Aliénor Massenet of Symrise and Clara Molloy
Creative Director Clara Malloy of Memo Paris has enjoyed a prolific and successful relationship with defacto in house perfumer Aliénor Maissenet, (now of Symrise) who she met while researching a book called 22 Perfumers. Memo's leitmotif is sense of place, memories of journeys, in fact the name Memo comes from the word memories. Marfa was inspired by Madame Malloy’s trip to Marfa, Texas, a town in the high desert. The flacon is beautiful with the Keith Haring esque blue eye seeming to wink at you (Marfa is the first in the new art collection).
Two Cowboys Looking at the Marfa Texas Prada Store Photo Gray Malin for oneskingslane.com
One of my favorite photos is a PRADA store standing like a mirage in the middle of a desolate strip of road on I 90. While I am not sure if the cowboys are just gawking or thinking of buying Prada boots;there are rumors. I think they would smell great wafting Marfa. Tuberose seems to be having a moment this year and this is one that easily can be worn by men. Contributor Sebastian Jara of the YouTube Channel Looking Feeling Smelling Great, and founder of a popular Facebook Group reviews Memo Marfa
