Juliette has a Gun Powder Love by Olya Bar
After spending a full week wrapped in Juliette has a Gun Powder Love, I can confidently say this might be my favorite release from the brand to date. It won’t be a universal crowd-pleaser and that’s precisely its charm. You must be a true devotee of powder to appreciate this one, because it is unmistakably POWDERY. A full-on soft-focus haze from the very first spritz.
Like many creations from the house, Powder Love leans feminine in its expression, though anyone who gravitates toward the sensual, the soft, the ethereal will find something to adore here. If your aesthetic lives somewhere between the clean girl era and ballerina core, with a touch of nostalgic dreaminess, this fragrance fits right into that world.
At its heart, Juliette has a Gun Powder Love feels like a tender recollection of childhood comforts. Airy marshmallow, sugared almond, and a billowing cloud of powdery musk float together in a delicate, weightless embrace. The pink matte glass bottle signals exactly what awaits: cotton candy whispers, marshmallow softness, and a pastel fantasy made wearable, like a satin ribbon tied around a ballet slipper.

Juliette Has a Gun has always demonstrated a sharp instinct for where the market’s attention is drifting, and this release is no exception. It’s already resonating with creators and fragrance lovers who are leaning into softness, escapism, and comfort as the new luxury.
On my skin, Powder Love is an ethereal veil, soft, sensual, and soothing. If it had a texture, it would be a giant cashmere scarf, the kind that cocoons you against the world and instantly lowers your shoulders two inches. It opens with a slight freshness before surrendering to its powdered heart, which takes center stage in the dry down. A hint of soapiness, a gentle trail, and a presence that lingers like a memory.

While the market has been flooded with marshmallow-forward releases in recent years, many drift too far into sticky gourmand territory for my taste. Powder Love strikes a different chord. It truly smells like pressing a marshmallow between your fingers, feeling the sugary dust cling to your skin, sweet, soft, and delightfully tactile. And if I had to give it a color, it would unquestionably be pink.
A beautifully timed release for the colder season, when we all crave an extra layer of comfort. Juliette has a Gun Powder Love delivers exactly that, an intimate, powder-dusted cocoon you may not want to leave.
Notes: Marshmallow, Cotton Candy, Sugared Almond, Orange Blossom, Tonka, Ambroxan, Powdery Musk.
