In 2011, Diptyque released a fragrance called 34 Boulevard Saint Germain. Designed to remind the wearer of the fragrance one would experience on entering the Paris flagship store. This spring, another version was released, L’Eau du Trente-Quatre, to represent the greener aromas that emerge in the shop when Paris heats up in the summertime.
The most recent perfumer to take on muguet is Jerome Epinette in the new fragrance for Byredo called Inflorescence. In a note he said, Inflorescence is “the interpretation of a muguet, greener, fresher and more stylized than the real one.”
Azzaro Paris had, until last year, never released any seasonal flankers for one of their most popular releases ever: 1996’s Chrome. Somehow Chrome Summer Edition 2013 manages to shine and sparkle like summertime but pays all due homage to the original.
