Best Fragrances for Father's Day 2022

June is a great month to celebrate the men you love with a gift of scent. Chances are your dad has been wearing the same cologne for years and may have spent the past two years in sweatpants and a suit jacket on zoom calls. We chose 10 Fragrances for Father’s Day 2022 that are classy, contemporary, refined and sophisticated.

Masque Fragranze Naviglio (Michelle Moellhausen): As brand founder Alessandro Brun told us, every Italian fragrance line starts with at least one great cologne! NAVIGLIO suggests the working-class washing their clothes in the canal.  With notes of lavender, bergamot and vetiver, this wears more fresh citrus then soapy. The soapy quality of the fragrance is completely novel, and the citrus top is comprised of neroli and bergamot from Calabria. Lavender also contributes to the soap accord, and a base of cedar and white musk adds depth. –Michelyn

Parfums de Marly Percival (Hamid Merati-Kashani): A modern Fougère inspired fragrance that opens bright and citrusy with zesty orange and bergamot.  Now if you are a dad, or on the younger side, Percival is a great compliment getter— could it be the hedione©? –Steven and Michelyn

Jacques Fath Le Loden (Luca Maffei): One of the best vetivers I have smelt. Perfumer Luca Maffei layers three: Haitian, bourbon and Javanese – adding one at each stage of the composition to repeat their essential aromas while becoming more complex over time. Deep, rich and yes sexy too. If you are the dad gift yourself with this for Father’s Day 2022-Michelyn

Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia (Yuri Gutsatz): Created by Yuri Gutsatz in 1966 and paying homage to the scents of the 1920s, Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia is a timeless woody vetiver fragrance. Classic in feel and brought to life for a modern market that has fully embraced it, imagine smoked vetiver layered around tobacco and majestic woods. –Samantha Scriven, former CaFleureBon Sr Contributor

Naughton & Wilson’s Gravitas Pour Homme (John Stephen) is a powdery lavender fragrance that evokes the timelessness of the fougere fragrances from the 70’s and 80’s. This powerful fragrance also includes a hearty dose of cardamom and patchouli for a green aroma that is fit for a perfect gentleman! Accents of coriander and pepper add the spicy edge for the perfect level of pizzazz-Steven

Roja Parfums Scandal Parfum Cologne (Roja Dove): is a citrusy, green Fougere which is more effervescent  than the Parfum version with enhanced notes of lemon, oakmoss and lavender.  Very versatile-Steven

Now, if Dad is a little more modern, but yet- nostalgic. what better fragrance is there than Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee (Manuel Crosss) which is perfect for Father’s Day 2022 especially if your dad loves the vintage green  and oakmoss powerhouses of the 70s and 80sMichelyn

INeKE Derring-Do (Ineke Ruhland) is a standout Fougère fragrance for Father’s Day 2022. Translucent citruses blend with silky cyclamen (Persian violet) and a sea spray-like note that makes it shimmers and glisten. As this continues, it blends the warmth and spiciness of cardamom and pepper with the tender green of fern and creamy magnolia petals. It is spicy, yet floral fresh AND clean! -Michelyn

Floris Jermyn Street (Edward Bodenham): Floris Jermyn Street is a dedication to the flagship boutique of the brand. Vetiver and artemisia decorate this blend for a grassy and aromatic sensation. Woods, musk, and amber in the base create the longevity while the classy violet and juniper combination in the heart keeps the sophistication alive well into the dry down.-Steven

Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense (Patricia de Nicolai): Patricia de Nicolaï is one of the first lady bosses of niche perfumery. New York Intense is the epitome of effortless elegance. It is unique and chic like the city it’s named for. The classification is hard to pin down… is it a fougère, chypre, woody, amber or an aromatic? It doesn’t matter because it is what you would want your dad to smell like (and that dad might be you) and is one of my all-time favorites, -Michelyn.

  • Both Michelyn and Steven says that Naviglio is on the fresh, citrusy side. I had read it before and Steven also confirms that Scandal Pour Homme will appeal to those who enjoy Eau Sauvgae. My choices are Naviglio or New York Intense. I am in US.

  • I enjoyed both of their selections. I’m living in Elgin, South Carolina and would love Gravitas Pour Homme, Rouge Mousse Illumine, New York Intense, Derring Do, Le Loden, and Naviglio

  • Thanks for the reviews Michelyn and Steven!

I hope to become a dad soon and think I would fit the description of a modern yet nostalgic dad! I love strong Fougeres and ‘Barbershop’ fragrances that are hint back at the awesome 80’s. They bring me back to peaceful and carefree time of my life.

Michelyn’s choices are excellent. Le Loden is an absolute Powerhouse and I’m not surprised to see her choose this amazing Vetiver fragrance. We share a love for Latern Reed and I 100% agree with her choice of Le Loden!

Steven’s video is great as always. I will have to sample many of his recommendations here, but one that I completely agree with is Gravitas from the great team of Naughton & Wilson. It’s an incredible classy and sophiticated throw back to classic scents like Creed’s Bois de Portugal. For the real gentlemen!

If I were lucky enough to win one of these amazing fragrances, I would choose Mousse Illuminee by Manuel Cross!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • I appreciate Steven/ Michelyn highlighting these fragrances for Father’s Day. I enjoyed the variety of the types of fragrances. If I win, I would love all six perfumes since I live in the US but if I had to pick only one I would go with New York Intense by Nicolai Parfumeurs.
    Maryland, US.

I follow the CaFleureBonOfficial instagram account and my instagram handle is @ronaldjapenga.

  • Hello and Thank you for another giveaway!
I think my husband would love Ineke Derring Do or Milano fragranze bottle of Naviglio or Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia.
Thank you and thanks to Steven

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

Hello Steven and Cafleurebon and also Michelyn. Those are some Outstanding Fragrances. They all sound amazing ! I love to win New York Intense. Thank you for your Generosity and Stay safe.

  • Russ Stanziale says:

I loved the Father’s Day video. I was inspired to put several of Steven and Michelin’s recommendations on my wish list, but my interest in Mousse Illumine was already in place, and was amplified by Steven’s review. It would be my choice for the giveaway. I will follow you on IG. My Instagram name is BigDaddyWhiskey.

  • I’m more in line with Miehelyn’s choices esp because of New York Intense and Derring-Do on her list. And if chosen I’d like the Derring-Do. US

  • LeeHino21 says:

I think both Michelyn and Steven have made fantastic choices here for father’s day! My father really enjoys the fragrances of the 70 and 80s so Michelyn’s description of Rogue’s Mousse Illumine is one I am going to have to try out for him! Also Percival is always a stunner and one I recommend as well! I would like to be entered in to the giveaway for New York Intense, Derring Do, Mousse Illumine, and Naviglio. I am in the USA and a follower on Instagram @ownlee_thebest .

  • What an amazing list of fragrance made by master Mychelin and Steven aka Redolessence. My father is the one who got me into fragrance since he always loved fragrances.
Derring do since it is very fresh and modern I think it could fit him perfectly.
I would love to win either Mousse Illumine or Derring Do
    USA here.
Many times I give my father fragrances since he loves them.

  • Bruno Paolucci says:

Love these scents especially Noviglio! Washing clothes in a canal in Milano. Sign me up!

  • Johnmc500 says:

I am a dog dad. My dogs love it when I put on a vetiver fragrance.
They come up and rub on me like they do in the backyard after I cut the grass.
Jacques Fath Le Loden would he my choice.
    Oklahoma USA

  • Scott Teague says:

Great review on the fragrances you talked about. Excited to try some of these. Thanks

  • Andrei Artimon says:

What an amazing list of fragrance made by master Mychelin and Steven aka Redolessence. My father is the one who got me into fragrance since he always loved fragrances.
Derring do since it is very fresh and modern I think it could fit him perfectly.
I would love to win either Derring Do
    USA, New York.
Many times I give my father fragrances since he loves them.

  • Love Steven’s videos and am also very interested in the Ineke fragrance Derring Do but if I had to pick one to own I would have to go with Naviglio. Both Michelyn and Steven make it sound so pretty clean and fresh. I live the note of lavender in my freshies. But I think Ineke’s Derring Do sounds more experimental at least from the listed notes. I would love to win either. Not really sure how it works if we pick one or our favorites. If only one, I would pick Naviglio by Milano Fragranze. I am in the US.

  • Great selections. I trust Michelyn and Steven’s noses and when they both say New York intense is a favorite I take note!! I also love that Steven says it smells”natural.” I live in NYC and am curious what boutique in SoHo Steven smelled this in a decade ago. My father doesn’t wear fragrance but when me and my brother were young we used to make potions with the gifted bottles of Brut and Old spice (along with pepto bismol and other things) in the bathroom cabinet that be never used. 🙂 My brother is now a wonderful father and I would love to gift him NEw York intense for Father’s Day! My IG name is flavasauce and I live in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Phenomenal video and intro.
Great cologne choices for Father’s Day.
I loved the descriptions written and voice of Nicolai NY Intense Derring Do and le loden
Since I live in the USA I am eligible
I am thinking of buying my husband Rogue Mousse illuminee which is why I didn’t enter for that

  • Steve and Michelyn both do a great job of differentiating these great examples of my favorite genre.
    1 New York Intense
    2 Mousse Illumine
    3 Derring Do
    4 Bois Tabac Virginia
    5 Naviglio
    6 Le Loden
    @neefast on IG
    NV, USA

  • Parfums de Marly Percival, Jacques Fath Le Loden, Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia, Naughton & Wilson’s Gravitas Pour Homme, Roja Parfums Scandal Parfum Cologne, INeKE Derring-Do, and Floris Jermyn Street all sound like they would smell great. Based on Steven and Michelyn’s reviews though, I’m most interested to smell Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense now. Proud Dad of 2, greetings from Los Angeles, CA.

  • For Michelyn’s choices, Jacques Fath Le Loden is super interesting. My dad would love the vetiver note with a bourbon mix. Not sure how Javanese would work but this deep fragrance sounds very fitting. For Steven’s choices, Floris Jermyn Street with the clean vetiver (again), but with artemisia and juniper would smell super interesting and sophisticated! I normally don’t pick fragrances for my dad but he would be elated by any of these choices! I would love to enter and win any of all 6 fragrances, Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia, Milano Naviglio, Rogue Mousse Illumine, Fath’s Essentials Le Loden, InEKe Derring Do, and Nicolai New York Intense! I have followed the instagram. I am from CA, USA.

  • eaudepittsburgh says:

Choice 1: Nicolai Parfumeur New York Intense
    – I loved Steven’s description of this and the number one spot placement really got me intrigued – it also helps that it’s described as a powerful gentlemanly scent.
    – Michelyn’s review captured me with her description of the genre bending classic parfumerie featured in this scent. Sounds like a match made in heaven for me!

I live in Pittsburgh, PA USA and I have followed cafleurbon on IG, my tag is @theenzofdaworld

  • The fragrance selection by Michelyn and Steven are solid choices that resemble what a well groomed, clean, and sophisticated man ought to present. Enrolled in grad school in California, I started using more professional attire, but I need to step my game up as I refine my image as an adult. The fragrances Milano Fragranze Naviglio and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense will definitely help shape my image into a more classy and well groomed gentleman, as both Michelyn and Steven describe. Thank you both for the priceless knowledge you share with the community. Cheers!

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Naviglio is on the fresh, citrusy side, Mousse Illuminee Resinous, mossy, bitter-green, woody, spicy, pine, floral(I am in love for other Tuberose & Moss too), Fath’s Essentials Le Loden, all are
    perfect from summer .
I am from Europe Bucharest Romania

  • Eric Hare says:

Absolutely have to check these brands out. Would love to get my hands on a few of these.

  • Great choices by both Steven and Michelyn. If I am lucky to win I would love to win Jaques Fath le loden, Naviglio and Mousse illumine. My instagram Id is amnaaziz5296@gmail.com. Thanks a million from the UK

  • Beautiful choices by both Steven and Michelyn. Really intrigued by Naviglio, Mousse illumine and Le loden if I am lucky to win. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • NituNicolae says:

What an amazing opportunity. If I would win any of these, I would certainly give it as a gift to my dear father. Would I be so lucky, I would choose Mousse Illumine by Rogue Perfumery, because that is just the type of scent my father like to wear(although 70s fragrances usually remain mere shadows of their own past do to reformulation). Excited for this giveaway. From Romania, EU.

  • RiccardoC says:

Thank you for another amazing article, I follow you on Instagram @cafleurebonoffical with the nickname Riccal65. Also big fan of Steven’s youtube channel.
First, as I’ve already said plenty of times I am a big Fouger lover. So this is a great list for me.
Bot Michelyn and Steven’s choice are interesting. From Michelyn’s I loved the way she referred to the italian traditions talking about Naviglio and how she highlighted a creation from Luca Maffei I didn’t know (Le Loden). I already knew Mousse Illuminee and NY intense and both are to die for. The Mousse Illuminee would be great for my dad.
From Steven, I loved how he described Scandal, as I pick the same vibes of Eau Sauvage as well. Really hope to try in the future the one from Gravitas as it sound really interesting. Also Percival is in my wish list, being a modern fougere.
I would like to apply for the giveaway of:
Bois Tabac Virginia from Le jardin retrovie
    Naviglio from Milano Fragranze
    Mousse Illuminee from Rogue Perfumery
    Le Loden from Fath’s Essentials
New York Intense from Parfums de Nicolai

    Riccardo, Italy – EU

  • While I appreciate both Michelyn and Stevens choices, I have to give the “win” to Steven. Why you might ask yourself, well…I absolutely love Roja Perfums Scandal and I too find that Gravitas pour Homme is timeless and brilliant. The other reason is that I actually don’t know (yet) all the fragrances Michelyn highlighted. All the more reason I woud say to enter in this give-away. I would like to be entered in to the giveaway for Bois Tabac Virginia, New York Intense, Derring Do, Mousse Illumine, and Naviglio. Of these, the one that sounds, at least to me, the most interesting going by the desciption is Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia.

I live in the EU (portugal) and a follower on Instagram @kraemdon

  • Khalil Nasir says:

    Hello Steven,

I loved the list and it made me feel like a gentleman because I had several of the fragrances that was listed. I would love to win New York Intense.

  • I loved Steven’s explanation that the fragrance Naviglio is named for the Naviglio Grande canal in Milan, which my husband and I just visited in May! Michelyn’s description of it also makes it sound very appealing and something my husband would like, both as a scent and as a souvenir. He’s a great dad, btw. I would be delighted to win any of these:
    Naviglio
    New York Intense
    Derring Do

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

Thank you for sharing these recommendations…if I had a pick I would love to win New York Intense

  • megabass99 says:

I think these editors choices are great because dads from different generations can wear these with ease in any social situation without being too daring .. my favorite choice is Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia .. followed Instagram and checking in from Chandler ,Arizona

  • Interesting choices. I know the Navigli area of Milan, it’s not the classiest area (it has more of a relaxed young-persons-and-artists vibe) and the fragrance is basically just Marseille soap. I’m looking forward to smelling their new one, Piazza Affari.

Percival for me would be a safe choice for someone who’s not into fragrances, but at least it’s well done for the price. For me, it lacks a bit of character.

I don’t know Le Loden but I appreciate vetiver can be a strongly multifaceted note. I don’t know Bois Tabac Virginia either, I’d be curious about whether it was similar to e.g. Havana by Aramis or if it’s more like Tabac Original.

I own Gravitas, and I’m glad I got it before shipping from the UK to the EU became impractical. It has a wonderful warm drydown which is sadly missing from a lot of current men’s releases; I’ve tried the Parfum Cologne version of Scandal, from an official sample, and I did eventually understand the comparison with Eau Sauvage, but on my skin it develops into one annoying persistent note rather than remaining a subtle balanced presence. On the other hand, when I sampled Jermyn Street, it seemed like all the notes evaporated in seconds leaving me with something vaguely ambergris and nothing else.

I haven’t tried that one from Rogue Perfumery, too much oakmoss isn’t necessarily a good thing, there’s a reason its use is restricted; I have Curzon by Geo .F. Trumper but I can’t always wear it. But more modern oakmoss bases are certainly interesting.

    I haven’t tried Derring-Do either but I see that’s North America only.

If I win I’d be most interested to finally try New York Intense, I’ve been searching for a stockist for years. It would be for me since my dad died 18 months ago; I’ll be wearing Platinum Egoiste which he once have me as a Christmas present, and I got myself a new bottle at the airport after seeing him for the last time.

Le Loden would be my second choice, then Mousse Illuminee, the Bois Tabac, then Naviglio.

I’m in the EU, my Insta name is dannychrastina, on youtube I’m “Danny C”

  • Thanks for the tips/reviews Michelyn and Steven! Father´s day in Spain was in march, so I will keep this list for next year or as a Christmas present as my dad loves colognes and fougeres that are the most in the list.
Michelyn’s choices are great. I haven´t tried Le Loden, but as a vetiver fan, it would make a great present because I fall in love with Green Water and I could not agree more on New York Intense: loved it from the first sniff: elegancy ageless!.
Steven’s video is as good as always! he goes for Le Loden and NY Intense (Steven´s nº 1 ) too, and he introduces a new one to me: Floris Jermyn Street, a clean vetiver and citrus fresh.
If I had to pick I would go with:
1 Mousse Illumine by Manuel Cross
    2 Fath’s Essentials Le Loden
    3 New York Intense
I am in Spain, EU and I am also instagram follower under the same name as the blog and Youtube

  • I agree with both Both Michelyn and Steven. I have smelt some of them but I am totally unfamiliar with some others. Moussee Illuminee is stunning and so is New York Intense. I would prefer to win Masque Fragranze Naviglio though in order to try it. I live in Thessaloniki Greece. Thanks!

  • Wow what great Father’s Day choices. Based on Michelyn and Steven I am really I interested in
    Fath Le Loden Vetiver !
Mousse illuminee because everyone is talking about it and I can’t find it in France

  • Regis Monkton says:

I own and enjoy “Mousse Illuminee” and a sample of “Naviglio”. I think that Steven and Michelyn have a lot of good fragrance picks for this review/drawing. “Mousse Illuminee” has become one of my favorite fragrances, and “Naviglio” is now one of my favorite fragrances from Milano Fragranze’s first eight releases. I’ve been planning to get a bottle of “Naviglio” eventually, but if I could win one, then that would be ideal. Lalique’s “Pour Homme EDP” is one of my favorite fragrances, so I’ve been wanting to try “New York Intense” for a while now.
I live in the U.S.A, so I’m eligible to win any of the fragrances in the draw. The order of what I’d like to win the most is: the first choice is “New York Intense”, second is “Naviglio”, third is “Mousse Illuminee”, and then INeKE “Derring-Do”, Jacques Fath “Le Loden”, and Le Jardin Retrouve “Bois Tabac Virginia”. I follow Cafleurebon on Instagram (@regismonkton).

  • Steven and Michelyn both came up with a nice, varied and well described selection for Father’s Day. Being a woman, I am not too savvy about male or even male leaning unisex releases and so this article and Steven’s video were very helpful.
What I would like to win for my dad are Naviglio, New York Intense or Bois Tabac Virginia. They all sound lovely, wearable and would make amazing gifts.
    I am in the EU.

  • ElenaChiss says:

New York Intense for me, thanks! I have a sample of it and is such a classy fragrance. Very old school, worthy of a true gentleman. It reminds me of a bygone era, the kind of perfume that is best worn by a senior man who knows his true value. My father would have loved this one! I am sure.

Thank you! I am in the EU

  • Love all 6 selections, specially Mousse Illumine and Bois Tabac Virginia. I’m not a dad yet, but hopefully next year.
    Kind regards from Mexico.

  • Fantastic list. Some I knew and some are completely new to me. I will comment on some standout choices.
Parfums de Nicolaï New York Intense is pretty much perfect. Nothing crazy happening here, just a high quality, perfectly balanced fougere.
Parfums de Marly Percival. A much more modern fougere than the one above. Gives a little extra jazz to a casual white t-shirt outfit.
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminée. I haven’t tried it but from my experience with the brand, there’s a 100% chance I will love it.
Roja Scandal Parfum Cologne. I think the Parfum Cologne line is great. I enjoyed these versions of Elysium, Enigma and Danger. I have a feeling Scandal will smell wonderful.
    Classy and interesting lists overall.

    I would love to win:
    – Parfums de Nicolaï New York Intense
    – Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminée
    – Milano Fragranze Naviglio
    – Jacques Fath Le Loden
    – Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia

  • GennyLeigh says:

Really diverse choices for Father’s Day fragrance selections. I appreciate Michelyn’s confirmation of Le Loden as the BEST VETIVER FRAGRANCE EVER. I love vetiver in all forms and that is definitely on my list. Steven’s description of Roja Dove’s Scandal as an effervescent fougere makes me think I could wear it easily. I would be delighted to win any of the following:, Rouge Mousse Illumine, Le Loden, New York Intense, Gravitas Pour Homme Derring Do or Naviglio.

I’m in MD, USA. IG is @blinkydog1999

  • Thank you so much Michelyn and Steven! Wonderful choices and reviews as usual 🙂 to me, all your choices are attractive and beautiful, I’m like confused about which one is the best 🙂

I’m already a dad, but a small one .. my kids are still young. I love fresh and deep fragrances, especially those with green and marine notes. If I were lucky enough to win one of these amazing fragrances, I would choose Mousse Illuminee by Manuel Cross as my first choice. Then, New York Intense, and Bois Tabac Virginia as my best last choices.
I’m your follower on Instagram: ealiyahia
    Greetings from the BiH!

  • Bryant Worley says:

Firstly, I follow you on IG: @Brygantor_1.

Next, these were fantastic choices, explained quite well by Michelyn and Steven. Steven is such a wordsmith when reviewing fragrances, whimsical and enthusiastic.

I would like to win all six in this order:

    1) Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense
    2) Jacques Fath Le Loden
    3) INeKE Derring-Do
    4) Masque Fragranze Naviglio
    5) Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginiia
    6) Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee

I’ve never gifted my däd with fragrance, but is a good idea. I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA.

  • The most appealing fragrances from the Father’s Day giveaway are
    *Parfums de Marly Percival
Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly , but Delina Exclusif is breathing in Oajan neck all the time. Both are staples for me , Percival I’ll have to try.
*Jacques Fath Le Loden , seems like it’s
Green Water I’m familiar with , it’s been my grandpa’s signature scent for …. as far as I can remember. The bottle was different before, with frosted glass, now it’s from the Essentials line , and he loves it too. It’s my grandpa’s fragrance, maybe that’s the reason, but to me it for mature gentleman only. You could say Jacques Fath is part of the family.
*Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense
Angelys Pear is my favorite Parfums de Nikolai, watery , slightly tart pear and fresh rose. Wedding fragrance , New York Intense feels like a fragrance both dad , and grandpa would love.
    *Masque Fragranze Naviglio
I’ve been to Milano dozens of times , novel soapy fragrance with neroli and bergamot from Calabria no one could go wrong with , Naviglio is the fragrance i’d like to win
Yes I do gift dad and grandpa with fragrances. 200ml bottle of Jacques Fath Green Water is what grandpa received last month, it even came with a bonus, extra travel size . I guess Jacques Fath are now giving extra travel sizes to all who ordered big , 200ml bottles.
    Thanks for the draw

  • jobescents says:

I would have to pick Mousse Illumine….I’ve heard too many good things about it to pass up the opportunity. I always enjoy Steven’s analysis, but even more so for this one. He is describing what he calls a group of classy fragrances, all the while, exuding nothing but class himself. He’s also spoken highly of Tabac Virginia…may have to sample that one.

Michelyn’s introduction (to me), of Patricia de Nicolaï being “one of the first lady bosses of perfumery” makes me want to delve into her creations more.

    I live in Pennsylvania…USA

  • As always, such a well curated and educational list! I have smelled a few on this list before- Michelyn, you got the essence of each fragrance in a few sentences- wow! And Steven, as always I was left with a much longer wish list by the end of your video. Thank you both for the reviews and very generous giveaways. My top two choices are Mousse Illumine and New York Intense. I am eligible for Bois Tabac Virginia, Naviglio, Mousse Illumine, Le Loden, and New York Intense.

“A modern Fougère inspired fragrance that opens bright and citrusy with zesty orange and bergamot. Now if you are a dad, or on the younger side”
Way to go , Percival is so bright and zesty.
Milano Fragranze sample set i decided to buy because of Nicoleta, and her take on Panettone, the fragrance i now own. Naviglio is more fresh than soapy, Michelyn thinks the same like me.
The bergamot in the fragrance is tart, and realistic. Hot weather fragrance, and my pick if I win.
My father likes fragrances, Mancera Soleil D’Italie, Guerlain Vetiver and Serge Lutens Chergui are i paid for.
Appreciate the double reviews, and the giveaway campaign

  • Michelyn and Steven marvelously captured the essence of each fragrance and gave us a plethora of choices for men in our lives. It’s true my dad has worn the same cologne /aftershave for years and does not care about perfumes at all. The article brought me to the idea to surprise him with a new cologne for his next birthday. In Slovenia, we, unfortunately, do not celebrate Father’s Day.

I was especially drawn to the following Michelyn and Steven’s recommendations: Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia, Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense, Jacques Fath Le Loden, and Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee. I would be more than grateful if I would be lucky and win any of them.

New York Intense seems to be an elegant and chic perfume, that I would most certainly sometimes steal from my dad. He was in the Big Apple more than 30 years ago and loved it so much that he still often reminisces about it. This perfume gem would be a great surprise for him. I especially liked Michelyn’s notion that it is hard to pin it down and Steven’s enthusiasm about it.

I feel that vetiver is a more masculine leaning note that especially suits mature men like my dad. Michelyn’s mention that Le Loden by Jacques Fath is one of the best vetivers has captured my attention. Three different vetivers that compose a complex perfume sound like a dream fragrance for my dad, which I might borrow. The green color of the fragrance also has a special appeal.

Michelyn’s description of Mousse Illuminee seems to perfectly describe my dad – modern, yet nostalgic. He loves the 70s and 80s. Mr. Cross is also an epitome of a gentleman, and all his fragrances are higly artistic endeavors. I really enjoyed last Steven’s interview with Mr. Cross.

According to Steven, Bois Tabac Virginia seems to be a classy and mature fragrance for a grown-up man. I can picture my father wearing it, since he was a smoker till a few years ago.

I follow Steven with my Youtube name: @Niinocka1 and @cafleurebonofficial with my Insta name @niinocka1

  • I’m always partial to Michelyn and Steven’s takes on fragrances as I feel they both have a fantastic talent at encapsulating the essence of the respective offerings. Steven is always such an easy watch and continues to set the standard for YouTube fragrance reviewers. Out of all of those mentioned the two that intrigue me the most (and therefore would want to try should I be chosen) are INeKE Derring Do and Mousse Illumine by Rogue Perfumery. Both sound incredible for any Father out there and would be a treat to experience myself as well as share with my father-in-law (a habitual Polo Green wearer). Thanks, as always, for the opportunity and cheers from Illinois, USA!

  • Great subject and review. thanks, Cafleurebon and Steven! Some of them were completely new to me.
If I had a chance I would go with Mousse Illumine. My second choice is Naviglio.

  • The timeless vetiver scent – this seems to be the theme here.

My dad is probably still wearing Brut! Haha! He would love a Nicolai Parfumeurs’ New York Intense, he would die for a Rogue Perfumery’s bottle of Mousse Illumine, and he would be ecstatic if I won a bottle of Naviglio. Needless to say he would be very thankful for a gift of Le Loden.

I live in Portugal. He lives in Romania.

Cheers to all dads, classic and classy, worldwide!

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

Thanks Steven, great selection of fragrances as always. My favorite here is Naviglo by Milano Fragranze . Greetings from Germany.

  • My choices are: 15ml of Bois Tabac Virginia, 50 ml bottle of Mousse Illumine, 50 ml of Fath’s Essentials Le Loden, 30 ml bottle of New York Intense. I think that both Steven’s and Michelyn’s choices were wonderful. I live in Poland. EU.

  • Mirea Luca says:

I love that within these lists I discovered so many interesting fragrances. The classy smell of old time is something beautiful. Mousse Illuminee was so well spoken of that i can not ignore it. Also loved the description of Naviglio, such an interesting part of history in which this fragrance draws it s soul. I have been subscribed to Steven for so long now, if he says that New York Intense is a mind bending beauty, i have to put that also on my list. So my choices are Mousse Illuminee, Naviglio and New york intense. I also follow your instagram page and my username is @lucamirea. Thank you so much for this giveaway! I live in Romania, EU.

    Masque Fragranze Naviglio
The universal message in Masque Fragranze
is quite clear , you should be enjoying life , drink ristretto , and don’t worry oneself while smelling great.
    Parfums de Marly Percival
Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly, it’s full , balsamic sweet , one of my favorites . Percival I don’t know, but i have to try it, if Michelyn thinks it’s a compliment getter
    Jacques Fath Le Loden
Green Water bottle, and 50ml Curacao Bay decant i have, Le Loden is too similar to a fragrance I already own.
Naughton & Wilson’s Gravitas Pour Homme
    I’ve heard of it
    Roja Parfums Scandal Parfum Cologne
I love the way it smells, but not the performance.
    Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee
    Raw and uncultivated
Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense
The brand I discovered late last year, New York Intense i had to buy, it’s timeless.
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee, Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense and Masque Milano Naviglio are the 3 I’m listing
. Since I have New York Intense, I’d slightly prefer Naviglio
My dad wears gifted by me YSL Kuros, Creed Tabarome and Green Irish Tweed.

I would love to win the Milano Frangranze Naviglio. All of the fragrances selected by Steven and Michelyn sound like they are right in my wheelhouse. I think they did an excellent job cutting this list.

  • Carter Hamm says:

The fragrance I am most interested in is the Naviglio, it sounds amazing, i love the story behind it. Steven and Michelyn did a fantastic job curating this list. I really enjoy reading Michelyn’s comments about the fragrances she selected and of course Steven is a consummate professional. Best there is. Appreciate the opportunity!

  • Michelyn and Steven say that Naviglio is on the fresh, citrusy side. Steven also said that Scandal Pour Homme will appeal to those who enjoy Eau Sauvgae. My choices are Naviglio or New York Intense. From USA. I am also a Redolessence subscriber.

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Michelyn’s Intro and Steven’s review of his Top 10 Father’s Day Fragrances for 2022. I’ve tried a few of these such as Parfums De Marly Percival or Roja Parfums Scandal, but there are others Steven alluded to such as Gravitas Pour Homme and New York Intense, and that fresh, soapy, and Neroli Milano Fragranze Naviglio I’ve been dying to try. I’m following your new Instagram page @cafleurebonoffical My Insta name is @michaelprincefragrance I would like to win Le Jardin Retrouve Bois Tabac Virginia, Milano Fragranze Naviglio, Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illumine, Jacques Fath Le Loden, INeKE Derring-Do, and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense. I am from the USA.

  • Laurentiu says:

If I were to win I would go for either Le Loden or New York Intense. I do not have much experience with these two houses, but I know that they have been on the market for some time and that says a lot. Classic, traditional french perfumery houses that offer versatile and chic perfumes… alas, never our paths intersected! Thank you!

  • I loved both Michelyn and Steven’s choices. When I described each of the fragrances to my boyfriend, he loved the sound of New York Intense.
    I live in the US.

  • I’m not a dad, and yet, I would love to smell “gentlemanly” 🙂
I appreciate the selections made by Michelyn and Steven – they make our lives so much easier, having selected great fragrances, although I am familiar with only a few [Derring-Do really piqued my curiosity].
I am living in EU, and if I’d be so lucky to win, I’d like it to be Naviglio.

  • Christos GX says:

Amazing reviews, Le Loden surely seems like an incredible vetiver based scent and i loved the history behind Navigillo. My choices Navigillo or Le Loden. I live in Greece, EU.

  • Claumarchini says:

Thank you Michelyn and Steven for these wonderful choices! I know only some of them so I am happy I have as always learnt a lot from your articles (and videos! By the way, I like the fact that Steven compares the perfumes to other perfumes from the past, it helps a lot!). I used to give my dad perfumes, although I used to fail when I tried to make him try other fragrances… Since Fahrenheit came out he fell in love with it and would wear only that! If I were the lucky winner I would choose Mousse Illumine, New York Intense or Naviglio! Greetings from Italy and @claumarchini!

My father likes Dior Eau Savage, Guerlain Vetiver ,Dunhill Icon and Nishane Hacivat, my gifts to him.
The fragrance for Father’s Day I’ll enjoy
Milano Fragranze Naviglio is really versatile, I can wear on almost all occasions. Clean, fresh floral fragrance with classy touch . Alessandro Brun brought to us a lot of new beauties , Naviglio is one of them.
Parfums de Marly Percival , I love Pegasus but never tried Percival
Jacques Fath Le Loden. I’m a tailor, and I know Jacques Fath as high end fashion designer brand first. They were famous with top of the line quality trenches made from Loden , the reason I bought the fragrance , classy one.
Roja Parfums Scandal Parfum Cologne , never tried it, but I will
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee , I wonder what kind of fragrance Michelyn calls “nostalgic”? I like green and mossy
Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense is really good, but the one that impressed me even more was Cuir Cuba Intense . I was hesitating between the two, and bought Cuir Cuba.
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee, Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense and Milano Fragranze Naviglio i all want to win, but if I have to choose one , it would be Naviglio.
Thank you Michelyn, Steven and all others involved

The best fragrances in the 2022 Father’s Day giveaway are:
Milano Fragranze Naviglio easy going, well made fragrance.
Parfums de Marly Percival I like , but my dad wouldn’t enjoy. Byerley on the other hand was a gift for his birthday 2 years ago ,and he absolutely loves it.
Roja Parfums Scandal Parfum Cologne some may consider strictly for males, but to in perfumery there’s no such thing, wear what you like.
    Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee
I was curious about all the positive attention Rogue Perfumery received last 2 years, and decided to buy the official sample set from their own website. My favorite Rogue Perfumery is Derviche II , the macerated fruits and the Cherry Liqueur are so well done, I’m now waiting for my bottle to arrive. Mousse Illuminee is way too mature for me, but my Dad would gladly wear it.
Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense
One of my father’s signature scents , I like the way it smells on him.
I grew up in a family of fragrance lovers, my Dad alone owns around 70 fragrances right now.I’m regularly buying him fragrances, from New York Intense, to Byerley, Amouage Overture and so on.
I’d prefer to get Milano Fragranze Naviglio
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • Hello from Canada!
Looking at Bois Tabac Virginia & Derring Do!
Very interested in introducing my father to something more niche!

Appreciated both takes and introductions to some perfumes new and familiar to me!

  • sephrenia300 says:

Wonderful reviews and video! I thought Steven’s choices were very sophisticated and I particularly enjoyed his description of Naughton & Wilson’s Gravitas Pour Homme as a timeless yet powerful fragrance with intense cardamom and patchouli, a perfectly gentlemanyly fragrance. I also really enjoyed Michelyn’s choices, particularly her description of Nicolai Parfumeur Createur New York Intense as effortlessly elegant and yet hard to define, straddleing the categories of fougère, chypre, woody, amber and aromatic. I enjoy contrasting and difficult to define unconventional fragrances and New York Intense is certainly that!

I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical and my Insta name is momo.liu.121. I live in the US. If I were to win, I am interested in the fragrances in the following order:

    1) Rogue Mousse Illumine
    2) Milano Naviglio
    3) Ineke Derring Do
    4) Nicolai New York Intense
    5) Fath’s Essentials Le Loden
    6) Bois Tabac Virginia
