When pondering what to write about, for Halloween, it was a “no brainer”. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (or BPAL to its fans and fanatics) was the winner, hands down. BPAL has created scents that glorify literature, the gothic era, mythology and everything from love to death.
I have been intrigued with Odin as a perfume line for some time. The stark, dark bottles always seem so masculine, that I’m not sure I’m allowed to wear the perfume inside. In the last month, they released the seventh and eighth scents in the line, 08 Seylon, and 09 Posala. Fortunately, I have found that the perfumes are wearable by any gender.
LiquidNight from A Lab on Fire is a fragrance of deep dark notes with a little light from a couple of well-chosen bright notes. LiquidNight is a complex evolving fragrance which is definitely more dark than light and was composed by Carlos Benaim
It has been a while since the house of Houbigant, famous for the original Chantilly and Quelques Fleurs, has released a new fragrance aimed to the feminine market. Now they have added to the line with a perfume based on orange blossom by perfumer Jacques Flori, called Orangers en Fleurs.
