Sr. Editor Lauryn Beer reviewed Woman and Editor Sebastian Jara had asked to review Amouage Portrayal Man once we realized it was one of ONLY two of all of Mr. Chong’s 12 years of work as of last month that we had not reviewed. The perfumer for Amouage Portrayal Man is Pierre Negrin of Firmenich. Amouage Portrayal Man which he finds to be unique with its violet leaves, which predominate and cade which give it a spicy leathery feel. It’s sexy, an aquatic that’s more about the water than the beach. Although labeled for men, I find it one of the most gender neutral scents for summer.
