Best Summer Fragrances 2022 + Sunny Days and Sultry Nights Giveaways

Best Summer Fragrances 2022

Best Summer Fragrances 2022 ©Steven

The sun is out, the beach beckons and you finally made the switch from sweaters to sandals.  So how did we choose our best summer fragrances 2022? Steven and I recommend fresh, minty, aromatic, floral, citrus, aquatic often laced with incense or oakmoss. Summertime is the right time for lighter, brighter fragrance by day and sultry but not heavy scents for night. Michelyn Camen-Editor-in-Chief

In particular order here are our Best Summer Fragrances 2022:

Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste (House of Molinard perfumers): Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste (Heavenly Star) is like a summer wish come true, a delicate, sparkling fragrance, aptly named Heavenly Star.  Etoile Céleste opens fresh and luminous, then you are immediately swept away by notes of sweet, cool violet, bergamot and wet jasmine. This combination creates an impression of summer rain falling, cooling you down after an especially hot day. Villa des Parfums fragrances goes to support the work of the nonprofit Parfums de Vie, both in the original mansion and now in the new Parfums de Vie Education and Literacy Center, a safe, supportive place for children and young people to flourish and grow in the perfumed city of Grasse. One of our best summer fragrances of 2022 or any season. Smell good and do good. Notes: Bergamotjasmine absolute, powder, violetorange blossomrose absoluteVirginia cedar woodHaitian vetiver and musk. Michelyn

Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur (Manuel Cross): Rogue Perfumery was Michelyn’s best artisan house of 2021. Vetifleur is a lush floral ode to classic chypres that is sparklingly, elegant, timeless and stunning. Genius blend of vetiver, oakmoss and iris from a genius perfumer.-Michelyn and Steven

Parfums de Marly Sedley (Hamid Merati-Kashani & Olivier Cresp) is a blend of incense and citrus. This duality creates a long-lasting summer fragrance with character and an intriguing evolution, fresh but with a twist that’s nice for day into evening. – Steven and MIchelyn

Navitus Aweigh (Jorge Lee) is a resolute composition featuring lavender, yuzu, mint, and incense. The meditative base is an exciting conclusion to this otherwise bright and luminous citrus composition inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. –Steven

Bvlgari Tygar (Jacques Cavallier) is a tart grapefruit composition with an ambroxan base. The modernity of the fragrance captures the milieu of the current olfactive landscape.

Roja Parfums Oceania (Roja Dove) is a blend of floral ingredients like violet, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. Lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit create the refreshment while cedar and moss create the uncompromising longevity-Steven

Fiore di Portofino by Moresque (Andrea Casotti) is an aromatic take on citrus The basil opening is flavorful, and it complements the geranium beautifully. Italian citrus fruits of orange and lemon evoke the brightness of the summer sun while a base note of vetiver keeps the earthy aroma alive. –Steven

Xerjoff Torino21 is a bright citrus fragrance with vibrant and uplifting ingredients many from Italy. Herbaceous basil, rosemary and thyme truly make it unique. With a floral heart that is a a combination of jasmine and lavender. and a thread of verbena weaves in an out throughout and a clean musk at the base. Vibrant and uplifting Xerjoff Torino21 is well-suited for any occasion.-Michelyn

Nicolai Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli (Patricia de Nicolai): Can I compare this to a summer day? In Cap Antibes? Cap Neroli is an exceptional citrus; it is not a neroli soliflore. Yes, the entire orange: pulp, twig, flower, branch and leaf is there but so is the herbal astringency of rosemary which feels like a light ocean breeze as our sun warmed bodies are showered with petals of Mediterranean blooms. –Michelyn

After My Own Heart: Ineke Ruhland‘s “letter A” After My Own Heart brings back precious moments in my life. There are many lilac fragrances, but none are as evocative as After My Own Heart. I have long drained the last drops from my original bottle (2006 when I discovered Ineke perfumes). A burst of bergamot, sweet tang of raspberry at the opening and then the entire lilac- the flower, the stem, and the leaves are met by a hint of woody musk that dries down like a second skin. It is one of the most hopeful fragrances I ever smelt, and after a winter of discontent that sounds just about right for summer-Michelyn

Video Journalist Steven Gavrielatos reviews our Best Summer Fragrances 2022

Disclosure: Steven received Xerjoff Torino, After My Own Heart, Vetifleur,  Parfums de Marly Sedley, Etoile Celeste, and Cap Neroli for use in our Best Summer Fragrances 2022 collection. Michelyn received Etoile Celeste and Cap Neroli in past years. All else were samples.

  • Vetifleur sounds great, loved Steven’s enthusiasm for it, and Michelyn’s for Cap Neroli. From the EU.

  • JaMichael Sanders says:

Steven is a teacher to fragrances and I enjoy watches his videos from a student perspective he gives a brief insight and a great description of all the fragrances he reviews… Michelyn did a great job with a quick and brief description of the breakdowns of each fragrance reviewed.

The fragrance I would love to win is Aweigh. I live in Virginia

  • A few fragrances stand out to me such as the two below I’m interested in. Most others I haven’t tried and one or two, I’m not sure if they are worthy of this list. If chosen I’d like the Cap Neroli or the Etoile Céleste. US

  • hshinkoda says:

Great review Steven and Michelyn! I love my dark and rich perfumes but I’m dying to try Navitus fragrances. Aweigh sounds amazing and perfect for the beautiful summer days ahead of us!!!! Second choice would be Etoile Céleste perfect for a sunset and outdoor dining!!! I’m from Massachusetts, US.

  • Filip Zhelev says:

Very useful and fruitful information. I would like to win Roja Dove – Oceania, because some of the money for that fragrance are going to charity, and the other reason is that I can’t put my nose to try it. I am from EU – Bulgaria.

  • My initial pick was Bulgari Tygar since I mentioned on Stevens video I was recently trying to find Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim. It looks as though that’s not an option for this drawing, so a very close second for me is Xerjoff Torino21. I absolutely adore the house and really have been wanting to try this since it’s release. Thanks!

  • chickenisamazing says:

Would love to get my hands on Nicolai Parfumeur’s Cap Neroli. Steven also sold me on Xerjoff’s Torino21 and Bvlgari Tygar; nothing like a beautiful fresh citrus in the summer.

  • They way that Steven and Michelyn describe Torino 21 make it sound intriguing with the herbaceous note combined with lemon. Torino 21 would be my first choice if selected, but I also love neroli in the summer and wouldn’t mind Cap Neroli.

  • I considered myself a fanatic of the good perfume! I know I would be the winner !

  • I have been a long time subscriber and appreciate all of his efforts and reviews he has done. It’s getting hot in L.A and Im looking for some of those top tier fragrances

  • I think neroli cap by Nicolai would be delightful. As for the reviews, Steve was very descriptive with all the scents, well done. Michelyn’s review was also enjoyable.

  • Nikolina_84 says:

I’d choose Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli because of Steven’s and Michelyn’s reviews – it sounds like the perfect fresh, juicy summer fragrance. Like Michelyn said “Can I compare this to a summer day?”
    Hugs from Croatia, EU.
    Following on Instagram as @nikolina_84

  • Starlit12 says:

Michelyn set the mood wonderfully in her introduction, summing up hers and Steven’s summer choices, and then Steven described his selected frags in a simple and straightforward, yet apt and coherent way.
My choice would be Étoile celeste, due to the crisp and fresh “rainy” quality of it or Cap Neroli, which sounds like a fantastic citrus floral for the hot days to come.
    EU.

  • Hey another giveaway! That’s great, Thank you.
I am very interested in Nicolai Parfumeur Createur 100 ml of Cap Neroli, also Rogue Perfumery of Vetifleur. I am from USA-Washington

  • Nicholos Alli says:

hi this is my first time leaving a comment for the giveaway thou i have been following steven and carlos for years. the 2 fragrances that caught my eye are torino 21 and Oceania. I’ve heard so many good things about these fragrances i MUST try them this summer and see how the develop in this humid louisiana heat. stevens review was awesome as usual. I actually sampled all of his summer recommendations for 2021 and was not disappointed. If i win i would love to have a bottle of aweigh not only because it sounds like it smells good but also because steven worked on it. Goodluck to everyone that enters!

  • I’d be interested in Cap Neroli. Stevens/Mychelins reviews are always really interesting because they cover more unknown scents.
    Good luck everybody from Germany.

  • Summer is an interesting time for fragrance as you have to tone down the sweetness to avoid being too much. Both lists bring interesting citrus fragrances and bitter notes. Vetifleur interestingly skips most of the typical citrus and goes for a chypre with the iris addition. It sounds amazing! I have not heard about Etoile Celesté but it sounds very good. Floral paradise. Patricia de Nicolaï is an amazing perfumer. Truly underrated. Her take on neroli is a must-try for my.

So these are what I’d like to win:
    Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur
    Villa des Parfums Etoile Celesté
    Nicolaï Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli

    I live in Denmark, EU

  • I think the reviews were very insightful as well as refreshing. I am grateful to be made aware of some awesome brands and fragrances that I previously had no knowledge of. I would really like to try all of them but my number one pick would probably be Aweigh. I am located in the US and I thank you for allowing to leave a comment.

  • Khalil Nasir says:

Steven did an a amazing job talking about Aweigh and I love how Micheyln explains how fragrances has such important aspect in our live that memories that last forever.

  • Giorgia295 says:

Love the Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste combination of citruses and violet.
    Greetings from Italy

  • Steven’s videos and Michelyn’s descriptions always pait together quite nicely. Steven’s teaching skills always shines in his videos. My choice would be Vetifleur. Indiana USA

  • Both Michelyn and Steven say positive things about Nicolai Cap Neroli. Michelyn says it reveals all aspects of orange from pulp, flower, and branch to leaf. Steven mentions it has neroli but also petitgrain and it has aromatic composition. My choice is Cap Neroli . I am in US.

  • Van Robinson says:

Awesome give away scents. Love the summer scents, probably my favorites d/t the way they uplift the spirit!

  • Choices would be Cap Neroli, Ineke After My Own Heart and Etoile Celeste. I really love Steven’s review about the best citrus summer scent, many had citrus in them which he emphasized even if the name of the scent did not make known the note was present. I really love Michelyn descriptive review of the summer fragrances, she really painted a picture of what the scent smells like which I really enjoy when I read reviews of scents. I live in the USA and my ig handle is cocoa36heart.

  • Summer is my favorite season so I know this is my drawing to win. I have been looking to start my journey into the fragrances over at Navitus for awhile now and would love for Aweigh to be that first bottle. I was planning on getting over the Christmas season but hey things came up. I ordered a sample and all of the reviews of this fragrance that Steven has are spot on. I live in Dallas, Texas and I feel like the heat here will be perfect for it. Michelyn’s review of “letter A” After My Own Heart does have me wanting to try a sample for sure. Been looking for scents with the raspberry note here lately. So cross my fingers and good luck to everyone else. My IG is @downsouthfragrances

  • I would love to get Sedley , my favorite from PDM . I always love Steve review as he’s a teacher but very knowledgeable and enthusiasm about fragrance . I live in Massachusetts .

  • Claude Flowers says:

This was a very insightful read into some fragrances im familiar with and some i am not! AWESOME!

  • Steven and Michelyn are two of the best reviewers in their chosen fields, and show great knowledge of these summer frags.
My choice would be Cap Neroli.
    @neefast on IG
    NV, USA

  • Cameron C. says:

Cameron in Virginia here! The Moresque or the Roja would be my choices, if I were fortunate enough to win! I loved Steven’s review of both of these. He made the Moresque sound like a perfect summer scent for my upcoming trip to Italy, with the basil and Italian citrus (which Michelyn states as well). But Michelyn’s Shakespeare reference in regards to the Nicolai fragrance may make me change my mind…

  • Several of these sound appealing, but Navitus Aweigh would be my selection. I like the fact that it is somewhat a unique scent and doesn’t smell generic. Torino 21 is probably my favorite summer fragrance I’ve tried recently and Steven described it perfectly.
Navitus – Aweigh would be my selection if I won
    Oklahoma, United States

  • Victors Nose says:

I would like Sedley or Torino21.

Great reviews, as always. I usually stick to Fall/Winter fragrances all year round as fresh fragrances have never suited me. But from your reviews it sounds as though either of these would be a good starting point to branch out.

    I live in the USA.

  • Hi there fellas.
Vetifleur sounds like a match for my taste in summer fragrances. Great job btw.
    Im from Israel

  • I love giveaways! So hopefully will be one of the lucky who gonna get some delicious fragrance ☺️

  • Michelyn & Steven!!! ❤️❤️❤️ What a fantastic list!!! ❤️ I love how Michelyn describes the floral notes in After My Own Heart, Torino21, Etoile Céleste, etc. If Michelyn approves of the floral notes, they must be exquisite! Steven does such a wonderfully thorough breakdown of these fragrances – so much learning!
If I were a lucky winner, I would select Cap Neroli (because this is the only fragrance on the list I’ve never experienced)! ❤️ Thank you for the wonderful opportunity! USA

  • Andrew DiPaola says:

Great per usual Steven, I love this time of year for fragrance as well. Such bright and uplifting scents are amazing for the heat. I would like to try your fragrance house, Navitus. And Aweigh sounds right up my alley. Thanks a lot for the chance!

  • uriel0190 says:

Loved the reviews and descriptions from Steven and Michelyn. I always learn about different brands and scent profiles following them, which I love. Navitus Aweigh sounds amazing especially with the yuzu note. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and this would be perfect for our hot humid summer.

    IG is welcome_2_the_xander_zone

  • Steven’s best summer Fragrances sound wonderful. Michelyn’s does a wonderful job describing each fragrance. I would love Cap Neroli, Rogue Vetifleur, Villa Des , My own heart.Thank you for this wonderful chance USA

  • Wow ! Michelyn’s description of Nicoläi Cap Neroli along with Steven puts this my first choice. Second is After My own Heart because I love lilac perfumes and third vetifleur because a sparking vetiver chypre sounds great
    I live in the USA

  • Greetings from NYC! I do think Aweigh is gonna be a good men’s choice for summer! But Cap Neroli also catches my eyes…. a hard choice indeed.

  • I would go for Cap Neroli from Parfums Nicolai as I would love to explore more this house.
Thank you! Best wishes from the EU!

  • NituNicolae says:

Great list, Reddolesence never slacks when it comes to interesting description and very diverse line up. Out of the ones mentioned I would like to win Cap Neroli by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur. I find it very simple yet unique. Thank you for the opportunity! From Romania, EU.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Étoile Céleste Villa is a woderful floral bouquet and is my choice to win. I am from Bucharest Romania Europe

  • I have been wanting to try Torino 21 so badly for awhile now. I had not heard about Vetifleur until this evening upon Steven and Michelyn’s review.

The scent profile sounds absolutely inciting!! I’m a big fan of fresh summery fragrances all year round.

  • Oh wow did you two pick some captivating scents! What choices! How do you truly narrow these down? I love a good Xerjoff, and really is there any other kind? And I have wanted to try a navitus perfume for a while, but I think after my own heart might just be that, after my own heart! Aptly named, I think. So that would be my choice should I be fortunate enough to win. Thanks for pointing me to some new scents. In maryland.

  • I really enjoy these combo reviews! My favourite part of your review, Michelyn, was reading about how Etoile Celeste proceeds are used- “smell good, do good”! Steven, I was so excited to see you included an Ineke fragrance! She is one of my favourite perfumers. My first choice is Etoile Celeste and my second choice is Vetifleur. Writing from the EU.

  • Based on Steven’s reviews, I’d love to try Vetifleur, but Michelyn won me over with description;… feels like a light ocean breeze as our sun warmed bodies are showered with petals of Mediterranean blooms.
That’s why my choice is Cap Neroli from Nicolai Parfumeur-Createur.
    EU
    IG: @dazi83

  • Perfumery was Michelyn’s best artisan house of 2021. Vetifleur is a lush floral ode to classic chypres that is sparklingly, elegant, timeless and stunning. Genius blend of vetiver, oakmoss and iris from a genius perfumer.-Michelyn and Steven. I am intrigued by all these fragrances but Vetifleur stands out because of vetiver, oakmoss and iris in particular. My instagram id is amnaaziz5296@gmail.com and I follow @cafleurebonofficial. Thanks a million from the UK

  • Cap Neroli is an exceptional citrus; it is not a neroli soliflore. Yes, the entire orange: pulp, twig, flower, branch and leaf is there but so is the herbal astringency of rosemary which feels like a light ocean breeze as our sun warmed bodies are showered with petals of Mediterranean blooms. –Michelyn. Great choices by Steven and Michelyn alike I really can’t choose a winner. Buy if I am lucky to win I would love to win Cap neroli by Nicolai. Intrigued by the rosemary note in particular because I have not tried anything with Rosemary. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • I would like to win Cap Neroli. I thought that Steven’s review was very precise and full of interesting information. I thought that Michelyn’s review was very detailed and unique. I really liked both of them. I live in Poland, EU.

  • Nice job by Steven. Based on the list، I think I’m going to like Vetifleur and Nicolai Cap Neroli most likely.
    Hopefully I can win something.

  • This gentleman is in my opinion one of the most trusted and objective reviewers. Looking forward to trying Sedley as I live in the Caribbean.

  • What an amazing and eye opening review. I love the line up that that was chosen but more importantly the knowledge that was given to the audience. I’m located in Canada and would love to experience Ineke, After My Own Heart. Thanks again

  • I am now collecting parfums from roja parfums and xerjoff would love to try ethier of these fantastic products or whatever i could receive as a wonderful gift . I live in belgium.

  • Antoine Jeffries says:

Loved the review I’m a fan of heavier fragrances looking to increase my summer fragrance collection. Xerjoff Torino 21 would probably be the fragrance I’d go for out if the collection of fragrances he’s mentioned.

  • John George says:

Michelyn’s description of After My Own Heart as “hopeful” was beautiful and almost made me put in for it but I am a sucker for citrus and agree with Steven’s opinions so often I just have to ask to be in the draw for NAVITUS – AWEIGH. I did appreciate him not trying to oversell his baby, I don’t know that I could be as humble as he is.

  • Hey Steven another great video . I love how you go into details about each fragrance. I am not familiar with moresque but heard good things. Michelyn sure has a way with words. Very poetic.
My choices since I am eligible for all would vetifleur, etoile Celeste and after my own heart. Greetings from Connecticut

  • I am a summer guy and a fragrance collector. Im from the Caribbean so I know how to enjoy a good summer scent. I love the smell of mint ginger water notes, citrusy neroli and other summer notes. Longevity and projection is very important to me. I would love to be entered in the draw.

  • I liked the diversity in Steven’s list, including some brands I’ve never tried like Rogue Perfumery. It’s much more interesting than the standard Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel list. I like how Michelyn gives a detailed description of the fragrances and really paints a picture (smell?) of the fragrance. I would like to win Navitus Aweigh and I live in NY. I follow the Cafleurbon IG my name is wrm_01

  • IvanVelikov says:

Most impressive fragrances in the 2022 Summer draw are
Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur, I wonder what kind of fragrance Michelyn calls “lush floral ode to classic chypres ”? I like elegant and timeless
Parfums de Marly Sedley , fragrance with a character, but incense is not something I smell in Sedley , but lots of lavender
    Navitus Aweigh

  • Sergio Luevano says:

Really hope if I win I can get either Rona or Parfums de Marly! Great work as always!

  • My mother’s spring garden was scented with lilacs, and now mine after planting a few saplings. I enjoyed Michelyn’s description of After My Own Heart because my mom also grew raspberries. Steven mentioned that it smells “natural smelling”. I do enjoy Ineke fragrances. One of my favs is Hothouse Flower. Thanks for more fantastic reviews. Mich USA @mary_luvs_flwrs

  • Super convenient timing! I was just thinking how tough it’s been for me to find a good summer fragrance that suits me in the muggy UK weather, I’ve ‘settled’ with the ones I have but a lot of the ones in this list are new to me. Vetifleur sounds like an interesting choice I’d love to get my nose on.

  • These all sound amazing! I am very into these summertime scents. I live in the US. I do follow you and my Instagram is @xoecraft . If I somehow win, my choices would be:
    1) Vetifleur
    2) Cap Neroli
    3) Navitus Aweigh

Thanks so much for the opportunity and for reviewing these fragrances.

  • Love Stephen’s channel. Tygar is my favorite of the ones I’ve tried. I’d love to win Aweigh, one of Stephen’s line.

  • Thank you Steven and Michelyn!
There are some great picks here, I really need to get my nose on Tygar at some point! Cap Neroli is a great scent. I have a soft spot for most PdN fragrances.
I would like to After my Own Heart.
    With love from Canada!

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

Thank you Steven, a great selection of fragrances. I would love to win them all . Top work . Greetings from Germany

  • Berberesque_15 says:

Steven is so cheerful, I like him very much. His reviews, even if quick as in top 10s, give a very true idea about how a perfume smells like.
While reading Michelyn’s review, I really felt connected to her; the chosen words and the way she speaks about perfumes radiates knowledge, passion and love for scents, a love we all share!
    I live in the UK.

  • Ron Nelson says:

Vetifleur sounds the most interesting to me. I love the idea of the flowery notes blended with the note of vetiver. Enjoy the descriptions on both parts for these fragrances but the Vetifleur sounds best to me. Thank you for this giveaway. West Virginia USA.

  • Bubeto_GG says:

Lovely Summer list of fragrances. The best ones are:
    -Rogue Perfumery Mousse Vetifleur
I love Derviche II , the macerated fruits and the Cherry Liqueur , according to the tracking number i should get my 50ml tomorrow. Vetifleur is a bit too mature for me , but my Dad and Grandpa would like it.
    -Parfums de Marly Sedley
Love both of my Delina bottles regular one, and the Exclusif , Sedley sounds great
-Navitus Parfums Aweigh , because the coconut, lavender and incense
    -Bvlgari Tygar
    Smells fantastic
    -Roja Parfums Oceania I sampled.
Smells like Rosemary Gin Fizz Cocktail
-Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli smells like homemade mint lemonade
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Navus , my husband is into Absolutio , and Vivamor . One of our family brands . I’m going with Aweigh today
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • lavienrose13 says:

An exceptional Citrus ? an Orange from the pulp to the leaves ? Dont say more, I am already addict !
If I am lucky, I would like to choose Cap Neroli, from Nicolai, which I have started to explore recently, starting with Eau de Yuzu, New York intense, and eau Mixte. Another facinating one is Eau de Cédrat. Thanks for this great opportunity, from France

  • It was nice to learn from Michelyn’s introduction of Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste that the nonprofit Parfums de Vie gets money from their sales to help children and young people in Grasse. I have not tried any of these brands except Ineke’s After My Own Heart, which Michelyn says is a perfume signifying hope. Steven’s video reviews are always clear and honest. I am a Redolessence subscriber. If I were the lucky winner, based on Michelyn’s and Steven’s reviews, I would first choose Navitus Aweigh and second choice would be Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste. Thanks for the reviews and draws. Redolessence subscriber from USA.

  • RiccardoC says:

Thank you for another amazing article, I follow you on Instagram @cafleurebonoffical with the nickname Riccal65. Also big fan of Steven’s youtube channel.
I love from Michelyn review how thorugh the description is, as always. I love cap neroli and, being a big fan of Manuel Cross, Vetifleur…also Torino21 is a must try for me, as I am italian and worked in Turin.
From Steven video I liked the usual enthusiasm and the description of Roja Dove (really high end perfume) and Navitus Aweigh…i love Jorge Lee work!

I would like to enter for Vetifleur by Rogue, Etoile Celeste by Villa des Parfums and Cap Neroli by Parfums de Nicolai
    Riccardo, Italy – EU

  • Stevens’s and Michelyn’s reviews are both great. Based at n what Michelyn explained about Cap Neroli, this one from Nicolai Parfumeur Createur would be my choice.
Thanks for the opportunity. I am in the US.

  • I love the summery variety here, and both Michelyn and Steven describe them so evocatively! The only one on this list that I have ever smelled is Vetifleur. If I should win, I’d want to try out Ineke After My Own Heart; lilac season is just drawing to a close where I live, and that flower one of my favorite smells in the world. Plus I certainly need a hopeful fragrance in my life! I’m in New York; I follow you on instagram at @ohnogoaway.

  • What a great selection! Michelyn and Steve gave a comprehensive and thorough review of the notes they look for in a summer fragrance; fresh, minty, citrus, etc. I would live to win any of the following: Vetifleur, Etoile Celeste, Cap Neroli, or After My Own Heart. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Summer is my least favorite season, but there are some great summer fragrances. I thought Michelyn’s reviews of Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste, Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur, Parfums de Marly Sedley, Xerjoff Torino21, Nicolai Cap Neroli, and Ineke After My Own Heart were all great. I was particularly drawn to her reviews of Nicolai Cap Neroli and Ineke After My Own Heart. I love Nicolai Neroli Intense, so I imagine I would enjoy Cap Neroli as well. Like Michelyn, After My Own Heart also brings back precious memories for me. Lilac is my favorite flower and I love to try every fragrance that features the note. I agree with Michelyn that After My Own Heart is hopeful and it is truly one of the best lilac fragrances. I appreciated Steven’s reviews, as well. I love how he describes Navitus Aweigh as having a meditative base. Describing a fragrance as having a meditative quality really appeals to me. Thank you to Michelyn and Steven for the great reviews! Thank you to all of the sponsors for the giveaways. I would love the opportunity to win a bottle of Ineke After My Own Heart. I am located in the USA. I follow CaFleureBon on Instagram and my IG name is sleeprokop.

  • I like neroli so Cap Neroli from Parfums Nicolai is the obvious choice for me. Thanks!

Would love to try the Roja Dove Oceania .. my instagram handle is erichwangdds .. thanks !

  • I am all about uplifting and refreshing summer companions, so I enthusiastically listen to and read reviews of Steven’s and Michelyn’s recommendations for the upcoming hottest months of the year. In Slovenia, where I live, temperatures are already high in this early summertime. I have already packed all winter and autumn fragrances and jumped on the bandwagon of fresh uplifting citruses and romantic light flowers. However, some new sparkling suggestions are more than welcome, since I am always on the hunt for new acquisitions.

From the Michelyn’s and Steven’s lists, these are my favorites:

Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste (Heavenly Star). Michelyn’s concise and to-the-point review evoked vivid memories of the smell of summer rain showers. How I love (and miss) that smell! Another perk is note composition, which seems to be just up my alley. Philanthropy is another huge added bonus for the house. Steve’s description of the fragrance as a powdery floral fragrance has also appealed to me since I adore powdery leaning floral fragrances. It seems to be one of my next additions to my fragrance wardrobe.

Cap Neroli of Nicolai Parfumeur Createur. I was mesmerized by a short Michelyn’s review of the fragrance – the universum of orange in the bottle. I loved to learn from Steven’s review that petitgrain is a poor man’s neroli. 😉 Citrus fragrance that is long-lasting is always a great summer delight.

Based on Michely’s mention of duality and »fragrance with character«, Parfums de Marly Sedley has become the place on my list of perfumes to try.

Vetifleur from Mr. Cross has been on my list to try and I am determined to smell all his gems in 2022. I adore elegant, classic fragrances with a contemporary twist. Vetifleur seems to be an excellent cocktail of timelessness and elegance.

Mint is one of my favorite summer notes, so Navitus Aweigh sounds like a delightfully refreshing summer potion to elegantly cool oneself down. The fact that Steven is the creative director of the fragrance has made it even more appealing.
If lucky, I would be more than thrilled to win Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste, Cap Neroli of Nicolai Parfumeur Createur or Vetifleur from Mr. Cross.

I follow Steven on Youtube (@Niinocka1) and Cafleurbon on Instagram with my handle @niinocka1

  • We all love summer… if we are in the beach… otherwise, living in a hot city is kinda dreadful but we can spritz one of the perfumes of the Michelyn and Steve list and dream about the ocean with the help of citrus, mint, mediterranean herbs, florals, … I didn´t know Steven is the creative director of Navitus and Aweigh sounds great!. Cap Neroli recommended but both is a must: flavorful citrusy and a verdant base and longevity (missed in most citrus). Patricia de Nicolai is a genius giving masterpieces quietly as Manuel Cross whose Vetifleur mix vetiver with flowers in 70´s style. Amazing brand and amazing scent! My choices would be: 1) Cap Neroli; 2)Vetifleur 3)Etoile Céleste . I live in Spain, EU and also follow the instagram page @cafleurebonofficial

  • Thanks for these wonderful reviews Michelyn and Steven!

My favourite season is upon us and I can’t wait to endulge in the floral and fruity fresh fragrances from my small but beloved collection.

Steven’s presentation is always perfect. His incredible ability to describe a fragrance in an ever enthusiastic way always gets me interested and excited to sample his recommendations.

I have not tried Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste yet, but Michelyn’s description sounds amazing. A combination that creates an impression of summer rain falling, cooling you down after an especially hot day sounds exactly like the type of fragrance I would love to bathe myself in! I will have to give this a try!

If I were lucky enough to win, I would choose Cap Neroli!

  • It was very pleasing to see Tygar make it to the top of your list Steve. I fell for and wore this beauty and got a compliment from a fragrance salesperson which was quite something 🙂 I follow @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram with username @sngashig. I would be super stoked to try out Vetifleur from Rogue Perfumery and I’m in USA.

  • Is there a better fragrance reviewing duo than Steven and Michelyn? Doubtful. Steven is easily the most consistent and relaxing YT fragrance reviewer out there and Michelyn (as well as the rest of the ÇaFleureBon team) have such a way with words that their reviews are hypnotic. Summer is certainly one my favorite times to wear fragrances and these mentioned all sound fantastic. I’ve only tried Sedley and Tygar but would absolutely love to experience Rogue Perfumery’s Vetifleur or Navitus’ Aweigh. Both sound incredible in their own respective ways and I love the presentations (not to mention the reputations). Big thanks, as always, for the opportunity and cheers from Illinois, USA!

  • I love citrus floral and big fan of moresque and Navitus. I have been really curious about vetifleur and cap Neroli because I love all Neroli fragrances.
Steven did an amazing video and Michelyn writes so beautifully that I felt like I can smell the perfume

  • Aquafortis says:

A nice overview by Steven and Michelyn. I’ve been a fan of Manuel Cross/Rogue Perfumery for many years and Vetifleur sounds fantastic. I live in the US.

  • WaltherP99 says:

Interesting list of fragrances, some I was not expecting to see here. As usual I’ll share my thoughts on the fragrances I know, or want to try starting with the way Steven showed them in the video
    10. Navitus Aweigh
Nice tropical fragrance, with coconut, lime and woody and slightly sweet base.
    9. Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli
    Everybody loves a good citrus-aromatic fragrance .
    7.Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur
Manuel Cross is special . 80s in a bottle is how I’d describe Vetifleur
    6.Xerjoff Torino21
To me it smells like a love child of Nio , and Renaissance
    5.Fiore di Portofino by Moresque
I got my eyes on Moresque for a long time
    4.Parfums de Marly Sedley
I do agree with “fragrance with a character” , but in Sedley I get way more mint , lavender and patchouli, than incense
    3.Roja Parfums Oceania
Smells really good, but if I had to buy one Roja Dove for the Summer, I’d rather have Burlington 1819 , or Elysium Pour Homme Parfum Cologne
    2.After My Own Heart: Ineke
Sounds good, unfortunately all Ineke fragrance I’ve tried, do not last on my skin at all. I own Evening Edged In Gold, and I have to bath in it , to get 2 hours top.
    1.Bvlgari Tygar
Rather simplistic, but very pleasing fresh fragrance, with outstanding for the genre performance.
    My 3 choices are :
    1.Navitus Aweigh
    2.Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli
    3.Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur
    If I win , I’d prefer Aweigh
I’ll make sure to follow Villa de Parfums, all other profiles I already follow , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • Christos GX says:

Both reviews have great deatis about the fragrances, without sayiing all that much. I would want to try Cap Neroli , even though all the other fragrances seem amazing. I live in Greece, EU.

  • hspoffordiii says:

Ineke After My Own Heart sounds phenomenal–I’d love to try it! From the US.

  • Vetifleur sounds great! An ode to classics perfumes in the chypre genre. No school like the old school! I am in Europe. Thanks.

  • Enjoyed the vid by Steven. I’d probably go with Aweigh, Vetifleur or Cap Neroli. These will be nice for the warm days. Thanks for the draw

  • Bryant Worley says:

Firstly, I follow you on IG, my handle: @Brygantor_1.

Further, I really enjoyed Steven’s enthusiastic reviews of each fragrance. He always does a great job. But Michelyn, she really ‘put her foot in it’, with specific descriptive nuances that pointed out certain aspects of the fragrances. For example, since she said that Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste is a “Summer wish come true”, and that its combination of ‘sweet, cool violet, bergamot and wet jasmine.creates an impression of summer rain falling’, this would be my choice to win, especially since I like rain very much..

But, if that’s not possible, I would like one of the others, in this order:

    2) Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur
    3) Nicolai Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli
    4) Navitus Aweigh
    5) After My Own Heart: Ineke Ruhland‘s “letter A”

I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA.

  • I’m rubbing my hands in excitement! I was sent a sample of Tygar and I enjoyed a couple times at work! That would be my 1st choice because I already know I like it! I’ve been looking at Xerjoff and see a lot of recommendations for Parfums de Marly! I’ll go #1 Bvlgari, #2 Xerjoff! & #3 Parfums de Marly! Now I’ll check for that shooting star in the sky! thanks for the opportunity!

  • Charles Reaves says:

Sedley and Oceania are both on my shopping list. I have PDM and Roja Discovery Sets.

  • Mohammed Abd El Sattar says:

Nice work indeed and wish you each the 1 million subscribers just in a flash. Well, I really want to try the Roja Oceania in shaa‘ Allah.

  • What a wonderful selection of summer scents! I am most drawn to Cap Neroli based on your description, Michelyn. I loved the quote “which feels like a light ocean breeze as our sun warmed bodies are showered with petals of Mediterranean blooms”.

And both Steven’s review and your review of PdM Sedley as a scent that transitions well from day into night, has put this on my wishlist.

I would choose either Cap Neroli or Pdm Sedley as my selections.

    I live in the US.

  • ☆Parfums de Marly Sedley
“is a blend of incense and citrus. This duality creates a long-lasting summer fragrance with character”
Way to go , Sedley is so bright and zesty.
    ☆Navitus Aweigh
The only Navitus Parfums I have is Vivamor. Smells a bit like Pineapple Upside Down Cake with saffron. Aweigh sounds nice, coconut, zesty citruses, and incense
    ☆Xerjoff Torino21
    The ATP fragrance
    ☆Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli
I’ve sampled 3 Nikolai Parfemeur Createur fragrances , Vanille Tonka , Neroli Intense and Angelys Pear , and I wonder if Cap Neroli and Neroli Intense are similar, flankers maybe? Or very different fragrances?!?
Navitus Aweigh would be my pick if I win.
Appreciate Michelyn introduction, Steven mini reviews, and the giveaway campaign

Hi I never won anything from YouTube or receive anything from a fragrance reviewer, I am a fragrance collector some of these fragrances are a little bit too high for my budget, it will make my day if I would win

  • HiMyNameIsWaste says:

The reviews were all great. I’d love to win Navitus Aweigh. I live in Nashville, TN, USA.

  • Great selections by Steven and Michelyn. I really like florals in the summer so my choices are for Etoile Celeste Vetifleur and Cap Neroli. I live in the EU

  • Trinity33 says:

Steven always does a great job of describing how the fragrance unfolds on the skin. Michelyn reminds us that lighter, brighter fragrances are right for summer. If my name is chosen, I would love to be considered for any of the following: Vetifleur, Navitus Aweigh, After My Own Heart. Etoile Celeste, Cap Neroli, I’m in the USA

  • Michelyn’s choice of Etoile Celeste as a summer wish come true sounds amazing with the rainy jasmine! Steven’s Vetifleur also sounds great with the vetiver and jasmine old school mix! If I win, I would choose Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste! If that is not available, I still would love to try Rogue Vetifleur, Nicolai Cap Neroli, Navitus Aweigh, and Ineke After My Own Heart. I live in CA, USA. I have followed Instagram @cafleurebonoffical.

  • Thank you for the great list! I always enjoy these blurbs—they remind me of things I’d like to try and give me inspiration for what to wear next. Your comments on Parfums de Marly Sedley remind me to Voile D’encens, which combines incense with rhubarb and pear. I’m also feeling like bright, citrusy fragrances this season, but I like an element of complexity to keep them from being too sweet, and I love a good incense note used in this way.

Thank you for the giveaway! I’m in the USA, and would love to win any of these five, but I’m particularly interested in Aweigh.

    I’m @mmerline on Instagram and following @cafleurebonoffical.

Thanks for the review video Steven. Always great to hear your thoughts on the essence of these fragrances.

  • foreverscents says:

I wholeheartedly recommend Vetifleur, just as Michelyn and Steven did. It really sparkles in the most elegant way. It has a wonderful dry down that lasts a long time.
I love summer fragrances and Michelyn and Steven chose some very beautiful fragrances. I like experimenting to see which citrus notes and which florals keep me feeling cool and elegant on sweltering days.

    I would choose: Etoile Celeste
    Navitus Aweigh
    Cap Neroli
    After My Own Heart
I live in the USA. I just subscribed to the Instagram page (@doveskylark) and also Steven’s Youtube channel.

  • I like how Cap Neroli is described as being the whole orange, sounds so refreshing for summer! If I were to win, I would love to try that one. USA

  • As usual I enjoyed Steven’s video review, and Michelyn’s descriptions. Quick, insightful and educational.
Appreciate the giveaway so so much and I have never smelled any of these scents! Would love to win Ineke After My Own Heart – sounds super!
    Thank you, from Canada!

  • As always Steven’s review are thorough and I appreciate Michelyn’s introduction. I like Steven highlighting different types of summer offerings rather than just “ blue” and “citrus” fragrances.
If I am picked as a winner, I will like After my own heart – Ineke.

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven and Michelyn’s reviews of their top 10 best summer fragrances. First was Ineke After My Own Heart using bergamot, raspberry, and a prominent lilac note. Next is Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste utilizing the wet jasmine and powdery violet making a unique blend. If I win I would like Navitus Aweigh, Cap Neroli, Ineke After My Own Heart, Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur, and Etoile Céleste. I am following the new Instagram page @cafleurebonoffical and my Insta name is @michaelprincefragrance I am from the USA.

I’m not sure what summer fragrances to try this year but this list is giving me great food for thought.

  • petergigov says:

Such a nice Summer list ,In no particular order I like:
*Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur-raw and uncultivated vetiver
*Parfums de Marly Sedley-Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly,Sedley I don’t know, but i have to try it, if Michelyn thinks it’s a fragrance with character.
*Navitus Aweigh I’ve smelled ,fresh coconut , lime, lavender and incense
    *Bvlgari Tygar-compliment magnet
*Xerjoff Torino21 smells good,it different, it stays very close to the skin
*Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli-classy fragrance.
Navitus Aweigh,Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Cap Neroli are the 3 I’m listing. I do slightly prefer Navitus Aweigh

It looks like Stephen and Michelyn have some good fragrance choices for this review. Out of these fragrances, I’ve only tried “Vetifleur”, so I appreciate the insight which both Michelyn and Stephen gave for each these fragrances. I live in the U.S.A. so I’m eligible for any of them. I’d like to win any of these fragrances, and in this order: “Aweigh”, “Cap Neroli”, “After My Own Heart”, “Etoile Celeste”, “Vetifleur”. I follow Cafleurebon on Instagram (@regismonkton).

  • P. Vaccaro says:

Still looking for my new summer scent… Xerjoff Torino 21, Moresque Fiore di Portofino, and Roja Parfums Oceania are intriguing possibilities. Thank you!

  • Gorgeous review Steven and Michelyn! I love complex and rich perfumes but I’m dying to try Manuel Cross fragrances. Vetifleur sounds amazing and perfect for the beautiful summer days!! The second choice would be Etoile Céleste perfect for sunset and outdoor picnics!!! greetings from Sarajevo.

  • I really like such collaboration reviews, and draws . Out of the fragrances picked by Michelyn and Steven, the most appealing are:
Parfums de Marly Sedley I smelled briefly, I will revisit the fragrance
Navitus Aweigh citrus and incense done in unconventional way
Bvlgari Tygar one of the strongest fresh fragrances I’ve ever tried
Xerjoff Torino21 , I like how is not just a great composition , but it’s collaboration with ATP , the tennis association
Nicolai Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli welcoming and comfy fragrance , showing us the Mediterranean blooms
After some hesitation between Navitus Aweigh , and Nicolai Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli , at the end Aweigh would be my choice.
The reason is ,in our family, mostly shared fragrance collection, there’s already 3 Navitus fragrances Aubade (the new name is Lyrik) , The Embrace and Navus, and I want to add another one.
    Thanks for the collaboration draw

I love Michelyn’s description of Etoile Céleste – summer rain falling, cooling the wearer down after a hot summer day. Steven is brilliant at his to-the-point and concise presentations of his picks. I got especially hooked at the herbaceous Torino 21, would love a chance to smell it some day! My picks would be Vetifleur and Cap Neroli. I am based in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, EU.

  • What a great list of choices by the unique Steven, aka Redolessence. The one I find the most unique is Vetifleur, since I love flower based fragrances, but everyone seems perfect for the summer.
    USA here
    Would love to win Vetifleur

  • sephrenia300 says:

Fantastic reviews from both reviewers! What I thought of Steven’s reviews was that his description of Rogue Perfumery’s Vetifleur was so incredibly spot on – that the vetiver in it is incredibly natural, the jasmine is lush and beautiful, and that the entire fragrance hearkens back to the powerhouse stunners of the 70s and 0s with remarkable longevity and tenacity. Those are definitely my favorite parts of Vetifleur and highlights everything that makes that fragrance special to me.

What I thought of Michelyn’s reviews was that i really loved how she described Etoile Céleste as creating the impression of summer rain falling, cooling you down after an especially hot day. What a beautiful image and something I definitely find myself looking for this summer! it is also very nice to hear that Villa des Parfums fragrances goes to support the work of the nonprofit Parfums de Vie!

I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical and my Insta name is momo.liu.121. I live in the US. if I were to win I would choose the following fragrance in this order:

    1) Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur
    2) Villa des Parfums Etoile Celesté
    3) Nicolaï Parfumeur-Createur Cap Neroli
    4) Navitus Aweigh
    5) Ineke After My own Heart

  • Jacob Castellon says:

Should i win, Parfums de Marly Sedley sounds more catered to myself as i have always but never tried a incense base cologne.

Stevens reviews are very educational from the description of the fragrance, to the quick in depth style of show and tell. This review was catered wonderfully towards to season as many consumers look for.
