Amouage Beach Hut Man Review (Elise Benat) 2017+What’s in A Name Draw

Amouage Beach Hut Man review

With a world seemingly gone quite mad enduring hurricanes, earthquakes, forest fires, political conflict, and of course the Pandemic, we all wish we could find places of calm and solitude.  Composed in 2017 by Elise Benat of Firmenich,Amouage Beach Hut Man would seem like the perfect escape to a tropical island. What’s in a name? There really isn’t anything particularly “beachy’ about Beach Hut Man, in fact is quite green, with a realistic mint note that’s aromatic instead of smelling like toothpaste. There is the slightly bitter scent of galbanum, the earthiness of patchouli and the scent of freshly mown grass. Your place of serenity is not in a hut on a sun-swept sandy beach but sitting peacefully near an old house in the woods where  tangles of ivy climb the brick walls. – Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Notes: Mint, Orange Blossom, Galbanum, Vetiver, Moss, Ivy, Patchouli, Myrrh, Dry Woods

I’m a big fan of Green Irish Tweed…as Sebastian was going through his review of Beach Hut Man, I’m thinking of it as similar but with a mint accord and some earthiness. Really hope to get my nose on this one. Appreciate the review and the opportunity for the giveaway! Best from Virginia, USA!

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Love the house , also Love minty fragrances , with my favourite being you or someone like you from etat libre d orange , would really love to add this to my colection , new york , usa .

  • Mint is a tricky note. When it’s done right it’s amazing. When it’s not blended right it ends up smelling like gum.
I am always in the search of the perfect green summer scent. I enjoyed Sebastian’s review and I think Amouage was able to execute an excellent summer green minty fragrance this time. Thanks for the draw. USA

  • Beach Hut is my favourite summer fragrance because it’s one of the longest lasting fresh scents out there! To me mint is much more unique in summer fragrances than typical citrous scents~ I would love to finally add it to my small collection!

  • I love Sebastian’s videos! He did a great job of highlighting the notes in this fragrance and how they perform, especially the MINT. I’m definitely into mint fragrances so this is a must try for me.

  • Josh Teriyaki says:

Very descriptive review from sebastian. The notes sound interesting I am a big fan of barber shop fragrances. Would really like to try this one. Georgia USA

  • MPfragrance says:

I agree with Sebastian that it is a great fragrance, but the name misleads people. I actually avoided it all of last summer because I was not looking for an aquatic scent. Once I heard some things about it I sampled it and fell in love.

  • The only mint fragrance I own is Jo Malone white jasmine and mint. I hadn’t tried Amouage beach hut series because I am not a fan of beachy fragrances. Green ivy and soapy sounds interesting

  • Mint is a favorite note for me! It sparkles on my skin. I could watch Sebastian’s videos for days. He’s so lovely. USA

  • Brian E Rellergert says:

I do like minty fragrances as long as they aren’t like chewing gum/toothpaste/mouthwash. I also love Memoir Man, which has a prominent mint note. Thanks for the giveaways! 🙂

  • Brandon Johnson says:

Great review per usual. Beach hut man is a great summer fragrance and very potent. To me BHM up close in the high heat, smells like palm leaves on a beach hut, baking in the sun. It is a vacation in a bottle.
    California

  • I always enjoy sebastian’s content. He mentions that this is the mintiest scent he has come across which is interesting and the parallel to bracken man. Not sure how feel about it just yet. Based in the US

  • Sebastian’s review really piqued my interest in this fragrance. He really knows his stuff when it comes to describing fragrances and his take on this scent is fantastic. I’ve never tried anything from this house before but I’d love to. Thanks for the great review and the great giveaway. Commenting from Kentucky USA.

  • Bradley Woolslayer says:

It was interesting to see Sebastian say that Beach Hut Man was actually more of a heavy mint fragrance. I enjoy the use of mint in fragrances, especially when the note is balanced by other things.

  • Sebastian really does a great job explaining fragrances and giving examples to imagine the smell. I havent tried many fragrances with mint in them i can really only think of Le Male and one i love that has a mint note is MFK Aqua Celestia Forte. Thanks for the generous draw. From CT USA.

  • Yes I do love minty scents. Kinda refreshing to me but thankfully not in a mouthwash kind of scent. I do love Sebastian’s taste and often check his reviews. Minty, green and herbal with citrus touches in the opening and dries down to woody/earthy sounds like my type. IL, USA

  • Hands down my favourite Amouage fragrance. Not particularly a fan of minty fragrances myself, but Beach Hut does it right combining it with galbanum, moss and vetiver. Agree with Seb that it gets quite resinous in the drydown. Could’ve sworn there was a touch of lavender and amber with that quasi-barbershop feel. So glad he mentioned the foaminess. It’s almost like a warm fog coming off of a pond in the morning sun. Overall, I loved the imagery! Seriously stoked for the opportunity to win a bottle. I’m actually off to mow the grass right now! MI, USA

  • Harold Lee Jr says:

I really enjoyed the review and based on Sebastian’s experience and review this sounds like a wonderful fragrance to try out! I definitely appreciate the opportunity to be entered in the giveaway!

  • I usually dont like minty fragrances but after trying a sample of this one I loved it. As Sebastian said that Ivy note is very special and of course unusual. The result is a clearly masculine fragrance, very herbal and earthy (the vetiver fits perfectly here), in summarize a perfect scent. Thanks for the giveaway. Miami, Florida.

  • I love this house! I currently own 3 of their fragrances and love them all equally with their respective qualities of course, hopefully with this giveaway I can add another one to the collection. Florida USA

  • It was interesting to hear Sebastian thought about Beach Hut Man. But I was surprised from first moment, when Sebastian described it “minty” perfume. Yes, there are mint, but I would not describe it as minty perfume. For me Beach Hut Man more about fresh woody with a touch of moss.
Beach Hut is one of my favorite from Amouage house.

  • I enjoy all Sebastian’s videos. He describes fragrances so well, I fell like I can smell them. This perfume sounds very interesting to me since I find mint to be very pleasant, but as Sebastian I really don’t like toothpasty perfumes, and many times perfumes with mint are like that. This perfume sounds exciting to me because of the woody green combination and especially because of the ivy note. I’d love to be able to smell how that combines with mint.

  • Love the minty aspects and Sebastian’s review. I think Michelyn’s comment said it all, “Your place of serenity is not in a hut on a sun-swept sandy beach but sitting peacefully near an old house in the woods where tangles of ivy climb the brick walls. Thanks for Michelyn’s comments and Sebastian’s review and also thanks to Europerfumes/Eden Square for this terrifc draw. I’m in the USA

  • Sebastian says that the name may discourage some from trying the fragrance as Sebastian himself did. Mint is one of the main notes and it also has barbershop soapiness. I have not tried many minty fragrances so don’t have much experience. USA.

  • It was comforting to learn from Michelyn and Sebastian that it doesn’t go in the toothpaste smell direction. Woody, spicy, earthy, fougere, yes, yes, yes, totally into these. Haven’t tried Amouage, yet. From Sebastian’s review, it seems to be a very fresh, minty fragrance, perfect for focused software design work, if I may say so. I have mowed over herbs and grass, unfortunately, it was onion grass!!! So while Sebastian did a great job re-creating the olfactory experience of mowing over grass, mint, ivy, and so on, if I am not lucky enough to win this generous draw, the next tedious experiment will be mowing over some mint and ivy and grass, and go from there 🙂 Seriously, however, while I still have some concerns about the excessive mintiness of Amouage Beach Hut Man, given the big name and fame of this house, I am sure it is a good perfume, though not suitable for all occasions. Thanks for the review and the draw. Writing from the USA.

  • I love that fresh cut grass scent after I mow the lawn. Sebastian mentioned ivy, which I grow in an etagere, and I would like to see how it works with the mint in Beach Hut Man. Thanks for the opportunity! Mich USA

  • mariajcastilloor says:

This sounds so interesting for a fragrance, According to Sebastian’s review. Love vetiver, and overall woody and earthy scents are my favorite. My experience with mint in fragrance so far is sampling You or Someone like you by ELDO, which I enjoy quite a lot. All the best from Minneapolis!

  • This fragrance is everything I love about mint. I just finished a sample and he is right……it is fantastic.

  • Very detailed review from Sebastian as usual! I am not a huge fan of beach scents so a fragrance called Beach Hut Man focusing on the greener aspects of summer sounds refreshing. I love mint in the summer (tea, mojitos) and am excited to see how it works in a fragrance. Commenting from the USA.

  • I actually love the note of mint in fragrances. I’m a big fan of the sweet mint in Sedley from Parfums de Marly and I’d be interested to smell it in a woody, earthy fragrance like Beach Hut. I really enjoyed how Sebastian connected the fragrance to gardening with his father. It’s truly amazing how a certain note or combination of notes can bring us back to a memory from our childhood.

  • I really appreciated Sebastian’s review. I have a decant of this and like the scent. To me it is fresh but not in the standard citrusy way. Now I know it is the mint note. I wouldn’t have guessed had I not watched his review. Great as always!

  • Forgot to add to my review that he and I are from good old city by the bay, San Francisco 🙂

  • Sebastian is a great reviewer and I like how he builds comparisons where he can to help build a description that is very useful! The excess mint note and beach hut vs the normal “beach” fragrance style sounds great. I have never tried the house but would love the opportunity
    Cheers from NY, USA

  • Love Sebastian’s honesty, that is why I am a fan, this review does not dissapoint as he destroys the “beach” assimilation. I am a huge fan of Amouage and have been close to some mint fragrances like Eros and Le Male.

  • I enjoyed this review from Sebastian, especially his description of Beach Hut Man being the most realistic mint that he has come across without smelling like toothpaste I enjoy green and woody fragrances with a barbershop feel and would love to give this one a try. Thanks for the opportunity. Kentucky USA.

  • Very interested to smell and wear a minty fragrance as I don’t own any fragrance with mint. The name as Sebastian suggested does throw you off because I wouldn’t really consider beach hut man as anything to do with mint. So excited about this giveaway!! Love Amouage!!!

  • Love sebastians honest reviews ! I wouldn’t have fussed minty by the name of the perfume. Sounds beachy/ tropical to me. Very excited to try this since I don’t have anything in my perfume collection with mint in it.

  • ScentedSojourner says:

As usual, it was a great video by Sebastian. He always gives such vivid descriptions of scent profiles. The description of Beach Hut Man being like large clumps of freshly cut grass was particualrly interesting. Thanks for doinf this giveaway, as a lover of both vetiver and mint, I’d really like to win a bottle of Beach Hut Man!

  • Shamrock1313 says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always great information. I love BHM & other minty fragrances. I think BHM really works on my skin when it’s not really hot weather. Evenings now and straight through the Fall and Spring.
It’s so unique and it’s performance is incredible.
So unique, I’m always asked what are you wearing, I’ve never smelled anything like it.
    Thanks for the giveaway

I looooove mint in fragrances, especially green ones. So excited to see an amouage give away as I love their sunshine fragrance. Dying to try this one! I appreciate how Sebastian is able to differentiate between different types of minty fragrances, like how this one is earthy and soapy. I’m in California, USA

  • Ahmed Hamoda says:

One of my favorite niche houses. I have five of their fragrances. Can’t wait to try this one and the new black iris interlude. Thanks For sharing. Michigan, USA

  • Honeydew Crenshaw says:

love the Amouage house – why must the scents be so expensive!

don’t have a mint scent, yet – I like cooking with it

  • Always passed by this fragrance until this review. I like mint based fragrances and appreciate how Sebastian described the mint used in Beach Hut Man.

  • I’m very interested into amouage brand including beach hut man I love the notes and y’all do a amazing fantastic job with these fragance that have came out to this brand real like all y’all releases I would be honor to own this full bottle of amouage fragrance and continue collect you guys fragrance this would be my first bottle I like interested in this giveaway I’M FROM USA IN TEXAS

Once again Sébastian has me wanting to open my wallet! This sounds right up my ally! What I love about Sébastian’s review is how in depth he goes to describe a fragrance. I live in Boston Massachusetts.

  • Love sebastian review on beach hut man. Always use his personal experience on describe the perfume. I have try beach hut man with a decant, it a great fragrance, with great performance. I love minty fragrance, lasy one I try is celebration by royal crown.

  • I loved that Sebastian specified the type of minty smell this fragrance had lol I enjoy minty fragrances, but like Sebastian, I do not enjoy the toothpaste/mouthwash type of minty smell in my cologne. I like more of a fresh natural minty fragrance and the fact that he compared it to a barbershop smell tells me that this fragrance is just that. I really love the barbershop smell! He went in depth with his review and due to his description of the fragrance I was able to get a clear idea about what Beach Hut Man smells like and I would definitely love to own this cologne. Great video and I like the Amouage house. Best wishes from New Jersey, USA

  • bungleodeon says:

I enjoyed knowing just how green and minty this fragrance was. I assumed it was something much different from the name.

  • Sebastian’s reviews always go into a great detail of the fragrances that he reviews. I love the level of detail. In this one he makes the mint notes in the fragrance sound really appealing. Colorado, USA.

  • wisam abbas says:

Sebastian did a great review of another great Amouage fragrance beach hut man .I love minty smell it just makes me feel fresh.

  • Sherin Thomas says:

Love the mint overdose . I love minty barber shop fragrance – Sherin Thomas from PA

  • I have never smelled any mint fragrances. I do love galbanum and moss. Sebastian’s reviews are always so good, he does such a good job at describing notes and how a perfume develops. Ivy sounds very intriguing as a note.

  • I like how Sebastian didn’t only focus on the mint, but also highlighted the ivy note. I am very interested in what the ivy brings to this fragrance as I’m not familiar with its use in perfumery. I am familiar with and enjoy mint and I absolutely love how it’s used in JPG Le Male. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

  • I’m a huge fan of mint fragrances and my favourite thing about his video was his description of the fragrance. I haven’t tried many Amouage fragrances but I have tried Myths and Memoirs and those were great. I would love to have a bottle of this one.

  • Tyler Cashman says:

I was initially put off by the name too. Another dirty marine aquatic take by a niche house? Needless to say my sample surprised me immensely. This review nails what this smells like… mint garden in a temperate coastal region. Bitter vetiver and ivy make it fuller and honestly im in love. Such a great herbal scent everyone should try. Gonna be sad when i use up my sample.

  • Bryant Worley says:

As always, Sebastian an enthusiastic review of this fragrance, and I appreciated his thoroughness in helping us to understand the overall effect that the wearer would have, as well as, what NOT to expect (i.e., ‘beachy’; ‘tropical’).

I like the note of mint in fragrances – Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Bleu de Chanel, Versace Eros, etc.

I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • I ordered a sample of this from Lucky Scent about a year ago and it was love at first sniff. I think Sebastian’s account of the fragrance was spot on, as usual, and that as far as personal tastes go, I can understand why Beach Hut Man would be polarizing. When he mentioned about it going into a barbershop-y direction, I was taken aback a bit as I never noticed it myself. I still have a little bit left so I’ll have to dab it on this evening and see if I notice the same. Thanks for the great content!

  • patrick_348 says:

As someone who has had an overgrown bed of mint that leaned over into the lawn, I loved Sebastian’s description of how it smells when the lawnmower runs over it. If that’s what this fragrance is like, I’m eager to sample it and would love to win a bottle. I do like mint fragrances, but appreciated Sebastian’s distinctions between kinds of minty aromas. In the US, in NC.

  • Oh this sounds nice. I agree about minty fragrances; they can be so great, but sometimes go toothpastey. And the description of running over all the ivy and mint with your lawnmower is delicious. That is what I am always looking for in this type of fragrance.

  • I just recieved a sample of this and royal water by creed. Both fragrances open up different but end up smelling similar in the dry down. I love them both. I appreciated the description Sebastion used with running over the mint and grass with a lawn mower. This fragrance hits you hard in the opening but settles nicely. I would love to win this fragrance. Thank you.

  • Love the mint in eros, love vetiver alot, Love the patch and myrrh. Love SAUVAGE EDP OG RELEASE 2012 I think. This should smell great. Hope it gets the chicks too.

  • Great review be sebastian, He really describes beach hut man in great detail. Very mint heavy scent. Very good note broke down of the scent. Great job!

  • I enjoyed Sebastian clearing up the fragrance profile versus what the name evokes. I do like minty fragrances but don’t think I have a mint forward fragrance, possibly except a Spanish aftershave from Myrsol that I own.

  • Hi, I am a huge fan of Amouage. I like all the perfumes of them. But cannot offord it. I like to win this perfume to keep in my collection. Your review is so good. Last time your review of Honor man, I immediately purchased it. The pink pepper smell is really unique. The after note of the honor man is also very gorgeous. I got compliments from different people.

  • Kimhorn Heng says:

Long time subscriber : I enjoy most of your review. I had sampled/smelled this fragrance and I love it a lot. Great review.

  • I liked Sebastien’s review because he seems to be trying to give a factual review. Maybe he should work for the press these days!!

  • Dean Ross Monroe says:

Would love to experience Beach Hut Man. I’ve never won anything before. So this would be a great opportunity to try this house.

  • Linda Goodwin says:

Beach Hut Man lead me here, first thought of Beach Hut Man scent was fresh salt water; the mint would be interesting.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews, and this one was no exception. I have read so many great reviews of Beach Hut Man but never had the pleasure of smelling it. It sounds like it would work well on a woman. I love the herbal, woody, spicy notes.
    I live in the US.

  • I don’t own any minty fragrances, but I do like that note. What I liked best about Sebastian’s review was how he described the smell as all of the weeds, herbs, grasses etc that got chopped up during mowing. I know exactly the smell he is describing and can very easily visualize it. Sebastian does a great job in every review of relating scents to real world experiences that we would recognize. I’m in IL, USA for the giveaway.

  • Amouage has such wonderful fragrances! I’ve heard a lot about Beach Hut Man. I’m a big fan of vetiver fragrances so I think I would love this one. USA

  • samjones791 says:

I enjoyed the review and Sebastian’s description of the fragrance as minty, green, and fougere-like!

  • I’ve been obsessed with mint as a main note in my soaps, shampoos, and body washes, so why not try it in my fragrance too? I have a dupe of Aqua Celestia Forte that I’ve been absolutely loving, but it’s just not minty enough! Maybe Beach Hut Man will be that guy for me.

  • judesis ilangilang says:

I never had a minty fragrance before. I like the notes that are associated with it especially vetiver and that musky scent, ugh. Love it. Sebastian has made a big impact in my fragrance world (in a positive way). Always on point and honest about his review. California

  • I absolutely love minty fragrances because they spark memories of my childhood when I was in the garden and constantly surrounded by that aroma. What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review was the detail in which he described Beach Hut Man. Kind regards from Illinois, USA.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s YouTube videos reviews . And in this one I liked how Sebastian described:”There really isn’t anything particularly “beachy’ about Beach Hut Man, in fact is quite green, with a realistic mint note that’s aromatic instead of smelling like toothpaste.” I’m in USA

  • Sebastian gives quality YouTube reviews of fragrances and is entertaining to watch. I liked how he described Beach Hut Man when he mentioned the lawn mowing and green smell. I actually had the same thought when smelling this fragrance and I thoroughly enjoyed the two samples I had of Beach Hut Man. Mint fragrances are some of my favorite due to the alertness they help provide.

  • I like mint frags, but it’s tough to find one that’s just right. Sebastian’s reviews and descriptions are so detailed that you can almost smell what he’s talking about without actually wearing it!

  • Great review, Sebastian!!
I love BHM very much- especially in spring and summer times. Yes, I agree it’s the one of best perfumes with ivy and with woods, a bit moss it becomes very beautiful!
    US

  • Sophisticated fragrance, with mint and vetiver in it , of course I’d love to wear such fragrance.
Love minty fragrances, just like Sebastian I’m not a fan of toothpaste kind of mint.
My experience with Amouage ?Both Journey and Fate Man are the prime examples why you should never judge the book by its cover. Both are spicy, both dry , both openings are kind of harsh. I was looking for spicy fragrance, and it was not an easy task. Both are well made , you can pick up the quality right away.Hesitation was killing me, but Journey and up in my possession.
I’m really excited for this giveaway. USA
    Regards

  • Jed P Gloger says:

I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. He’s great at describing the way the fragrance comes across as a whole instead of just reciting a list of notes. I’m a big fan of mint in fragrances, with Guerlain Homme and ELDO You or Someone Like You as a couple current favorites.

    Located in California.

  • Beach Hut Man sounds unique, and no doubt it’s shapeshifting fragrance like all Amouage fragrances I personally know. Such green and woody experience, now I’d like to try, and own it.
Jubilation XXV is a staple in my collection . Smells a bit like a mix between BlackBerry crumble traybake and BlackBerry Swirl Muffins with honey butter both with cinnamon. Can’t help it- Pastry Chef in me goes forward
I like both to cook and smell mint. “Mint” is a big umbrella for the whole plant family, that both smell and taste differently, but that’s a different topic .
Appreciate the review , and the giveaway campaign.

  • Beach Hut Woman I have smelled , but not the male counterpart.
As a woman i do love the house of Amouage , but to be honest i mostly prefer men’s versions.Reflection Men > Reflection Women , Lyric Man>Lyric Women and so on.
Own full bottles of Jubilation XXV – 100% unisex fragrance too , Journey Woman -the only one on pair with men’s version, and 10ml decant of Lilac Love-a fragrance i adore , and i do plan to get full bottle .
Yes i like minty fragrances, when the mint is mixed well with other notes, like in Beach Hut Man. Toothpaste mint i too don’t like.
    Thank you

Sebastian, with another amazing review this one of Amouage Beach Hut Man. I love green minty fragrances. Especially how he describes this one of having that real authentic and aromatic feeling for the mint in this. I would love to try this one with such a strong emphasis on the note of mint. I am from the USA.

  • IvanVelikov says:

Every time I’m thinking about Amouage, I’m thinking about it. Stunning fragrance.Happy to own it , one of the best , if not the best ever created in the incense category . Finished 3 bottles during the years , and on my 4th i alredy made a dent on 🙂
Beach Hut Man is new to me , but i like masculine green and woody, and big plus is the vetiver , one of my favorite notes.
I’m drinking mint tea at the moment, sure I like the smell of mint.
    Thanks to all

  • Herba Fresca is my fave minty fragrance. I love it in summer. Sebastian always makes me smile. “The mintiest fragrance I ever have put my nose on.” Wow. Have to smell that. Like rolling in a spearmint field. So cool. Amouage always does things differently. I’m in USA.

  • I love Sebastian’s review’s because he’s thorough and passionate. I also tend to agree with him most of the time. I love mint in fragrances, and would love to try this one.

  • I love Minty fragrances. I have some great ones and would like to add this one in my collection. What I liked about Sebastien review was the comparison with aromatic fougère style with added mint. Seems great!

  • I love the herbaceous face of mint like Eau de minthe by diptique. Sebastian always meek awesome reviews. Kansas USA

  • Another great review by Sebastian! Love the idea that Beach Hut Man seems like the perfect escape to a tropical island. Will definitely need an escape during this pandemic time. I like minty fragrances as they never fail to refresh me!
    Florida, USA

  • Hmmm why I always skip Journey Man when i’m buying samples? As a barber my love for such barbershop, minty and foamy fragrances comes naturally.
My favorite Amouage is Jubilation XXV . What a masterpiece of a fragrance. If I have to live with 4 fragrances until the rest of my life , Jubilation XXV will be one of those 4. Sebastian himself started this challenge on his YouTube channel.
As I said Jubilation XXV is on a different level. First time I’ve smelled it my eyes started rolling out.
    Thank you for the draw

  • I do love a good natural mint scent and I appreciate the, “Caution: Mint Ahead” warning from Sebastian. I think I am up for this mint challenge. I live in the USA.

  • Unique minty fragrance with resins, and vetiver.
Well hello Beach Hut Man , why I’ve not smelled you before?
Amouage fragrances are really unique. All i have smelled, you should never get without sampling first. Some could smell completely different on every person when you spaying them on skin. For example both Sunshine Men , and Reflection Man are two completely different scents on me , and on my husband. Sunshine Men is a gourmand on me , but on my hubby is dry , herbal and sour .I guess i’ll have to find out myself what I’ll get from Fate Man. By the way favorite Amouage is Sunshine Men.
Natural smelling mint fragrances i like a lot, because some could go into toothpaste direction Sebastian mentioned.
    Beautiful draw thank you.

  • Thanks to Sebastian for his review video. One of my first experiences with mint in fragrances was in the first incarnation of Le Male from JPG and that fragrance was not for me. I later found out that I just didn’t like mint mixed with vanilla and lavender, but there were other blends that I did like. To this day when I hear mint my brain automatically thinks not for me as it did for this fragrance, but Sebastian’s review has made it sound much more appealing as it seems to be missing that sweet facet that I tend to not like. Thank you for the giveaway and best of luck to everyone participating. I am from Tennessee, USA.

  • m.r.everything says:

Just like Sebastian, I am always on the lookout for the next best mint fragrance. I really enjoy mint in perfumery and another note I dig quite a bit is ivy. It is so different and unusual in perfumery, but I really like it in scents. I read about and was super interested in Beach Hut Man a few years ago when it was first being released, and remember thinking man, I need to try that one. I have yet to do so…. Sebastian has only confirmed my original thoughts of wanting to get my nose on it. I loved Michelyn’s intro, but particularly the end when she notes “Your place of serenity is not in a hut on a sun-swept sandy beach but sitting peacefully near an old house in the woods where tangles of ivy climb the brick walls.” This has set me over the edge with wanting to try it… again, it comes back to the ivy… throw in the mint and I am over the moon for it. Thank you, Sebastian, for your thoughts and take on Beach Hut Man. It was very reassuring! A big thank you to Europerfumes/Eden Square for your generosity and for this gracious opportunity! It is appreciated more than you know! Thank you, as always, to Michelyn, for putting this all together and making this happen! Without you, none of this would be possible! Also, thanks for your intro and thoughts on Beach Hut Man as you made this a clear winner for me! Sending love, gratitude, and warm wishes from Delaware, US. Good luck all and stay safe friends!

  • The name Beach Hut Man fits the fragrance very well. Not every beach should be like Hawaii, fruity and smelling like a sunscreen lotion.
I know the fragrance, and it reminds me of wild tropical beach in jungle, green full of vegetation on lost island castaway… Leans mature to me.
At the moment i do own 4 Amouage fragrances – Jubilation XXV for men – the best Amouage imo , Intelude Man also known as “The Blue Beast” , Lilac Love and Blossom Love .
I’m picky about mint fragrances, Beach Hut Man I personally like a lot.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews! I agree with him that the name is misleading, however I definitely associate minty fragrances with summertime because the mint makes it seem very refreshing, and my current favorite with mint is Phlur Añoranza. I wonder how similar they will be with the mint and the vetiver both in common. I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for the great review Sebastien. There is a huge disconnect in the concept and the name and I’m glad to hear that you touched on it.

I don’t know too many mint fragrances with the exception of Mugler, but this sounds pretty nice.

Thank you for the opportunity to be entered in this Giveaway. I love Sebastian’s reviews. He’s so down to earth with his reviews. I love how he said it smells like a barber shop and has a “foamy” shaving cream like aspect to it. So unique. And I definitely love mint fragrances. Thanks again

  • Am not usually a fan of minty fragrances due to the toothpaste association, but the way Sebastian described it make it sound quite intriguing. Thanks for the draw. I live in the USA.

Another great review by Sebastian! Minty blast and vetiver… ivy too! Sounds like a perfect summer scent! Cheers from Northern California, USA!
