What if wearing a perfume became a call for action?
In September 2013, Gérald Ghislain, creator of Histoires de Parfums will launch his first charity-oriented fragrance dedicated to empowering children around the world. This has been a two year process for M Ghislain. It started the day he decided to follow his belief: children are the future but need help now…He felt the urge to design a new perfume, as a medium to express his faith in children and in helping them.
His goal is to raise $50,000 with the first limited edition of Make Perfume Not War. A thousand numbered bottles will be for sale online only, at the same price as any other Histoires de Parfums fragrances, and for each bottle sold.
All Charities will be chosen for their aim at improving children’s lives. When buying a bottle of Make Perfume Not War, customers will be able to choose between five different causes: education, art, sport, technology and microcredit. Make Perfume Not War wants to improve children’s life in many different ways: from bikes that guide the way to school, to new facilities; from helping mothers businesses to building playground.
M Ghislain will give $50 to a charity of your choice. On November 20th, 2013, to celebrate the Children’s Rights Day, the first and last bottle will be auctioned off, all money collected during the event will go to these charities.
