That we happen to currently produce scented candles and room sprays is purely a function of how we evolved and transitioned from our roots in flowers. What is mesmerizing to me about American perfumery is that we’re on the verge of the fragrance artists themselves coming to the forefront and being recognized and acknowledged for the beauty and stories they create.
Twelve pivotal fragrances, dating from 1889 to the present, were chosen to open the exhibit and will be on view November 13, 2012, through January 27, 2013, at the Museum of Arts and Design
Several months ago M. Marchal told us that the next Parfums MCDI would be an oriental chypre by Bertrand Duchaufour (who created their last fragrance La Belle Helene).
