Badar Parfums has made a stunning return with the remarkable duo of Flair Paris perfumers Margaux Le Paih-Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois, teamed together to unveil the brand’s fourth creation, the delicious Rouge Éclat. This exquisite fragrance lives up to its name, glowing in an array red tones that guide us through a sensuous experience filled with magnificent florals and creamy woods and medjool dates enrobed in silk.

Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat opens with a deep fruitiness, reminiscent of candied dates with a rich cherry liquor that feels fresh, bright and instantly gives you that rouge colour of the name. It’s super smooth with deep red with a lovely soft body with just enough weight to make it feel sensual from the get go. Yet has this sort easy breeziness as the citruses sparkle over the dates. Something about its scent makes me think of Christmas, that’s the time of year I consume dates more than usual as I splash on the rather beautiful plump Medjool dates that feel present here. As you wear Rouge Éclat it has an elegant sweeping movement of red silk, long and graceful,  the same way someone with grandeur moves. Iris enhances the silky feel with things getting delicious and creamy as Rouge Éclat unfolds.

Rouge Eclat by Badar Parfums

Apricot and peach combine with the dates giving Rogue Éclat complex depth and a lighter playful essence. As it dries down, it becomes creamier, transitioning to a milky smoothness that feels thick like a milkshake, imparting a voluptuous sensation to the silkiness of the iris, allowing Rouge Éclat to drape its candied dates and fruits over you like glowing gems. It glides with some subtle soft spices as saffron starts to peak through with a deep rich woody vanilla glinting with ambers giving a darker richness. But that’s for later. Rouge Éclat unfolds at a beautiful slow pace on my skin, its feels as if the dates from the opening have become opened and smoothed out into this delicious weight of dark red silk. It’s creamy and rich with sun flickering and highlighting its folds as it’ adorns your body. Iris takes the for me here, I love how it works with the fruits while setting the stage for the creamy sandalwood and vanilla. Osmanthus when it’s arrived shines. It pulls Rouge Éclat deeper swirling it with a fresher floral yellow plum note with mouthwatering honeyed floral feel. It’s as if the sun has emerged and illuminated t gorgeous red silk. The interplay of the osmanthus and iris is gorgeous, giving me flashbacks to vintage Jean Patou 1000; but rather than herbal greens these sensual florals are wrapped up in a delicious silky contemporary gourmand feel, one that’s addictive.

Margaux Le Paih-Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois have composed this Parfum extrait in a way where materials and notes fade into each other from open to close, then glide over each other dancing and giving Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat a remarkable grace. Notes are foreshadowed with their melodies weaving through the ones that came before enriching and complementing them while subtle expanding the original. A gorgeous honeyed note captures the mouthwatering intensity of the Medjool dates while continuing the silky feel turning it into a glowing red hue. Saffron too picks up on this silkiness and from the osmanthus adding some silver stitching to the silks.

Sandalwood enhances that creaminess felt from the start while giving a skin like feel for the seductive silks to slide across. Ambroxan’s cosy muskiness envelops your body as you wear it enticing others, letting the rest of the notes work their magic in the air around you. Vanilla has been there for a while, adding a rich creaminess that leans more into a deep amber conjuring the darker hues of the dates inner flesh. Rouge Éclat’s gourmand side is beautifully balanced and refined; its sweetness has enough darker elements to make you feel like you’re dining at a high-class Parisian patisserie, while the florals giving it a soft elegance and that iris osmanthus combination is one I can’t get enough of. Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat has knocked Estelle off Badar Parfums’s No.1 spot for me. Utterly beautiful.

Notes: Date, Pink berries extract, Bergamot essence, Red mandarin essence, Grapefruit, Mandora essence, Candied fruits, Osmanthus absolute, Solar note, Milk, Iris, Sandalwood, Amber, Vanilla, Saffron, Honey, Ambroxan

Disclosure: Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat was sent to J for review, thoughts and nose are his own.

Ever since Badar was flea tired in best of 2024 posts I was very interested in getting my nose on these fragrances. Rouge Eclat sounds so complex and elegant. But the fact that it reminds J of vintage Jean Patou 1000 was what made me write a comment and participate in this giveaway! Cheers from Illinois, US.

  • I really love the notes, spices and fruits combined into a beautiful scent. Also, I’ve never encountered dates in a perfume, so that intrigues me.
J’s review is just beautiful, describing the stages of notes and how they intertwine. The part I liked the most is “As you wear Rouge Éclat it is giving an elegant sweeping movement of red silk, a long graceful sweep, the same way someone with grandeur moves.” “It’s as if the sun has emerged and illuminated t gorgeous red silk.”

A gourmand with some fruity and milky touches? Sign me up! I learned about Badar Parfums here at CaFleureBon and each new release seems to be hitting it out of the park. If memory serves me well, Margaux Le Paih-Guérin has composed all of them thus far and I know she has been a very prolific perfumer giving us gems. This sounds like an absolutely stunning, silky dream of a fragrance and I’d love to try it at some point. I’m located in the USA.

Months have passed, but i still try to adjust to niche perfumery, and niche style of reviews on Cafleurebon.
Margaux Le Paih Guérin , Amélie Bourgeois and J Wearescentient were able to trick my imagination into thinking of Medjool dates, luxury desserts where the sweetness and boldness are perfectly dosed and compounded to alluring stone fruits and vanilla.

“Margaux Le Paih-Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois have composed this Parfum extrait in a way where materials and notes fade into each other from open to close, then glide over each other dancing and giving Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat a remarkable grace.”
By all means YES to what J Wearescentient stated , eye-opening and zealous review and one spectacular fragrance like Rouge Éclat
Warm thanks to Margaux Le Paih Guérin, Amélie Bourgeois , J Wearescentient, Cafleurebon and Badar Parfums.

What an intriguing review! I’ve never had the opportunity to try Badar Parfums, so this would be a beautiful beginning of the journey!
J’s description of Rouge Éclat completely captivated me, this mix of dates, candied fruits, iris, honey, milk, osmanthus and saffron sounds absolutely magical! The way it unfolds with Fruits,Dates with the creaminess of Sandalwood, and the combo of Iris and Osmanthus creates such an alluring vibe. Especially the part that Iris enhances the silky feel with things getting delicious and creamy as Rouge Éclat unfolds. The balance between playful sweetness and grounding depth makes this sound like something truly special, incredibly complex and rich fragrance.
Thank you for introducing us to this creation and the generous giveaway!

I love top quality Medjool dates , milk, sandalwood with candied fruits , and from Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat I’m anticipating spectacular fragrance, something I’ve never encountered before.
J Wearescentient revealed a lot , from the almost mysterious opening with candied dates and cherry liquor , to the exceptional  sandalwood and iris,  and last but not least how Rouge Éclat is wrapped in deep amber veil , Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois made the new Badar Parfums fragrance so addictive and rich , not an easy task I believe.
Thanks to Margaux Le Paih , Amélie Bourgeois, Badar Parfums , J Wearescentient and best of luck to all participants

J Wearescentient article i find captivating for its vivid imagery and evocative descriptions of different kinds . In his own way he intertwined Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat delicious fruity,   floral,  woody and spicy journey with a Parisian pastry , Christmas and elegance . J convinced me that the warm gourmand facets in Rouge Éclat , silky iris and osmantus and the opulent saffron scent are fused together in a truly immersive experience.

  • Interesting notes I assumed were more feminine in appeal, so I headed over to Fragrantica and wouldn’t you know it. The census so far is equally split on the scent appealing to men and women. I am know genuinely curious to sample. I’m in the US.

  • Frozen.Eyes says:

Remarkably enjoyable article , bravo to J Wearescentient
So smooth deep red feeling,  candied dates and vanilla in addition to plum …. Then throw in that quality iris and  Australian sandalwood and I just know this is heavenly. I need Badar Parfums Sandal Rouge Éclat now lol. Little while back i bought another gourmand from Margaux Le Paih Guérin called Dirty Heaven / BORNTOSTANDOUD , and because J Wearescentient said how the vanilla is adding a rich creaminess that leans into a deep amber in Rouge Éclat,  conjuring the darker hues of the dates inner flesh I feel tempted once again.
    Appreciate the chance – EU

    Thanks for the great writeup.
I really liked reading about the use of osmanthus and iris in this fragrance, as a contrast to the sweeter elements in the fragrance.

    Would love to sample/try this.

Rouge Eclat sounds elegant and beautiful. I enjoy Estelle it is a sophisticated gourmand scent and my introduction to Badar. The Carmel note is well done. I am interested in Rouge Eclat for a few reasons. The first being the quality of Badar fragrances. They are beautifully blended with great projection. Rouge Eclat sounds unique with different layers, the reviewer talks about the olfactory journey going from date to iris then creamy sandalwood and vanilla. The other reason I’m so intrigued is that J states Rouge Eclat knocked Estelle out of the number 1 scent from the house and Estelle is captivating. I am really excited to try this fragrance. I’m in Pennsylvania USA

I like the more thoughtful overall experience I just had. I learned about Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat distinct and complex scent , starting cherry liquor and candied dates , peaches and apricots and forward with enticing aromas like saffron , plum and delicious vanilla.
My personal final flourish is the harmony Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois were able to achieve between between tasty , dark and seductive elements.
I am a gourmand and elegant fragrances lover and Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat appeals to me greatly
Thank you very much , EU

What I just read was not just a refined and detailed read , but some unique stories with guilty cherry liquor and Medjool dates pleasures, refined craftsmanship , milk and sandalwood, but Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois gourmand and flirtatious dreams turned into reality , and I’m loving it.
What I enjoyed overall are the two tones of the “Glowing Red Silk” giveaway , the older reads with Margaux Le Paih Guérin life and career retrospectives , and J Wearescentient introduction to Rouge Éclat , both grabbed my attention right away .
I love good and sophisticated strong gourmands , finest quality iris and sandalwood , all i can find in Rouge Éclat i also love happy , dedicated and not overly pretentious people like Margaux Le Paih Guérin , the whole experience of the two articles is like a medley of both. I enjoyed the way the two perfumer made one unbelievable aroma in a unique , yet so cozy and daring at the same time way

I feel like Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat is so sophisticated, perfectly suited fragrance for formal occasions but because of the dark and sweet tempting trail also for clubbing, maybe even dates. I have a feeling Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois had a plan to make a complex fruity-floral dark and a bit daring gourmand fragrance , and result could be seen through every single aspect of the J Wearescentient review.
Not sorely because I feel attracted to the Medjool dates , all the fruits, and sandalwood I actually enjoy the whole thing, the iris , saffron and that rouge color sexy wink .
I had a great time, thank you

  • The vivid imagery of Rouge Éclat’s silky, gourmand blend of candied dates, iris, osmanthus, and creamy sandalwood, evoking a luxurious red silk experience, captivates me. The interplay of sweet fruits, elegant florals, and rich amber sounds addictive and sophisticated. I live in Poland, EU.

  • All the fruits I love Apricots, peaches and medjool dates yum.. sensual florals, creamy sandalwood, cozy amberoxan, truly sounds utterly beautiful.

  • The candied fruits and milkshake-thick creaminess sounds delightful. The description of the “voluptuous” silkiness of this fragrance makes me want to try it it! I am in USA.

  • hide_and_seek says:

Rouge Éclat sounds great, I’m fascinated by the love affair between the delicious vanilla , deep rich fruitiness and Medjool dates from one angle, the sensual iris , sandalwood and milk ot the second angle, and the more daring saffron on another.
J Wearescentient pointed out that the everything is blended really well leading to a brilliant woody , fruity and floral delicious cloud , there’s a theory that opposites attract and Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois work is the evidence.
The intricate layering of palatable and edgy , spicy and floral notes , plus the beautiful melody with red silk rhythm narrative do make Rouge Éclat sound enchanting and multifaceted.
    Thanks a lot EU

  • I’m glad Badar Parfums owners didn’t miss their chances to work with Flair , so we can enjoy spectacular fragrances like Rouge Éclat.
Margaux Le Paih Guérin character and everything she went through all is pointing out to her noble and full of energy way of doing things.
I’m hardly ever super impressed by a fruity and floral ambers , but a scent of Australian sandalwood, glamorous Medjool dates, vanilla with iris a freshly baked Parisian dessert spin description of Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat grabbed my attention right away.
I’m new to Margaux Le Paih Guérin fragrances, thanks for interview with Michelyn Camen, and J Wearescentient reviews of Rouge Éclat, Sandal Rice, Sinaï and Estelle. Thanks for the giveaway as well.

  • I decided to share my takeaway about Margaux Le Paih Guérin life cycles first from Michelyn’s interview first, since it’s important to me

“Every day, I am in contact with inspiring and stimulating people. I am trusted, which makes me even more motivated to give my all for my company. This sense of accomplishment drives me to push my limits and strive for excellence in everything I do. Being surrounded by such a positive and supportive environment has transformed my professional and personal growth.”

And from the current article with J

“As you wear Rouge Éclat it is giving an elegant sweeping movement of red silk, a long graceful sweep, the same way someone with grandeur moves”
I’m currently preparing for my 8 for the year craft exhibition in Madrid , and as artisan myself, I’m a leather arts craft woman i can’t even describe how overjoyed I felt today after reading once again about Margaux Le Paih Guérin life cycles. Crafting always brings joy to the artist no questions asked. We share a lot of common objectives and principles, Margaux Le Paih Guérin and I .
Of course other than the previous articles i also enjoyed J Wearescentient experiences with Rouge Éclat , a bit dark but comforting gourmand , directly influenced by the Medjool dates and Parisian high-class patisserie nature. Not just the great smelling aroma with candied fruits and vanilla , there’s also sandalwood and different floral temptations , it’s almost like Rouge Éclat is part of a fantasy story.
    Much appreciated, EU

  • Logic.vs.Emotion says:

Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat captivated my interest. With the assistance of J Wearescentient i can tell the use of Medjool dates , osmantus and iris here is expertly applied by Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois, giving Rouge Éclat a few fruity and floral edges. I’m keen on the sandalwood and saffron too and the way they all give Rouge Éclat a richness J can’t get enough of.
I’m down with the idea of such smooth and alluring fragrances . I acknowledge J Wearescentient fine work and I’d like to say I’m thankful for the chance. EU

dates are not a note i see often… although i can imagine how it plays nice with apricots/peaches. all are technically stone fruits after all! the notes list does sound a bit chaotic, but j’s review reassures me that there is method to the madness, so to speak. perfumes that have a scent journey (aka that aren’t linear) are so much fun and rouge eclat definitely sounds worth sampling for that alone, at the very least!

    thanks from the USA

    Howdies from Germany
I’m very much picky in terms of woody and gourmand fragrances , and especially those that combine the two genres.
J Wearescentient assessment of Badar Parfums Rouge Éclat brought me back to my childhood when grandma used to bake different plum and dates pastries a couple of times per week , and me and grandpa were making tea , great times I miss a lot.
I became instantly attracted to the comforting gourmand smell of Rouge Éclat together with carefully selected by Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois other deeper and darker shades like the saffron and sandalwood . I really like the dance between delicious and daring.
When I buy new niche fragrance the quality should be outstanding, and the with certain level of uniqueness , I’m definitely impressed.
Sum total i love the whole J Wearescentient read , and I’d also love to win a bottle of Rouge Éclat
    Thank you

Not sure how you’re doing it, but you keep releasing pristine quality articles one after another.
Margaux Le Paih Guérin at it once again , she’s on a roll , as well as all of her colleagues from FLAIR. After reading up on her background in the Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief interview, and how the young draws inspiration from daily life , willing to take ambitious projects and how she feels fulfilled at FLAIR i believe promising days lie ahead of her.
I’m aware of Margaux Le Paih Guérin because of fragrances she made for a brand by the name of BORNTOSTANDOUD, and now thanks to your blog and J Wearescentient I’m enthusiastic about Rouge Éclat and Badar Parfums as a whole.
The new fragrance co-created with Amélie Bourgeois is woody and sweet bouquet done right. I’ve always been favorable to iris , sandalwood and plum , although never experienced Medjool dates as a note , but here It gives the gourmand a beautiful new spin , nice work . From EU
    Thanks a bunch

  • Wow what a write up! This one sounds absolutely lush. This part especially grabbed me though. “Osmanthus when it’s arrived shines. It pulls Rouge Éclat deeper swirling it with a fresher floral yellow plum note with mouthwatering honeyed floral feel.” I looove Osmanthus when it’s a changling like that. This fragrance sounds divine. I’m in the USA, thank you for the generous giveaway.

  • Captivating reads , no mistake I even read the latest one by J Wearescentient twice in a row , no joke.
I can’t help but to be impressed how Margaux Le Paih Guérin was able to achieve so much by his rather young age. She’s eager to acquire knowledge and to improve, to become better and better. I can easily tell she loves her work and her hobbies, all those drama free habits are the compound interests of self-improvement.
I’m exposed to niche perfumery but not yet to Badar Parfums , and i can’t help but to be impressed how the owners of the brand gave Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois a platform to create a very special gourmand fragrance with frangipani, iris , honey , milk , plums , cherry liquor , sandalwood and different hints of darkness.
Other than wanting to win the contemporary high-end Badar Parfums fragrance called Rouge Éclat , I’d also love to visit Flair lab in Paris, sounds like fun
