Sinaï is the latest perfume from Badar Parfums, created in collaboration with Flair Paris, this time in the hands and nose of the skilled Amelie Bourgeois. Sinaï beautifully blends Eastern and Western perfumery traditions, offering a rich and modern experience. Imagine an oud rose carved from amber and vanilla that shimmers with sensual spices. It’s a perfume I’ve been enjoying wearing as I’ve been getting to know it.

As Badar Parfums Sinaï hits your skin it blooms into a soft silky smoke that slowly unravels like a precious rose. Elemi introduces a refreshing, lightly woody citrus note, while pink pepper adds a subtle sparkle, reminiscent of light dancing through a gemstone, a diamond nestled in the gentle dust of spices. This enchanting combination serves as a lovely prelude to the rose, which has been gradually unfurling beneath this soft, silky veil. The rose itself is luscious, with a jam-like richness that complements its sumptuous texture, with elemi’s citrus notes enhancing its depth, while saffron infuses the petals with a luxurious, sensual sensation. Imagine silk adorned with a fine metallic silver trim, casting a gentle shimmer, as Sinaï envelops you in a soft, steamy saffron embrace, allowing musks and vanilla to emerge and highlight this opulent rose. The addition of benzoin enriches the petals, giving a creamy sweetness and rich balsamic and floral essences. This warmth softens the pink pepper’s spice, creating a cosy connection back to the saffron.

Perfumer Amelie Bourgeois has crafted an elegant perfume in Sinaï, where the individual components seamlessly intertwine, enhancing specific notes and creating a distinctive rose oud experience. The inclusion of saffron and vanilla softens the traditional elements, resulting in a beautifully contemporary perfume. The subtle hint of immortelle skillfully elevates the spices into a more sensual realm, while its nuanced dark, charred sweetness adds depth to the benzoin and vanilla, enriching their texture. This also hints at the oud, makes me think of Thai ouds, subtly enriching Sinaï with its gentle, tangy fruitiness that thickens the luscious vanilla and deepens the rose, making it feel opulent and full-bodied as the vanilla makes its oh so smooth and seductive.

Badar Parfums Sinaï is enriched by a thick yet soft incense smoke that adds a luxurious depth to its character. I can smell this projection off a strip I sprayed this morning about 2 meters away. Sinaï feels full-bodied and sweetly vanilla, yet perfectly balanced to avoid being overwhelming and cloying, rather it’s giving that simply irresistible feel. The darker undertones of oud and immortelle provide a grounding effect, while the saffron rose introduces an elegant touch that contrasts beautifully with the playful sweetness. The incense and resins give an air of intrigue, reminiscent of catching a glimpse of a lush rose from afar. You can almost see its silky, saffron-hued petals, and just as its delightful scent reaches you, a gentle wisp of smoke obscures its features, driving you to want explore further as this delicious perfume flirts with you.

Badar Parfums Sinaï

Badar Parfums Sinaï by J

There’s a clever reference to Estelle, the first perfume from Badar Parfums, as both share a delightful smoky benzoin vanilla note. However, while Estelle feels more like the playfulness and brightness day, while  Badar Parfums Sinaï leans into the allure of night with its enchanting blend of rose, oud, vanilla and saffron. The gentle warmth of spices, combined with the light amber and rich balsamic vanilla, transforms Sinaï into a captivating creamy smooth rose oud that feels like a dream. Imagine being enveloped in a silky embrace, with soft creamy petals tenderly brushing against your skin, complemented by just the right amount of smoke and musk to create an air of mystery. Sinaï is another gem from Badar Parfums and Flair Paris perfumers; Sinaï is more than just a perfume; it is an invitation to experience a journey through the senses, a celebration of the beauty found in cultural fusion. I’m very exited to see what the future holds.

Notes: Pink berries, elemi, saffron, immortelle, rose, vanilla, benzoin, incense, oud, musk, amber.

  • The standout from the review was the emphasis on Sinai’s DNA of rose, a Thai oud, vanilla and saffron profile leaning heavily on the dark aspects that oud is known for combined with a dark quality of a smoky incense giving it a depth. Even as Sinai goes dark, it still retains an elegant air. This scent even on paper, has great projection, which will make this scent complement getter for the wearer wherever they go. There is always room on any fragrance shelf for a quality rose oud scent, and any unique take on rose oud is one to definitely try out.

I think I speak for everyone that the rose/oud/saffron combo has been done and copied to death so it’s refreshing to see one in which they also added incense and a silky touch. I wouldn’t call this lactonic per se, but the added vanilla provides a smooth and creamy facet to the rose and Oud combo that’s truly a breath of fresh air on a familiar formula. The ode to the first fragrance too lets me know the DNA of Estelle may be in the realm of benzoin/vanilla which I’m not mad about as I love a sweet fragrance. A great new house adding twists and turns to the perfume industry is remarkably innovative. I’m located in the USA.

I’m intrigued by the two “I’s” – Incense and Immortelle. I’m a bit tired of the Rose and Saffron combo but I’m hoping the other notes bring a unique twist to it. It sounds lovely!

  • Sinaï sounds like such a beautiful and complex fragrance! The combination of rose, saffron, oud, and vanilla with a hint of incense and musk makes it sound like the perfect balance of elegance and mystery. I’m especially intrigued by how the fragrance has this creamy, smooth feel while still having a touch of smoky depth. Definitely sounds like a fragrance that’s not just about smelling good but about experiencing a whole sensory journey.

  • What an intriguing review! The inspiration behind Sinai, drawing from the sacred and mystical allure of Mount Sinai, adds such depth to the fragrance’s story. I’m particularly fascinated by the idea of balancing warm, resinous notes with the freshness of the desert air. Amélie Bourgeois seems to have created something truly unique. Thank you for introducing us to this creation—excited to experience it firsthand!

J’s review was on point with emphasis on what makes this fragrance different. Rose/oud with vanilla/incense which is unique enough. Usually dark notes like these are hard to design in a way to be an easy wear but it seems the combination here is still great in the air. As a fan of dark notes I think this will be superb..

  • The fragrance is described as capturing the essence of a desert, with notes like elemi, pink pepper, saffron, immortelle, and rose. These ingredients create a warm, enveloping atmosphere, reminiscent of a sunlit desert landscape and that sparked my interest. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

As an avid fan of EVERY note listed in this fragrance, I absolutely cannot wait to discover what this smells like. I’m sure that it’s blended beautifully with each note complimenting the next. This is going on my list, even if I cannot afford it. Thank you for the beautiful review and a wonderful opportunity to win. I live in Oregon.

  • I like that this scent flirts with the person wearing it. This doesn’t sound like another uninteresting rose/out fragrance. I love saffron in fragrances. Sounds absolutely lovely. USA.

  • I have tried my share of rose ouds, but the review here makes this sound like another thing altogether, to it’s glory. The incense and vanillic notes balanced against the rose with spices to heat it up…date night! This sounds mysterious, sexy and timeless. It sounds like I want to try it! I live in the US.

  • I know that the rose-oud market is getting saturated, still I just can’t seem to get enough of the profile. I have never tried scents from Badar, but I have been following and enjoying the works of the Flair crew, so I am pretty sure Sinai would be a hit for me.

  • This is really challenging, I believe cultural fusion is very difficult. Most intriguing part of the review for me is the allure of night lean.

  • In a market flooded by rose-oud compositions it’s comforting to see brands like this emerge with different twist and turns on the classic genre. I would love to get my nose on this !

  • I’ve never had the opportunity to try Badar Parfums, so this would be a beautiful beginning of the journey!
What I liked most about J’s review is his description “Imagine an oud rose carved from amber and vanilla that shimmers with sensual spices. Sinaï is more than just a perfume; it is an invitation to experience a journey through the senses, a celebration of the beauty found in cultural fusion.”

  • I love rose/oud combos. With the added notes of saffron and vanilla, this sounds like an incredibly complex and rich fragrance.

  • How appealing is SINAÏ by Badar for its smoky musk and immortelle take on the classic rose oud

  • Sinaï by Badar Parfums is a mesmerizing blend of Eastern and Western perfumery, masterfully crafted by Amelie Bourgeois in collaboration with Flair Paris. This exquisite creation opens with a vibrant burst of pink pepper and elemi, introducing a luminous, spicy-citrus freshness that gracefully unveils a luscious, jam-like rose wrapped in silky saffron warmth. As it blooms, creamy benzoin and darkly sweet immortelle add depth, while oud, amber, and vanilla create a smooth, smoky base that is both opulent and inviting. The interplay of notes is seamless, balancing richness and softness, with just enough spice and musk to evoke intrigue and elegance. With outstanding projection and refined composition, Sinaï is a captivating journey through the senses—a celebration of cultural harmony that transforms rose oud into a contemporary masterpiece. Truly a gem in the Badar Parfums collection! Salute from Paris 😉

  • What struck me most of the review was the imagery—a rose shimmering through spice-laden smoke, both inviting and elusive, like in a sensory enigma…

  • Oh my, this sounds like a delectable offering. I love vanillas when they are spiked with rose, but it is a combination that must be handled carefully, lest the scent either comes across as generic and flat, or way too much like a bath bomb. After reading J’s thought on this, I am convinced that this one is neither of those things. I love the sound of smoky incense, velvety saffron, and rich resins mixed into the fold. Sign me up! Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • I’m not familiar with Badar Perfunes, but J’s description of Sinaï as “ an oud rose carved from amber and vanilla that shimmers with sensual spices is so very evocative. The smoky incense and earthy immortelle and elemi provide luxurious yet grounding element to the rose-oud-vanilla blend. MD,USA.

  • Well I have not tried this house so I’m intrigued already and I love rose fragrances. Benzoin is a favorite note of mine also. This all sounds perfectly balanced. Thank you for the giveaway.

  • Oud, rose, and vanilla fragrances are easy to love, but that combination is so common that it’s interesting to discover a new spin on that accord. Amelie Bourgeois has distinguished Sinaï with a citrus sparkle—probably enhanced by that elemi—and a smoky incense accord to add depth and intrigue. J’s review suggests Sinaï really nails texture as well.

  • Greetings from England, UK. This is one intricate, inviting and imaginative review. I was pulled in straight away with “modern and rich” and then it was like reading a tour guide of a magical place using not only the smells but actual things like silk, silver threads, soft creamy petals. My interest is sparked by the immortelle. The visuals this review created were awesome. The images used within the review were well chosen.

  • foreverscents says:

As someone who only recently started to wear rose fragrances, Sinaï sounds like an enchanting perfume. The elemi note, providing a woody citrus tang sounds especially intriguing. The incense, oud, vanila and saffron notes add warms, depth, and silkiness. I like that J wrote that this fragrance flirts with you.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice review J.

Rose oud is an often used combination and what I liked about this fragrance was the use of elemi and incense to play off different facets of the rose and oud.

    Would like to sample this.

  • J’s description of Sinaï completely captivated me—this mix of silky rose, saffron, and oud sounds absolutely magical. The way it unfolds with creamy vanilla, smoky benzoin, and soft spices creates such an alluring and mysterious vibe. I love perfumes that feel like a journey, and the balance between playful sweetness and grounding depth makes this sound like something truly special. I would love the chance to experience this gem firsthand!
