New Fragrance: Thierry Mugler Alien Eau Extraordinaire Launches at Saks Fifth Avenue in the USA

2014 marks the latest addition to Thierry Mugler Beauty Alien perfume franchise… Alien Eau Extraordinaire. Created by the original noses of the 2005 iconic scent Alien, Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyere of IFF, Alien Eau Extraordinaire is a new twist on the original; with the addition of tiare flower, Tunisian neroli, a Italian bergamot tea,  as well as cashmeran, white amber (the signature note for Alien) and heliotrope. Alien Eau Extraordinaire will  launch exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue for the month of March, before rolling out to a broader distribution including 900 doors and online in April.

Eaux de parfum will be retailed in two sizes — 2 oz. for $69 and 3 oz. for $89. The flacon is crystalline and faceted which expresses the lighter side of the iconic fragrance . It is already available at Saks online in a refillable 60ml and  90 ml/ $69-$89 respectively. Clarins USA, the distributor of Thierry Mugler Fragrances will be celebrating in March and I am looking forward to attending the event in New York City.

 Note: According to a Company Executive, the sales for Alien is now keeping pace with Angel worldwide.

    Lovely bottle, and although they are kind of preaching to the converted with their flankers, I must admit that tiare flower and neroli sound very appealing!

    alien is a strange bird (no pun intended) — and this sounds like it could be even stranger (all those additional plush notes! maybe it’s something along the lines of ropion’s fleur de cassie for malle?)another strange bird, that.) bottle is lovely, and if i come across it i will give it a try for sure.

    Nooo, the Saks 5th Avenue just closed in Orlando so I won’t be able to test it first! Alien is my signature fragrance, along with all of the flankers!
