Part 2 of our favorite autumn fragrances  for 2022 (read Part 1 here and check back soon for the winners).  All five are co-curated by Steven and Michelyn.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is one of our favorite Autumn fragrances because of its unexpected twist of cigar tobacco and spices which adds depth to a rich, but never overtly sweet vanilla with an amber drydown It is the kind of lusciously warm fragrance that smells great on skin, as well as scent trail lingers on your sweater. -Michelyn and Steven

Xerjoff Casamorati1888 Lira (Chris Maurice) composed in 2011 is one of my most loved gourmand fragrances, and I have gone through three bottles. Blood orange is dipped in caramel, as jasmine blossom and rose petals swirl around of aromatic bergamot, and lavender. Deeper tones are added by cinnamon, vanilla  and musk. Lira has a memorable scent trail, and great longevity. Honestly, I wear it all year round, but it really is my go-to in the fall and winter-Michelyn (available at Twisted Lily)

StrangeLove NYC deadofnight (Christophe Laudamiel): The brand launched in 2014 at Harrods’ Salon de Parfums with one pure perfume oil- deadofnight. This animalic oud is for those who like their ouds, well, oudy. The signature ingredient is used generously in its composition; in addition to the cool name deadofnight is a wonderful mix of real oud, Damask rose, natural violet leaves, vanilla balsam, and other natural ingredients as well as unusual synthetics, such as  paradisone and wolf wood (used in MUGLER Aura for reference and has a dry woody like vibe). Sustainable oud is used in every perfume and each is composed by multi award-winning perfumer extraordinaire, and provocateur Christophe Laudamiel – Michelyn

INeKE Field Notes in Paris: (Ineke Ruhland): Sometimes a great perfume evokes memories with a single spritz. For me, that is the case with INeKE Field Notes From Paris. The last time I was in Paris it was the Fall of 2009.  On a crisp, sunny afternoon, I went to an outdoor café near the 6th arrondissement to meet a business associate.  Plans were canceled but I did meet a man. He starting flirting with me, the way only Parisian men can get away with. Ironically Field Notes from Paris by Ineke Ruland was launched in 2009 the same year of my encounter. While I never saw Jacques (if it was his real name) again, 13 years later in Fall 2022, I dab Ineke Field Notes From Paris on my wrist and remember that day, just as it was, leaves turning colors as I sipped coffee with a stranger.

If you haven’t tried the INeKE brand, you are missing some of the most beautiful fragrances on the market, composed by a classically trained, now artisan perfumer who taught marketing at ISPICA to Yann Vasnier. Notes: Coriander Seed, Orange Flower, Bergamot, Tobacco Flower & Leaf, Patchouli, Cedar, Tonka Bean, LeatherBeeswaxVanilla – Michelyn

Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir (Daniel Gallagher) 2022:  Cinnamon, apples, oud and leather…can autumn fragrances get any better? -Steven

Redolessence and ÇaFleureBon were among the first YouTube video content creators and perfume sites to featured Gallagher Fragrances (his now discontinued Evergreen Dream was featured in our 2017 Best Autumn Fragrances by our Editor Emeritus Robert Hermmann, who passed away October 1, 2019). I turned to Daniel Gallagher (who was 123rd in our profiles in American Perfumery series) the Art and Olfaction award-winning artisan perfumer for his inspiration for Rosé Noir.  “I wanted to make a more serious Rosé All Daé. Rosé All Daé is sweet, fun, and playful. I wanted to put forth a darker version. My thought process to achieve this immediately went to leather, but I had recently received some Oud Assafi™ (sourced from Bangladesh and is born of a collaborative partnership between Jalali Agarwood and Firmenich) and had been testing out different proportions of different leather accords I worked up alongside the Oud Assafi™. I eventually landed on what is featured in Rosé Noir, combining it with the core formula of Rosé All Daé. The leather featured in Rosé Noir is meant to convey a somewhat-weathered black leather as opposed to a brown or suede leather. Even the sugary effect present in Rosé All Daé is now a more charred sugar in Rosé Noir”. -Daniel Gallagher

  • I would like to win 15 ml of Strangelove NYC deadofnight. I thought that Michelyn’s written review was something really special and unique I loved how detailed it was. I also thought that Steven’s video review was very professional and a lot of hard work was put into making in so beautiful. These fragrances are stunning. I live in Poland, EU. I am a ÇaFleureBon Instagram follower. My Insta name: insztagramekphoto

  • Gladys rivera says:

Rose Noir because I love this maestro and I would love to add this jewel to my collection. I can taste this fragrance if it is in R.A.D. line of scent.

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

I love the video and after reading the reviews, you both did a great job on describing these fragrances. Thank you for sharing

  • Thank you for introducing me to so many fragrances and perfumers that I may probably would never had an opportunity to hear about. I love hearing the experiences that influences the perfumers in creating such works of art or the memories that are correlated to the scent. I would love to try INeKE Field Notes in Paris if I were to win the giveaway. Thanks again for the opportunity!

  • It would be a privilege to win the 50 ml bottle of Rosé Noir as the combination of cinnamon, leather, apples and oud sounds enticing to me immediately. I appreciate the inclusion of the background on the fragrance as well, as I wasn’t aware that it was a sequel of sorts to Rosé All Day, a fragrance I love loads. I live in Houston, Tx. Peace, I hope everyone has a great fall and rest of the year

  • I always see all videos of him, nice youtuber and cafleurebon have best posts of perfumes, news and perfect perfumes for my collection! I live in USA and I will love to win a Rose Noir.

  • I’ve always wanted to test Strangelove ever since I’ve read about it here, first, on Cafleurebon, but never really got the chance. Perhaps this time I am lucky.
    Thank you!

  • I would love Rosé Noir. Cinnamon apple and burnt sugar is right up my alley. I have tried this house yet but all I hear is great things about it.

    Indiana USA

  • Gallagher Fragrances Rose Noir has my interest. Great Video Steven love all your Fall choices. Michelyn great job describing each fragrance. Remembering her trip to Pairs was a treat. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • From the written portion I’m in agreement with Tobacco Vanilla. From the video, because of the review, I’d choose deadofnight if chosen. US

  • Michelle Bower says:

Field notes from Paris sounds the most versatile. The Strangelove one sounds interesting…. That said Lira is the most pleasing to my personality and Rose Noir could be a favorite too. Tobacco vanille is a oldie but goody and I think most people would like that. I definitely feel Lira and Fiels nots speak to me a little more. Thanks so much you always have the best giveaways.

  • ShooterMcGavin3 says:

Great video! I would really love to win the 15 ML of StrangeLove NYC deadofnight…nothing like a good oudy fall fragrance. TN, USA

  • I would Like to win deadofnight. I loved the autumn vibes in test and the details in the video. Im from EU, croatia

  • I was actually waiting for Part 2 of Michelyn and Steven Fall fragrances lineup 🙂

Fall feels like spring in reverse, with flowers wilting instead of blooming.-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

At least where I live, it’s more like flowers drowning, it’s pouring out for a few days in a row now.
☆Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille , not overly sweet opinion of Tobacco Vanille by Michelyn does not necessarily surprise me. People opinion of the fragrance are so different, from super sweet tobacco, to honey and a bit of tobacco, to pipe tobacco, and so on. To me Tobacco Vanille smells like I’m eating Dark Chocolate Cake with roasted Plums , while someone else is smoking some Cuban cigarettes. The whole thing is how the fragrance smells to me.
☆Xerjoff Casamorati1888 Lira is like Michelyn said one of the most loved by many people worldwide gourmand fragrances. To me it smells like Blood Orange Caramel Cheesecake, with Lavender.
☆StrangeLove NYC deadofnight . Smells rich and opulent, but also so animalic…
☆INeKE Field Notes in Paris , if I could guess playful fragrance
    ☆Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir

I wanted to make a more serious Rosé All Daé. Rosé All Daé is sweet, fun, and playful. I wanted to put forth a darker version. My thought process to achieve this immediately went to leather, but I had recently received some Oud Assafi™

I happen to own Rosé All Day, and the “more serious” variation called Rosé Noir Is calling me. Daniel Gallagher own quote instantly sparked my interest. I’m a massive fan of Rosé All Day, and I’d love to win it’s darker, and serious counterpart.
Appreciate both Michelyn and Steven reviews, and the giveaway campaign

  • Autumn is my favorite time of year and autumn fragrances are among my favorites. Steven’s video and Michelyn’s write-ups made all of these five perfumes sound fabulous. But if I could win one it would be deadofnight, with its oudy oud. I live on Oklahoma, USA. And I follow ÇaFleureBon in Instagram.

  • Yes indeed, Tobacco Vanille another staple for the autumn. Great choice from you both. And Lira a longevity beast for sure. You really wear it year-round Michelyn? Nice! Never tried deadofnight; but I’m not the biggest fan of paradisone, so that could be all for the better. 😀 Field Notes certainly my fav from Ineke too! Steven’s right about it being on the dry, earthy and woodsy side of things – but also versatile. Wouldn’t go amiss with Jaipur Chai in the autumn either. Interesting coincidence with the Parisian man Michelyn. lol I hope he wasn’t too intrusive! Compliments on your fragrance? Looking forward to trying more of Daniel’s fragrances – Rose Noir and Mists of Time among them. But he certainly makes some great sweeties for the cooler weather. Cheers!

  • ChanteusedesIles says:

Ooh this is my kinda list! I really enjoyed Michelyn’s story, it’s so true about how only the men in Paris flirt that way! Lol I also couldn’t agree more about Ineke perfumes, I bought Jaipur Chai last year and Field Notes in Paris was my other fav, it’s one of the the best tobaccos on me (Along with Dusita) I would love to win a bottle if chosen! I agree with Steven as I also find it more elegant and not as loud perhaps as the Tom Ford, which is also nice! I love Gallagher perfumes, I just made an order earlier today for Wicked Good! (And a sample of Rosé all Day) but after hearing Steven talk about the flanker I wish I had added that sample too. I live in Canada .

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

I love that michelyn calls out that dead of night has a cool name! Obvi the smell is the most important part, but the name plays a part! I l don’t like tobacco vanille but like that Stephen brings it up year after year. We like what we like and i like that Stephen isn’t scared of that.
I’d love to win dead of night. It sounds delicious.
    I live in Indiana

  • Joshua & Katie says:

Both reviews are great. They always are.
The only ouds we have tried are clones amethyst and oud for glory. I realize there are probably some that are better that we may like but wasting money on stuff we won’t wear gets old, so we sort of gave up.

  • Attou. Sofiane says:

I love Xerjoff Casamorati1888 because usually people. Like to wear. Tabaco leather Parfum. And. Casanorati. Derp with flowers note. And you put it on this list. Is good chose.

  • I am in for the Strangelove. Damask Rose, violet and vanilla sounds very much like something I could easily enjoy. Perfect combination for fall.
    Thanks!
    Europe

  • There will be Part 3 i hope
    – Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, I like how Michelyn described it – unexpected twist of cigar tobacco , and spices. One of the first high end fragrances I’ve ever smelled.
    – Xerjoff Lira I’m familiar with , I love such non-linear artistic gourmands, something to be expected of all Xerjoff gourmands of course.
    – Strangelove deadofnight exclusive rose and oud fragrance
    – INeKE Field Notes in Paris, French guys could be quite persistent
    – Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir. I do like chocolate fragrances, and when I read one of Cafleurebon Best American Indie Perfume articles , I had to order Wicked Good sample , and now I have a bottle. Smells so alluring, like one of those very expensive hand made Belgian chocolate , so realistic. Rosé Noir is fruity, spicy ,less sweet, with leather and oud , but just as alluring as Wicked Good
If lucky, I’d prefer Rosé Noir
Thanks for the collaboration, and the draw

  • Fragrances evoke memories and for Michelyn, Ineke Field Notes from Paris reminds her of her Paris trip. Steven is a fan of fall season and one of the fragrances he seems to enjoy most in fall is Tobacco Vanille which he calls the epitome of fall season. My choice is Ineke Field Notes from Paris. I am in US.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

I enjoyed Michelyn’s descriptive experience in Paris and how that memory is tied to the scent creation known as Field Notes From Paris. I have a similar experience back in my Navy days. While visiting Toulon France in the late 1980’s a fellow sailor and I were walking down the street, when a lady walked past. Her sillage caught my attention and I had to politely garner her attention and ask what she was wearing…and she said in the most beautiful French accent….Poison. To this day, when I smell this fragrance, it instantly transports me to that experience.

Steven day after day always finds a way to transport me into a new olfactive experience via his detailed descriptive videos and today was no exception. He enhanced and further piqued my interest in Field Notes From Paris by INeKE. Also my choice should I win this giveaway. USA

  • The brand launched in 2014 at Harrods’ Salon de Parfums with one pure perfume oil- deadofnight. I am intrigued by Deadofnight the most because of the oudy note. Great review by Steven and Michelyn as always. If I am lucky to win I would love to win Strangelove Deadofnight. I follow @Cafleurebonofficial. Thanks a million from the UK

  • deadofnight is a wonderful mix of real oud, Damask rose, natural violet leaves, vanilla balsam, and other natural ingredients as well as unusual synthetics, such as paradisone and wolf wood (used in MUGLER Aura for reference and has a dry woody like vibe). I really loved Michelyn and Steven reviews. I am fascinated by Deadofnight because of Rose and Oud combinations. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • This period ids the favorite of the year for me also because of the fragrances selection we can use with a more lower temperatures. I have tried all of the chioces of this article except for gallagher’s and the strange love ones. Suoer intrigued by the notes but probably I would love it. If i’ll be lucky enough I’ll choose the strangelove one since it’s also a super difficult brand to test here in Italy

  • Thank goodness it’s finally fall as the weather broke here in Tennessee and it’s 20° cooler today than yesterday. I’m ready for the fall fragrances and While deciding which fragrance of the three I would like I noted that I’ve always wanted to try more than an entry level oud. With Steven and yourself discussing the food in strange love, I thought I would risk it and go for that one even though the other ones seem like they would be safer pets for me. So strange love is my choice. Thank you for the draw. USA.

  • Michele Coccaro Benedict says:

Both the videos and the written review helped me decide which fragrance I’d LOVE to win! Steven’s vid had me wanting deadofnight but then after reading Michelyn’s review of Lira I wish to have it the fact she’s bought 3 bottles and also wears it all year that would be my #1 choice! <3 ps… I am getting deadofnight for my hubby for Christmas after these reviews!

  • HiMyNameIsWaste says:

I’d love to win the Field Notes from Paris fragrance. The video and written reviews were very well-done & made me excited to try all three scents. I live in Nashville, TN USA.

  • I’m from Canada, Very great list all those fragrances are new to me …from the description I will tend to go more toward Rosé Noir…love a good sweet leather however would be thrilled to try out Fields note from Paris! .thank you for your review Michelyn

  • First off Steven is looking so smart in his videos lately. Secondly, I happen to also love Lira and Tobacco Vanille. I have a small sample of the Gallagher scent. I’m very interested in the Field Notes from Paris as I love a scent that can be worn all the time (although I’ll wear whatever I want whenever I want) in maryland.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

Fall is definitely a great time for fragrance lovers as we can start to pull out our more complex, darker offerings. I missed Part 1 of this list, which definitely had some nice fragrances. What attracts me to Field Notes in Paris by Ineke is it’s versatility. My wife spent a few days in the fall in Paris for our wedding honeymoon in 2008. I feel like this fragrance would conjure up that memory very nicely. I appreciate the giveaway opportunity. Many blessings from Virginia, USA!

  • I would like to win the 50 ML of Rosé Noir. I’ve been wanting to try a few from Gallagher Fragrances for a while now.

I’ve been a long time subscriber to Steven’s channel and his videos are always professional, informative, and entertaining. This was no exception. The written article was also very well done. It’s a shame that there aren’t many written articles/blogs about the more indie and niche side of perfumery at least as it compares to video reviews.

I am a USA resident and I am also an Instagram follower: @randymherron.

  • katyakotovskaya says:

As always, carefully curated and amazingly described list of fragrances, thank you both, Michelyn and Steven! I enjoyed Steven’s recommendations on occasions you can wear this or that perfume to. But most of all I loved sentimental and lyrical mood of Michelyn’s review, because for me fragrances and memories are deeply connected as well. I’m very curious about Strangelove NYC deadofnight, majorly because I’m an oud enthusiast. Would love to win it. I follow you on Instagram, too! Greetings from Europe.

  • I like what Steven and Michelyn had to say about all the fragrances in the article and video. I’d like to win Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir. Describing it as, “similar to Oajan” made the decision for me. The air is getting cool and crisp in New Jersey, USA.

  • Really enjoyed this and I must say Steven and Michelyn are great together.
I already own Rosè Noir which is fabulous and would like to win strangelove deadofnight
    The Oud sounds great USA

  • Jacob D Savitt says:

I would love to win the casamorati, this brand is so incredible and the notes of this frag sound amazing!

  • Thank you Michelyn and Steve for another stellar list. In this list I’ve had both Tobacco Vanille and Lira and Tobacco Vanille turns out to be my second favorite Tom Ford after Metallique (still surprised it doesn’t seem to get much traction). I’ve had a memory from over 2 decades ago aroused by a single sniff of Hermes concentre d’orange so I can relate to your experience with Field Notes. From both Michelyn’s and Steven’s descriptions, I’d love to win Strangelove NYC deadofnight or Ineke Field Notes. I’m in USA

  • Fall is my favorite time for fragrances. I particularly loved Michelyn’s story about Ineke Field notes from Paris. I also have very strong scent memories of many fragrances I wore in the past. Or fragrances other people wore. I think scent is the easies way to directly transport you to a place and a memory, no matter how distant it is. I also agree with Steven’s opinion that this is not an overtly sweet fragrance. I also find it very very elegant and fall appropriate. Ever since I smelled it it was on my wish list. I actually samples all Ineke fragrances and they are really amazing. Out of this amazing list I’d love to also try Deadofnight and believe it or not Tobacco Vanille which I haven’t tried yet (!). Regarding the giveaway I’m of course picking Field Notes from Paris. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • I would love to win 15 ml of Strangelove NYC deadofnight, so this is what I would choose were I to win this draw. I love oud and incense perfumes and Steven and Michelyn both said it’s very oudy and incense-like. From Michelyn’s review I learned that it was the brand’s first perfume, though I have read quite a bit about this brand on Cafleurebon over the years. Thanks to Steven and Michelyn for these 5 Fall perfume reviews. I am a Redolessence subscriber. Much thanks also for these generous draws. From USA.

  • I love TF Tabacco Vanille! It is a winter staple in my collection. I hope to find an older partial bottle one day, since the sample I had compared to my newer bottle had a huge difference in the scent. My bottle has a sweeter vanilla than the older batch sample I had. I have sampled a few things from Gallagher, but not Rose Noir. However, DeadofNight is probably the BEST oud fragrance I have ever smelled. It has been on my wishlist for over a year, but is so expensive. The jasmine or whatever floral is in DeadofNight is absolutely beautiful once it drys down. It radiates off of me in waves. It was interesting per Stevens review that the perfumer also did A&F Fierce which I have loved since it came out years ago. I also need to look up wolf wood! Hahaha. Strangelove NYC also has oils of their fragrances that you can purchase at Luckyscent,
and I can’t wait to try them all. Based on Michelyn’s review and others I have read, Lira sounds amazing. I have yet to sample that as well. Thank you for the draw as always!! I would choose DeadofNight as my choice. I’m following on Instagram! US.

  • I really like the diversity in the types of fragrances on this list, especially Steven’s impressions and descriptions of them. I also enjoyed Michelyn’s description of Ineke Field Notes From Paris and how it brings back memories for her. I’d like to win Gallagher Fragrances Rose Noir. I live in NY and I follow Cafleurbon on IG (username wrm_01).

  • It’s wonderful to see the difference between Steven’s and Michelyn’s approaches and sensitivities while describing a perfume (sometimes, the same one). I feel Steven is more practical, detailed and punctual, while Michelyn has a more subjective, personal and poetic approach. Shows the same perfumes in two different lights.
I would love to win deadofnight. It sounds so opulent, warm and unique!
I am also following Cafleurebon on instagram.
    From the EU.

  • So excited for the fall wardrobe switch! Steven, I enjoyed how you mentioned other fragrances by the perfumer, or similar fragrances alongside your reviews. Michelyn, thanks for sharing your story about Field Notes in Paris! Ineke is one of my favourite perfumers and it makes me so happy to see their work talked about here.

If I win, I would choose deadofnight. Thank you for the review, writing from the EU.

  • I love Michelyn’s description of Field
Notes from Paris as feeling like drinking coffee among the fall leaves. That is exactly the vibe I’m craving right now! I am also intrigued by Steven’s description of the beeswax note and the overall versatility of the fragrance. If chosen, Field Notes from Paris is the one I’d want to win. I’m MN, USA and am a redolessence subscriber on YouTube. I’m also an instagram follower @ra7chel

  • I enjoyed both Michelyn’s and Steven’s reviews of INeKE’s Field Notes from Paris. Michelyn’s explanation of how this scent called her back to her Paris encounter and Steven’s description of the notes in the perfume (especially the earthiness of the beeswax note) make Field Notes from Paris my choice if I were to win the drawing. I’m in the US.

  • Great choices for cooler weather. It’s certainly time for cozier, warmer fragrances. While all sound wonderful, I would love to have Ineke Field Notes from Paris. The patchouli/leather/vanilla base with delicate florals and spices sounds exceptionally well executed. And perhaps, if I wear it, I will get a Parisian man to flirt with me too! MD, USA

  • lisasanderson says:

Fall part 2 is also a great review. Tobacco vanille is a famous part of fall for sure. Lira is a sweet alternative. Steven described it well. I liked Gallagher’s rose noir’s description. A dark version with leather and oud of rose all dae sounds like a fall version of the spring version. Field notes with the Parisian connection sounds also interesting. I liked Steven’s note on the scent.

    USA
I am interested in trying rose noir

  • Like in part 1 , again lovely reviews of fragrances I love
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille , spicy tobacco with cocoa and dried fruits, it lingers from a skin or sweater
    Xerjoff Casamorati1888 Lira
“Lira has a memorable scent trail, and great longevity. Honestly, I wear it all year round”
I also wear Lira all year round, for many years it was my favorite Xerjoff, right now I’d say Cruz del Sur II , followed by Golden Dallah , and then comes my old love Lira.
StrangeLove NYC deadofnight I’ve sampled – bold, but not harsh unapologetic fragrance , with natural oud and rose , arguably leaning a bit masculine.
INeKE Field Notes in Paris , the smell of Michelyn love affair in Paris 😉
Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir . Rosé All Day is playful, sweet and boozy, I wonder if the addition of oud and leather in Rosé Noir changed the smell drastically, or not. I like the added Daniel Gallagher thought process , and the charred sugar accord
Amongst Waves i own , I’d love to also have Rosé Noir
    Thank you for the opportunity
    USA

  • I typically haven’t tried most of the fragrances in these wonderful Fragrances to Wear lists, but this one is an exception. I’ve sampled Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir, and the latter is more to my tastes. I like my heavier fragrances less sweet.

Glad you’re profiling Field Notes in Paris. I reach for my waining sample regularly; it works year around, but wears like a tobacco-amber that’s a good fit for cool autumn days. (Though Idyllwild is my favorite INeKE perfume, and in my signature scent contender list.) I enjoyed Michelyn’s story about this fragrance; the best fragrances are ones that capture and remind us of fond memories. And like Stephen said, it’s easy to wear in many contexts and is very classy.

I also enjoyed Steven’s introduction about welcoming autumn—I also look forward to crisp weather that favors warm, heavier fragrances. His comments about deadofnight really caught my attention. I’d love to add a strong oud to my collection for this autumn and winter.

Thank you both for the excellent reviews.

I’m in the USA and I follow @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram.

I’d love to win the 15 ml of Strangelove NYC deadofnight. Thanks!

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven’s video and picks for best fall fragrances Part 2 and Michelyn’s written intro and review. Steven has a way of really potraying how these fragrances come across that really get my attention. So many great fragrances I enjoy from Tobacco Vanille to Rose Noir and Xerjoff Lira, but one I haven’t tried that really intrigues me is INeKE Field Notes in Paris. Steven describes the woody, earthy, and toobacco facets that really evoke the feeling of autumn. I am following @cafleurebonofficial on Instagram @michaelprincefragrance If I win I would choose INeKE Field Notes in Paris. I am from the USA.

  • I wish to win Strange Love Dead of night. The way Steven describes it to his video with iris and rose opening and ambery incensey drying down makes it irresistible. On the other hand Michelyn adds paradisone and animalic oud in perfume description which lift it up to the sky! Honestly i would love to have it in my collection. I live in Greece, EU.

  • I love it when a spritz of a fragrance brings back memories. Fall is a very nostalgic time for me. It seems that the cooler weather has me reaching for Lira every year. Steven’s review of deadofnight and its incense note along with the smoky drydown piqued my interest. If lucky, I would love to try it. Thanks for another awesome article and draw. Mich USA

  • Autumn is my favorite time of the year, particularly because I enjoy switching up from all my summer fragrances to colder weather scents. It’s gotten chilly very fast here in northeastern PA, so I’ve been wearing heavier scents for the past week. I loved this list of autumn fragrances. Lira and Tobacco Vanille are gorgeous scents for right now! I’ve never heard of the other 3 but definitely lean towards the Gallagher Rose’ Noir. I enjoy dark, rose fragrances. I have to add that one of my very favorites to wear in colder weather is L’Artisan Exquis Noir. I have a feeling Rose’ Noir would layer beautifully with it!
I live in the US and would choose Rose’ Noir.

  • Michelyn!! Steven!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love your thoughts & knowledge! Michelyn, what a perfectly French encounter! I love your beautiful descriptions! ❤️ Steven! As always, your thorough breakdowns and analysis are so Great!
If I am a lucky winner, I would love, love, love DeadofNight!
Thank you for this Amazing opportunity!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  • Great choices, great perfumes.
I always enjoy Steven’s reviews and like Michelyn writing.
I would love to have the opportunity to win Strangelove NYC deadofnight. It sounds amazing and I have been wanting to try that brand!

Thanks for this very cool opportunity. Hello from Poland, Gdansk!

If I win, then I would choose Gallagher Fragrances “Rose Noir”, even though all three for the giveaway are interesting to me. I appreciate Michelyn’s take on the matter, and I appreciate Stephen’s descriptions of the fragrances too. Also, Steven’s description of “deadofnight” caused me to see the necessity of sampling it eventually. I live in the U.S.A. I follow Cafleurebon on Instagram (@regismonkton)

  • I love when Michelyn is reaching out to not just brand owners, but to perfumers, so they can share their perspective on the reviewed fragrance, how it was made , and the idea behind it.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is the most famous spicy and sweet tobacco fragrance. I believe it’s already a classic , and a staple for me , Steven and Michelyn.
Xerjoff Casamorati1888 Lira is my favorite Xerjoff, Ideally balanced , multifaceted sweet, warm spicy fragrance .Not to mention Michelyn genuinely loves the way it smells
StrangeLove NYC deadofnight I’d imagine is special really complex scent, going through a lot of phases. I’m sensing some old school vibes in it , but I’m sure sandalwood and rose will balance out the animalic part well.
INeKE Field Notes in Paris, welcoming woody tobacco
Gallagher Fragrances Rosé Noir checks all the boxes .
I do believe in creative people like Daniel Gallagher, who know what they want in life, and most importantly how to achieve all their goals .
From Gallagher Fragrances I own Amongst Waves , one if the best melon fragrances on the market , tropical and happy
Rosé Noir has some of Amongst Waves markers, even though also much darker. I like the contrast between the sweeter notes , and leather , charred sugar, and Oud Assafi on the other , artistic fragrance is what I’m expecting.
Gallagher Rosé Noir is the fragrance i’d like to win
Thank you Michelyn , Steven and all the brands

  • Thanks for the great review Michelyn and Steven.

I really like the sound of Strangelove NY deadofknight and Ineke Ruhland’s Field Notes from Paris. Christopher Laudmiele wields oud in such a beautiful manner with rose, violet blossoms, vanilla and wolfwood to create and wonderfully well name animalic – deadofnight.

Ineke always creates fragrances that create a beautiful scentscape – ethereal, filled with moods and nostalgia. I love the use of leather, tobacco flower, vanilla and other notes to create a memory to remind us of here times in Paris.

I would love to win either of these fragrances.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Wonderful article! I loved the way Michelyn’s written review describes how INeKE Field Notes in Paris evokes such a strong and beautiful memory for her of meeting a flirtatious French stranger and having the perfect Parisian night! What a lovely and charming memory to share and it makes me really want to try it and see if it evokes similar memories in me of spontaneous European nights.

And I really enjoyed how Steven’s video review describes the specific notes and progression of said notes in each fragrance so thoroughly particularly such as how he describes deadofnight as ambery and warm and oudy but with an contrasting luminous and bright opening of violet and rose. I love fragrances that juxtapose light and dark lie that so Steven’s description of the note progression sounds absolutely lovely me.

If I were to win I would choose Strangelove NYC deadofnight as my first choice but I would be happy to win any of these fragrances, with Field Notes from Paris being my 2nd choice and Rosé Noir being my 3rd. I live in the US. I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical and my Insta name is momo.liu.121.
