As an American Perfumer my perfumes are all-American jazz- improv and impressionist riffs that are based on my study and solid understanding of European classical methods. I stand in solidarity with our collaborative international perfume community -Shelley Waddington
I think that the more people learn the more they will want to make their own perfume and in the learning they will become more responsible and educated about the environment and realize that ‘nature’ provides. This is the earth-driven web of life.
Being an American perfumer, I felt less conventional constraints to creativity. Although we study the same classic fine fragrances, our market is so diverse that it allows for a broad range of tastes that stray far from the classics.
I like the fact that I am an American perfumer. I think one’s scent is very personal so, for me, I wanted to create a scent that was sexy with layers of mystery. I always want to ‘enter’ the room before actually entering, and to linger long after I left. If you love vanilla this draw is for you.
