Thierry Wasser’s sequel to La Petite Robe, La Petite Robe Noire Modele no. 2 reaches for the same fruity floral demographic without sacrificing the Guerlain style.
One of my favorite places to spend the first week of April is walking around the Tidal Basin in Washington DC. There is the freshness of the spring air, the very slightly floral character of the cherry blossoms, magnified by their abundance, paired with the woodiness of the trees. It is one of those magical moments only nature provides. Now Jo Malone and in-house perfumer have captured the fragrant experience of this transient moment in their latest release Sakura Cherry Blossom.

Strindberg’s play of class struggle, morality, and gender roles fits Caron’s Poivre to a T.
Bertrand Duchaufour was toying around with a pear and iris duality before his brainstorming session with Parfums MDCI owner claude Marchal. While I imagine M Duchaufour could have worked something magical out of pear and iris; I can only thank the serendipity that changed their thinking to pear and osmanthus. La Belle Helene is the kind of perfume that allows the aesthetic of M Duchaufour’s duality to shine beautifully.
The Delicate Ones is tenacious, amorous, and emotive -much like Amanda herself.
It is lushly floral, with a deeply resinous quality. Don’t judge a book by its cover!
