NEW FRAGRANCE: Parfumerie Generale “Indochine” A Portrait in Sepia + Preview Draw

Pierre Guillaume’s inspiration for the 25th Parfumerie Generale perfume, due to be released in September, is a pair of sepia photographs from 1920 Indochine which depict a cruise on the Mekong River. As I have been wearing Indochine over that last few days it felt like a fragrance which has its own unique patina. M Guillaume chose ingredients from throughout the region as his notes for Indochine.

Heeley Hippie Rose: Scent of Freedom + Woodstock Draw

I am a fan of James Heeley of Heeley Perfumes as he has made a number of singular fragrances which I think are pretty good. His latest fragrance Hippie Rose has the ability to take me back to the Summer of Love in Provincetown. Mr. Heeley has created a patchouli rose fragrance that is surrounded by two different kind of musk which gives it a sun-warmed skin accord underneath the patchouli and rose.
