have chosen each raw material like choosing the right word to tell a story.

I can emphasize to the perfumer words, I have the exact same attitude towards my work and life.
Aquila Absolute is a fragrance based on sustainability by using LMR oils , high oil concentration, and it’s inspired by the Aquila constellation, Karl Topham was able to capture my interest. Lingering resonance of LMR cardamom, patchouli, oud and a touch of raspberries.
Thank you Karl Topham, and also thank you for the generosity

  • David Furman says:

Ahhh man. Aquila Absolute sounds like a serious banger and a true representation of perfumery at its finest. With such high quality ingredients alongside the use of mostly oil and organic this is definitely not to be taken lightly. It having stellar longevity and projection is what matters to me and makes it worth the money. That bottle is stunning as well. The blue compliments the gold accents and it’s a standout. Would love to try this as I don’t own any Electimuss London’s. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • Ramses Perez says:

The bottle is certainly unique and majestic compared to other Electimuss bottles. The fragrance itself also seems to be dense, rich and luxurious just in time for winter. This is the first time I see a white oud accord on a fragrance so I’m very interested to find out how that impacts the fragrance. It seems very complex and ever-changing based on the kites alone. Looks like Electimuss has another hit in their hands. Cheers from NJ, USA

  • Minna Scholten says:

I love the idea of a celestial inspiration channeled through the beautiful materials described here. This composition sounds incredibly unique and really beautiful. I liked this insight into the creative process from Julien’s essay: “ We are like writers…We need to cross out or reduce raw materials, to sleep on an idea and come back to it the next day, to rewrite and sometimes discard, to question each raw material like each word would be questioned and finally to make sure it is the best expression of the olfactive story.” I’m in the US in Massachusetts.

  • This sounds like another beast of an Electimus scent.
Julian Rasquinet is truly a master perfumer.
Can’t wait to smell, would love to win.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

Mr. Topham’s closing statement really resonated and definitely invites intrigue for this fragrance. “Soaring on the wings of a majestic eagle through the cosmos”…makes you wonder about Monsieur Rasquinet’s inspiration for this offering. Could it have been during a burst of creative energy associated with his wife? “With each encounter, each sentence, each moment of the day there is a purpose of creation. And I am surrounded at home with her masterpieces which give me amazing energy.” Hope to add this scent to my collection. Appreciate the giveaway opportunity. Many blessings from VA, USA.

  • When I think of my childhood, what comes to my mind is the smell of Normandy. So many scent memories…the fresh cut grass, the rose garden, the Butterfly bushes, the smell of rotten apples on the ground in October, the wet soil in the forest in autumn, and the chimney fire in winter, the smell of my horse, and of the room where I hung her saddle, the smell of mint nearby the river, and the smell of earth as I tended my vegetable garden when I was 11 years old. A beautiful quote by Julien Rasquinet just highlights the power of smell and memories is so closely linked. Coer n3 LMR, Labdanum resinoid LMR, White Oud accord, Violet leaf Absolute Egypt LMR, The White Oud accord. A beautiful description by Karl has definitely piqued my interest. I adore the notes this sounds like a bewitching fragrance. Thanks a million from the UK

  • The first perfume I remember really loving was the one my mother was wearing, of course. I was fortunate as she has very good taste and her signature scent was “Aromatics Elixir”! One of the greatest marvels of perfumery! I cannot say I always intended to become a perfumer. The sure thing is that when I was a teenager, I fell in love with Fahrenheit, Kenzo pour Homme, and CHANEL Egoiste Platinum and with those fragrances, perfume took a very important place in my life.I didn’t know that the job of a perfumer even existed and didn’t realize the complexity and beauty of it. I only realized what it entailed when I joined IFF for a marketing internship in 2003, and became fascinated with the work of perfumers such as Dominique Ropion, Olivier Polge, and all the “hall of fame”in Neuilly. A very nostalgic reminiscents of Julien Rasquinet just shows that you never forget scent memories just adds another dimension to the power of smell. I am intrigued and just in love with the notes especially Rose, Patchouli and Oud. A beautiful piece by Karl emphasise the longevity and potency just takes this to another stage. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • This award winning fragrance sounds great. I like Capua and Imperium from the same house, so my expectations are high for this one. The Aquila constellation was an inspiration for this scent. And the 25% oil concentration will guarantee good longevity and sillage. Greetings from EU.

  • This fragrance has a little bit of everything and is dirty enough to make it challenging. Fairly unique and intriguing in my opinion. I think one can wear this in the summer, it seems like a beautiful fragrance that will leap off your skin when the heat hits it.

  • Thanks for highlighting Electimuss’ sustainability practices. I had never heard of LMR before and got to poking around on their website where they actually go through each of the oils they used in this fragrance and where it came from. It really is a testament to this brand seeing as how even their name comes from a Latin translation meaning “to choose the best”. My favorite quote from his essay is this simple sentence “I believe, that for most of us, talent is nothing without hard work.” because it can apply to anyone in any industry. NYC USA

  • Sounds interesting straight on the wish list , thanks for the review and opportunity to win.I’m intrigued by the notes on it. I have never smelled anything from Electimuss. This one sounds amazing.

  • What really appeals to me about Karl’s review is his way of describing the notes. It just takes me into another world where I can actually see myself smelling the perfume in real time. Really loved it.

  • Perfumes that ae inspired something always pique my interest and one inspired by space and the constellations, is a inspired choice. he describes the fragrance as an encapsulation of the regal spirit of the eagle soaring through the celestial realms. as the king of the skies, symbolizes power, beauty, and elegance. That’s a very powerful description that makes you want to experience his vision. His training under Pierre Bourdon and how he came to know him is one for the books: “Pierre and my father met in an airport, they had already met before at some dinners, but my dad had no idea what kind of a humongous star Pierre was. So after they met at the airport, my father gave me his contact card telling me, “I met this guy, he does something in perfumes, and maybe it’s interesting for you” USA

  • It sounds really good that it is 25% oil concentration. I like long lasting fragrances. I very like the notes too.
    I live in Europe.

  • I would really like to win this perfume because I love the work of Julien Rasquinet, notably The Moon for Frederic Malle and Iris cendre for Naomi Goodsir. I don’t know the Electimuss brand at all and I’ve never tried their perfume, that would be a first. What attracts me most about this brand is its commitment to the environment which for me is the most important nowadays in the world we live in: “Electimuss London Aquila Absolute is a responsible creation in harmony with the environment.”What I like most in Karl’s opinion is this little sentence, it’s very beautiful: “prepare to be enveloped in the wings of the majestic eagle, soaring through the cosmos.”
    I live in France, EU.

  • Aquila Absolute by Electimuss London i think is modern, multifaceted fragrance with a high compliment factor.
All nuances Karl Topham told us about i find attractive, the spices , the leather, the raspberries and natural oud .
Good performance, and complint factor are always welcomed , Julien Rasquinet known well how to make it happen with sustainable ingredients
10ml decant of Amber Aquilaria is in my possession, compliments galore.
“I think I replied with the most stupid sentence: “I will think about it”! I didn’t sleep a single minute and called 50 times the next day between 9h00 and 10h00 until someone picked up the phone; I told him it was a dream come true and for the rest of my life I would be loyal and grateful to him.”

I love the constellation imaging. I am a fan of white oud and I am so glad Julien played with it in accordance with patchouli and violet. The opening of cardamom is also one of my favorite. I also love that it has leather as Karl explained. This surely is a superb composition.

I would love to try it. USA

  • Great review Karl! Electimuss seems like a very innovative house particularly with its use of LMR oils and its commitment to sustainability. A 25% oil concentration is impressive and is an indicator of the quality of the fragrance. The floral elements in combination with the raspberry, leather and oud accords sound elegant. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous! I’m in MD, USA.

  • Aquila, the constellation represents Zeus’s pet eagle that is “soaring through the celestial realms”…

The inspirations behind olfactory creations are always intriguing. The story told here is one of the most captivating and engaging I’ve ever encountered. It successfully piqued my curiosity about how Mr. Rasquinet managed to bottle “the essence of power, beauty, and elegance”.

    Portland, Oregon, USA

  • I love when I hear the story a fragrance tells before I smell it. An eagle symbolizes power, beauty, and elegance while in flight, which this fragrance is trying to capture sounds extremely interesting. Also the 25% oils sounds like a beast as well. Haven’t tried this house yet so this would be a wonderful introduction.

  • Along with that striking bottle, the 25% oil concentration immediately stands out—Electimuss London Aquila Absolute must be potent and tenacious. Rose and raspberry pairings are lovely, and violet leaf is always a welcome dose of complexity, plus I’m curious about that “White Oud” accord. The brand’s emphasisis on sustainable LMR oils is also notable. Thanks for the review, Karl.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Thank you Karl for the entertaining and informative review. I’ve experienced and loved a couple of Julien Rasquinet’s creations (Hacivat X and Russian Tea) and expect Aquila Absolute to match the majesty of the eagle. I’ve only had Capua from Electimuss London and would love to experience Aquila Absolute. TX USA

  • Really enjoyed the review by Karl. Aquila Absolute has a unique composition so it’s sort of hard to imagine the scent, such as with the white oud accord or labdanum, but the hyperlinks and Karl’s descriptions (that were beautifully done) of the Aquila Absolute’s dry down were really helpful in understanding the scent profile.

  • A gentler oud fragrance, how nice! Mr. Rasquinet is a master of his work, so I bet the fragrance is a masterpiece, and it certainly seems that way based on Karl’s words. The bottle itself is so lovely that I would splash the €200+ that it costs. Hopefully I get to try it!

I reside in the Sweden, EU.

  • Nice review Karl! What a great scent Mr. Rasquinet did! Love his work (The Moon is one of my preferred perfumes) and here he has used the amazing LMR oils , the very best of natural raw materials. Karl has a beautiful way to describe Electimuss London Aquila Absolute: a scent” to feel the majesty of an eagle’s flight”. This opulent juice (25% concentration) brings longevity and a great sillage. The aromas dances with an opening of bright and lively Cardamom & Raspberry, then a blooming floral heart of turkish rose and geranium to end with a complex mix of Patchouli, Labdanum, Violet leaf and the not so common and exotic White Oud accord. Power, Beauty, and Elegance in a sustainable way: a great Christmas present. I live in Spain, EU.

  • At this point I love anything from Rasquinet , such a great great master perfumer.

I love Julian and this perfume sounds enchanting. The rose sounds like it would be my favorite. I want to win this and live in Indiana.

  • The blue and gold bottle design is appealing, I like the combination. I didn’t get much of an idea on how it smells reading the review, but I guess from the notes description would be fresh spicy rose with a rich, maybe dark base of leather/patchouli/labdanum. And it sound promising. I haven’t smelled any Electimuss but I hear about this brand more and more. Having Julien Rasquinet creating this perfume, does bring me hope that it’s good.

  • A few monts ago I ordered Electimuss London , at the time current sample set, and I’m impressed , true lavishness for the senses. So many beautiful fragrances , gourmands , aromatics, shypres … all smelling luxury, long lasting, and rather unique.
Bought the sample set from Essenza Nobile €120 (20×1.8ml) , the biggest German niche boutique and distributor, and at the time of my purchase both Aquila Absolute was not yet on the market. Comparing my sample set, with the latest one available on Electimuss London websites , i can see some changes were made , Pompona Vitalis, Jupiter and Octavian samples are no longer available in the current set , ( discontinued maybe? ) and are replaced with Vanilla Edesia, Aquila Oud and Gladiator Oud.
Spicy fruity leather, rose and patchouli, made by Julien Rasquinet? I can tell Electimuss London commitment to artistry and innovation continues with Vanilla Edesia , sustainable LMR ingredients , and Aquila constellation inspiration.

“I was too shy and believed I didn’t have the necessary background, as I graduated from a business school, not from ISIPCA”

Dreaming big is a must for every self driven person, perfumer like Julien Rasquinet or a barber like me. The quote is from the essay with Julien

Karl Topham’s enchanting portrayal of Electimuss London’s Aquila Absolute delves into the symphonic evolution of this fragrance, akin to a celestial ballet. The olfactory journey begins with a spirited overture of Cardamom Oil Guatemala LMR, a vibrant prelude that gracefully yields to a delicate raspberry accord, teasing the senses with its subtle sweetness. As this olfactory narrative unfolds, the heart notes take center stage, where Turkish Rose Absolute and Pure Geranium Oil from Egypt entwine in a harmonious duet, weaving an intricate tapestry of floral elegance. It’s here that Aquila Absolute truly unfurls its artistic prowess, capturing the ethereal essence of nature’s blooms. Gradually, the composition descends into its rich denouement; Patchouli Coer n3 LMR, Labdanum resinoid LMR, White Oud accord, and Violet leaf Absolute Egypt LMR form a resolute foundation, leaving a mesmerizing and lingering resonance.

    Excited to try this.

“Inspired by the Aquila constellation, the fragrance seeks to encapsulate the regal spirit of the eagle soaring through the celestial realms. Aquila, as the king of the skies, symbolizes power, beauty, and elegance”

Aquila comes from Latin, and it means eagle. There are multiple different myths worldwide about the constellation, in almost all occasions it’s identified as eagle, vulture or falcon because of the bird like shape. Not sure which mythology Karl is referring, since the meaning is different in some , for example Aquila was on the flags , shields , helmets and so on of the Roman legions , and it’s also the bird that by orders of Zeus kidnapped Ganymede ( maybe the inspiration behind Marc-Antoine Barrois fragrance).
Like Karl well pointed out Aquila Absolute is both alluring and captivating, in my opinion in a more grown up way . Personally I barely get geranium , everything else Karl spoke about i do , the leather, rose , cardamom, patchouli etc. It’s a foundation of depth and complexity indeed, the soaring through the skies like eagle feeling thanks to Julien Rasquinet.
    From the essay:

“Since you’ve asked me which my favorite raw materials, Michelyn, I keep thinking about this question! I know it sounds like a simple question! I like perfumery that has a certain richness and texture, and I believe this is doable with most of the olfactive families. I first wanted to answer: cistus-labdanum, patchouli Heart N*3 LMR, Turkish rose oil LMR and leather..”

I love reading Julien Rasquinet own words on the matter, leather, rose, patchouli, raspberries, labdanum, tobacco are the notes I’m thinking about first when I think of him.

  • The lightness and delicateness of the cardamon combined with the grounding of the darker base (labdanum!) makes this sound both ethereal as well as the darkness of the night sky. It’s a very interesting concept that I’d love to smell in person. The quality of the ingredients sound outstanding as well!

I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • 25% oil concentration ? what ? my oversprayer innerself is being challenged 😀
i don’t own an Electimuss fragrance yet and i would love to be finally a happy giveaway winner.

  • This is one I knew I wanted to try as soon as they released it (yet again, I find myself wishing I lived closer to London!) so I’m glad to read Karl’s impressions and live vicariously through him! Thanks for the opportunity. EU

I am a fan of the Leathery dark notes. Karl explained that this fragrance is made to show the multiple facets of oud with leathery notes. I would love to try it. I’m in the UK.

The review was great, I love the way you described it. It sound so amazing I love a Labdanum fragrance, especially in winter, I would love to get a bottle. Karl talking about his experience and the LMR oils they use really intrigued me. Thanks for the review.

《I think I replied with the most stupid sentence: “I will think about it”! I didn’t sleep a single minute and called 50 times the next day between 9h00 and 10h00 until someone picked up the phone; I told him it was a dream come true and for the rest of my life I would be loyal and grateful to him. 》

Reading the essay made me think of how very few people know the true meaning of words like loyal and grateful. Good job Julien Rasquinet , you engendered Russian Tea and Roses Berberanza , and keeping in mind the zealous examination of Electimuss London Aquila Absolute by Karl Topham i know he did splendid work again.
Aquila constellation, mythical eagle, sustainable leather, rose, patchouli stepping on foundation of depth and complexity, Aquila Absolute is elaborate fragrance i’d really like to win.
    Thank you kindly, from EU

A huge fan of electimuss london myself and I really loved how good the performance is on this fragrance as Karl mentioned. Really looking forward to trying this.

  • The sustainability aspect as well as the whole inspiration from Aquila Constellation intrigues me about this particular release form the house. Leather and oud combination again is a huge plus for me, definitely a winter gem.

  • What most appeals to me about the review is that it says that Julien Rasquinet is the perfumer – I’ve enjoyed his work since Fidelis!

I like how, from Karl’s description, this doesn’t sound easily categorizable. Yes, it is floral, but it sounds like it has a lot of other things going on in it, with cardamom, raspberry, patchouli and oud all going into the mix. This seems to me to be what perfumery is all about. I live in the US, in North Carolina.

    Hello from UK
Jovoy UK boutique in Mayfair is where I discovered Electimuss London fragrances , and bought Amber Aquilaria .
I like learning about the essence of Aquila constellation, and how the fragrance was made to encapsulate the eagle soaring through celestial realms.
With 25% oil concentration Aquila Absolute is a powerful fragrance, it lasts for a long time, and sillage is like Karl Topham said captivating.
The leather is so good, with lush rose, spices and sweetness is there from the raspberries , nowhere near gourmand of course. I can black tea too.
Karl Topham do have a point when he implied Aquila Absolute is an olfactory journey that captures the essence of power, beauty, and elegance , it is elegant and a fragrance for more special occasions.
To my my taste Amber Aquilaria is the best Electimuss London fragrance, work of art boozy amber i bought late last year .

-The sure thing is that when I was a teenager, I fell in love with Fahrenheit, Kenzo pour Homme, and CHANEL Egoiste Platinum and with those fragrances, perfume took a very important place in my life-

Wow those 3 are important to me too , classics I still wear in 24′ . The quote is from Julien Rasquinet essay.
    Thank you so much

  • Julien Rasquinet is the author of a few fragrances I love Green Bubble Jusbox, Enclave Amouage and Vanilla and Leather ST Dupont .

“he told me before his retirement he wanted to train two young perfumers. He had already chose Julie Masse, and then chose me too. I was so surprised and shocked I was unable to answer, and don’t even remember the end of our discussion. I think I replied with the most stupid sentence: “I will think about it”! I didn’t sleep a single minute and called 50 times the next day between 9h00 and 10h00 until someone picked up the phone”

I love how Julien Rasquinet took his chances , because as most people know sometimes there is no next time, no second chance and no time outs. Sometimes it’s now , or never.
I’ve heard Electimuss praised by many people online, but I still have to discover their upscale fragrances. I like doubling down on sustainability approach by the brand, beautiful bottles and quality of the fragrances. Aquila Absolute is attractive because how complex it is , with patchouli leather, Turkish rose , raspberries and classy approach
    Thanks a bunch

  • “I owe my career and much more to one man, the great Pierre Bourdon. …..but my dad had no idea what kind of a humongous star Pierre was. So after they met at the airport, my father gave me his contact card telling me “I met this guy, he does something in perfumes, and maybe it’s interesting for you”. When I saw the name on the card, I jumped to the ceiling, and after I had stopped bouncing off the walls, I called him.”

What a story I can relate to because in a similar manner I had the honor of meeting, training for years, and working under the great Pierre Hermé, top 3 Pastry Chefs and Chocolatiers in the world. I’m glad Pierre Bourdon took Julien Rasquinet under his wing because now we can buy , and enjoy fragrances by not by some apprentice but a true master perfumer.
Karl Topham take on Aquila Absolute made me think of making, and later on eating Rose Water, Cardamom and Fresh Raspberries Cake , while sitting on a leather sofa , looking at the sky with pair of eagles flying by. The whole thing is how I imagined Aquila Absolute.
I own 10ml travel spray of Amber Aquilaria, spectacular opulent boozy vanilla , and I wonder what kind of fragrance Julien Rasquinet cooked for Electimuss London.
Appreciate the review, Julien Rasquinet essay, and the giveaway campaign

I loved Karl’s review of Electimuss Aquila Absolute. I’m very impressed with everything I’ve tried from the brand Aquila Absolute the winner of (Best Luxury / Niche Fragrance, Beauty Awards, London 2023) and perfumed by the brilliant Julien Rasquinet. Inspired by the Aquila constellation with a 25% concentration with so many notes that I love. I would love to try this. I am from the USA.

  • This almost sounds like a confection to be eaten, but words like “opulence” and “resonance” reveal that it so very much more than just a nice blend. It sounds as if it smells as magnificently as the bottle looks! I live in the US

Let’s face it , whether it’s for work, business meeting, or social nights out , every man needs a perfectly fitting tailor made suit suit , brown loafers and a fragrance like Aquila Absolute.
I like the beautiful colors of the bottle, the leather, non gourmand raspberries, oud , the sense of refinery is tickling my fancy even more.
Navy Blue 3 piece suit suit, width lapels, double vents, patch pockets and working sleeve buttons and Aquila Absolute will give me a perfect balance between modern, formal and casual. Sophisticated fragrance i’d love to win.

“Patience first, because it takes years before you are able to bring into reality the ideas you might have had in the beginning of your career, when you still don’t have the technique, the experience, and the needed determination to take risks. It takes a good 10 years for a perfumer to be really able to master his art. The first three years of your apprenticeship will probably be the most questioning and difficult time of your life.”
    – Julien Rasquinet

Correct, patience is the key. I do believe i’m quite talented and yet I was apprentice for 10 years before I even started calling myself a tailor.
Thank you Karl Topham, Electimuss London

  • “I have chosen each raw material like choosing the right word to tell a story. It only depends on the message and the brief. I don’t want to keep telling the same story!”

Julien Rasquinet is slowly becoming one of my favortie perfumers for how he does exactly what his quote says, tell a story. Lately I have picked up a few of his fragrances like Hacivat X and Tabac Rose and they just transition so well as you wear them. So i’m not surprised when Karl mentions how this fragrance unfurls with an enchanting dance of aromas and then to add that 25% oil concentration I just know this will not turn into a skin scent too fast.

    I live in Dallas, TX

  • I’ll start with the quote we had to share:
“If you don’t have the moral exigency to do things with perfection, if you can bear approximations and you are not passionate enough to question every raw material you used in a formula as well as their proportions, then do not follow this path!”
Dedicated is a must for the 21st century competition, and expectations are high for everyone.
The marvelous looking bottles, and the honest opinion by Karl Topham makes me feel Aquila Absolute is a free will fragrance with leather, oud ,roses and mysticism. Thank you

  • Julien Rasquinet i like a lot , so made masterpiece he signed up, and future ones are on the horizon.
I had the pleasure of smelling Aquila Absolute and Karl Topham is on point, fragrance is sophisticated with a few interesting ideas and twists. I like how the leather is not harsh and animalic, but more comfortable and oud is on the clean side.
Working and teaching Marketing and Storytelling for many years I’m pleasantly surprised by what Julien Rasquinet said himself ->

Hard work is close to the previous idea, but I believe very few perfumers are lazy. I believe, that for most of us, talent is nothing without hard work. We are like writers, I would never want to see one of my “draft copies” on the market.

The Aquila constellation, and the eagle soaring through the celestial realms mythology , it fits the fragrance perfectly. It could be me but I also smell honey in Aquila Absolute, not super sweet variety , but it’s there from the opening until dry down. I also like learning from Karl that Aquila symbolizes power, beauty and elegance because Aquila Absolute is true representation of the 3.
From posh Electimuss London fragrances I’ve smelled Amber Aquilaria is my favorite, the cognac is so good it makes me want to treat myself 🙂
Cheers with Remy Martin XO Gold limited edition, and thank you for the opportunity
