Last year, one of the highlights of Esxence –The Art of Scent in Milan, was the international competition of young olfactive artists competing to create the “Scent of Excense”. The competition was won by Alex Lee of Mane for Etoilegance, composed with Sarocaulan Mossamedenis, a plant from Nambia that is very new to the perfumers' palette. Alex is on his way to becoming a young maitre parfumeur and has moved to the Paris office of Mane.
So what perfume bottle will house Etoilegance? The success of a fragrance is often tied to its aesthetic presentation and acts as a tangible continuation of the story the scent. This year Esxence 2014 has a competition for young designers to create a flacon which will be judged for its creativity, construction and harmony with Etoilegance. If you are a designer and would like to enter this contest, you can find the rules and get the information for submission here.
