A scent that celebrates special moments and how it can evoke memories and experiences. This scent it sensual and smooth. An opening of a zesty bergamot that is grounded by lavender and pear that imbues a green note that is crisp and sweet. This scent truly shines for Sandi in its heart with rich white florals and rose that blend together with a complexity and depth with the addition of the soft woods notes that add an element of refinement. The base notes of velvet mahogany, creamy musk and Nagarmotha creates a luxurious blend that adds the warmth of polished woods, a sensual, creamy musk and an earthiness that together, anchor the scent. Cypress Cove An Evening At The Resort is a tactile experience that for the wearer will evoke something unique for each person that wears it.

  • This review by Sandi does a great job of allowing me to close my eyes a visualize a scent, which sounds like it shouldn’t make any sense. I particularly appreciate the sense of appreciating every single note as a moment to be cherished. Really drives home the “at the resort” vibe.

An Evening At The Resort is one that invites the wearer to rejoice and ponder. It’s a fruity and gentle floral fragrance with a strong backdrop of woods and musk that places the scent right at the resort. Woods, flora, fauna and fruits are what one finds at a tranquil retreat with their loved ones. The notes have been carefully chosen to allude to this resort we’re dreaming about living in. I’m located in the USA.

Sounds like a very chic resort for sure. All the woods have my attention. I can imagine wearing this to a rooftop wine tasting after a day at the spa at sunset. Thanks for showcasing this, I hadn’t heard of it. USA.

  • Fragrance sounds really appealing and very well described in the article. Would love to take on my upcoming resort visit in Atlanta. My wife would definitely love the white florals and rose. USA.

    Hi there,

While at a spa retreat, rather than a resort, I had the good fortune of welcoming in the new century away from home in 1999. I met no one that I remember the name of; it was an eclectic bunch that gathered in the dining room at midnight…So weird!!! I remember being relaxed, without champagne, and present in my own body and state of mind. Setting the stage for what would be the most interesting decade of my life.

So that’s what comes to mind as I read this review. I was also intrigued by the bio about my last-namesake, Theresa Murphy. Like me, she has had a lifelong appreciation for the sights and smells of travel throughout the US, and we probably share some common 1970’s photographs of us with our parents!

Cheers to Theresa, and thank you for this review.

The idea of capturing the golden hour in a perfume, especially in a peaceful coastal setting, is really intriguing. The description painted such a vivid mood that it made me want to smell it for myself, especially how notes like immortelle and cypress are used to bring that moment to life. USA

  • As I get older I realize just how cherished those memories are and a fragrance that brings them to the forefront is special indeed. In maryland.

Sandi’s review of An Evening at the Resort made me think that I am overdue for a trip to a resort. I started dreaming about resorts on the Caribbean or maybe on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. I especially like chic resorts where we can dress up a little, and make cocktail and dinner hour a special event. The Golden Hour, indeed. I love the notes in An Evening at the Resort, especially the lavender, pear skin, and mahogany. This fragrance sounds so evocative!

  • An Evening at the Resort sounds like a an elegant, feminine fragrance that would be worn by a high society lady. The rich white florals, smooth and velvety woods and creamy musks signify class and a quiet refinement that doesn’t need to try too hard to be noticed. Sounds like a lovely perfume for people who appreciate the finer things in life. MD, USA

  • I have never tried anything from this house but I do love a woodsy floral. This sounds dreamy and I’d love to win the bottle. I am located in the U.S.

  • I’m intrigued by Cypress Cove’s combination of lavender and pear skin; that sounds both lively and springlike. The mahogany accord in the base is also compelling—I don’t see that note referenced often. Ideal floral for warmer evenings.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Sandi has made me 1) want a vacation to a resort and 2) want to try this fragrance. An energetic sweet opening, pretty woody floral mid, and comforting warm base sounds like the perfect perfume for a perfect day. Would love to try this new-to-me brand. CA, USA

Great review Sandi! When I was reading I can tell that this fragrances its feel like an escape from the busy pace of life. It might remind someone of being on vacation and getting away from the world’s noise. By the notes I can say that is a scent to be soft, soothing, and evocative of a serene natural environment. If you’re into light, fresh, and earthy scents that transport you to a calm retreat, it would likely be a great fit for you. it’s for people who want a fragrance that aligns with a nature-inspired, relaxing atmosphere but at the same time want to make a statement with their fragrance. From USA.

  • I was charmed Sandi’s description of how this fragrance seems to create the emotions felt through each period of a “day at the resort” – the crisp fruits bringing energy and anticipation in the morning, the rich florals bringing a deeper enjoyment throughout the heart of the day, and the woods and musks bringing calm and stability as the day winds down into the evening. I am in MA.

I’ve never tried a Cypress Cove fragrance but after Sandi’s review I’m very interested. An Evening At The Resort sounds glorious. Who doesn’t love a good getting pretty, going out, and showing out kind of scent. I’d love to try this one out. In the USA.

  • This screams springtime floral, fresh, and woody contender that could work year round. I love the original note breakdown and the use of lighter and lesser known components. I’m confident this wears fresh and clean with nothing overpowering or outta place. Would love to win, from Jacksonville, NC.
