finalists

We are excited to announce  the Winner of the The Scent of Esxence – 5 Years of Excellence contest for young perfumers is Etoilegance,  by Alexander (Alex) Lee.   Alex's creation, a fruity oriental, was inpired by starlight…and was composed with Sarocaulan  Mossamedenis, a plant from Nambia, that is very new to the perfumers' palette— it is known as Bushsman's candle for the light it gives off when the stems are burned. Congrats also to Cristiano Canali's Magnolia Esxentialis, for the Critics Award, and to Sarah Grivot's Stella, for the Noses Awards.

At CaFleureBon we have been following Alex since he was a student at the ISIPCA, so in his honor  please read our interview "An American in Paris" dated  March 30, 2009… that was one week since CaFleureBon's debuted its first post
