In the world of perfumery, François Hénin of Jovoy is known as the “Ambassador” of Niche. If you are looking for a rare or hard-to-find artistic perfume, chances are Jovoy Parfums Rares stocks the one you covet, including 19 from the Jovoy Paris brand and 13 from his Jeroboam collection. François Hénin opened his first boutique in Paris, on 4 Rue Castiglione in 2010, coincidentally, the same year we started ÇaFleureBon. I’ve learned so much but the thing I enjoy the most is hearing from the perfumer themselves as they explain the inspiration for their fragrance.     When it comes to Jovoy fragrances, I haven’t tried any! There are one ore 2 on my radar (Conduit St. and Fire at Will) but I’ve yet to experience the house. Now, onto the best part…

    What does ÇaFleureBon mean to me? Well it means quite a bit, both intellectually, and emotionally.

    Where else can one go to read truly in depth, unbiased, imaginative, descriptive and useful reviews of little-known fragrances? Where else can you learn about fragrances and fragrance houses that don’t get the shine that the bigger budgeted and marketed fragrance houses get?

    And where else can you interact with and read the thoughts of people who share this hobby in a way that is free of conflict, ego and combative unecessary trolling? ÇaFleureBon is a place unlike any other, in my opinion. And a site I come to daily, not simply for the giveaways or the competitions, but truly to see and read about fragrances that I wouldn’t have heard of otherwise.

ÇaFleureBon was one of three blogs and online magazines that helped me realise the huge expanse of the fragrant world and the reviews have been a huge stimulus to my olfactory imagination.     I only came to know CaFleureBon in the capacity that I know them today about 3 years ago but I do know they have been around for many years (almost as long as I’ve lived in the US). Congratulations to these amazing 15 years and to 15 more! CaFleureBon is my source to find out about new releases, rare and hard to find indie fragrances but also a way for me to learn more about perfumers and what they’re like. Very in-depth articles about specific fragrances and all the contributors give their POV for us to enjoy. I own Psychedelique which is a patchouli bomb and a winter staple for me (a patchouli masterpiece) but I am dying to try the entire collection, specifically Fire At Will since vanilla is my favorite note.     I love the Jovoy boutiques. I have only ordered online from the Parisian one and it was a very positive experience. I’ve been in the London boutique in Mayfair once and bought some nice perfumes there. It is a multibrand store so they sell other brands too. Regarding their own perfume brand Jovoy – I have tried Private Label and find it an outstanding masterpiece by Cecile Zarokian with papyrus note. I would like to experience the whole collection.

    ÇaFleureBon for me is a great place to learn about new interesting releases in the world of niche perfumery. The reviews are written in a very interesting, poetic and descriptive manner, so I enjoy those a lot. I discovered the blog 3 years ago and read it daily.

I have discovered so many amazing brands by reading your reviews and posts. I discovered ÇaFleureBon very early in my fragrance journey and I remember winning some samples and a small Tauer bottle in a giveaway. I was so happy and I still have that small bottle! I have sampled only a few Jovoy fragrances (like Psychédélique and Incident Diplomatique) so far and they are really good!     Walking into Jovoy in Paris is like waking into Victoria and Albert Museum in London, you’ll be fascinated by the sheer amount of elaborate fragrance brands, just like in Victoria and Albert Museum by the amount of elaborate jewelry from all over the world. I can say the same thing about Cafleurebon too .

    “According to a brand spokesperson there are now seven Jovoy locations- one in Paris, one in London, one in Dubai and four in Qatar.”

    What about Jovoy Le Mans ? I was there recently, and bought Jovoy Pavillion Rouge.
    I like how Ms Camen spoke of Jovoy , François Henin long lasting memories of Cafleurebon and their partnership .
    Cafleurebon is inviting and relaxing fragrance blog , and to my liking there’s a variety of different fragrances , and reviews are always made by exceptional contributors.
    I used to live in Paris up until recently, and I still visit once a month , of course I’m aware of Jovoy boutique, and Jovoy and Jeroboam . I bought multiple fragrances from them, almost all in person, as well as 5 x Jovoy, and 1 x Jeroboam , 5 of which from Jovoy Paris and 1 from Jovoy Le Mans . N1 is Incident Diplomatique

    I’m a big Jeroboam fan with 3 in my possession Insulo , Gozo and Ambra, Jovoy fragrances i still haven’t smelled. I’m actually quite curious what differentiates the two brands other than the fact all Jeroboam fragrances are created by Vanina Muracciole , but when it comes to Jovoy Francois Henin also works with other perfumers.
    I like how you included extra information about which fragrances are included in Jovoy Dream Box , and your shared 15th anniversary landmark.
    Just by reading Francois Henin and Michelyn Camen thoughts i visualized the exact same moment when you met for the first time.

    First I decided to share my favorite Jovoy memory since I really like Aqua Memorabilis , not just the great smelling aroma with the succulent clementines and woods, it’s also sophisticated and long lasting.
    We share a lot of common objectives and principles, Francois Henin , Michelyn Camen and I , as Artisan myself, I’m a leather arts craft woman I’m overjoyed of his creativity and how everything sums up nicely for Jovoy and Cafleurebon .

    I enjoy greatly Jovoy Paris friendly approach towards everyone who enter the boutique . I had the pleasure of visiting the Summer of 23′ , no one was pushing me to buy and I received recommendations by the sales associates only when I asked for a sophisticated boozy fragrance with tobacco. After smelling maybe a dozen i end up buying Jovoy own Pavillion Rouge.
    Everything in the new Dream Box is on its own place, the presentation , the variety , performance , the whole Jovoy Paris catalog.

    Oh, wow, what an incredible give away! Well, honestly, First and foremost, CaFleureBon is such a great place to find out about fragrances, explore scent experience and hear about new releases. I’m also constantly finding out about ones I missed the first time around or Houses I’ve never heard from. And the chance to win scent I’ve never gotten to experience is always magic. I visit CaFleureBon all the time. I live in the US and have sampled many Jovoy loves, though Rouge Assasin has been one of my all time favorites to date.     Just like Michael Jordan in basketball In our beloved fragrance world Jovoy Paris boutique is THE GOAT boutique , the epitome of niche knowledge and service like no other.François Henin i had the absolute blast of meeting at Paris Jovoy boutique.

    I (genuinely) love you Michelyn , but as a fragrance nurd with strong memory I’d like to say there are actually 19 Jovoy fragrances currently available , and 13 by Jeroboam.
    The Dream Box includes 16 fragrances , the 3 not included are the two Extraits Jus Interdit and Sombres Dessins , and my personal favorite Jovoy Les Jeux Sont Faits (EDT) . There are 13 Jeroboam fragrances in total, since there are two Gozo versions, Gozo and Gozo Lab Edition.
    I’m familiar with all Jovoy fragrances and my favorite ones are :
    1. Les Jeux Sont Faits
    2. Pavillion Rouge
    3. Psychedelique/Fire at Will

    There’s a reason Jovoy and Cafleurebon are respected by fragrance enthusiasts. I can’t help but to be impressed how both Michelyn and Francois Henin were able to achieve so much , to me both should be considered the “ambassadors of niche” .

    I’ve been reading Cafleurebon for almost a year, and in that time, my fragrance knowledge has exploded. It’s all thanks to the Cafleurebon team and Michelyn’s unwavering consistency in providing these articles. Every member of the team has their own personal take and taste, and I can look forward every day to something new and exciting. I also really appreciate the relationship with Steven G, aka Redolessence, as I’ve learned much from his reviews.     The 15 years of scouting and discovering talent observations by Francois were very evocative and made me a bit nostalgic for the days of 10+ years ago , when I for the first time stumbled across niche perfumery.     ÇaFleureBon means always reading quality reviews of both new and “old” perfumes. It means discovering recent launches but also ultra-niche brands that are nowhere to be found on this half of this world, but still manage to capture my attention and imagination. It definitely is a part of the reason why niche and artistic perfumery is as widespread as it is right now, and I love it! I only sampled La liturgie des heures by Jovoy and being a incense lover I instantly fell in love. I also tried something at Exsence last year but honestly I don’t believe is the right place to evaluate perfumes, the air being saturated with different fragrances. Anyway, Jovoy for me is another word for french perfumery, that has always meant class and sophistication and I would love to try them all.

    Growing up in an urban city on the East Coast of the US, I wasn’t exposed to haute perfumery at all. The little exposure I had to fragrance was a gift set of mini travel bottles of classics like Horizon, Drakkar Noir, and Polo Green. My grandfather used Old Spice and Brut. I had a signature along the way, as I grew older, into teens, 20s, and 30s. In my 40s, the fragrance industry opened its arms to me by happenstance. First, through YouTube influencers, then through publications such as Cafleurebon. I owe the entire staff and site itself a debt of gratitude for the ability to learn and experience this art and science.     I have been reading Cafleurbon for years now and I appreciate the quality reviews, the emphasis on the sensory experience and the pure artistry of fragrance. I love how relaxing it is to sit down with a cup of coffee and read an article, and I really prefer Cafleurbon’s slow-form blog post magazine style of content over the more common flashy short video type of review. I also really love the inclusion of pictures.
    Cafleurbon keeps me up-to-date with the fragrance community and I’m often inspired by the creativity showcased here (as well as adding many, many fragrances to my try list!). Congratulations on 15 years of journalism!

    As for Jovoy, I’d very much like to visit one of their boutiques one day, they seem like such an interesting blend of classic French and modern style.     Congratulations on your anniversary! I proudly claim to be a very early reader of Cafleurebon, and I’m so happy it is still going strong. A highlight of my writing escapades was to be included as a writer for Dallas happenings a couple of times! I guess I’m old school, but I just can’t watch all the youtube reviews. Steven is an exception, as he seems to respect people’s time and doesn’t blather on forever, but some will talk about one perfume for thirty minutes. Who has that kind of time? Anyway, I love being able to keep up with what is new out there, and judge whether I might want to try it. Ten years ago it was possible to keep up with the main new releases in the perfume world, but no more! Cafleurebon is the first place I turn to read about perfume releases. Thank you for always being there. I am not too familiar with Jovoy, but have tried Remember Me, such a pretty name, and I enjoyed the warm spices and vanilla notes.     To me Cafleurebon often feels like my childhood memories are bottled up , a place where reviews are vivid and full of positive energy.
    Francois Henin is also built differently , happy and dedicated plus he also likes to surround himself with people who have the same or similar values just like Michelyn Camen. The long time partnership between the two is admirable.

    Jovoy Paris is by far the best fragrance boutique i’ve ever been to-no US boutique comes even remotely close , or it will ever be , and I believe Jovoy Mayfair , Le Mans, Dubai and Qatar are all following the footsteps of the older and more experienced sibling.
    Smelling both good and unique is a must , at least for me , that’s why I love how Cafleurebon , year after year always creates deeply personal fragrance experiences for its loyal subscribers. Happy Anniversary 🙂

    The box is truly a dream. I am fortunate my local shop carries some Jovoy, so I have been able to smell a few of these. The bonus is getting to select the 100 ml later…… so generous.     I’m keen on Cafleurebon not sorely because of the multiple sophisticated fragrances and reviews I can find here , that’s the bonus but not the main reason.
    What actually matters to me is the individuality of every single author, and metaphysical characteristics of most articles.
    The images of Francois Henin and the big black box with 16 mini bottles are also big parts of the overall 15th Anniversary image you painted so well together.
    The only Jovoy fragrance I smelled i also own , the spectacular Psychedelique. Cheers from UK

    It’s interesting that Cafleurebon and Jovoy I discovered around the same time ~ 6-7 years ago , Remember Me and Private Label are in my possession now. Between the two I’d say I slightly prefer Private Label , the booziness is so strong on my skin, it’s so dry i absolutely love it.
    What I like the most on Cafleurebon is that the variety of brands and styles is massive . Doesn’t matter if i’m looking for a good fresh , spicy , aromatic , floral or dessert like gourmand you always got me covered.
    All Jovoy fragrances are special, I had Incident Diplomatique and Private Label in the past but I finished both. Currently I own Remember Me.

    Cafleurebon has been a great discovery for me a number of years ago now. I love learning about new releases and older ones, even vintage, and they cover all sorts. I enjoy how the writers bring the scents to life and paint a picture for us to somewhat understand whether this is something we may or may not like, but either way may want to sample at least. I’ve not tried any Jovoy fragrances yet, but would very much like to, Fire At Will and Musc Pallas being two id very much love to try along with a number of others. Thanks for the very generous draw!     Jovoy i strongly associate with Pavillion Rouge and Aqua Memorabilis and I’d like to discover the other 14 in the Dream Box.
    For well established business owners who achieved so much , to my liking Michelyn Camen and Francois Henin are not pounding their chests like a lot of other business people do. The two just dream big while being modest and respectful and I’m loving it.

    is timeless , I’d never get tired of reading different stories and takes on sophisticated fragrances. As a Classically trained in Paris Pastry Chef I can tell you guys know how to cook and evoke a sense of warmth , often sprinkled with different delights 😉
    I do have a few favorite Jovoy fragrances:
    ☆ Fire At Will smells like classical Almond Flour Vanilla Cake , with toasted Brown sugar , and Raw almonds on top .
    ☆ Incident Diplomatique is special occasions only perfume.

At the beginning of my fragrance journey I didn’t understand how one could read a review of a fragrance and understand the composition, but as I read more and more review on this site, and sampled more and more fragrances it has become the first place I will go to learn about a fragrance. And some of the reviews are just such beautiful pieces of literary heaven, this book nerd is in absolute heaven reading them. ÇaFleureBon has also introduced me to so many houses I would have never heard of or tried. Fire at Will is my favorite Jovoy perfume however I have not sampled many.     Reading the reviews and stories here have beautifully driven home idea that scent is about more than just smelling “good”– it’s about memory, mood, and self-expression.
    I love scents that feel indulgent and textured, so from JOVOY PARIS on opposite ends, I’ve loved Musc Pallas/Rouge Assassin and Gardez Moi and also L’Enfant Terrible/Sombres Dessins and La Liturgie des Heures. L’Arbre de la Connaissance and Remember Me are favorites 🙂

I was immediately hooked by the mix of references, the full 5-senses pictures that the reviews paint. Since then, I’ve followed the blog and participated in some giveaways.     I actually remember discovering the Jovoy Boutique in Paris and feeling charmed by its elegance and its selection of rare scents. Among the perfumes created by Jovoy, I have already tried “L’Arbre de la Connaissance” (a lovely evocative name). The one I have been meaning to try is “Ambre Premier” as I tend to react well with scents based on amber.

    Oh my goodness.
    An entire collection of a fine niche house fragrances. The presentation is outstanding. The box is gorgeous, and with enough fragrance to test them properly.

    I haven’t tried anything from JOVOY, but a few weeks ago I was looking recently: 21 Conduit St, Psychédélique, and Rouge Assasin.

    Congrats to Jovoy for their 15th anniversary, and to CaFleureBon as well.

    It’s interesting how Cafleurebon approach and fragrances i can discover here seems to invoke the best of different eras of perfumery and I’m loving it. There are nods to more vintage aromas , and the blog is also adding to the schedule some current day trendy delicious fragrance .
    Thanks to Francois Henin and Michelyn Camen I feel scented now with passion and accuracy, and hopefully with not one but 16 beautiful Jovoy fragrances .

    Happy anniversary! What an achievement to have contributed so much to the fragrance community for 15 years and still be going strong. CaFleureBon has been a significant resource in my fragrance education. I’m a regular reader and dive deep into your trove of articles and reviews from years past.
    I have had Jovoy Fire At Will on my list of fragrances to try for quite a while. It would be an incredible experience to be able to sample the entire Jovoy line and understand why they are one of the most highly-regarded names in niche perfumery. Betsy – USA

    It could be my impressions only but I believe most people associate Jovoy with Psychedelique , one of the best patchouli fragrances I’ve ever smelled , and Cafleurebon with sophisticated , from cozy to edgy detailed reviews.
    It was a pleasure reading part1 of 15th Anniversary celebration ,i’ve learned a lot of today. What intrigued me the most, in no particular order a) Jovoy and Cafleurebon never-ending ambition to grow b) with Francois Henin guidance how popular the house of Jovoy has become c) his inventiveness and trust in Michelyn Camen d) How classy the Jovoy and Cafleurebon owners are e) the 15 years of hard work f) the Dream Box

    It’s amazing how long Francois Henin and Michelyn Camen worked towards turning their emotions and dreams into reality – I suppose the satisfaction is tremendous now.
    I’ve been a reader for two weeks even though I just registered and I find Cafleurebon very professional , all experts always take their time to talk about the presentation , the perfumer , the history of the brand, the ingredients , the whole creative process and not just how the fragrance smells.

    In my world 15th Anniversary is called Quindecennial or Crystal . Flower gift should be a rose , and the anniversary is associated with crystal gifts . I’d like to believe that’s why Francois Henin of Jovoy wanted to fete Cafleurebon readers with such general gifts, as a token of appreciation for Michelyn Camen and Crystal Anniversary traditions. I like the way he underlines that Michelyn and her team are THE global reference when it comes to talking about artistic and niche perfume.
    Jovoy is a great house , I have tested a few of their offerings . Don’t have a bottle yet , just samples but I’d name Fire at Will as my favourite.
    I’d love to discover the 16 crystal treasures that symbolise the enduring affection between Francois Henin and Michelyn Camen. I’m signing on for another 15 years too , the 30th so called Pearl Anniversary.
